Yesterday, a casual downtown outing led us to June's for the first time. We were looking for a special lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday week, and we found exactly that. Natalie received us warmly at the front door and provided great care throughout our meal. When we hesitated over the menu, she guided us with a few suggestions. If you visit, you must order the burger; the taste, aroma, and sesame seed bun immediately pushed it into my top five. My wife's roasted duck and salad were equally spectacular. What we thought would be a half-hour lunch became a true affair of the heart. Between the delicious food, the friendly guests, and Natalie's wonderful hospitality, I haven't seen my wife this happy in months. Thank you for a beautiful memory--we cannot wait to return.
Came here on a whim, first time being here. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to get us in. I would say make a reservation first to be on the safe side. The place is clean and the staff was great. Love the vibes at thos restaurant. I got the breakfast chalupa and my partner got the breakfast café. Both were delicious meals. I would definitely go back again. They have two restrooms which were unisex. They do have a bar ad well. Recommend this place.
Let's just say I'm so glad I finally tried this place. The menu has a wonderful variety of options that include seafood, meats, poultry and vegetarian options. I bc especially enjoyed the herb roasted chicken. It was so juicy and the fries complemented it nicely. The escargot was a bit unimpressive. It lacked flavor although the presentation was nice. It was lacking in savory. Although they have a great selection of alcoholic beverages we opted out. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. The service and atmosphere were very nice too. Even though it was busy we never felt rushed or ignored. Highly recommended!
This was a tough one to rate because they have great reviews and the ambiance is really cute and fun. Our server was also very friendly and wanted to make our experience great. Unfortunately, the kitchen just wasn't on their game this day. We went for brunch and it is a lovely restaurant with some amazing looking pastries. My ratings of the food we got are below. Overall, everything was just okay and not something I would order again. Our order: Salami and cheese - 1/10, not even edible with how much olive oil they dumped on it. Hard cheese and meat. None of us touched it. Frites - 9/10, hard to go wrong here. Nice and crispy French cruller - 7/10, I think this is just personal presence here I wished it was warmed up. Flavor was good but it was a little dry. Burger - 5/10, the flavor is there and definitely has potential but it was so bloody and rare which is not what we asked for. My friend has a gluten allergy and she asked for the burger lettuce wrapped and it just came on top of a huge chunk of iceberg so wouldn't recommend that if you want it lettuce wrapped. Chicken sandwich - 8/10, this was good with a nice crispy chicken. It could have used something sweet to balance the spice though it was a little one dimensional.
I stopped by for lunch with a colleague who recommended this spot, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, the service attentive, and the ambiance both charming and cozy. I ordered the Bucatini Carbonara for my main dish and made sure to save room for dessert--the Chocolate Hazelnut Tart. Everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, a great experience and well worth a visit, whether you're new in town or just passing through.
Took a Waymo and was late for my reservation but they still honored it, so thank you Junes. We went for brunch and sat at a little corner table that gave bistro vibes. We were a little indecisive and pondered excessively over what food and drinks to order. After seeing a few passersby plates we decided on the olive oil martini, pistachio cherry cruller, appetizing board, bone marrow bolognese and the cheeseburger. Oh and we ended with a bottle of the June's sparkling rose'. The olive oil martini was better than expected but we didn't finish it. The cruller was yum but definitely could use a pinch of salt or tartier cherries to balance the sweet. But the pastry overall was a nice treat with a good texture. The board was the tables fave. It's basically a deconstructed bagel and lox. The tobiko cream cheese was yum and the salmon was fresh. The bolognese was spicy but overall good. The noodles were perfectly cooked and had the right amount of sauce. I'd say a pinch of salt would make it perfect. The burger was underwhelming. It had a burnt taste so we didn't finish it but the fries were yum. They were seasoned to perfection in parsley and tarragon I believe. It was a little crowded and service was a little slow, maybe a lot slow but overall it was a solid brunch. I'd like to experience the dinner menu so I'll probably do a revisit
Cozy spot with a relaxed vibe, and a very friendly server. We tried the escargot and it completely blew me away. Easily the best dish I've had in the last month. If you enjoy escargot, this is a must-try here. My pasta was light and very enjoyable. On the downside, my husband ordered the crispy chicken burger and for $23 we expected something more special. Still, overall a good experience, and I'd go back just for the escargot.
June's is a super cute spot on South Congress to grab a bite to eat. I came to Austin for a bachelorette and we were searching for a spot for our first brunch of the trip! We were recommended June's and it was such a cute spot. We didn't have reservations and had a sizeable group but were still able to be seated outside. There isn't a ton of seating outside but it was cozy enough. Our servers were super attentive and helpful when we had questions about the menu or wanted recommendations. I got the croque madame and it was a biiiig portion. Well worth it, especially being $25. The bride-to-be got the wagyu steak tartare and fries and she loved it! The menu for food was super simplistic but the separate drink menu was beautiful and looked like a piece of art. Our table ended up getting a bottle for some mimosas. Overall, this spot was really great to grab a bite and was the best start to our bachelorette weekend! We loved also being on South Congress to walk along it afterwords. Good food, great location!
Food and coffee was delicious! We celebrated a bachelorette and the staff was very accommodating to our last minute changes as well as food allergies. They even had a handmade card all wait staff signed for our bride. The restaurant ambiance imitates a European cafe. Such a fun place for small group or bigger group! The breakfast pastries are so fresh and absolutely delectable! Will absolutely be coming back!
Passing along on Congress, loads of things to do and eat along this street. We were looking for Sushi, but we were too early. June's had that nice French vibe going on so we stopped in. Not disappointed at all. Very comfortable, welcoming, and great service. I got the burger and fries. Quick and easy.
Met my mom and her fiancé here for brunch on a Sunday right when they opened and it was immediately on a wait. And for good reason! The inside was all reservations only so we had to sit outside but I appreciate that they had portable shade that they moved as the sun was rising. I appreciated this attention to detail and experience. The food was fantastic without the menu being gigantic. You can tell they focus on doing specific types of food really well. I wish I would have taken a picture of my dish but it was gone when it got to the table. I believe it was a croque madame or monsieur. I'd happily come back on my next trip to Austin for drinks with the gals or breakfast again!
Oh how I love June's June's is often described as a little bit of Paris in Austin. Having not been to Paris I can't say how spot on that is, but the atmosphere of this bistro definitely made me feel like I was in a French Film. The service was spectacular and our food came out fast. The staff were so very polite. The food tasted Fresh and the flavors of everything really made me feel like I was having a farm to table dining experience. The artichoke was the star of the show. It was so very simple and the aioli it was serviced with was rich and delicious. June's makes a great place for a lunch date or just quick stop for some fresh eats! Highly recommend by me!
This is an awesome little French concept. Our friend from Austin recommended it to us for a brunch outing. Cool ambiance, kind/friendly staff, delicious food. Highly recommend!

Service was not great! As we entered the cafe, we were greeted by a customer service representative who said they are fully booked when all tables are still empty. And that they only available is at the bar counter or outside tables. So we sat at the bar counters. Up till we finished and leaving there were still tables that were empty. The waiters and waitress really don't smile a lot. In my opinion, this place is overrated! read more

Highly recommend! Came here for brunch and highly recommend the fried eggplant-- amazing dill yogurt type sauce that was addicting. The bone marrow bolognese had a slight delicious kick to it and the fried steak w eggs was cooked to perfection. Service was fast and friendly. read more

June's offers an upscale dining experience and nice selection of wine pairings. This is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm taking someone out to celebrate. The decor is a great mix of cool retro and Parisian vibes! For a fun GNO I still tend to prefer the outdoor bistro tables on the side because it is less crowded and you can see all the dogs out on a neighborhood walk. Service is consistently good but come here often enough and you will find the standouts that help elevate your experience. I promise a visit to June's will be a wonderful time. But please let me know if you discover an "off peak" time where the music is more soft and enjoyable conversational than jet engine level. read more

June's has been on my list to try forever. It has the cutest curb appeal and I've heard great things! I attended with a larger group (6 of us) and we're seated on the patio outside. I think the main appeal to this restaurant is the vibes and interior. With sitting outside, I didn't get quite the same experience. The food was also a little pricy for my taste for the quality. For example, my friend got two pancakes for $17. I ordered the chalupa which was tasty but also overpriced - but I understand for the location and interior! I'll opt to sit indoors next time! But friendly service, happy vibes, and very clean. Excited to come back! read more
Junes is an all day breakfast but elevated diner type place. Great varied menu and indoor , outdoor and bar seating. We didn't have reservations so we opted for bar seating as to not have to wait. Service is good and they move smoothly from server to server. I started with a glass of Brut Rosè, my friends had the coffee and Bloody Mary. All excellent choices. The pastries ! Wow sitting right by them at the bar I was tempted to order one of each.... We went with the chocolate orange babka muffin, cinnamon bead and French crueller . I had a little of everyone and couldn't decide which I liked better as they were all excellent and fresh. The cinnamon bread served warm with cinnamon butter was quite indulgent I'd have to say. I ordered the ham and Gruyère scone and fries and that scone ! Actually had pieces of ham and the cheese was nice and subtle in the background. Loved it. Plus it also kept with the crumbly way scones should be. The fries were like I want them always ! Crunchy !! Perfect ! My friends had the tuna crudo which was not as good as I hoped but still ok. Not many flavors going on . The sourdough bread we ordered with it was really good though. Great thick slices. The cafe breakfast plate was also nice and varied. Gruyère cheese, ham , 2 eggs, English muffin and dates, unusual addition. But not bad ! The orange marmalade was pretty awesome on that plate. Pretty great food and variety we had on our plates. I loved the vibe and atmosphere here. Definitely recommend this to anyone going to Austin! read more

We absolutely enjoyed our brunch at June's! We were lucky enough to have been able to get a table outside because the inside tables were all reserved. We were immediately seated when we got there and we were attended to right away. We started our meal with the croquets that sat on aioli sauce. They were delicious! Our main entrees consisted of the appetizing board which had a bagel with caramelized onions, smoked salmon, wasabi cream cheese, watercress and capers. The other was the Croque Madam which was an omelette filled with ham, Gruyère and a side of mixed greens with lemon vinaigrette dressing. We pretty much polished our meal. This is a place I'd highly recommend based on our experience. read more

I love June's! It's such a great spot. The food is delicious and the service has been great both times I have gone. The restaurant is very cute with a bar, table seating, and a patio. Sitting out on the patio is perfect for people watching if that's your thing! During my first visit, I ordered the breakfast chalupa and the favorite juice. Both were delicious. The juice was small though. On my second visit, I ordered the cafe breakfast, fries, and a mimosa which I enjoyed thoroughly. Love this place! read more
Very nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available. It was raining so we got a table inside. We had made reservations early this week. Strongly recommend reservations, it was very busy the whole time we were there. Service was friendly and on point. Food was delicious. I had the lamb skewers with cuscuz and pouched eggs. Ingredients were fresh and everything was very tasty. Every one was happy with their orders. read more

Aesthetics are 5/5. Food & wine is 5/5. Service is 3/5. June's is on South Congress which is an ideal location but means you have to book a table in advance. I did so on Open Table and went for brunch on my birthday. My family was in town and I had always wanted to try this restaurant after seeing how Euro chic it was every time I passed the exterior. The interior is stunning as well but more mid century modern. One of the coolest things about June's is their very own Boy Smells candle scent that they have burning in the bathroom. For lunch we got a bottle of Sancerre wine which is my favorite but rather hard to find so props to June's Wine Bar for having it. I ordered the croque madame which was incredible. Fresh, tasty ingredients and a delicious orange jam adding some sweetness to the sandwich. Really close to 5 stars however the service left much to be desired for me. Even though we said it was my birthday the waitress pretty much ignored me and only focused on my mom since she was the one paying the bill. I will say my mom got excellent service I just wish it wasn't so one sided. Still, I would return but not for a special occasion. read more
Really great place although a bit expensive and small. There was a touristy crowd here so there was a wait. We put our name on a list and went shopping until texted that our table was ready. The restaurant is cottage like and very small so don't order too much food or it won't fit on the table. The soup was okay. A bit bland even though it was a unique rendition of Matzo ball soup. The bread and oil was nice. I wish there was more. I probably would try elsewhere on South Congress next time I visit. read more

Friday evening, we were able to snag a last minute 7:45p reservation for two! Inside was very dark (a little too dark and hard to read the menu) and loud. I ended up screaming next to my partner, the vibes were funky and chill, but a little too loud for my liking. I love the service! All the waiters are super knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list is very good! We kicked off our meal with the whipped ricotta. That's was fantastic with bread or by itself. For my main, I tried the bone marrow bolognese. It was hearty, filling, and the chili peppers gave it a good kick. My partner ordered the couscous and it was just alright. Too pricy in my opinion. Definitely want to come back and try their brunch! read more

Such a cute spot for brunch on south congress! We sat at the bar and started with some aperol spritzes on this hot day. I got the omelet with a side of bacon. The omelet was tasty, and I loved the salad that came with it. The bacon was light and crispy. I also got a glass of rosé which was refreshing with the meal. Would definitely recommend! read more
June's is such a fun spot for food & drinks. ! It's small, but quaint, quirky & adorable. On our first visit, we sat on the patio & had drinks which were both great. I got the espresso martini & my friend got the vodka cocktail. We came back for Sunday brunch. I had the farm egg omelet & it was AMAZING! Everyone in our tried different dishes, and hardly anyone had food left on their plate. I can't wait to go back next time I visit Austin! read more

June's is an intimate and upscale restaurant in the heart of south congress. My friend and I came here to get drinks and an appetizer before exploring south congress. We surprisingly ended up staying for a few hours because we loved the atmosphere. It's a great place to catch up and have quality conversation, even from the bar. The bar tender was not as attentive as I would have liked, there were many moments where I had to wait a while to get her attention. But then again she might have just wanted to give us privacy. The espresso martini had a great balance of liquor and espresso. The rum cocktail was my favorite and even came with a shooter in the glass which was a cool touch. The rum cocktail was larger than expected, it took a long time to finish which is a plus. It was a citrusy refreshing drink that was delightful and strong. My friend ordered the gin cocktail and she really enjoyed it. It was sweet but had a tangy taste towards the end, next time I'd likely order this drink. To end off the night, we got the salami and idiazabal cheese snack dish. It came with room temperature bread slices, salty green olives, peppery olive oil with salami and cheese squares. This was a smaller dish than expected, but it still hit the spot. I have never heard of idiazabal cheese before but I will now be seeking it, it was so rich and satiating! June's might be better suited for an upscale dinner or lunch, for a snack and two drinks, it's quite expensive. But overall, it was a great place to start off the night. read more
June's was phenomenal! Started with Arnold Palmer drinks on a hot ATX day, so refreshing. My sister has allergies to various foods and they made her a menu that was FODMAP safe and really made her day! It was her birthday dinner so the chefs/waiter being aware of this was a big deal for us. Let's talk about the burger. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time, which it needed to be because it wasn't inexpensive. Loved our meal, thank you for taking care of my sisters food allergies. read more

We had reservations at Neighborhood Sushi nearby and were on a waitlist so we stopped in here for a quick drink before. The bartenders were nice and the ambiance was chill; perfect for a date night. I was excited to see some Greek wine and got a glass of assyrtiko. We just barely glanced at the food menu; it was eclectic, I'm interested in coming back to try a couple dishes that piqued my interest! read more
Ok so this is close to a 5 star review. Lots to love about the place. Went today for lunch. The menu is small imo but they had a burger and that was ok with me. When we got there we were told an hour wait. It turned out to be less than 30 minutes. Not bad in. Busy part of town. The server was very nice and did a great job. The service was fairly quick but not rushed at all. No one in my family had anything negative about the food quality. So why not a 5 star review? The music was so loud we had a hard time communicating at our table. Not sure why so loud but maybe so it could be heard outside where it seemed normal. It was a great place and worth the wait. This is a great dinner place if you are looking for a large wine list, small plates, and pricey entrees. Our table got the fried chicken sandwich, salmon Niçoise salad, the bone marrow bolognese, and the artichoke for an appetizer. All of it was good and they flip the heart of artichoke into a tiny egg salad. We sat on the side of the building which I was happy about because the main road and inside was pretty loud. First dinner in town. A local shop recommended this sweet place and it was so spot on. The vibe was just perfect. Enough good energy without being frantic and the staff is amazing. Smart. Friendly. Helpful. Funny. Cool. Loved them all. Great bar menu. Fun cocktails. Robust wine selection. The food was just perfect. So flavorful. How do you pack so much flavor in an artichoke?...how? And just when you think the artichoke can't get any better they take it back for artichoke heart surgery and it comes back perfectly prepped AND they top it with.....wait for it........delicious egg salad! Did you hear me?....I said EGG SALAD!!! What the heck is going on in the kitchen?!!? I'll tell you what's going on. Some sort of generous genius is concocting incredible dishes. I love chicken Paillard but have never had one so juicy and tender. And it even had a nice little kick to it. And they didn't hold back on the arugula that was perfectly seasoned. Not oily. Not dry. Perfect! [And btw. To the two grown men who sat next to me at the bar, enjoyed beautifully prepared cocktails, excellent ambience and then skipped out on your bill like idiots, many of us saw you running out like cowardly cheapskates.
