This was a Togo order and did not pick up so unfortunately I cannot speak on service or atmosphere. If the they were anything like the food I received, I'd guess they would be bad. I got the fried rice with tofu. Tofu was perfectly fine and edible. The "fried rice" had maybe two pieces of egg, 9 bean sprouts, plenty of green onion, too much, the rice was kinda mushy and there was only what seemed like black pepper as seasoning. This place is right next to my nail place and Happy Cow said there were vegan items on the menu so I decided to check it out. When I asked the cashier if vegan items were clearly labeled on the menu, she didn't seem to know. You can either order at the kiosk or directly from her at the register. My mom ordered the salmon rice bowl and I tried the dry ramen with tofu. I ordered us both water to drink because they didn't have iced tea (boba is not the alternative suggestion to make if I'm just looking for iced tea). Also was not thrilled that they only offered styrofoam cups (and at the time had no lids). The couple of staff I interacted with while trying to order was just odd. The food came out fairly quickly but not both items together at the same time. My mom really enjoyed her meal but she's happy to just get out of the house these days. I just wasn't impressed with my order - it was just so-so,m meh, and a little bland (even though I'd ordered some spice to my tofu). It's also pretty loud inside and seems a little crowded. They got my order completely wrong.The dry noodles were super sweet when I asked for a spice level 4 out of 5. The bowl itself was supposed to come with Kimchi, onions and dried onions, but they were all missing from the bowl. I don't think adding those would've made much difference, the noodles are extremely sweet and the whole bowl is dry, really cold and just thrown together with little care. Usually swing by If I'm getting my car serviced which is right near there. I always get k-pop soup with chicken and level 2 spice which is plenty spicy for me, and I love spicy food. It arrived in two large, 3-inch round slices, making it challenging to eat with chopsticks. They quickly filled my request to dice the pork. Furthermore, it seemed not to have been slow-cooked, as the fat was not properly rendered, resulting in fatty pieces and stringy meat. Unfortunately, I found myself picking bits of pork from my teeth. The overall experience felt rushed. I recall the pork being exquisitely tender and well-prepared in the past. So, my first experience with K Pop involved their Tonkotsu Soup, which I felt inclined to get as it's the BEST at so many places. At K-Pop, it was just alright. It was a bit much on the fresh ginger and less flavorful than what I'm used to. Granted, it's Korean Ramen, not Japanese (hard to compete). However, last night I discovered that their K-Pop "Chicken Noodle Soup" was amazzzing. Don't get it twisted, this is not Campbells, this is not your mamas, and this is not full of the alphabet...but it will still set you straight when you're fighting a cold with lots of flavor, spice, and yumminess. read more

Came here on a Tuesday evening and it was busy. They have family style tables, but that is a bit awkward for social distancing. Luckily, an individual table opened up just as we were done ordering. We had the vegetables mandu and the chashu bao. The bao had a delicious sauce and nice crunchy veg. We had the garlic miso soup and the K-POP chicken soup. The chicken was nicely grilled and imparted a nice charred flavor to the soup. The K-POP had cabbage, which was a nice addition. My Asian husband has taken me to many ramen places in our day and this one is one of the best we have ever been too. The inside vibe is a creative family friendly feel. Two words: Chashu bao... aka the most delicious pork buns. Some spicy Mayo and secret sauce with the fatty pork, springy buns. And pickled vegetables makes for one heck of a bite! Miso garlic soup: fantastic. We got level 2 (out of 6) spice. Just enough to feel a little heat, but not spicy. The pork belly was crispy and tender in all the right ways. The broth was a "tip the bowl to get it all" type. K-style wings: we got these because they came with fancy fries. We enjoyed the chicken, but the fries were a tad dry. Great flavors nonetheless! OK. I'll admit: Korean is that Asian food style I'd not entirely immersed myself in. A PBS cooking series intrigued me with scissored roast beef (ahem...)--but then, there's something rotten... OK, yeah, kimchi was just that "something" my taste buds/gut microbiome... couldn't wrap themselves around. This was in a time in America when not everyone was "pickle-and-ferment" everything... (I've never really been there...) But a bonafide Korean neighbor was helpful in finding some of the highlights beyond BBQ in the deeply Korean realm--including a breakfast where I was the only one who seemed out of place, asking about I was eating--then, tasting it...was OK careening over the cliff, saying, "Yeah, stomach *is* a breakfast food. Pass the kimchi. No, the other one!" But neighbors move and the palate dulls. Which, not surprising given this review, brought me to K-Pop Ramen, a quirky eatery with a claw game and a Pacman machine seeming not at all out of place, and expected K-pop boy/girl/"non-bine" (can I coin that here?) bands framed across the walls. OK, admittedly, I was never a ramen eater as a kid--"pascetti" sufficed my younger palate. But as I was hungry, and had been eyeing this place for years, and family were just gushing over their recent fusion meal of birria ramen, brimming in a crystal-clear consommé--um, I digress. So feeling the vibe, and trying to figure out what sounded good (filtering through reviews that mentioned food choices...), I found myself staring at the self-service ordering kiosk. A standard Asian restaurant style menu (ample pictures with overwhelming choice but everything sounding...similar?) and the ominous "Errors in heat level are non-refundable..."--well, I just had no idea--so I defaulted to the eponymous "K-pop soup" and...borrowing from my fast-food habits--made it a bundle! (The 4 outta 5 heat level I chose was nice but a palate as macho as mine could handle 5, surely!) But a little more guidance--descriptions of flavors rather than bog-standard ingredient lists--would be appreciated. How had all the people chowing down in the bustling dining area choose? Special knowledge--that ancient Korean secret? I dunno. They seemed to be enjoying it, however. As for the spice level--well, I wish there had been a little more of that "kimchi funk"--but whatevs. Some will like this, some won't--it was good, and I emptied the large bowl. I can see why the temptation to add more veg or meat or to "noodle it up" is great with most Asian soups (I'm talking about you, Pho!) but the baseline here was quite acceptable. Along with it (in the aforementioned bundle) I had the--wait, what is Mandu? and was he the one with the lavender lightsaber in Star Wars? Well, it was a veggie dumpling--and very tasty. Was the house condiment soy sauce? I couldn't tell (sorry!) The spice was balanced by a seafoam-tinted matcha drink that was tarted up with some chewy boba, which added a playful touch--getting to stab your drink open, then avoid the tapioca ball flying unexpectedly straight at your uvula--that'll clear a throat out. And of course boba is the Mandalorian dude, right? So the bundle was pretty good. Could I have had a better guide? Probably, but it was quirky/fun enough to compete with other soupy "foodways"--sounding waaaay too New Age--like, say, Thai or Vietnamese. The Korean angle was nice, but it wasn't as in-your-face as, say, a bowl of breakfast tripe. Overall, fun place. Could add some description other than ingredient lists to differentiate the dishes. (So I am not worldly! So sorry!) Not interested in the toddler-targeted teriyaki chicken whatevers that are omnipresent in these eateries. Worth revisiting should hangovers commence. We ordered the food via GrubHub and we understand that eating anything at the restaurant is usually better but the food was ok. We had Pork Tonkatsu Ramen and the flavor was so mild. Tasted very plain and this has nothing to do with eating at the restaurant or ordering to go. The meat was plain tasting as well. Kpop Dry Ramen was also not good. It tasted like chicken soup from a can almost. The only thing that save it from getting 2 stars or lower was the Bulgogi buns. It was delicious and worth the try. Studying for a big test definitely works up an appetite. I've been craving ramen more than ever, and it is now my quest to find the greatest ramen in Dallas. Tldr; not the greatest ramen I've had in Dallas, but certainly not the worst. I need to try it in person though. I ordered in so I could eat and study. Packaging is super important when it comes to delivery ramen and I have to say I was impressed. They put the ramen contents (ie meat veggies etc) in a little bowl nestled within the bigger bowl of ramen broth. You just go ahead an pour it in! The meat was well cooked, the broth was flavorful and spicy. It could have been a bit richer, and it was missing that "it" factor, but overall it was good. Excellent noodles. I also got some dumplings on the side and they were solid. This place is good, and I can't wait to try it in person!
