Shame on me. Money was tight so I thought it would be a good idea to get my brakes changed here. The brakes ruined my rotors so then I got rotors there. 2 weeks later my brakes are screeching ridiculously. I go back and the specialist says the are new so they "crystallized." Month or so later and I get embarrassed EVERY TIME I brake. I requested the "best" one they had, but it's clear to me they put some very cheap brake pads on my truck... FML!!! read more

Awful awful awful. I went in just for an oil change. I walk in the girl asks for my truck keys and tells me someone will be right with me. I wanted to get a price b4 anyone touches my truck. I look outside the window from the office and I see for workers (kids) opening my car doors and hood checking and probing my truck. I was furious. One of the teenagers walks in a starts telling me what the car needs. " dude I just wanted a price to change my oil. I didn't give anyone permission to start tearing my truck apart." He tells me it's apart of the service. I said ok. Just change my oil. He begins to go off the list if items that he checked that need to be serviced. I told him no!!!! Again just change my oil. He told me that they checked all my lights in included my brake lights and said they are all working correctly..... Hahaha. I said really are u sure u checked my rear brake lights ,, because when I left the house today my GF said the my rear passenger light was out!!! He looked at me and said "really". So we walked out and sure enough my rear brake light was out. Unbelievable!!!!! The place is worthless!!!!!! Take it to your local mom and pop mechanic shop. Your better off then being lied to by a bunch of kids that joke around the whole time they are "working" on your car! FTP!!! read more

I Always bring my car here. She is a very pampered 1994 Cadillac Eldorado. I bring her in every 6 to 9 months for a oil change, which includes filters, oil & air and checks and tops off all my fluids and checks my electronic devices. I went today and got my oil changed and was treated very professionally as always by Alan & his crew. I had a tail light out that I did not know of and they pointed it out to me and asked if I wanted to add that to my service for just $8.99. I did. They didn't replace the carpet liner back correctly which I just noticed when I got something out of my trunk, but I will go back tomorrow and have them fix it. Which I am sure they will. I highly recommend This Jiffy Lube Location. I always ask for the Manager's Special $27.99, but it always costs more because I have a bigger engine and it takes more oil, not their fault. So far I will keep coming here and give them a good review, and as I said I would recommend this location to others. read more

CROOKS and sloppy mechanics. Avoid this spot. Got oil change and found my car leaking, turns out these snakes forgot to atcully tighten my oil drain plug! But it doesn't stop there.... Turns out they also did not replace the oil filter! So, I came in to rectify this and asked to speak to manager and instead spoke to the regular attendant, waited for over 50 minutes to get oil replaced and new oil filter. But hey if you want to get your air filter and wiper blades replaced this is your spot as they for sure try to price gailuge you there. read more

I had to take my car in for service today. I had taken it to Jiffy Lube on Firestone in Downey several years ago and they were very nice, so I took my car back again today. It was a lot of work to be done, and they worked with me on the cost because I'm on Social Security. They were very pleasant, and I would recommend anybody taking their car there. These guys are crooks. It had been a while since I got my oil changed there. The last time I asked for the manager special $27.99 and the guy that took my keys said "no problem". When I went to pay they tried to charge me over $39.00. I told them that I had asked for the manager special and he told me that my car was on a fleet account and I couldn't get the special price, so I told them to cancel my fleet account. During the same visit I heard one of their technicians tell a young lady that she had to buy the more expensive synthetic oil for her model car- a Toyota Camry. I figured it was a couple of bad employees. So now, a year later, I decide to give them a try and go in to get a transmission flush. I asked the guy that wrote me up if they do a full flush or just drop the pan and replace the filter. He specifically told me that they drop the pan first to replace the filter and then they do a full flush which forces all the transmission fluid in the car out, including the fluid in the torque converter. Then they replace it with new fluid. I was quoted just under $200.00 I sat outside in the shade watching the guy work on my car. After about 30 minutes a technician came up to me to tell me they were all done. I asked how they could be all done if they never hooked up the machine to flush the transmission? After studdering for a few minutes he asked me "oh, so you wanted a double flush?". I responded "No, I want what I asked and paid for. I am not leaving until you flush the transmission." After leaving, I looked it up online and found that NBC did a report on the chain and found that this kind of scam was standard practice with them. Buyer beware!!!! read more

This week I needed an oil change and my dealer was super busy. I was in a bit of a hurry so I stopped at the Jiffy Lube in Downey. A bit later I was driving down the 605 freeway when my hood suddenly slammed open. Once I got to the side of the road and started taking pictures I found a mechanics rag stuck in the hood latch. This could have been so much worse yet now they are trying to force me to go to another body shop to save them a few bucks. I will never go to a Jiffy Lube again. read more

ALMOST PERFECT !! Decided to get a simple oil changed after a long day seeing patients around 6pm, I think it was Wednesday this week. I pulled in, the young guy was nice and greeted me asked if I wanted the same service as last time, I said yes. I went and sat down. A older guy between 40 and 50, I assumed is the manager because of his age, gave me the quick run down. I told him I didnt want the oil filter. He said nothing. After sitting down I realized I made a mistake and said I didnt want the oil filter but was suppose to say I didnt want to replace the air filter. They finished with the oil change really fast. As I was paying I asked the older guy, " did you change the oil filter? I made a mistake when I told you to dont change the oil filter." He says nothing. I said, "sir did you...." he said, "you said you didnt want the oil filter !!" I said, " yes I made a mistake." He said in a upset way, "we changed the oil filter at every oil change." And he stares at me very upset. I said, "ok thank you. That's all I wanted." Walking to my car, I thought, maybe he was having a bad day. But other than that, it went well . read more

I came to check my fluids on my car and ask a few questions. The customer service was just great! He checked my fluids, refilled them and explained to me exactly what I needed and didn't over charge me like other places have before. The guy who helped me was Austin. I got a oil change and he showed me what was recommended and didn't try and make me get things I didn't need. The other guy there Luis and he was very polite and not pushy at all. I brought my car in to this jiffy lube for an oil change. When I drove my car in the lady asked me wanted I needed to be done. I told her just an oil change. She said, "we have a special of $29.99". I thought to myself that's not a special that's kinda of what it costs. Anyway then a man named Tony explained to me that I needed my spark plugs changed, my air filter and told me that my rear brakes were about to hit the metal that I need to change them right away and that it would cost me $650.00 for everything he mentioned. He must of thought that I knew nothing about cars cause thats not what it costs. Also he wanted to charge me $60.00 to change the oil. Then I asked to see the brake pads. There was still some pad left. And I told him that's a lot for an oil change He said, well look at the oil your getting! I said the lady quoted me $29.99. He then paused and said, oh ok I can change that for you. I told him I would be taking my car somewhere else for changing the rear brakes. To make a long story short I found a good mechanic on yelp that charged $154.00 to change rear brakes and my cabin filter! Never again will I go to that jiffy again. $650.00 that's crazy!! read more

Sorry, but my visit was NOT what I expected as I was suggested to write a review before any service was done so that I would get "hooked-up" with a discount & who doesn't enjoy a discount. On 3 occasions I mentioned it to Tony that I did NOT need an oil change since I had just gotten one at Walmart on 6/05/20, but upon reviewing of my receipt I was charged for it & 2 other items Tony said he was throwing in for "free". So after 4hrs of waiting for my car to get serviced & taken out for a test drive... my daughter & I were shocked that my car did not want to start again. After many tries to get it to start & switching batteries I was told it was a bad battery (which btw is 9mo old). Then it was the alternator (also had fixed in 1/05/19) & finally it was the starter. So basically I was there for brakes & ended up having the cashier Tony up sale me services that I could have done without since my car had no other issues, but the brakes. Dont get me wrong the mechanics that got my car serviced Upper bay, ACH tech, Insp tech, Brake tech, Engine tech & Tire tech: Gabriel G. and Lower bay: Alexis G were AWESOME. The kicker is that the young men that actually got their hands dirty servicing my car will not enjoy the commission.. shame on u Jiffy lube. Not the experience I thought or wanted for my daughter to have... hope us being female had nothing to do with the up sale. read more

I brought in my mothers car the other day for an oil change but some guy named Mo was pressuring me to buy brakes and was making me feel extremely uncomfortable by how sweaty and how bad his breath smelt (he was way too close to me) he also seemed to get upset when I denied the service... I talked to my mechanic to see if it was true if the car needed brakes and he told me they were fine. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! They just lost a loyal customer because of this. First off they get my name wrong on paperwork and everything then they messed up my car twice with the oil change service, 500 $ down the drain for trusting there services I had fixed my car thinking it might just be my car paid 2000 returned for a simple brake oil change and following day it shut down again don't go to jiffy lube someone told me there known for messing up your car never believed till now that my car is damaged!!!
