Swing by Tuesday night when we heard this place opened up last week. It's conveniently located near the Dublin hacienda crossings movie theatre, so parking is very available as it's not a really bumping area. All of this hopefully changes thanks to Joe's pho. Upon walking in, you can park basically anywhere and walk in from 3 entrances. Getting seated takes no time either since they have so many tables available. We ordered the beef stew and the vermicelli noodles with pork. The food was awesome! The stew reminded me of my godmother's cooking which was such a nostalgic feel to it. While the bun thit was perfect! All the food were very large portions and came out very fast. Overall, a very nice addition to the Dublin food scene. Highly recommend stopping by! read more

My uncle sent me pictures of the food here and I had to come check it out myself .. the restaurant itself is large and cutely decorated for Christmas right now. When we sat down they came over with complimentary shrimp chips! So crispy and not oily at all. We had their bun bo hue, Banh beo, diy banh cuon and banh mi que ... The bun bo hue was delicious! So much meat toppings inside the bowl it was great. The best broth I've had in awhile .. I do wish they had the fatter round rice noodles. The Banh beo was delicious with all the toppings on it and sauce was umami The diy Banh cuon was ok. Not bad but ok.. very pretty presentation but I probably wouldn't order it again. The Banh mi que .. which is thin mini Banh mi with only meat inside was a great snack! So great I came back in the evening to order some Togo before driving 2 hours back home. Meh, it's a pass for me. I had high hopes because of all of the positive reviews here. However, my expectations were not met at all. It's disappointing because there's so much potential but they missed so many chances to be good. Luckily the East Bay has plenty of pho options. Let's start with the pho. Bland broth. It needed a lot of adding in to be halfway decent. Portion was small too which is wild because they charged $20 for a regular sized bowl of soup. The banh mi was the worst I've ever had. The bread was cracky and a bit stale. Perhaps their buy one get one free promo was due to using old bread. Either way the quality was poor and the filling barely covered the bread. The pork was chewy and overall it was dry. It needed more dressing up which I'm not a fan of doing to a banh mi which are usually stacked with ingredients. And especially when my expectation was already lowered after trying the pho. The location itself is great and the size of the restaurant is massive so it can accommodate large groups. While Joe's missed the mark for me, I always say try things for yourself. I hope you have a more positive outcome to your meal. read more

Looking for something that stayed open past 9pm and came across this place. The place is larger than most pho places I've come across. The ambience was nice however many tables were not wiped off. I guess the perks of going late for dinner. The amount of meat provided was ample. My chicken was a bit tough. Service was also slow. We may go back to give it another try. I've been seeing the sign for Joe's pho for a while, and it seemed it had its grand opening recently. The restaurant is bigger than any other pho restaurant I have seen. It took over the old fuddruckers building. This would be a good place for a brunch gathering or group dinner. They have tables and the space to accommodate. They also have a huge screen tv that I think would be a good place for games. It makes me wonder if they were to serve alcohol, this could be a fun place to gather it. The food was good. The vermicelli bowl was the best. It was huge and the pork was marinated and cooked very well. The chicken curry was also good with a side of baguette. The curry was on the sweeter side, and they gave us two baguettes to dip. The three kind hue style appetizer was exciting to have. There's not many hue dishes offered in this area, so I was glad that was on the menu. I would recommend getting that to explore Vietnamese dishes that is outside of the normal routine. The self roll steamed stack was just okay. The toppings given were good but the rice paper itself was a little off. The texture and taste felt like rice paper you get at a kbbq place. Great addition to the Regal movie theater complex! Joe's Pho took over the Fuddruckers space. It's large and clean with plenty of tables. I've eaten at the San Leandro location and it's great to have a location here in Dublin. Their menu is large with something for everyone-pho, bun, egg rolls, spring rolls, rice plates and more traditional offerings. My favorite is the chicken and veggie pho. So glad Joe's Pho is finally opened in Dublin! We've visited both locations in San Leandro and really enjoyed our experiences. This location, which used to be Fuddruckers, is across the Regal Hacienda Crossings Theater with both indoor and outdoor dining. It's very spacious. They did an awesome job remodeling and personalizing the space. Service was wonderful, really attentive staff. Thoughts on food: Many options! Gorgeous presentation and generous portions too. I ordered the Combination Dry Noodles-they were willing to help me sub different noodles for an ingredient sensitivity. The meats are a bit overcooked, but the dish was flavorful overall. Also came with a huge bowl of pork bone soup. My date loved the rice combo plate-everything was very tasty. Lastly, the A13- Three kind "Hue style"-loved that the plate came hot, everything on it was fresh, though the dumplings look smaller than in menu photo. We didn't order spring rolls this time but have at other locations- fresh and delish. We didn't order drinks, but they have a huge selection. Do hope they'll add a few more hot drink options though. Noticed a new pho place and decided to come try it for dinner. This is at the old Fuddrucker's location, across from the theatre. Upon walking in, the space was HUGE, open and inviting. Not your typical pho restaurant decor. Large tables paired with uniquely colored outdoor furniture. We were brought a plate of fried shrimp chips. GOOD shrimp chips that come in chips form and expand when dunked in hot oil. So good we asked for another plate. 5/5 The menu was extensive that I didn't get a chance to look through it all before the server arrived to take our order. I had my heart set on bun ceo (crepe) and shared a bun bo hue with Hubs. Note: There's a variety of bun bo hue; Not just one choice like at normal pho places. DD ordered her go-to grilled chicken rice plate. It didn't really have that smokey grilled charred taste. More like oven broiled. Rice was fresh. Egg was more of an omelet than a fried egg. 3/5 The bun ceo arrived in a cookie sheet pan with the pickled radish and carrots, exactly 3 pieces of red leaf lettuce, and fresh herbs (mint, basil). The crepe itself was gigantic and had high hopes to be amazing. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming. Although my 1st bite had great coconut flavor, a hint of taro, the texture was stale (like it was pre made, then re-fried before serving kinda stale). The filling inside needed more flavor. Kt was interesting too with slivers of daikon and sparse pieces of boiled shrimp with veins still inside. The dipping sauce needed some umph not really adding to the flavor of the crepe when dipped into it. The most disappointing part was the pickled sided. It was sweet or acidic like it needed more time to marinate in the sugar vinegar concoction to actual pickle. Overall 3/5 Had a bowl of the slices filet beef bun bo hue. It wasn't spicy at all though there was chili oil drizzled on top. The broth needed to be much much hotter. Noodles were tender and cooked al dente. Tasty flavors. What k*lled it for me, literally leaving a bad taste in my mouth were the bean sprouts. It tasted like dish soap (IYKYK). 3/5 Ordered matcha with Boba. Matcha wasn't the highest quality and wasn't stirred well, leaving chunks in some sips. Boba was decent 3.5/5 Service was good. Guys seemed a bit frazzled, having to ask multiple people for bowls and knife to huge crepe. Apparently they opened, it almost seemed like this week with initial review being less than 5 days ago. Overall, I'd give this place a 3/5 being newly opened. I'd come back another time for pho and egg rolls and those rice cake cups. Their other drinks and dessert looked good too. read more

Wanted chicken pho so my husband and I came for the first time. Ordered the free range chicken pho but it was definitely not what I expected! It was chicken on bone and very hard to eat - was expecting just the meat sliced or something. The chicken wasn't bad... but it just gets stuck in your teeth and its slippery so it's hard to grip with chopsticks. The broth was savory and delicious. My family and I came to Joe's Pho in Dublin on a Sunday evening and it was our first time at this location. As always with Joe's, the food was delicious. We got a mix of pho, rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and drinks, and everything hit the spot. This review isn't about the food (because that's always solid), but more about the service and communication, which really missed the mark this visit. First off, when we were ordering, we had to go over our order with the server multiple times because every time she repeated it back, there were items on there we didn't even order. We finally got it all sorted, but it was a bit frustrating. Second, we asked for a kids pho. I get that it's not listed on the menu, but instead of just letting us know there's no kids size or that the smallest one is a regular, she didn't say anything and just left it off. When all the food came out and we asked about it, she said, "Oh, there's no such thing, so I didn't add it." Luckily we were able to share since there were a few of us, but a simple heads-up would've saved the confusion. And lastly, we asked for two cups of water and got two empty cups. We ended up having to flag down multiple people just to get water and some bowls for the kids. Overall, the food was as good as always, but the service definitely needs improvement. Not even close - the biggest pho joint I've ever walked into. I'm not sure how they'll sustain this size. We're talking about Dublin - the predominant culture here is Indian, not Vietnamese. Maybe in SJ this might make sense, but I'm not sure here. They might have to subdivide this place. That aside, the food and service here is pleasant. The pho was flavorful, and while I'm not an expert in pho, I can tell what good pho is supposed to taste like. This is good. Tons of ingredients, and the bowl will go down well, especially on a chilly day. We also got a bahn mi, which was amazing. I was really surprised by the size and taste of it. Met up with my friend here for lunch on a Saturday back in August. This place used to be Fudderuckers, now it's one of the biggest Vietnamese restaurants I've been too. Inside is clean and spacious with plenty of seating. Their menu is extensive, I almost couldn't figure what I wanted because there was so many dishes and drinks to choose from. We didn't order any appetizers and just went for the main dishes. I think my friend ordered a grilled chicken or grilled pork banh mi while my mom and I went for a rice plate. We ordered the grilled beef plate and the grilled pork chop, fried chicken & egg roll plate. We didn't have to wait long for our order. Portions of the food here is good. Overall the food tasted good. Service here is friendly and pretty quick. My only complaint would be the music was kind of loud inside. read more

What a great find! I didn't even know this restaurant was here because although it's part of the main plaza across the theater, it's tucked away and wraps behind the back side of the building. To the right of us was a huge Bumblebee (from Transformers) to the right of us. There are also four TVs in the middle of the restaurant. First thing I noticed was how big the restaurant was! The interior design reminds me of Las Vegas. It's a really great ambiance- elevated casual or just casual kind of place. We were seated and given menus. Pretty decent size menu with a lot of drink and dessert drinks! We all knew what we wanted so we ordered. The drinks came out first (milk tea boba and taro milk tea with boba). All our food came out at a decent time, maybe 10-15 minutes, except the pho, which came out 10 minutes after the two vermicelli bowls and one rice plate. I had the grilled chicken plus egg rolls - it was really good! Delicious, fresh, and tasty. Everyone else agreed- their food was also really good! I'm glad I didn't order my own drink because I saved enough room for a complimentary dessert - ice cream cone! This place is really good for large groups or big families. We were looking for a pho place still open at 9 and ended up at Joe's Pho. We ordered Pho Tai large and popcorn chicken. The pho broth was cloudy but still tasty, how ever the there was so little meat that came with the pho. For over $20 for a bowl of pho, they should put more meat in it. The popcorn chicken was chicken thigh meat mixed with some sort of filler and deep fried, not that good. The wait stuff however were very nice. I don't think we will be returning. read more

First time trying Joe's Pho with my fiancé and we were super impressed. First off, the restaurant is huge and there is plenty of seating. We were seated right away and our waitress was nice. Our food came out quickly which we appreciated. We ordered the bun xeo and the short rib BBH. Both dishes were delicious!! The bun xeo was nice and crispy. I did wish it had more shrimp. The short rib in the BBH was so tender and fell off the bone. The broth was also really tasty. Highly recommend both dishes. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. read more

For some reason, I chose bread. It's the same as those used for banh mi. The curry soup reminds me of the traditional beef stew soup because the seasoning but with curry twist. If you are into curry, you might find it interesting. White shrimp chips are complimentary which is also a different offering. The service is friendly and attentive. The dining room is huge with a big screen tv playing NBA playoff replay game (without sound) and in the background music is playing. The menu is extensive with plenty to please everyone. What a great spot! Literally a few steps from the theater's door entrance. My girlfriend and I watched an early movie showing and we were hungry after. We braved it out and sat in their cute patio on this very hot 92 degrees afternoon. The interior looked clean, modern decor and spacious. I like the variety of food on their menu but I was a little overwhelmed, it always helps to ask the servers what their house specialties are. I ordered some dishes for the table to share - three item sampler of banh bot loc, banh beo, banh it ran and one order of banh xeo. The banh xeo was the favorite of the starters. They have minimally decorated the huge space and filled space with tables and chairs. Still new the staff is still getting up to speed with their extensive menu. With some items coming out of the kitchen, some of the items come from the drink bar. We ordered the BBH and rice roll wraps. Joe's Pho takes over from where the original Fuddruckers was . Not much has changed inside on the colors except for the walls in a coastal sea green. Came in on a Sunday afternoon - no one met us for almost 5 minutes - the restaurant itself quietly busy with tables and outdoor style seating. Eventually having been seated - we were given some complimentary pawn style chips - very tasty. We ordered a pho salmon dish plus a meat ball Bánh Mì and a Dubai Chai drink. All were excellent in quality . Despite the kitchen being open to the public at the front and appearing a mess - we'd rate both dishes as a 7/10. Great place to pop in after a movie next door. I caught a noon movie and came here after for a late lunch. I was greeted right away and given water and shrimp chips after I sat. I like how light it was and the nice open concept. There was a very odd cartoon playing on the large tv. I needed a pick me up and ordered the cold black coffee drink. Just the perfect amount of caffeine I needed. I ordered the Vietnamese crepes and enjoyed them very much. I could only eat half and took the rest home. All the servers worked the tables together and were all very nice and super attentive, checking on me like every 15-20 mins. I'll come back try some pho and the heartier dishes.
