The atmosphere is solid, but they get two stars for the service. Our server was training tonight and had a sidekick to help. She brought our drinks and life was fine, she asked about appetizers and recommended something spicy when we had a kid. I asked about the pretzel and a light came on for her, "oh yeah, get that... I'll be back..." can I get some water?? Sure... when she's good and ready. I watched her check on two more tables and off she went. We didn't see her again until after the food and we made her stop. She asks, "is everything okay??" Yeah, I'm eating honey habanero wings, gonna need some MORE WATER!! She must have taken the hint from the empty cup of ice on the corner of the table... she came back like 5-10 minutes with an ice water pitcher and dumped most of the ice and a tad bit of water in my cup. She must have been teaching the new server... this is how not to take care of people. I wanted to stop her and ask her if we offended her somehow because the service was that bad... heck we had to beg for a ticket just to leave... she took the money and was back quickly to pick up her tip... If she moved that efficiently to start with, she probably would have got 20%. The food was okay. The pretzel is really good, the fries are soggy and room temperature. Just went to watch the Big Twelve Championship game so I can't speak much for anything aside from service. I was with a friend who ordered a few beers over the course of the night, and his glass never went empty so people were prompt. The waitresses were polite and honestly, all the food they were toting smelled great. In general, prices are decent and the place wasn't overly packed so I was a nice way to watch the game. My experience was that of a typical bar. Bartenders were rushed and wanted to take my order and get it out. I understand that, it's a busy bar on a Friday night. We were got our food, burgers were a little dry, is what it is. Meal was winding down and my wife had leftover onion rings that I was working on. We paid the bill and I was still working away on the onion rings. Out of no where one of the bartenders grabbed the leftover food I was eating and took it away. Should have at least asked before they threw my food away, hence the 2 star review. read more

We have been to Johnnys several times and always enjoy it. Lots of TVs to watch sports, good beer on draft and solid bar food. Their wings are a favorite of mine. The last time we were there we had a large group. It was a busy Friday night but they were still very accommodating to the people from our group who showed up late and we had great service. Owner gets Tiger vs Phil match on pay per view. Multiple people come to restaurant to see and hear it. 6 holes into the match owner calls manager and tells her to put on music -most likely someone in the bar/restaurant called and told them golf was on and they wanted to hear music. I guess you can't please everyone but don't get the event in the first place if your not gonna cater to it. Manager just throws up her hands and says the owner said so. Always been happy with all the Johnny's. Big disappointment today and poor judgment by owner IMO. read more

My boyfriend and I (who are both servers by the way) came in for date night a couple weeks ago and sat on the patio. Our server was not attentive at all. Apparently she had some friends sitting at the table behind us and was more concerned with planning a trip to Chicago. My pizza came out wrong. Twice. And the second time it was apparent they picked off the wrong topping (which is hilarious because they actually picked off the right topping) and brought it back out. Our server blamed the kitchen...both times. She can blame them all she wants but she brought the pizza out the second time and should have triple checked it was right. Our check was only $21 and I only left her $4. She could have made $10 on $21 had she paid just a little bit more attention. I'm a very generous tipper when the service is deserving. Also- I never actually ate since it seemed impossible to get the toppings on a piece of pizza correct. Leaving dinner without eating is not something I enjoy doing. read more

I ordered the pizza and I'll start off by saying the pizza was great. Loved it and would order again but this was maybe the worst service I've ever had in my life. I spent most of the night while there watching my server sitting at a table with her friends chatting while I wanted to order a beer, then when I wanted to order food, again when I wanted another beer ..you get the point. Food was great, servers were great, tvs were great! I had street tacos and would recommend. The ranch sauce with the salsa on top was awesome. My friend ordered us miller lite bottles when we first got there but I would recommend choosing from the drink specials. Ask for it if it is not already at your table. Sat at the bar and servers were very friendly even to the super drunk people.... which is the only reason I gave them a 4/5 the drunk middle-aged guys who could barely stand made it hard to fully enjoy. Spent the day at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. Then decided to come here for Pizza. First thing was walking into the front door noticed a lady talking on her cell phone. OK, no problem there. But then waited at the host stand at the front door for a few minutes and same lady walks in excuses herself from walking in our party. Then says how many. The host was in the doorway talking on her cell phone. So then we get the food (pizza). Really not impressed, but its pizza, anybody can make a pizza right. Any who. Asked the waitress for some extra plates for the kiddos for their pizza. Never came. Never once did she ask for refills on drinks. My glass of tea was completely empty, still nothing. Seems like a party place rather than a eating establishment. The bar was very noisy. Do not think that I will ever go here again. read more

Great sports bar with lots of drink options and what looked like to be a nice outdoor seating area. I didn't eat here, but the pizza I saw and smelled looked really good. Next time I will order a pizza and see if it's as good as it looked. read more

Love Johnny's and 99 percent of the staff, but one of the bartenders (Sasha) has become a real pain. Her attitude to customers is worthless, I think the only words she knows are "I only have two F***ing hands". Friday night if I heard that once I heard it 20 times while waiting for a drink, not only directed to me me but others as well. Need her to have an attitude adjustment and treat customers the way Gracie and other bartenders do. read more

AWFUL AWFUL service!!! you sit around for long periods of time, while the clueless young waitresses stand around and gossip!!! I have tried this place a few times and AlWAYS get bad service. take forever to greet me, to take my order, my drink stays empty, etc. i would understand if it was busy, but when i have been it is not!! the waitresses just sit by the door and gossip! they all look at me from time to time, but none of them bother to get up. i do not recommend this johnnys!! the johnnys in olathe and mission however are terrific!!! read more

Went there today, and to our surprise it was not busy as it usually is. I was seated right away by the hostess, so I was quite pleased. But then we waited for somebody to come and take our drink order, nobody even glanced in our direction. After waiting for over 15 minutes without an acknowledgement from anyone , I decided they did not need our business and we walked out. Food has not been as good since they moved from their previous location down the street. So it was not a loss food wise, and this location has lost my business. read more

Had the Cobb Salad and my husband had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Both were so-so. The sandwich was a bit bland lacking the Buffalo sauce and the salad just had too much going on...Black beans, corn on top of the traditional ingredients that come with a Cobb. Service took a while but the server was pleasant. The pizzas did look good so I'm assuming this is the kind of joint you go to for pizza and beer. P.S. DON'T order the Hummus plate. Not a huge fan of the new Johnnys location. Hard to get seating most nights- I realize on a Friday/Saturday night they get busy. But the hostesses are never sure when a table will open, no estimate on time what so ever. The top patio is for guests 21+, which is fine.. But I was told the first time we sat there no food could be served up there. (Which didn't really make sense). I would think with the brand new building in such a good location they would've made more room to sit, and it wouldn't be SUCH an issue to get seating. We do even think of going anymore, even around 9 on a weekend, because it's such a pain to get a seat. The service is.. Slow. Every time we have visited, it's been decent at best. I have given the place many, many shots.. And each time is pretty disappointing. I really really like the pizza, and the drinks are made really well. I get they haven't been opened long, and I hope they work all these kinks out. Because the location has so much potential. read more

Tried the new location on SM Pkwy the other night. We had decided to try this Johnnys again - had previously not been happy but I am happy to report that we were immediately greeted by someone and seated. Our waitress was there right away and everything went well. The food was good, the service was good and we thought their new building was very nice! Way to go Johnnys - keep it up! read more

I was just in this restaurant. Waited 15 minutes for a waitress. Two other patrons in our section were waited on. I went and told the hostess. Waited another 5 minutes. Still no waitress! This is the second time this has happened. Will not be going back!!! read more
