Pretty reasonable prices although drinks were a bit expensive. No refills on small OJ portion. Corned beef hash was good. Kids French toast was a hit although the portions were small even for kids' standards. Waffle was cooked to perfection. Chocolate chip pancakes were yummy. I'm honestly not sure how this place gets 5 stars. We came here solely based on the reviews and thought the food would be great. It was honestly just ok. Nothing to write home about. In fact that was my husband's response to his meal. The bacon was absolutely disgusting and tasted like it had been cooked in beef drippings. Even the kids said it tasted gross. My husband ordered an omelet with hash browns. The omlet was just ok and the hash browns were soggy. The biggest dissapointment came when our food was delivered and my husband accidentally spilled a glass of juice all over our food and myself. While our waiter was helpful in getting us rags to clean and replacing our soiled food when the bill came we were still charged for all the new food. While I can understand the food was wasted and accidents happen I was just surprised given none of the food was even eaten. We were in the process of cutting up the French toast for the kids. The owner did charge us half price for the 3 replaced meals however when I asked about it upon checking out his response was rather brash in saying " well you spilled the juice so why should I have to pay for the food? I at least met you half way." Well sir accidents happen , life happens and while the gesture was appreciated the response was less than kind and customer friendly. A friend of ours recommended Jimmy's Kitchen as a great place for a simple breakfast. We were seated right away, table was clean and the server was friendly, already better than some places down at the ocean! Food was came out hot and fast, no soggy toast! I ordered a scrapple sandwich on white toast with egg, cheese, mayo and onion. It was made just how I like it and was a generous size. My in-laws enjoyed their omelet, grits, and biscuits. My husband wasn't overly impressed with his corned-beef hash and chipped beef, which I believe they are known for. I wouldn't call it bad, just not something to write home about. The corned beef was salty and didn't offer much in the flavor department, just your average corned beef. The prices were comparable to other breakfast places, my scrapple sandwich with just the sandwich was 5.60. All four of us who dined at Jimmy's Kitchen were happy with the overall experience. We have eaten here several times; we usually bring out of town guests. We were very disappointed this time. We sat at the counter and ordered iced tea. We thought the waitress got mixed up and brought water. We mentioned it to her, she said " they were changing the machine ". She brought new ones; not any better. She did not ask, so we said nothing. We ordered our food, which was good, but the plate my husband got looked like a child's portion. The tv was on, blaring the McCain funeral; which further ruined my breakfast. AWESOME breakfast!! I have never reviewed any restaurant before but this time I HAD to! If you visit Ocean city, this restaurant is a MUST DO. They have tasty food with decent pricing and large quantities. It can get pretty crowded during peak seasons. We were there on a Sunday and they still managed to seat & serve us real quick. My husband loved the chipped beef in cream, the sausage and the pancakes. My favorites were the bacon, vegetable omelette and the hash browns. The best part is how FRESH their food is. You can certainly feel it in the way its made (unlike many restaurants that serve old/preserved/pre-made food). I loved their service and Cici (who served us) was great. Cici was prompt and ensured all that we wanted regularly in-spite of the restaurant being loaded! The ambience is just alright. But who cares when you are all glued to your plates!! :D Do try it. Worst breakfast spot around. I ordered a hot tea and the healthy choice breakfast and opted to add cheese to my omelet. I wasn't able to drink the hot tea because it tasted like dish soap. My omelet arrived and two pieces of congealed cheese were thrown on top omelet as an after thought. It wasn't even melted so that should tell you the temperature of my meal. I read the other reviews but we didn't care for this. My husband found the eggs tasted like something he didn't care for. Maybe oil or spices from other food. He also didn't like the hash brown taste. We were seated at a middle table that had a continual stream of servers, cleaners and other people walking by. The sun showed off lots of dust from the old carpet. I was ok with my breakfast but you have to be ok with close quarters. read more

Chel and I always go here for breakfast when we visit Bob and Donna in Bethany. The foods always solid - hot, flavorful and fresh. Portions are large, and the price isn't too bad. The hash browns are always a little underdone and white for my taste, so I ask for them well done and crispy. Also, the last couple times Chel ordered the cream chipped beef it was a little tight and gloppy. Just order it a little looser and they'll add a touch of milk. There's usually a wait for seating on weekends but it's never too long for a two top. The last couple visits we walked in and sat at the counter with no wait and the server was always very attentive there. It's a go to spot you'd miss because it's in a little strip mall, but it's definitely worth seeking out. Go once and you'll return as one of their legion of regulars. read more

Delicious and inexpensive! I stopped in with a friend on a Sunday for a brunch. There was a little bit of a wait for a table so we decided to just sit at the bar. Quick service and the coffee was delicious. I ordered two eggs, bacon, hash browns, with a biscuit. Eggs were delicious, the potatoes were plentiful and not too salty or greasy, and the bacon was piled high (a generous 5 strips!) The biscuit was pre-cut and pre-buttered and was fantastic. My friend had a Scrapple sandwich and while I'm not usually a fan of that sort of thing I did catch a whiff of it and it smelled delicious. Don't go there, rude self centered staff, I used to go there once a week, and in off season. I guess they thought I was a pa out of Towner ( i had pa shirt on) I showed up 20 min before they close and they tell me there closed . If they want to close at noon they should change there sighs and web site. I told them I was by my self and would be out of there before the other dozen or so people in there . They said they where out of SOS. I said just get me pancakes . They then told me they where closed . I told them to check with jimmy as I saw him on the grill and this other guy comes back and says there closed . What a bunch of lazy "$-/" I guess that's shy Jimmy's still flipping pancakes because his business won't grow when u treat people like crap. I went down the block to Dirty Harry and had better pancakes and friendly service , and was out of there at 12:30 , the time Jimmy's sign says they closed .
