Heard many a great story about this chain but working in the City and living in Queens it was tough to actually have an opportunity to try out this restaurant. Well today on January 2nd 2023, I had the opportunity was fabulous and it did not disappoint!!! I ordered #16 Hot Cheesesteak with American, then asked the young man behind the counter if there another choice and with a smile on his face he explained that there was provolone or swiss as available options. I chose the provolone and opted for double veggies (Onions and Peppers) and just as a I was about to walk away, I noticed portabella mushrooms were available so that was added too. I was eyeing the GIANT but when I noticed the previous customer's order, I quickly decided to opt for the regular instead. The sandwich was prepared expertly by a young lady at the grill and while watching her cook steak and veggies, the wonderful aroma started to make my mouth water, maybe I should have gotten the GIANT in hindsight. The sandwich was ready in about 8 minutes and it was HUGE (Subway, take note this is HOW a HOT steak sandwich is supposed to be made!!!) The flavor and amount of meat to bread was perfect, the seasoning was simply salt and pepper but the onions, peppers and mushrooms elevated the simple steak into something much much more!!! I am a NEW fan of Jersey Mike, now add me to the mailing list so I can wait on line for the 1st Manhattan location to open up!!! I love Jersey Mike's but for the 2nd time in a row my online order wasn't even in the process of being worked on and this is arriving after the pick up time at the Carle Place location. I don't understand why online ordering is even an option if they don't check to see if orders come in. This time was especially frustrating because it was a catering order fir a Super Bowl party. Will definitely not go back. Don't waste your time ordering online. UPDATE - we have ordered twice since this event. Once in person, once online. Both orders were perfect and delicious!! Let me start off with saying they make great sandwiches. Despite that, I am not likely to return. I tend to go by on Sundays after my kids go to swimming lessons. 2 weeks ago I went, the time I was told to pick up was late by about 20 minutes and then the forgot to include the canned soda and cookies. Last week, they were off by about 30 minutes and they handed me another sandwich they forgot as I was almost out the door. I always try to be patient (especially these days!)--but, the staff kept saying they had to support the line first (and I would have gotten served first if I had gotten in line v. ordering on their App). My advice--don't use the App! read more

I don't understand why the employees here are always SO rude. They never smile and they look miserable. They also always seem irritated even when you aren't being difficult. I like Jersey Mike's food but the employees are making me not want to return. I've been to other locations and they are always so friendly, not sure what is wrong with this one. read more

This is MUCH better than the Bellmore location. An actual manager, who is an adult, greets you. The sandwiches are good but they too quickly ask you if you'd "like bacon with that" and some people will think it's a "free option" . It's not. They should say "would you like to add bacon for an additional $________ ?" and note the price. Not sure if it's a sleazy move to add $2.00 to your order --or the staff just does not communicate well. The line moves fast but I do wish there was some distance from YOU and YOUR SANDWICH IN PROGRESS. There is just too much room for mishap or a paranoid "I hope that rag she just cleared the crumbs off with-- is clean". As another reviewer said "your sandwich is dragged all over the counter top--with no protection" . It should be in the paper wrapper while all this happens and it's not. We love Jersey Mike's. It is the freshest deli sandwiches in the area. Everything is sliced per person in front of you on fresh bread and piled high with toppings. Be sure to get your sandwich "Mike's Way" with oil, vinegar, and oregano. On warm days it's nice to sit outside and enjoy your meal. read more

Love me some jersey mikes. Everything tastes so fresh, and the fact that they legit slice the cheese in front of you only further proves the quality of the food they provide. They have so many different options, and i love that they have "mini" subs for the health conscious. The employees at this location are super nice, and didn't scoff when i asked for a custom sub. Sandwiches were good, but the service is terrible. The workers seemed mad that we were there and didn't seem like they wanted us to order food. I finally see what Jersey people are talking about when they speak about Jersey Mikes Subs. Way better than Blimpie and Subway. First off one type of bread or atleast I haven't seen any other type of bread being offered and it's soft and doesn't taste old. Second, they slice the meat fresh. It took me a couple of times to go to realize it because I ordered from the app and I just run in and pick up my food. I recently got the philly cheese steak and so good. Fresh peppers and an abundance of meat and cheese. The kids meal includes a drink a cookie. Pretty large menu. Highly recommend if you love subs read more

Love this place. I can say these subs are so much better than Subway and Blimpies and I am so thrilled to have a Jersey Mike's in my neighborhood. Great fresh ingredients, clean place, lovely staff, and they know how to package your items!!! Would recommend to anyone. Not sure about the negative reviews here. Granted, I was not visiting in the middle of the work day or anything, but the service couldn't have been better. Nicely greeted by manager, got exactly what I wanted, and had no problem asking that I get 1/2 to stay and 1/2 wrapped up to go. Most of all, the sub was terrific. I got the Turkey & Provolone "Mike's Way" and it was really flavorful and delicious, besides being extremely fresh. What I like is that the turkey and cheese actually tasted like something. At that other most popular "sub" shop (hint-hint), everything tastes exactly the same to me, one part bland, one part salty. Here, the provolone had a little tang, and the turkey tasted like actual roast turkey. Also, I like that the turkey was freshly shredded, not just some folded-over "mold cuts," as I call them. I recommend getting whatever you choose "Mike's Way," which includes onions, shredded lettuce, tomatoes with a really nice spice blend, oil & vinegar, s & p. At the beginning of the pandemic we were ordering from here pretty often maybe twice a week, but after a while it was not so great. After quite a while we decided to try it again and now I remember why we stopped ordering. First of all we got about 6 sandwiches for $150 and they were pretty awful. You could not find the onions and peppers in my Philly Sandwich. The Jersey Mike special of ham, cheese and cappy was stale, both the cold cuts and the bread, and they barely put my favorites on it, oil and vinegar. It seems that the staff is so miserable that they take it out on the sandwiches. No more Jersey Mikes for us. read more

Walked in at 815pm to get a sub. I was excited to try this place out for the first time. I walk in and they tell me they ran out of bread. Don't know how you run out of bread in a sub shop. My first Jersey mike sandwich was at Fort Lee and I loved it. It was fresh, tasty, and delicious. The place was clean and the staff was so friendly. After searching online for a location in NY, I was thrilled to come here and get the sandwich I have been craving for. But as I walk in, the AC was broken...counter refrigerator dripping water and all the opened cold cuts and cheese left outside in room temperature on top of the counter... this made me to have second thoughts on getting food here. Then the staff that was preparing the sandwich, was wearing the same gloves, touching the register screen, handling money transactions and with the same gloves went back to wrap the sandwich for the front customer ... got me even more scared and quickly my desire for Jersey mike sandwich dropped to zero. The male staff who made our sandwich was nice and friendly, but I think he was a bit upset when we asked him to change his gloves before making our sandwich. I wonder why the cold cuts and cheese were left outside and not put back in the refrigerator after ... maybe the staff will put it back after preparing our order but no... it remains outside in room temperature when we left. Is it for the convenience of the staff so they don't have to take in and out of the refrigerator? or they are just not aware of proper food handling? Anyway, the lady who made the hot sandwich for us, wrapped the sandwich and put it in the bag, did not hand me the bag, without saying a word and left to the back of the store. I had to pause for a second thinking if the order was ready for us. I have to reach over myself and turned the bag around and take my order and go. I have not felt this upset for a long time. Definitely a bad experience coming here and I will never return! read more

Just got my first sub from here today,an Original Italian, and it was great! Freshly sliced meats ( and a good amount of them)on a perfect sub roll, just the right amount of toppings, and a wonderful oil and vinegar dressing to top it off. Like a real Italian deli sandwich should be. I loved it. I will definitely be back. read more

While I can't say anything about the sub itself, the service was so awful we walked out. 6 people behind the counter, only 3 of them were doing anything...one guy walked out to get himself a soda and watched as the line grew longer and longer. I walked in earlier today 9/7 ordered my food & there was a women in there holding her dog talking to the man behind the counter i cancelled my order & proceeded to tell them that it was disgusting there is food in there plus i'm allergic to dogs only after i said something did the women take her dog outside unless it is a service animal they have no place being somewhere there is food i will never step foot in that place again read more

Ordered the Meatball sub for my daughters. It was beyond disgusting. The "sauce" was burnt and more like a thick brown paste. The "meatballs" were mushy and rubbery, definitely not fresh, probably a few days old sitting in the burnt sauce. Such a waste of money, went straight into the garbage. Will never return. Awesome, healthy, generous sandwiches!!! We had a regular roast beef and also an Original Italian sandwich. They sell three size sandwiches. The meat and cheese are freshly sliced also fresh sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, onions, pickles, peppers and many others to add to your sandwich. The store was nice and sparkling clean. The friendly and helpful staff are willing to please. We had our sandwiches to go and they were packed very well. We have never been to a Jersey Mike's until today rest assure we will definitely be back. Definitely recommend you give Jersey Mike's a try. You will not be sorry! read more

I have to say this place is great. I have been a loyal customer in Uniondale since it opened, but happen to pass by Carle Place this week and figured I would give it a shot. When I got inside the line was pretty long but the staff moved it like they had been working for years. They were very friendly and I felt just like I do in the Uniondale store. Sometimes I need an Italian sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers, oil & vinegar, oregano...Not an artisinal sandwich with crusty brick oven bread, and imported or house-made cold cuts like I'd get at Dinic's in Pilly, or Mama's in Corona, or Mike's Deli on Arthur Avenue, or Ardito in Mineola. For me it used to be a Blimpie's Best. Now it's Jersey Mike's #13. This is my second time at this location. The counter staff is polite and efficient and got my order -- hold the pepperoni, double the salami, extra provalone, lettuce, tomato, onion, cherry pepper relish, a little mayo, oil & vinegar, salt, pepper, organo -- just right. An important fine point in the craft of sandwich building is the concept of "wall to wall": get the ingredients reasonably even from edge to edge. I ordered a giant (it's enough for three meals) and they built it right both times. It's simple and basic but they don't do it at Blimpie, Subway, or Quizno's (and I don't know if it's just this location; sometimes it reflects the care of the manager). read more
