This restaurant was in our hotel so an easy choice. There was lots of seating and a live band. We were able to get seated right away on a weekday evening. The food was good - we got the chicken and meatloaf Wellingtonand both were great. We didn't try the drinks but they looked good. They were accommodating for substitutions and allergies. Our server was very busy (I think she might have has the whole restaurant to serve) so there wasn't much interaction but I don't fault her for that as she was hustling!

Public service is just meh". Public service is located inside of the NOPSI hotel on Baronne. The food has never been that great so there's that. I do love my sweet bartenders who always know what to make as soon as I walk in the door. Shoutout to my guy Chris who always hooks up a great drink and my girl Ashely who handles the restaurant w| grace. I would go here for a nice drink, food, no in deed. Allegedly, there is a new chef in the kitchen, still doesn't help the fact that the food isn't great. I believe this place needs a big refresh.

Amazing whiskey selection here! HUGE SHOUTOUT to the lovely ERIN JUPITER for the wonderful customer service and hospitality at Public Service! She truly went above and beyond during service and I could not thank her enough for my experience at the bar. First impressions are important right? She excelled and delivered to a T and I will forever remain loyal to the NOPSI Hotel. Thank you again Erin! You are the best HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! UNTIL THEN!! ^-^

A very overpriced restaurant inside the NOPSI hotel. I suppose you could go for the convenience of it. The food was generally good but it appears I got overcharged $9 beverage fee for just water. I didn't find out til later. The service was just ok. If anything, just got there for the bread and jam. On the plus side, there's usually live music and the ambience is pretty peaceful and serene.

Happy hour here is 4-6pm, and both the drinks and staff are amazing. I was well taken care of and had great conversation with the bartenders. The vibes here are classy, yet casual, and the music choices were great. I'm definitely adding them to my Happy Hour rotation.

My husband and I stayed at the NOPSI for a few days while visiting NOLA, this restaurant and bar is attached to the hotel. We got a few drinks from the bar during our stay and got some brunch before heading to the airport. The service was fantastic 10/10, Miss Ella was our waitress and she was very sweet. My bacon was super crispy and my husband loved his French toast. Also their prices are very reasonable.

Here I'm drinking a grand Hennessy; must try it ! It's Hennessy, grand mariner , moscato and pineapple juice.

The bartender , Reggie was top tier ! The food was mediocre; needs more options and make them local cuisines ! I had fun here with the amazing mixologist . He was sooo sweet and catered to my requests even made me a special house juice

This place served our best bites in New Orleans! We went during Mardi Gras, and service was still tip-top. As a former server, I was impressed with how much the staff helped one another, ensuring prompt, calm service. I had a well-balanced dirty martini first- definitely get a drink while you're here. The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had! Crisp, lemony, perfect. I also had shrimp and grits, which I don't even like normally, which were a hit as well.

Just your basic shrimp pasta. With barely any shrimp.

The ambiance is lovely, and sitting out on their patio made for the perfect, relaxed New Orleans evening. The highlight of our round of drinks was definitely the Righteous Harlot cocktail. It comes in a beautiful flute and is a stunning bright pink color, mixed with vodka, dragon fruit cordial, St. Germain, and sparkling wine. It was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. We ordered a few different small plates to share around the table. The Scotch Egg was spectacular--perfectly crispy and savory on the outside with a gorgeous, rich jammy yolk inside, served right alongside house-made piccalilli relish. We also tried the Zucchini and Horseradish plate, which was incredibly unique and flavorful. It features a perfectly charred zucchini base loaded with a zesty horseradish cream and topped with beautifully shingles of crisp, fresh zucchini slices. While I didn't get a chance to snap photos of everything else we ate, every single bite was inventive, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, and the bartenders really know their craft. We highly recommend dropping in for a sophisticated drink and a few excellent bites!

Marvin has been promoted to Beverage Manager. He left his bar in very good hands. The two young dudes carrying his torch were great. Very friendly and well aware each time we finished our drink and needed a reload. They're well-trained in the art of concocting the Sazerac we love. Sitting for 2 hours watching the regular turnover of the precious seats at the Carousel is still big fun. And having a friendly chat with the constant turnover of strangers sitting next to us is part of the unique charm of the Carousel Bar. As we were leaving Corey the bartender let us know management is shutting down next month for a few weeks for much needed repairs & renovations so the Carousel can add another 50-60 years to its legacy.

The cocktail list looked interesting, but the two we had tasted pretty standard, inline with what you'd expect from a hotel bar (it is inside Hotel Monteleone). There is a small bar bites menu - the Cubano was tasty but a bit overpriced at $18. The service was okay. We ended up getting water from our server that brought us food as the bartenders were too busy making cocktails. There was a jazz band playing on Thursday night when we visited.

The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. That simple move already separated this place from the chaos outside. It's hospitality in its cleanest form: welcome in, take a breath, we got you. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in.
