Out of all the Japanese Ramen I've tried, this place has been one of the most unique experiences. I absolutely love the beef broth, and you can immediately taste the difference from other restaurants. At first, when the bowl came out, it looked like a small serving, but once you started eating, it was good enough for one adult. I also tried the okonomiyaki and the Fried gyoza and everything was good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting. It is worth it! Today, 10/02/25 around 5 p.m., we came to try this place because it looked appetizing. There was only one other table occupied, so it wasn't busy at all. We were greeted and seated right away. The issue came when we got the Chicken Karaage. My husband opened a piece to cool it down for our kids, and I noticed it looked "saucy." Concerned it might have honey (since my 9-month-old can't have it), I asked the server what was on it. She said no, it didn't. So I gave my baby a few bites. Then, on closer look, I realized part of the chicken wasn't even fully cooked. THE CHICKEN WAS UNDERCOOKED. The "sauce" was actually clumped-up breading. I told the server, and she said she'd confirm with the cook. She came back saying the cook confirmed it was cooked. We're not the type of customers who complains. We know how hard it is to be on the other side. But this could have been handled soooo differently. Just admit the obvious mistake. Very simple. Take accountability. What really makes me mad is that my baby could get sick from eating undercooked chicken, and instead of owning up to it, they brushed it off. That's what left the worst taste in my mouth. read more

I wanted to like this place since I enjoy ramen but I wasn't too impressed. I had the Regular Wild ramen and an order of Beef spicy gyoza. The ramen was milky tonkotsu ramen, but I didn't feel it had enough flavor in the broth. The gyoza, while nice, was covered in spicy mayo sauce and other toppings. We were over by Ala Moana, and instead of eating at the food court, we decided to drive a few minutes away to Ward Center: We were glad we did. We started off with the fried ika app. The squid was fresh, tender and nicely battered. It was a good way to whet your appetite. Kamitoku's sig item is a beef ramen. I never stray from my tonkotsu broth w/ chasu, but this time I decided to go with the flow. I was very impressed! The broth was rich from cooking over several hours, and the one piece of beef made me full. I usually eat six pieces of chasu to get full. Our waiter, Jeremiah was a super nice guy and full of aloha. The ambiance is tight casual. We went off hours so it was not that busy. Ward Center is a nice alternative to the hustle & bustle of Ala Moana. This ramen shop in Ward specializes in beef based ramen. Got takeout from here, service was super fast and friendly. The takeout container was neat, kept the noodles and soup separate. I ordered tsukemen (dipping noodles) and was blown away at how flavorful the dipping broth was (beefy, garlicky, umami). The noodles were also perfectly cooked. There was a large chunk of beef with a little bit of fat (yum), some bamboo shoots, and half a marinated egg. My husband tried the yuzu ramen and wasn't impressed. My new favorite Ramen restaurant. Having driven or walked by this many times, I am glad that I stopped in. Having eaten here twice, the service is always friendly and water refills are plentiful. The temperature is a bit on the cool side, so bring a light jacket if you easily get cold. Of course the Ramen will warm you up! The ramen is very creamy and flavorful. My personal favorite is the Beefy King, which is enough for two people to share or one really hungry big guy. It was loaded with lots of meat and veggies. A lot of my friends always raved to me about the beefy wild bowl, and now I get it. We went on a weekday night and only had to wait a few minutes after writing our names down to be seated. It really is supremely decadent and flavorful, but I actually ended up enjoying the tsukemen more, with perfectly cooked noodles. There's a bit of a wait but easy to get parking in the ward area. We got fried garlic, and it's exactly what we expected, very garlicky. Also, I got the tsukamen and my partner got the beefy wild. Both were very good but I really enjoyed the tsukamen. The noodles were slightly thicker and nice and chewy. The broths were both good and very hearty. In Ward by Maile's Thai, Kamitoku Ramen is a relatively small ramen spot. There was a wait when we got there but it went by pretty quick. The tables can feel a bit close together and the restaurant a bit dim but it was altogether a clean and quick experience. The service was efficient and our servers were kind. That beef flavor was rich and it's worth a visit to savor Tottori ramen. Staff needed to explain how to order through QR Code. Site is not intuitive. Also, our table experienced other table's orders being added to our tab. The staff indicated that these orders were from a neighboring table and that we should delete those. Seems like a problem for the restaurant to solve. Although it was cosy and izakaya like, the a/c was anemic. Eating ramen leaves you pretty warm. Can't say enough about this amazing Ramen venue. Located in the Ward village area, the location is super small, and almost has a waiting list for dinner, but it is well worth it. Seating is on small wooden tables, and the area still has the partitions from covid. There is also a small table top center bar stool section for singles as well. We tried their specialty, the Beefy Wild, and the Tan Tan Men. The broth of the Beefy Wild was amazing and there were generous portions in the bowl. Don't worry about the heat of the tan tan men as we felt it was mild and oh so flavorful. On a weeknight, there was still a 30 min wait before being seated. Once we made it inside, the interior is modern and artsy, with 2000s hip hop music playing in the background. For appetizers, we ordered the tonkatsu fries. The skinny fries were super crispy and topped with tonkatsu sauce, kewpie mayo, and bonito flakes. Delicious. For my ramen, I ordered the beefy seabura. #12 of 52 (trying a new restaurant at least once a week) Had this place bookmarked for a while and I was craving ramen so we decided to give Kamitoku Ramen a try. We arrived a little after opening on a Saturday and got one of the last few seats in the restaurant. It is small inside so I understand how it can quickly fill and result in a wait list. At any rate we were seated quickly and given a couple waters. After perusing the menu, and spotting lunch specials, we settled on that. The lunch specials come with a choice of ramen and 1 choice of 4 pupu's. I chose the Beefy Wild ramen ($18.75) because I heard that is a must try. The 4 choices of pupu's were two different types of fried gyoza, karage and a stamina bowl. I chose the stamina bowl because I don't like fried gyoza and the stamina bowl sounded good. My honey got the spicy ramen ($18.75) and the stamina bowl. The stamina bowl came within about 5-10 minutes. It is a small bowl with a scoop of rice, some thinly sliced meat (tasted similar to bulgogi), kimchi and sprouts (I think). It was SO good! I mixed it all together and each bite was perfect and full of flavor. We both really enjoyed it. The ramen arrived a few minutes after the stamina bowl and my honey tried my broth while I was still eating my bowl and from the look on his face I knew it was delicious. He really didn't even have words for how good it was. I've only had ramen with a pork broth so this was my first go with beef broth. I don't even have the right words to describe how phenomenal the broth was. First of all it is a white looking broth but there is no dairy in it. I learned that the broth is emulsified and that is why it is so creamy and appears white. Upon first taste you immediately get slammed in the mouth with beef. I was so surprised at how beef forward the flavor was but definitely in a good way. The broth was incredibly flavorful, rich and creamy. My honey like his spicy ramen but he preferred mine. In fact I didn't eat too much of my broth so he could mix it with his leftover ramen he was taking home. The piece of beef in the broth was very tender and the egg was perfect! The portion size was perfect for me. The broth was so rich that I barely finished it. It's definitely night and day compared to every other ramen I've eaten but it's a nice change and I will definitely go back time and again for that Beefy Wild. read more

Located in ward center, I parked in the structure but had trouble finding it. It's located on the outside facing the street, so hopefully that saves you some time. I came for lunch and got the lunch special Beefy Wild and 3 piece Sui Gyoza. Their ramen is very unique in that the broth is made from beef. Its usually pork or chicken, but its nice to have something that's so different, even the chashu is made from beef. I liked the flavor of the broth and the soft piece of beef but I prefer the noodles to be a little more firm but it was still very good. The hand made Sui gyoza was also unique in that it was filled with beef and steamed and served with a shoyu based sauce. Because of the lunch special I got them both for under $20 My brother got the Seabura, creamy shoyu broth with stewed back fat. The flavor was more intense and also came with thicker curly noodles than the Beefy Wild. I didn't know there were different thickness of noodles that we could choose from. I know next time.. He also got the small beef bowl as his side which tasted like gyudon. I think I enjoyed that more than the gyoza. Ward Center has its own parking lot, service was friendly and refilled waters. Pretty good lunch specials with a ramen and a small side dish. I think I'll go with the Seabura and beef bowl next time or another type of ramen and request the thick noodles. read more

My favorite place for ramen on island! The creamy, rich beef broth is to die for. I've tried many different broths and nothing can compare to the gyokotsu/beef bone broth here. The price has inched its way up over the years but what hasn't. The wait usually isn't too long and I'd definitely make use of the reservation system on Yelp if you want to plan ahead. Service is usually very quick even if you add your name to the waitlist at the door. If you have any stamps from their stamp card system before, be sure to turn it in with your check to add points to their new digital reward program. read more

There was a lemon for garnish and there was way too much green onions. To be honest, the beefy gyoza tasted more like what the sisig flavor would've been. Their number one item which was the beefy fried rice was definitely my least favorite item. I understand fried rice is cooked with oil. However, this one was soaked in oil. I don't normally eat steamed rice, but I was dying for just a scoop of steamed rice. Their number two item on their menu was the beefy seabura ramen. hands-down I gotta admit this has been one of the best flavored Ramen I have ever eaten! The beef served with the tsukemen was so tender and I loved how thick and al dente the noodles were. If you are a yuzu fan, the sui gyoza is a must!
