I can't believe I just paid $98 for a damn oil change ?! Did I miss something ! I never paid over $70 any where else

My first time dealing with this jiffy location in Manteca and it was horrible. I called in around 3pm and just like I normally would for any type of services I wanted to see what their wait time is and maybe get services done today. I was greeted by a person named David on the phone and just after i said " hi, David my name is Anthony" he abruptly said "call back later and hung up." I don't know maybe this jiffy location is doing so well that it doesn't need my business, and/or they can pick and choose what customers they want. I would recommend staying away. read more

This place is garbage TWICE they f&$ked up on my car up first time they forgot to reset something on the computer and I broke down a 1/4 mile down the road. I thought it might have been a fluke so I gave them another try this time when I drove off I noticed my check engine light was on so I went back and this idiot tried to convince me it was on when I got there!! Had to come in for an oil change Sat. Because I felt a little lazy. The hard upscale they give people was making me sick. Perfectly fine air filters that techs were saying "totally should be replaced" hard sale on the high mileage synthetic oils. Brake line flushes because the fluid "looked" strange. My God I wanted to vomit. Just change my oil and keep your $25 windshield wipers to yourself. read more

THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS! Dont ever take your vehicle here. I took my Vette here for smog check and it failed miserably. They offered to diagnose the problem for 3 hundred dollars more. I said no way because i know my car is well maintained and should pass easily. The NEXT DAY i took my car to a different smog place and it passed with flying colors. This place just wants to rape you for your money. They will try and scam you any chance they get. They are all lowlife scumbags who work there. You will not pay $29.99,the saleman will try to talj you into getting synthic oil ( which cost more money), as a woman you just need to put the same oil in your car that youve been using . Came out paying over $50.00. Then the guy that gave me my car when it was finished wanted a tip. Well here my Tip- will continue to travel to Big O Tire I. Tracy and pay $30 that includes sales tax. Went to this JiffyLube on N. Main in Manteca today, but I have to say that I was very nervous about it. I had had a bad experience with a JiffyLube garage in my immediate area at one time. (The fellow working on the oil change pulled my transmission plug versus the oil plug. They had to send my car to the local transmission shop and I had to rent a car for a week. They paid the transmission repair costs and the basic car rental charge, but would not reimburse me for any add'l insurance costs which I incurred.) But that was a long time ago and I was in a pinch. I'm not very good with staying on top of oil changes (I need a savvy boyfriend, please!) and a little birdie told me that I HAD BETTER check my oil before my drive back home...70 miles away. I am so glad I pulled in cuz I was 1/2 quart of oil down! From the moment I drove in, all the guys were courteous and helpful, even when I grilled JC in the office about the type of oil, services offered, costs involved, and then the final cost...to the dollar. He never once developed an attitude, nor became condescending, even though he had to run out and get someone to help him with all my questions and calculations at least 3x. A little remark I made let him know that I was being cost conscious and he offered me a discount on the spot. While I didn't purchase all the services offered, JC explained (and showed me) the reasons for the extra services. Obviously, I needed oil badly and because of recent work I had done on "her" and her mileage, I decided to have two of the other services offered. And I'm glad I did. She just pur-r-r-r-r-r-e-d all the way home. Even though it is not in my neighborhood, I will stop in for their "top off" services next time I'm in town visiting the relatives. And...ahem, ladies...it doesn't hurt that the guys are gentlemen (holding my car door open) AND "easy on the eyes." read more

Went there immediately greeted and walked me in their waiting area , showing me where's the restroom and coffee, and water that I can have... The technician that handled my car his name is Nah he is very nice and the one the surprise me the most is he showed me how to fix my loosen belt... Wow... They are so sweet here! I showed up right at 6 (right at closing, yeah I know I'm that terrible person this time) and they welcomed me right in since they still had some cars they were working on. Bought my Jeep new in Feb 2012 and this is the only place that has serviced my car. That service all 3 of my cars and I have no complaints.

Have changed my oil here twice with no problems. Remember, this type of business is just like any other business, the more they sell the more money they make. If you're like me and only want an oil change just make sure to firmly assert to yourself that it is all you'll agree to. If you're weak-minded, help yourself by only bringing enough cash to pay for your oil change. Don't pretend to be a victim of the Jiffy Lube Jedi mind tricks that led you to spend $250 on changing all of the "recommended" "routine maintenance" services--I'm talking to you females. read more

I heard a noise coming from my front end so I took it to the shop. The mechanic informed me that my front end had not been lubed! $1,300 later I asked Jiffy Lube to help with the costs and they said NO! There are other places to go that actually do their job! read more

Waited for 45 minutes for a top-off and a radiator check. I had been there 3 weeks earlier and had my radiator flushed. Now I have to keep replacing my radiator fluid every week so I took the car back. They made me wait 45 minutes, drove my car in, and then backed it out again for another car. I know they were busy at the time but after 45 minutes and watch them serve other people before me was all I could take. They have been sloppy with their work lately so I will not be returning to Jiffy Lube. read more

I went here only because my back was bothering me and didn't feel like crawling under my car. I specifically said I wanted the 29..99 oil change and that was all. After being told I needed numerous additional unneeded services I was told the cost would be well over 40.00. When I asked what happened to 29.99 I was told that it was inferior oil. If it is inferior why are they using it? My car called for 5-20 wt. oil as noted on oil filler cap. when I looked at service order it said 5-30 wt. I told manager of this and he changed it on the computer. He did not tell the tech. servicing my car. before the tech. put oil in my car I asked him if it was the proper wt. as noted on oil filler cap. It wasn't. If I wouldn't have told him I would have left with incorrect oil! Definitely won't be returning!!! read more

RUN Forest! RUN!! My husband normally changes my oil but we were running short on time so I brought my car in close to opening time, and was told I had a 45 min - hour wait. After about 40 minutes, I returned to a full waiting room, and a rather arrogant, unfriendly service writer telling me how lucky I was that I came back when I did because they weren't going to work on my car if I wasn't there waiting for it. He proceeded to tell me my options of oil changes and strongly suggested I choose the $90 Oil change; I chose the $40 one , and further disgusted him because I was unwilling to change my air filter for another $40something. At about that time, The head mechanic came in to tell me that it would take a little longer because the "previous people who changed my oil" damaged my oil pan plug. Seemed kind of odd since my car was already torn apart that they "just found it."... Coupled with the fact that my husband, Mr. Meticulous, never found it before! When I asked how much it would cost to replace the plug, he said we don't charge for that, but the "service" writer immediately jumped in and said, "oh yes we definitely will charge!" When I asked how much $$ the head mechanic said he had to go find out if it was even in stock. At this moment the service writer ran out behind him and had a 3minute talk to the mechanic. He came back to let me know that they're not going to service my car! (After an hour and a half wait). Took my car home, my husband checked the supposed damaged plug. Jiffy Lube in fact, stripped my drain plug because they put the wrong size tool on it!!! Nice, but rather incompetent guys in the bay, HORRIBLE service writer - greedy greedy greedy!!! (Pretty sure the service-writer was the owner). Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, The European dealership is the same price this guy wanted to charge, and it's much better service - and dealership even details your car! BTW: we now have to replace the entire oil pan read more
