The portions were decent -- a little more than what we're normally used to, but not overly large. The gravy, however, wasn't quite what I prefer. It was more on the soupy side, and the flavor was a little bland, so I added some salt and pepper. Overall, it wasn't a bad breakfast, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. The food was okay, but for over $40 for two people, I felt the price was a little high for the experience. The hot chocolate was probably the highlight -- that was really good. Mike and Rhonda's has a classic diner atmosphere and a lot of character. My experience was that parents when I was there thought it was a free playground and while they got drunk just let their kids and I mean very young d just run around and had very little adult supervision. I think parents now a days have little respect for others space when it comes to their kids and I witnessed this first hand. I feel sorry for a newly started bar owner that had to be the bad one to tell a parent to actually parent their kids!!! It's not their place to do this but they are left with this responsibility because of the liability and ownership. Veronica you would like one of those parents that I explained that just let their kids run around and have NO respect for others. Next thing you know your kids are hurt or missing then who's to blame!!!!!!!! The second time, a woman actually told me I needed to get out because apparently I was "taking too long." I was literally just trying to finish washing my hands. I've never been rushed out of a restroom like that, especially as a paying customer. It was rude, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. If someone is using the restroom, give them a minute instead of repeatedly knocking and telling them to get out. There are much more respectful ways to handle the situation. Definitely left a bad impression and completely ruined my experience here. 1 star.
