I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. I've had an oil change done in January of this year and come to find out, when I did my oil change in March, the Burbank location had overtorqued and rounded out my oil drain plug. So now needing another oil change the end result is that the drain pan will need to be changed because they cannot save the drain plug. Dealer quoted me $400 & second estimate came in at $300. I have no choice but to go with the $300 quote. So i filed a complaint w JL corporate. A day later a customer resolution guy calls me and ask if i can get a hold of the old oil pan. Thye want to check it out. So i went to the mechanic and searched several trash bins but no luck. I called the guy back to advise and havent heard from him in about a week. read more

I was here in July and the service went as usual, but my oil light came on two days ago so I popped the hood to add a bit before I go for my next oil change. I see that the cap for my oil filter is missing! I never look under my good seeing as it's a 2013 car so everything should be working perfectly. I live in canyon country and only came here out of convenience because I was in the area. Now I have to buy a new cap! There could have been oil being tossed around under the hood and perhaps damage the car in some way. Also the phone number posted does not work. Eh. I'm writing a negative review because about 1 1/2 weeks ago I went there and was told that I could not receive an oil change because they didn't have the filter in stock for my car model. They told me I could go to the Glendale location and they would "probably" have it there. No offer to call and check. He said they could order the proper filter and it would take about 6 days. It is now 1 1/2 weeks later and I went online to try and call to see if they have the correct filter and there is an INCORRECT number listed on YELP and the other websites for them that I clicked on.... see for yourself right now... it goes to the operator! So I have to drive there to find out if they have the correct filter, as it seems I can't reach them by phone. I am not impressed in the slightest. read more

The place seemed fine but i felt like a number to them. Before you know what kind of oil change they are using they get all this info about you and the car, print out all this paperwork and finally you know what you are paying for and what kind of oil they chose for you. It was based on the manufacturers suggestion but last i heard this is America. We choose what we want. After all that I told him I wanted a different oil and he ripped up all the paper work and started from the beginning. Waste of paper and time. Valvoline places are better cause you dont have to get out of your car and it seemed quicker. Jiffy Lube also drives the car in for you making me feel like an old lady that doesn't know how to drive. I used to go to this branch all the time, and at first (like 10 years ago) I was impressed at how they washed my windows and cleaned out my car. Those extra services, tire pressure, wiper fluid, etc are still part of the signature service, but I'm not sure I get all of them every time any more. The real reason I stopped going a few years ago was because of the worsening attitude of the staff. Sometimes I actually felt unwelcome. There was patronizing sales pressure to change parts, even items I had just changed myself, plus increasing sloppiness with the work. Rags and the paper mats were left in the car, and one time I had to add oil shortly after getting serviced. It looked like they had left it two quarts short instead of the usual one. When I found a wrench in my engine, I decided to trade up. Anyway, I went back recently because my mechanic is closed on Sunday, and things are ok these days. No pressure to change the wipers I had just changed, it was fast, and they upgraded the waiting room chairs to leather instead of the stinky old cloth that used to be there. read more

Went for an oil change on a Wednesday afternoon. Before agreeing to service my car I asked how long it was going to take. "About 25 minutes," the guy said. It took more like 40 minutes and at no point did they apologize! The service was meh at best and it seemed like the guys are not happy to work there. Oh No! this is not right or correct, no upsell??? no, and I say NO WAY!. Must be something new, needless to say, my oil change came up to 64 bucks and my windshield needed to be exfoliated after the so called clean they did. My tires were so overinflated that my car (Pilot) was bouncing up and down like a rattler on steroids. I had a discount VIP card that was honored but was told that was the last time, if I want to get discounts for using them I have to purchase and 8 dollar rewards card, sorry but that is it for me. BTW, do you know that if you go to PEP Boys and buy your own air filter you might save 300% on the price, is an easy change and the only thing you need to know is the year and model of your car. The counter person was an automaton reading all the stuff that had been done to the car (window smeared was omitted, wonder if was a mistake??). Vacuum clean, yeah... added windshield wiper fluid (used it up to clean after they were done with it). Yeah, we are not all the same, I will not settle for less than excellent service, you want my money? Then make sure I am pleased. read more

I came here for an oil change. They tried to rip me off but I didn't fall for it. They immediately recommended the most expensive one because that's what my car takes ONLY. Then I told them no I don't want that and apparently now my car can take different types of oil lol. They also wanted to rip off me from the quarts of oil they were going to put in. I know about these things so I didn't fall for it. They said that my car required this many qts so they have to change for an extra quart. Something like that. So I was going to call someone in the same business to confirm and they told me right away, it's fine we won't charge you. They did do a fast job thohgh. That's why they're getting three stars. Also! This was my first time and probably last time going here. I got the 'fuel' package. It was pretty slow and my car was the only one in the shop. There were about 5 mechanics there. I went into the waiting room. I couldn't get a good view of my car or what they were doing to it, but I did get a good view of the mechanics who had nothing to do throw around dirty rags and play basketball trying to get it into the trash and generally goofing off. That was discouraging to see. I am a manager and as a service department, I would be mortified if clients saw my employees goofing off on the job. The service was fast, which got me paranoid because there seemed to be a lot to do with the 'fuel package' including the rotation of my tires, which I swear I didn't see them do. When it was time for me to check out, I showed the guy at the desk a coupon via my phone. The code didn't work and after several tries, he just looked at me as though I was supposed to do something. Then after I stared back at him, he called the manager. The manager tried to get the code to work, and after about 5 or 10 minutes, he fiddled around and entered in some other codes to get me the discount. As I was walking out, one of the mechanics said "your front driver side tire has low air". But he didn't say if they filled it or not. I haven't noticed any improvement or difference in my car, I don't know if I'm supposed to, but I left there feeling pretty uneasy. read more

Given my aversion to upselling, I usually avoid "chain" establishments (such as Jiffy Lube) like the plague, but I really couldn't have had a more positive experience at the Burbank location. The guys working were super friendly, and even went so far as to show me into the waiting room and point out the restroom and water/coffee available for customers - nice touch. As a young woman with limited knowledge about the inner workings of cars, I'm aware that I am a seemingly easy target for upselling, and I had all but rehearsed my polite response to the classic upsell. Much to my delight, I didn't have to use it - the gentleman who rung me up at the register made no mention of any timing belts or air filters that suddenly needed replacement. Pretty underwhelming. First thing they did was try to manipulate me into buying the synthetic oil by telling me that it would void my warranty if I didn't use it. I checked before committing, and the dude was full of it so I got regular old oil, made the old fashioned way. One interesting thing about places like this, is upper management mandates certain points of customer service, so the employees do them in such a way that conveys their utter lack of enthusiasm, not only for their job, but for life itself. "Have a nice day" or other such manufactured niceties. Upon exiting, I discovered they did such a crappy job washing my windows, they actually got worse. It's a shame there are so many negative postings. I had a VERY positive experience. Just needed an oil change after my 2000 mile drive back to Cali from Chicago. I expected them to find "other" things wrong (bc usually car places attempt to manipulate you into more then you came for), but nope. Solid 25 minute oil change service- checked all necessary fluids, tire pressure, etc. Looked crowded in the waiting room, but went by quickly. Even washed my windows and vacuumed my carpets which was a bonus in my opinion. There was a yelp coupon, but they have be a better deal with a coupon they had on hand which was 10$ off...I paid $32.68 total with taxes. All staff were very friendly and seemed to care about their customers. They even said that if anything goes wrong within the next 3 months, I can bring my car back for a free check-up and oil service. As of now, I will be back! read more

Went to Jiffy Lube on 11/23/12 to get an oil change and to have a burned out blinker lamp replaced. It went well, so I thought. Oil change went well. No so for the replacement lamp. I noticed the next day that my dash was counter blinking when I use the blinker that was replaced. I returned to the location to have the employees that did the work fix what was wrong. What I got was, "We didn't do anything" Well it didn't do it prior to you doing the replacement. So I asked them to replace the lamp again. This time I stayed right there and watched. I am an electrician by trade, so I have some knowledge of wiring. They did replace and the symptoms continued. They told me it was a short. I wasn't buying it. If it was a short it wouldn't work at all. So I went to the local Auto Zone and looked up the lamps that go with my Make and model and installed it myself. And it worked just fine. They installed the wrong type of lame for my SUV. Bottom line go to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and to a mechanic for all else. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube last week to get a very simple damn oil change. That is what they do there OIL CHANGES!!!! Well, a day later I noticed a leak. I called and took it back and they said it is fine it is from moisture. Hmmm, well I looked today and there is a oil leak. I am a driver I just got this car in Feb and it had no oil leaks!! I take it here and bam an oil leak. I will take it to the dealer today. To see what they fucked up on my car. NEVER GO HERE THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD. So mad. read more

I brought in my Toyota Corolla for a basic oil change. When I got back to work I realized that while at the jiffy lube one of the employees had broken the door handle while working in the car! I called the jiffy lube and was promised that next time I came in they would "take care of me..." I ordered the replacement part, $10, and spent the time to fix it myself. I came back a month later with my pickup and expected to get "taken care of". Manager remembered me and only offered $10 off. I explained that didn't cover the cost of the part, and that surely she could do better than that, she held her ground at $15 and lost a customer. You can get better service elsewhere. read more

I stopped by the other day to try and get my air conditioning working with their AC Evacuation and Recharge service. It normally costs $150. Richard checked under the hood and discovered that my air conditioning censor had been accidentally disconnected. So he re-connected the censor, fixed my air conditioning, and didn't charge me anything for my visit. Richard was so amazing, and kind to help me out and saved me a lot of money in the process!
