First of all, let's talk about the elephant in the room..... my love for coffee. I have traveled across the lower 48 in a 2005 dodge Dakota, with nothing but the clothes on my back and a sleeping bag on a wood board. In those early mornings, perhaps along an unnamed body of water- a mile or two away from the interstate- I would yearn for a coffee that could shake the ennui off my bones and wipe clean the residue of the late-stage American landscape left deep in the crevices of my soul- similar to the crumbs left between the seats of my Dakota. Kape Roasters, has this coffee that I yearned for on the shores of those unnamed bodies of water just beyond reach of the howling interstate. My first sip, I thought of that 20 year old young man who had nothing but a lukewarm, glass bottle of Starbucks coffee I bought from a gas-station the night prior. Kape Roasters has this coffee... I can feel the espresso light up my tastebuds like a million lighters in a stadium. The caffeine flows through my brain and makes me feel like Bradley Cooper in that one movie where he unlocks 100% of his brain capacity. I also got the ham and cheese croissant and my beautiful girlfriend got a chocolate chip muffin. Both were absolutely delicious, we were like ravenous dinosaurs, bees to honey, a kid in a candy shop... if you will. The ambiance was fantastic too, I drank my coffee and there was a really nice blue couch there. Loved it! read more

Food: I ordered for a 12oz cappuccino. I got this, see photo, it's only 3/4 filled 12oz cup. When I asked the girl at the counter, she said "it's cappuccino" with a tone that it's not for discussion. Service: I was the only person waiting to be served, after a while I had to walk to the counter to ask for my drink, the girl found it sitting on their counter. The person who made this drink walked away. Ambiance: Looks welcoming to the whole family with things to do for small kids, only reason for 2 stars. I wanted to support local business owners and tried this place for the first time. I'm disappointed in this particular visit. Hoping this business improve their food and service. read more

This place has friendly baristas making your drink order - all the standards from cold nitro brews to ceremonial grade matcha - all prepared to your specific likings. I enjoyed a I seasonal iced matcha with guava foam - delicious!! Bring the kids and grandkids - there is a large, well stocked play area. There are coloring books with dozens of colored pencils, toy figures, Legos, blocks and books. The place is spacious yet has a cozy, quiet feel to it, even when filled with kids. Really good coffee and super friendly staff!! The shop has a big open space for kiddos with lots of toys as well as a couple tables and a big communal table. Can get really busy with the mommy and me classes that are hosted on certain days. From my experience, the wait can get pretty long so keep that in mind. You can order online from the website to circumvent the line, but the drink I always get (Turon latte) wasn't on the list when I tried to order online so I wasn't able to do that. Will definitely come back, but on days where I have time to potentially wait 20+ mins. I've come before work and been served within 5 mins, but there's also been times where it took almost 30 mins, so wait time when ordering in person just depends on how busy they are. read more

After looking at pictures and following their IG page since they opened, I decided to give them a try! The store is very spacious. I think it needs more lights to be honest because it felt a bit dark especially toward the end of the store where kids can play. I ended up getting a regular latte which I think was delicious. What I loved about visiting here was that the owner was walking around and thanking guests for visiting. I loved that the owner knows that by just having a simple conversation with guests you create the relationship that is not possible to create with those disgusting Chain coffee places that serve Burnt, low quality coffees. As a pharmacist customer service is always number one for me. The 2 young kids that were working the registers were so sweet and kind. One in particular named Rocco was so sweet and kind. Great job to the owner for hiring these kind kids. The girl that worked as the barista needs to cheer up a bit though. I am not saying being FAKE but if you are working, might as well have fun while doing it. I would love to work at a coffee shop. Like that is my dream job. Not because I need the money, just because I think it is such a fun job. Making coffee and talking to people, how awesome is that! I hope one day I get to work for couple of hours at a local coffee shop. But until then, I will support local coffee roasters such as this one! read more

I finally visited this place after seeing it on social media. It's super cool that they host different events here. They have a cielo player that was playing Christmas and Disney music when we went. The space was big and there's even an area for children at the back. Very cool place for parents to grab coffee and pastry even with the kids. I got one of their holiday drinks, the white chocolate mocha with panda cold foam and it was delicious. Not to sweet! My sister got the kape matcha and it was definitely not sweet, so you need to add sweetener yourself. My other sister got the Turon latte and it had a banana after taste which was nice. My drink was definitely the best out of all though. I will come back to try the pastries! So glad to see Filipino owed businesses in south Orange County!! read more

Kape is a Filipino coffee shop with classic and Filipino inspired drinks and food. I had the chocnut latte and enjoyed it! The chocnut and ube syrups are made in house. The shop is pretty large and is very family friendly with their free arcade game, kid's area, and seating.The staff was very friendly and my order came out quick! Kape is the Filipino word for brewed coffee I appreciated learning that upon entry I did Google "Kape" and that led me down a rabbit hole of other meanings in case you wanted to know That is irrelevant, though I ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk and that was it While I waited, I looked at the food display, tempted by a mini chocolate muffin that looked legit They seemed to appeal to palates savory and/or sweet A spacious atmosphere to take a seat The seating is imperfect, okay There is a kid spot to encourage social interaction and play It seemed like a great space and location to have a business overall So, how was my drink post the order ready call? Such a cute coffee shop! The inside is spacious with plenty of seating and a cute kids area. The decor is beautiful. The staff was so helpful and sweet when navigating the menu and making recommendations. The sandwich had pan de sal bread with tosino patty and was delicious! I wish it had a vinegar sauce and was bigger but otherwise yummy flavors. The croissants were flaky when warmed up either at the store or air fryer at home. The guava started off at mostly the cream cheese filling so I was wanting more guava flavor, then the other half was all guava flavor. So the components were there, I just wish they were there at the same time. The ensamada were great! I wish they had the ube flavor in stock but we'll have to go back. I looked this coffee place up on Yelp as good reviews and it did not disappoint. They said they have been open for 6 months or so. Seating inside and outside. Service dogs only inside. What I got was expensive prices ($13.50 for ONE PIECE of avocado toast that took them 30 mins to give to me) and horrible beyond horrible service. My boyfriend's brother also got a coffee mind you at the same time as me and had to go up to the bar after being forgotten about. Two people that were behind us got their drinks first and when he asked the barista to make his drink she made it wrong. Completely horrible service. If you're going to up charge food and expect to stay in business at least have good service. Food can take a while but avocado toast that takes 30 mins and is $15 is not worth it. The choconut latte had such a smooth delicious flavor too. They weren't cheap - two lattes were $15. You could tell they were quality though! The folks working were so kind and friendly too. The space is very open with good vibes, but it could be utilized better. I like that they are kid friendly and have a space dedicated for kiddos, however there is so much other empty space inside. I ordered two drinks today; Strawberry Matcha and I got the Mahalo Matcha which was supposed to be passion fruit/ guava/ orange flavors.
