Called the store at 8:50 (was already on my way just wanted to make sure they were open) a girl answers the phone & i ask if they are still open, she said yes but that they close in 10 minutes. I said, "okay, so 9 pm right?" she says "yes". My dad and i got there at 8:55 & the door was shut. He started waving & the workers inside said "sorry closed". If you wanted to be off early you could have said, "sorry we're closing up early, we'll be closed before 9". I really feel like they closed up on purpose so that we wouldn't be able to go in :/ also if u check online it says they close at 9:30.. not 9. make sure y'all fix your time online as well, some people don't call ahead of time. read more

Not going to lie, it was pretty darn good! For $35 (coupons used), we got three whole chickens, large rice, medium beans and medium potato salad. I don't eat beans but wife said they were good. Chicken was great, rice was amazing and the potato salad was okay. Too mushy for me but that is personal preference. Will be back again and again! read more

Very good tasting chicken. The only con is the smell of sewer. When eating at the restaurant that smell coming from the restroom does not die down & it's not the nicest thing to smell while trying to eat. It's also a bit stuffy In there. I was so looking forward to Juan pollo in La Mirada I bought the family pak . So disappointed the potatoe salad was rancid and chicken was cremated. Not a good meal! Awesome chicken!!!!! Moist and very flavorful!!!! This chicken is much better than 'crazy' chicken and the other large chains. The service is friendly and efficient. The place can be busy during the lunch and dinner... But never too bad or too busy to keep others away. In the end, you don't go to a bar or restaurant that's vacant and without patrons.... This is one of my favorite Chicken Places !! Customer Service is amazing and the staff is quick . I have placed serve orders from small to big and they are on it . The quality and taste of it is just great. The prices are very reasonable. The potato salad is a MUST HAVE! however the beans and rice are always very delicious. I came here around 10:30 am. This place is absolutely perfect if you're on a tight budget and need cheap food with large portions but want to avoid traditional fast food joints. There are very few restaurants nowadays that are as cheap as here and deliver good quality food. I got a dinner meal which made for two meals and felt full both times. I have a fairly large appetite so if you're a woman too, it should probably be enough for you. Not so sure how filling that would be for a male. The man taking my order was happy to give me an extra salsa when I asked and I loved that my food came out right away. Inside is air-conditioned and clean. There is no salsa bar, which I think is better because salsa bars can get quite messy, but I think customers would appreciate lemons or limes being included with their food. I know this is a chain, though, so that is up to management. Luckily, I had lemons at home and they really enhanced the taste. The chicken itself didn't blow my mind. However, it's what I had expected and definitely beats El Pollo Loco in terms of look, texture, taste, and quality. The beans are super flavorful and the potato salad is light and perfect. Salsa was tasty as well. Of course, I also got the other stuff: rice, tortillas, a drink. Their drinks are very sugary and I wasn't crazy about the one I got (hibiscus flower), but for it being included in a meal that is $7.99 + tax, it's an incredible deal. In case you're wondering, the "small" sides are bigger than they seem! A classic case of looks being deceiving, haha. Only thing I didn't like was the smell of the restaurant. I believe it's from the smell of the chicken but I couldn't stand it so ate at home. Plenty of parking spaces. Overall, had a positive experience and would come back again ^_^. read more

Good friend been telling me for a while to go to Juan's so today was the day. I walked in like I crossed the border hearing the TV in Spanish, bright yellow walls and Mexican pictures. I ordered the 2 piece white with potato salad, rice and beans. The service was good and helpful. I found the chicken to have a good citrus flavor and very moist. The flour tortillas were soft and fresh too. The rice had chicken and green onions, not bad. The beans were good and typically I'm not a huge fan. The potato salad is a must try. Order the hot salsa, good flavor lots chunks of veggies and peppers await! Who needs El Pollo when Juan is near by. Only down side, no drive thru. .If you have a taste for chicken styled south of the border, Juan's has the best to offer. read more

Came in and Ordered the jumbo pack "$45" special that is posted on the window. The sign states if you pay with cash $45 is the total taxes included, so I paid with cash. When I received my change and receipt I saw that I was charged $53.16. I asked why was I charged that if the special reads $45. The lady responded with you shoulda told me you wanted the grab and go special. I charged you the regular price. Next time tell me you want the special and I'll charge you the $45 price. This is hands down the best rotisserie chicken around. I would come just for that! I don't know what their seasoning mix or marinade uses, but it's spot on. The lunch special give you a little bit of everything: Chicken, rice, potato salad, tortillas, salsa, and a drink for about $7 before tax. Literally, it sounds odd, but make a taco using the potato salad as a base and get ready for deliciousness. The service is fast, and about as friendly as you would expect it to be from a fast food place; I'm not sure this could actually be considered fast food, but it's food, and it's fast, so whatever. You can order hot or mild salsa, as well as corn or flour tortillas, and part of the drink variety is horchata, and various other Mexican delectables. They absolutely refused to honor their own special and gave no reason why. Even with the sticker showing it, placed on the plexiglass in front the cashier. Phoned in an order today, was on hold for 9 minutes (I understand they're busy) she comes on the phone, takes my order (jumbo family pack) she takes my name and tells me it's going to be 45 minutes. I thank her and hang up. I show up to pick up my order, long line. I say I'm here for pick up, I give her my name, she walks towards the cook and i hear the woman say"she needed to pay first" girl comes back to me and tells me it's going to be another hour. I asked why if I phoned in my order an hour ago. She said I needed to pay I said well why didn't you say that over the phone while taking my order? She says"we don't do payments over the phone" HELLO... IS ANYBODY HOME?!?!? THEN WHY TAKE A PHONE ORDER?? Don't waste people's time and be up front about your service. This is so upsetting. I tried takeout from here today. My first time trying the restaurant food and OMG so good! The beans were very flavorful and the sauces are spicy. I loved how the chicken cane with two giant grilled chiles and grilled onions on the side. The potato salad had enough flavor as well! Really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt despite all the negative reviews. Obviously with Covid you try to spend as little amount of time inside waiting for orders as you can. We tried calling to place our order on the phone to make the pick up process quicker and were told that they don't take phone orders unless you order more then 5 chickens. This place used to give you juicy chicken but now all you get is dried up chicken. They got best rice, salsa, and potatoe salad. I also like their tortilla, and jalapeno with carrots. The reason they get 1 star is because we go there for chicken not the sides. Fire the cook and hire new cook because chicken shouldn't be that dry. Horrible customer service. After calling in order and advising them I was on my way i still had to wait close to 30 min to get my food. Very unorganized and the employees were arguing with each other in front of clients. Once I received my food the employee was annoyed with me for being annoyed with them. This location is decent, with a parking lot shared with other businesses, but usually not a problem finding parking, the chicken is usually pretty good, potato salad is average, to below average, I would say the reason is a lack of seasoning, simply adding salt & pepper usually does the trick to make it better for me. One major complaint is on hot days they close the doors, and use fans, which obviously only push the hot air around, also on three occasions I went around lunch time, they told me they ran out of chicken.
