I have visited this location a couple of times recently and I wanted to comment on the great customer experience. Whether it's through the phone or in-person, the employees here have treated me really nicely and they are so warm and welcoming. One employee in particular, Jon, really stood out to me. He was so nice when I came into the store last night, started a light conversation with me, and was just so polite and respectful. He is very easy to talk to and was super helpful in answering some questions for me related to local gyms (I'm newer to the area). I used to run customer experience for a technology company so this is something I really pay attention to when I'm out in public. This team is great and I look forward to returning again. read more

Just went to Jersey Mike's and I was really surprised that a Regular size was only 6" long. I think they are getting cheap with their sandwiches. I've noticed that in the past but I accepted it. Solid submarine sandwich shop. I give it 4 stars in its class. I enjoyed a meatball and parmesan sub on rosemary parmesan bread. It was the regular 8 inch sandwich, and I intended to just eat half, but it was so delicious that I devoured the whole thing. Tender meatballs, flavorful sauce, stringy cheese, all on a roll that could hold up to the sauce. I'm eager to try their chicken parmesan sub. My friend had a classic turkey and provolone sandwich, and she commented that unlike other sandwiches that have one flavor throughout, she was enjoying all the separate flavors of turkey, cheese, bread. Really disappointed in a recent experience. Obviously they need to train their staff to wear masks because it was an afterthought to the guy making my sandwich behind the counter. My sandwich was being made and I had to ask the guy to wear his mask. We are 7 months in to a global pandemic and this guy hasn't figured out how to wear a mask. What's worse, is that after we left, we saw he took his mask off again and started making other people's food! Unbelievable! I am a big fan of Jersey Mikes. They've long been an easy way to support both the ravenous needs of growing teenagers as well as the low carb desires of the rest of us who don't necessarily want to grow anymore. But more specifically, I've been working with THIS Jersey Mikes location for the last 3 years to provide dinners to elementary and middle school musicians and their families on concert nights. They provide delicious food at an affordable rate that families can easily afford. Val, the manager, is excellent. She runs a tight ship. My orders are constantly changing in the week ahead of the concert. I can reach out to her with updates and my order is ALWAYS #1 correct, #2 on time, and #3 supplemented with generous condiments. She always makes sure someone helps me wheel my load out to my car - often she takes time to do this herself. I am very thankful for a business in my community who is so eager to support youth. And I am grateful for Val, who is an excellent example of leadership and customer service. read more

Ok, I'm from the east coast, NJ to be precise. I'm intimately familiar with all the locations on that Jersey map on their wall. Point Pleasant is where it's at if you lived in Monmouth County and wanted some fun and sun, not to mention gut busting flavor from a submarine sandwich. Seeing as Jersey Mike's originated from that area, you can get the same great flavor and taste as "the shore" right here in Los Angeles. This place gets PACKED at lunch so arrive early or after the rush. Parking is not a problem, but watch out for the clueless drivers in that parking lot with cell phones glued to their ears. The young staff working the counters is INCREDIBLY friendly and outgoing. All of the ingredients are fresh. The lettuce is crisp and the meats are flavorful. Get it Mike's Way for an additional treat! Take is from a born and raised jersey boy when I tell you this place is the real deal. It's too bad they can't open a pizza joint out there that captures the same unique east coast pizza flavor that Jersey Mike's has found in their subs. NOTE: NEW LOCATION OPENING UP IN TARZANA!! So I placed one sandwich online for pickup on my break for lunch. When i opened my sandwich i saw it was made wrong. No big deal i work a few doors down so i just walked back over and they gladly re made the sandwich for me. When I get back to work & open my new sandwich i notice they made it wrong a second time! I asked for jalapeños and pickles on the sandwich and the first time they didn't add either, when they re-made it they added pickles & banana peppers instead of jalapeños, and for some reason the bottom bread was a piece of wheat bread with a piece of white bread on top. I've got a love-hate relationship with Jersey Mikes - but it's just so hard not to love their sandwiches. They set the standard for an east-coast style submarine sandwich. I've been to every location in the Thousand Oaks area. If you are looking for just a good ole set of cold cuts and fresh vegetables with oil and vinegar, this is the place to go. Of particular note, you can see them prepare your sandwich - from slicing the bread, shaving the cold cuts, to adding your toppings. You know it's fresh and will be to taste! Enjoy your experience. Absolutely worst sandwich and service I have ever Experienced in my life. I walked in @ 845pm tonight, all the chairs were turned up on top of the tables and all the floors were wet like they just dumped a bucket of water over it. We opened the door and asked if they were still open they said yes we walked in almost slipped twice on the wet floor. We were not even greeted with a welcome by black girl there. I got the impression she was too busy cleaning & closing up to make a sandwich. I told her what I wanted and then she gets a loaf of bread, and slaps it on the counter without even a paper under it. I asked her if she could at least put a paper under it for cleanliness she said she just sanitize the table before I came in and I was like so can you still put a paper underneath it it looks unsanitary. She should not have tried to justify her actions just have done what I asked her. Was it too much work for her to put a paper down before she cuts the bread? Then I asked if I could have a meatball sandwich she said they didn't have any more meatballs so I ordered the roast beef and provolone. She had this careless unpleasant attitude, like that was the last place she wanted to be was at Jersey Mike's working. My gut feeling told me to just leave but my son wanted a sub sandwich. She proceeded to cut meat and cheese put it on top then pass it to the boy next to her. The boy asked what do I want I said everything except onions. He then proceeds to put the top half of the bread on the table right next to the cash register & Black sharpie pen. Again I asked him can he not please put my bread on the table without a paper under it it's unsanitary. Again, my gut feeling told me I should just walk out this horrific place. At least he went and got another piece of bread and put a new one on for me. Then he could not find a knife to cut my sandwich and I said you know what forget it I can cut it at home. When we got home the sandwich tasted awful, there was no mayonnaise or oil and vinegar, it was the dryest sandwich we've ever had, such a waste of money we paid almost $19. How do they stay in business? I will never go back here and never recommend this nasty place with horrible service I actually want my money back. YELPERS STAY AWAY !! Being from Philly, I sometimes crave a hoagie or cheesesteak sandwich. These guys got the concept down and the quality is way up. This isn't my favorite Jersey Mikes but the food is consistently good. The one thing that kinda bugs me is you order your sandwich, tell the counter people (not servers in the least) how you want it, they make it for their hourly wage and when you go to pay they have this elaborate screen to tip the counter people (and the person taking your money will ask you 2-3 times to focus on the tipping screen). Honestly WTF? At this location, one person took 3 minutes to get my sandwich together at the highest minimum wage average in fast food pay in the country. When I said zero to the screen which was what I feel was earned here as no one served me even my damn sandwich. I noticed the good eye contact I had as i walked in, immediately disappeared. Food poisoning from this location. Very disappointing. I go to this location all the time but if you go an hour before they close, expect the results to be bad. Placed order at 8:03 when they closed at 9. Food was prepared, picked up and delivered to me by 8:20. All three sandwiches had so much oil and vinegar that the brown bags were wet. There was less meat in the sandwiches than the normal standard for jersey mikes locations. None of us cared that much until the next day when all three of us got extremely sick with food poisoning. Since that's the only place all three of us ate in the past 72 hours, it's clear it's from there. I understand that it sucks when someone places an order close to closing, but there was plenty of time and regardless that is no reason to cause actual harm to people. The only two downsides I would say are that the workers at night are not always the friendliest & they don't have a TON of veggie options. I actually usually like Jersey Mike's, the other locations I've been to have been great. This location in particular I will not be returning to. The last couple of times that I visited this location there was a woman worker that is extremely loud and rude to both customers and employees. She's constantly barking orders at the employees and she becomes frustrated with customers immediately. To top that off she made my wrap today and it was so haphazardly thrown together that I could barley eat it. I wish I had taken a photo to share here. Fantastic sub shop! A friend and I ventured over to get some delicious Jersey Mike's sub sandwich goodness. The staff was super friendly and attentive to every detail of the order. The food was fresh, tasty and filling. The location has plenty of parking but it can get busy around lunch. Luckily we beat the rush but it got very busy and packed right around noon. The facility is modern and clean. There is a soda machine that has Mt. Dew, so I was happy about that. Outside there are a few tables so you can enjoy the SoCal weather. Well folks, as a big fan of JM, it looks as though the honeymoon may be wearing off. Picked up an order last nite. Everyone behind the counter was discussing some inside joke and laughing out loud, totally ignoring me. Then the girl who prepares the food with gloves, drops cups on the floor and proceeds to pick them all up off the dirty floor. I expect to see her remove the gloves afterwards, but guess what: she went right back to food preparation. This went on in full view of a young woman I assumed was a manager (she wore a blue shirt which differed from the worker-bees). Manager didn't miss a beat and just kept joking around with the staff. Remember when these guys would recognize everyone who came thru their doors and greet them as valuable customers while taking their orders. Those days may be over, at least at the Westlake location. Here's hoping that the Newbury Park location still has the good ol' JM customer service I have come to expect. read more

Of course Jersey Mikes food is wonderful but this review is a testament to GREAT service! I had pre ordered a catering order for Super Bowl Sunday a few days before the game.. I go in to pick up my order but there is NO order.. I was asked if maybe I in error placed the order @ the Thousand Oaks location???? Something that sometimes happens... They called Thousand Oaks BUT No order there?? I know I have placed an order & given my credit card but WHERE?? The employee helping me was PAIGE... She continues to stay calm & helpful while we try & sort out the mystery order. I check my online banking and there is a charge from Jersey Mikes... GLENDALE!!!! A good 40 minutes away from this location... YIKES! I had googled the Westlake Jersey Mikes but the first call/directions button below the search was for Glendale.... PAIGE Told me this store was NOT connected to them it is a franchise and that store was not owned by the same owner so she couldn't credit me but she called the Glendale store, got them to credit my account and got my order made and I was out of there with my Super Bowl sandwiches in about 30 minutes! Alright alright, I know 4 stars, I keep handing them out. I was going to give 3, but I just felt like the employees were way too nice and fast. The place was tidy clean and relatively cheap for what we got. The only problem I had revolved around my Philly Cheese Steak. Granted it's the best one I have had in the SoCal area for a while, I just can't seem to find a place that makes them the way I prefer. See I like mine hacked to pieces on the griddle thingy. I like smaller pieces of the steak, I hate biting into a sandwich and having a gigantic piece of steak fall out of it. The cheese was great, melty and gooey, and the onions and peppers were okay. I personally like my cheese steaks stuffed to the brim with filling, but I found this one to be a little 'bready'. I guess I'm just very picky. My boyfriend got an Italian sub thingy, and it was pretty good too. Although it is true, they drown it in oil and vinegar, but that's alright with me, since I love both! Again like I said, the guys working the counter were really friendly, and we chatted while they made our food. We went for a late lunch and were the only ones in there practically, but I imagine this place can get pretty busy. Pretty darn good subs. Coming from San Luis Obispo, home of the best sandwiches...this is the closest thing to a High Street Deli (SLO, Ca.) sandwich that you're going to find down here in LA. My co-worker brought in today, and I got a roast beef sandwich with swiss. The ratio of veggies to cheese to meat to bread was excellent. It was a tad bit on the dry side, but still very excellent. Now, they don't slice the meat until you order your sandwich, which is like a real deli, so I get you're paying more for labor. Okay, fine. But if you look at the meat in the deli case, it's not really that impressive meat. It's not the meat of a real deli. And I've never even heard of one of those meats they have. And it's not like they give you a lot of the meat. So now I'm torn. The bread is fine but seems too light for a sub sandwich. It's like light, airy french bread. That's not what I want. Okay, the sandwich tastes okay albeit pretty plain unless like Subway, I have it drowned in vinegar and peppers again. So, is it so much better than Subway you should pay more than twice the amount and wait three times as long to get it (it's always busy here)? I'm going to vote no but give this place 3 stars anyhoo cos like I said, they do put in some effort and the sandwich does taste fine. If you're reading this specifically for the Westlake location, do yourself a favor and go to the Italia Deli on Kanan. They put pride in them subs! I usually get the Italian on wheat. The regular is like a 9" sub and costs like $8. Add chips and a drink you just dropped $10 like its hot Now about the sub, very good.
