There was an issue with our booking but the manager was able to provide an okay substitute. Food was really good and fish was very fresh. The music was really loud which made it very hard to talk. I love the low wrapping bar and beautifully decorated the duck fat garlic fries were heavenly crispy and I liked the lemon aiole dipping sauce. The snow crab roll was to die for with the lovely sauce that brought out the taste. Loved the spicy wontons that melt in your mouth. The Tuna pizza was unique and tasty I will order that again. What in the tacky loud Vegas hell is this place? North Scottsdale OG's will long for the days of Devils martinis north after seeing this Safeway shopping center abomination. Granted, the drinks were OK and I am fearful about coming back for dinner because it was so ungodly loud on a Wednesday night but the clientele in this place should be a case study on apartment over development in the area. Our waitress Farrah K. gave my mother the best birthday dining experience EVER. Farrah K. let us meet the MICHELIN STAR chef and he told us all about how he made the delicious sauce that goes with the tasty tomahawk steak entree! The tuna pizza appetizer sounded questionable, but the fresh raw tuna topped with the crispy capers made it to die for! Would DEFINITELY go again. And again. And again! Let's start with the food - upscale Asian that was truly fantastic. Between the four of us we had Snow Crab sushi, wagu sliders and, tuna pizza for starters followed by steak, lobster fried rice, wagu fried rice, and prawns with noodles in a subtle garlic sauce - ALL of which was delicious! We ended with shared lava cake and butter cake for desserts - so good! But what topped off a truly gourmet meal was the service. We had a 9:45 PM reservation in the private room. After being seated, we were left waiting and had to sit there for quite some time before anyone acknowledged us. Our server, Taylor, eventually came to take our drink order. We let her know we were ready to place our food order as well, but she said she had six checks to close out first and would return afterward. We waited about 45 minutes before our order was even entered and nearly another hour for the food to arrive. When it finally came out, it was completely cold. Throughout the experience, Taylor was dismissive and unfriendly. We spoke to the manager hoping for some resolution, but nothing was done to address the issue or improve the situation. The poor service and lack of accountability completely ruined our birthday celebration. For the amount of money expected to be spent here, the service should be significantly better. Unfortunately, both the staff and management fell short. There are much better dining options in Scottsdale. read more
