Johnny Angels is a family owned 50s diner. The owners & staff are warm, welcoming and social. The decor is authentic 50s and very entertaining to look at while you dine. They also have a few TVs throughout, usually playing some type of sports. The breakfast options are endless and never disappoint, same for the lunch. Best breakfast in town. Everything comes in large portions and it's very affordable. It's an awesome place if you love 50's diners and burgers and shakes. All there desserts are hand made. This was my 2nd visit. We chose this restaurant because all our favorite breakfast places were packed (obviously, it's sunday). The hostess was not friendly or inviting at all, and she made me feel like the biggest inconvenience to her. The food was really slow coming out, and honestly wasn't anything special. I had the breakfast sandwich with hash browns and a side of gravy. My friend had a huge serving of chocolate chip pancakes, which looked amazing, but then she found an unidentifiable object (UO?) in one. I asked for ketchup half way through the meal because the ketchup bottle at the table was empty. Never got a new ketchup. Thankfully I had the gravy (which the waitress forgot to inform me was an additional $1.50 btw). Overall very unimpressed with the service. There are places with just as good food and friendlier atmosphere that I would rather spend my money at. read more

I love the decor. Very friendly staff. Food is fresh. Nothing seemed like over kill here like they don't make waitresses or waiters wear special attire or say things that are 50's. I love the theme of this place! It's all oldies, like Elvis, James Dean, Marilyn and Audrey. The first time I was there was back during the holidays and they wad A Wonderful Life playing on the tvs. There's a ton of oldies inspired trinkets you can purchase as well. As far as the food goes, I have loved it all. Although I have only eaten breakfast items. But I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as delicious. It is diner food, but I think they just seem to do it better than a typical diner. And the items are named after old time favorites....i.e. a breakfast called The Richie Cunningham ;) read more

we went for the first time for their bike nite. Hopefully the cold weather was keeping everyone home. There was a total of 6 bikes. The restaurant was well designed and is clean and interesting. A wonderful family owned restaurant serving delicious food... I love the fun atmosphere and the staff is extremely friendly. We went for breakfast and had the Banana and Strawberry French toast and the Belgian waffle. Both were so delicious! The coffee is good and strong. Prices are very reasonable. This is a really good restaurant to eat at. The food is always served in good portions and the milkshakes are delicious. The waiter was on his job and we never had to ask for nothing. The decor is vintage but the place can use some dusting in the ceiling. Overall, I'll be back again soon. read more

Diners are where it's at. A good place to Go an enjoy with friends, family or even strangers. The food was delicious. I had the "Love Me Tender" chicken platter, which was off the chain! My husband had the "Johnny's Angels Breakfast" with extra cheesy grits which he says gave him a "good baby" cause he couldn't stop eating it. The cream soda and root ever float were excellent too. The atmosphere was so unique. I love all things 50's so this place was on point. We went on a Saturday night when they had karaoke. Which was a little loud but not bothersome. Great little diner with a wide range of menu items. We recently had breakfast. Biscuits and gravy are great! The breakfast potatoes are really lacking. The home fries are frozen potato cubes which are deep fried and the hash browns seemingly can not be cooked crispy. This was our second time for breakfast and the waitress said a lot of people complain about the hash browns being less than cooked. Proper home fries on the flat top would solve the problem imho. I have never eaten here in person. All of my orders have been via delivery and everything has been prepared as ordered and fresh and delicious. I've had breakfast and lunch/dinner items and everything is consistently good. The only thing I've never tried is dessert items but the generous portions don't allow me to have any room to even want dessert. read more

It was a deja vu experience! The ambiance is funky and fun! The menu is terrific for an old fashioned breakfast which is what my 89 year old neighbor had a "hankering for." The giant pancakes and a side of bacon brought a happy smile to her face. It was the first time she had gone out to a restaurant since she had fallen and broken her neck in 2 places! That smile made my day! Of course we sat outside as she and I are both in the covid "at risk" age group. The waitress was very attentive to details like bring us a clean waterproof tablecloth, she filled and refilled coffee frequently and was extra helpful with the menu and stories about Johnny Angel's. I have heard of this place for a long time and was FINALLY able to eat there. The place does have that nostalgic 50's diner motif. Lots of pictures of famous actors/actresses/singers. There's even a jukebox playing music from that era. The food was very good. Almost each dish has a name after a celebrity. I had the Chuck Berry which was basically fish and chips. The "chips" were thin and crispy. The fish was crisp, golden, and delicious. The tartar sauce gave it that nice tangy taste. Poor service and over priced. Last time I ate here my friend had a complaint regarding their order and the owner proceeded to take the plate to the kitchen to resolve. By the way, taking the plate was not necessary as they were missing a slice of raw onion. The owner was gone for a long time with the plate and upon return their chili was full of floating grease. The waitress did not come back to our table and was acting weird. My friend and I ate our food but became ill that night. Will not eat here again. read more

The overall cleanliness was bad in both the eating area and especially the bathroom. It must be how they run the kitchen as well.
