Their awning is out of date. Prices as of Feb 2017 are: $1.50 cheese slice $3 draft beer $5 bottled beer Still a damn good deal, but when we went, they ran out of pizza, and we didn't feel like waiting, so we just took advantage of the Bud Light drafts (bleh).

    Yummo!

I've walked by this place a few times while on my way to the West 4th train station and I've always been curious since their mission statement is made super clear by loud, redundant signage exclaiming, "$1 PIZZA!!!", $2 BEERS!!!". This is a tough deal to beat considering that one can walk in here and pretty much purchase a full meal with only $3. This past Saturday afternoon Ingrid S. and I were walking by with not completely empty bellies...but in search of something small...like a slice of pizza small...having remembered this place exists just as we turned on to this block we both agreed that a $3 brunch/lunch was in order, lol. It ended up being a $4 meal since we both went for Sam Addams Summer Ale since the $2 option was only Coors Light (aka water). The pizza was pretty decent. Fantastic cheese to sauce ratio although the sauce was pretty bland, I thought the cheese made up for it big time as it tasted fresh and was clearly a very recently made pie. After ordering it and making our selves at home at one of their modestly sized tables, the 1 one guy on duty brought us out slices and then made a second trip to make sure we got napkins. I thought that was nice of him as we weren't the only people there and he didn't have any coverage up front. Good customer service on his part, cheap decent pizza and cheap I've cold beer in cans (upon my first sip I exclaimed that my Sam Summer tasted way better than it sometimes does on draft, GO CANS!!!) made for a solid 4 star experience.

I guess since we created it I should break the ice with a review. I've walked past this spot before so I'm shocked there was no check-in available. Mostly the $2 beer sign always was an allurement. Though, I have to warn you, it is only for Coors . . . and it comes in a plastic cup. . . . . I love how they state on their door "We sell craft beer!" Okay. . . they DID have Sam Adams summer ale and it came out of a can, which I've never had before. Those cans of beer are $3. Still cheap, you are getting a $ worth of food. The pizza? It has a pretty durable crisp thin bread layer, decent cheese, not a lot of sauce. It's about on par with 2 Bros (maybe not quite as good as them) and hey you can have your cheap gross beer here while you eat your dollar slice, so why the hell not. $1 Pizza/$2 Beer you are a-okay!

I measure by three different things in comparison to Taco Bell: DECOR: A full day in New York City calls for a must needed therapy of a few authentic slices of pizza. Roaming around the neighborhood of Greenwich Village, Slice & Co caught my eye with its illuminated red beaming lights from a street corner away. My stomach lead the course to the small pizza joint filled with delicious smells that filled the air inside. It's a small establishment, but was enough for a seating of one and that was enough for me. It's not an exquisite interior, but it's more cozy than Taco Bell and for that a star for decor! SERVICE: The service at Slice & Co was average. Walking in on a Saturday night around 7:30pm is pretty much primetime for any restaurant in the city and this place wasn't crowded at all. I walked in and immediately ordered since there was no line. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were attentive. A star for service. FOOD: I ordered two slices: Pepperoni & Sausage and Chicken Bacon Ranch. The pizza was made piping hot from the oven so it was very fresh. As far as taste goes the Pepperoni & Sausage was pretty good, though the sauce didn't win me over. The Chicken Bacon Ranch was better, but still it didn't blow my mind. I also felt that the prices were too expensive for what I ordered. Sure the slices were big, but paying around $6 for two slices is no good. Especially in a place where that is made up of competitive pizza markets. For all the pizza (and Taco Bells) I've had in my life Slice & Co isn't a real winner. Regardless, pizza, good or bad, is always good so I'm throwing a star on here for food! FINAL VERDICT: Is Taco Bell better?Yes. Despite the stereotype being in New York you have to eat ALLLLL the pizza I recommend skipping this place. I guarantee that at least a few blocks away you'll find another pizza establishment (or Taco Bell) that is better for your taste buds and your wallet!

I love $1 pizza $2 beer. It's a perfect place to hit before going to your favorite bar or bar hoping. The name is a bit misleading as only one of the beer options is $2 but at least the others are all under $5 which is more than a bargain in ny. PS. Have somewhere to sit in Mind because they only seat 10 and that's being generous. They're usually ok with you taking your beer if they're full.

Decent slice for a buck! Can't really complain about it. It taste well, like a pizza, nothing special. Great for that late night after drinking type of food. It's worth stopping by if you happen to be nearby, hungry, & just want to have something quick.

Decor: 3/5 -seating for about 10 -slightly dirty Service: 3/5 -only one worker so it may be slow Pizza: 2.5/5 -Extremely thin crust with salty tomato sauce. Greasyness level 3/5

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

We started with two fabulous drinks: An Espresso Martini and their signature Limoncello Margarita. We shared the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad and it was fabulous. The bits of bacon, combined with the spiciness of the pepper spices, made this a perfect starter. The entree was also shared and it was the Spicoli 2.0 Pizza. I cannot recommend this pie, enough. You will taste flavors that you've probably never experienced before with a pizza. Also, the different textures of the arugula, creaminess of the cheese, and the perfect crust will make it a memorable selection. For dessert, we shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
