I really wanted to love this place and I do not give this 2-star review lightly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was great, very kitschy decor and friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Expected knock-your-sock-off diner food but was left disappointed. Especially with the creamed chipped beef (S. O. S), it was really bland and tasted like a heavy cream, thick with no flavor.

Jimmy's is a must every trip to the beach. At least once. Sat at the bar today. Dashie was my server. She's very friendly and efficient. And as a creature of habit, I ordered my usual sausage, ham and cheese omelette with the side slab of SCRAPPLE and rye toast, which is essential at places like Jimmy's. Especially topped with orange marmalade. Food and service rule along with the sunshiny ambience of the beach. All is good. Even when boss isn't there. Great crew. Great service.

Pretty great! I almost got popped because they have mirror windows I guess to block the heat / sun so it looked closed. Sat right away, they have tees and stickers, read their chipped beef was the item to try - so I did and it was like my great grandma's that is good. I appreciated the young man who was working hard - like clock work every minute he would make a round to check for water fill ups and tables to clear. I assumed he was maybe someone's son but he did a great job!

Stopped here for a weekday breakfast while down in the Ocean City area. First thing - they are open everyday, even though when we pulled up it looked like they were closed. Decor is a very bright and loud - we were sat in a booth and ordered quickly. I went with a coffee and a scrapple omelette with hashbrowns. Comes with the standard toast as well. I really appreciate the single serve variety of jellies and jams in the packets so I could have one of each. Lady was nice who waited on us. Appreciated it. Would recommend!

Someone in this establishment was a jerk about them not taking American Express. I've been using Amex for over 25 years. I proceeded to tell him Amex protects its users. I told him I would not be back, and that I was not even from around there, and he said I seemed angry like a jerk, I took that as him projecting. I told him I was not angry and that I would simply not be back. I am writing this to tell everyone to Forget that place and that guy, not even sure who the hell he was. The food was okay, nothing you cannot make better yourself at home, and everything seemed adequate until I spoke with the arrogant subhuman when paying. As stated, will not be back. After reading all the other negative reviews of this place I have a better understanding of what is wrong with this place.

    No explanation needed!!

It's the best breakfast on the shore. Head to Fenwick Island and try the SOS, then you will never eat another place in the am. Very quick service, very friendly staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a small town beach feel and has a counter to eat at as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love Jimmys

I'm visiting my friend at his beach house right across the highway from Jimmy's, like literally can walk there in 3 minutes. He says "it's the best breakfast in Fenwick" and that he is a true regular there and never eats breakfast anywhere else. Usually he goes in alone and sits at the bar so today was the first time he came and sat in the diner with us (3 friends). He was NOT LYING. BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER. Everything was made just right. I got the Nor'Easter with SOS and hotcakes. BEST HOTCAKES. BEST SOS (creamed chipped beef if you're lost). It's a very small place but the business they get proves that it's the best. A literal line out the door. Unless you get there right at 7am, expect a wait. And they're only open til noon so you gotta make time for this place. The service is outstanding too. If you can be patient enough to wait for a seat, it's friggin worth it. It's QUICK SERVICE for such a busy place. Between 4 of us, we ordered enough food to think it would take a minute, and it literally on took 5 minutes. Plus everyone is super nice. I could go on and on, but basically - you need to eat here. And it's so cheap for the quality of food and service. I haven't written a review in awhile and it's so good I had to write one. Thanks so much for filling my tummy 2 days in a row (and probably again tomorrow).

    So damn good.

Let me shorten my review when I say....breakfast at OCMD and Fenwick Island DE close breakfast by 1pm latest. Prob by noon. ..Anyway, after questioning places to see if their chipped beef gravy was homemade, I x'd out a couple places and came across Jimmy's Kitchen! There's people lined up outside. I rolled my eyes "again" and found parking. I walked past the people, to put my name on the board. Party of one!! (Yep! Even on vacation with the fam). She said you can sit at the bar if you like! I agreed and asked if chipped beef gravy was homemade. She said yes!!!! I sat at the 8 person "bar" Jen took my order. She was a great and friendly person. I put in my order. Chipped beef gravy. Comes with hashbrowns and I added to eggs with coffee. I could see the guys cooking from my seat. I'm sure they made a mixed tape of all my likes! I heard Zeppelin, The Doors, and Bob Marley. I was in the right hole in the wall for sure. My entire plate needed NO salt or pepper!! It's was Perfect! Got Dang delicious! And for less than $17. I'm glad I took the time to stop and ask about homemade food. It's great that businesses were honest about if their food was homemade or not. Totes respect. Jimmy's.......all my love! My plate was literally clean when I finished!!! I'll come back! Don't change a thing.

    Fun sunny decor!

I'll give the restaurant a 4 star review for the sauces and food combinations. The fish and pork chops were an excellent choice for my guests. Unfortunately I ordered the flank steak, medium rare. I didn't send it back which would have ruined the mood of the dinner, but the pork chop took 25 minutes to prepare. The flank steak came out luke warm and was not at all tender. It would have been better medium or medium well as it was a bit rubbery. The server should have warned me when she indicated to my guest that she preferred the pork chop. She was a bit abrupt and talked too fast. The Parker house rolls were a bit dry, not warm and tough. I'm from Baltimore and Parker house rolls are should be warm, soft with a lovely aroma and melt in your mouth. The honey butter helped but not enough. We ordered the strawberry short cake for dessert. The presentation was lovely and the strawberries fresh and sweet, but the short cake was dry. I assume it was awarded the James Beard for the sauces and creative combinations, which admittedly were wonderful, but there are some simple things the chef needs to consult his grandmother on how to prepare.

The Chef looks familiar, I think I tasted his food before at one of the Celebrity Chefs Brunches for Meals on Wheels. I remember it being fantastic. There is outside dining but I booked inside as we weren't sure how warm it would be in May. It turned out to be a cold and windy weekend so we were very glad to be inside, plus the outside tables have a view of the highway. What a cute little restaurant inside; it is very tiny. We were crammed into a table in the corner. It was difficult to get past the other diners at their tables, and we could hear all the conversations around us. Every table was packed, I can't imagine what it's like in this room during the busy summer. Noelle was our server and she was amazing; very knowledgeable and friendly. She described the homemade bread service to us, and we ordered 2 Coastalpolitans which were made with Tito's Vodka, lime, soju, St. Germaine, and cranberry. They were sweet, and tart, and bright, and delicious. We decided on crab toast instead of the bread, and Noelle said we made the right choice. Wow, she was correct. The crab toast blew us away. It was chunks of crab on fluffy, crispy milk bread with pickled scallions, radish, lemon aioli, kelp powder, and lime. So beautiful and so delectable! RJ ordered the Pork Chop, which Noelle said One Coastal is known for, and I ordered the NJ Day Boat Scallops. We had no words. We sat there and quietly enjoyed every bite while listening to the surrounding tables, and knew we found a maybe not so hidden gem. My scallops were delicate and buttery and sweet, and melted in my mouth. RJ said his pork chop was tender and juicy, and the best he ever had. That is saying something. We finished with bread pudding because who doesn't love a good bread pudding, and we like to try it whenever we see one that looks interesting. It was salty and sweet and just so perfect. What One Coastal lacks in space and view, it makes up for with food and service. What a delightful place, and Noelle was a pleasure and a joy. We will definitely return to try all the other things and be lucky to sit anywhere inside or out.

I've been telling my wife for the past year how much she'd love it and it definitely didn't disappoint! My parents arrived in town earlier than we did and stopped here for happy hour without us, but we all made it back later in the week. A must try if you love oysters & clams -- just make sure you arrive a little before they open (4pm) because the bar fills up quickly!). We started with the star of the show, the raw bar of course! Between the 4 of us we had multiple orders of clams and oysters. We love oysters and a good buck-a-shuck is so difficult to find near us in Jersey, so we had to take advantage of this one. The oysters and clams always taste fresh--we've never had a bad one here. The calamari is tender and lightly breaded. The burger is a phenomenal deal served with their house-cut boardwalk fries that are to die for if you're a French fry aficionado! The food, both quality and prices, makes Catch 54 really stand out compared to so many other bars and restaurants of similar stature. My aunt loves crab cakes and said Catch 54's crab cake was phenomenal. Better than many other crab cakes she's had locally. Our drink orders included draft beer, the Sunset Spritz, and the Pineapple Martini (which was delicious and on happy hour!). The bartenders were great! Friendly, personable, attentive, made great drinks, and even remembered us from last year. That's unbelievable considering the number of customers they serve every night. Aside from the incredible, food-forward Happy Hour & daily Buck-a-Shuck (including weekends), another thing that sets Catch 54 apart from many other local restaurants we frequent in the area is the updated, modern decor and upscale, yet still casual, aesthetic that hits you as soon as you walk in. I've yet to experience anything but happy hour, but it feels like a place I'd take my wife for a dinner date. My only disappointment comes from myself -- I was only able to stop n once during our annual vacation but we made the most of it. Next year I'm going to make it a point to stop in more frequently.

I got the crunch salad with the green goddess dressing-- the dressing was delicious! Our friends got the scallops and the beet salad with cheese and fruit. They loved their meals too. For dessert we all shared the brownie with ice cream that was too good to describe. We met Jules the manager and told her the meal was great and Max was the bomb! Can't wait to return!
