. very tasty, katsu was crunchy and a nice thickness (i cannot stand flat katsu) . LOVED the egg, thin yet fluffy and not over cooked . Restaurant is cozy, i loved the tile walls and Japanese wall paper . Eric was our server and he was great! Super attentive and efficient .would def go again!

Stopped by this past Sunday for a late lunch, at around 145PM or so. There were no other tables besides ours so it wasn't busy at all. Came here mainly to try their curry omurice so I decided to go for their chicken katsu curry omurice while my husband went with their tonkatsu curry omurice. The chicken katsu was huge! It was thick, juicy, and tender. I really enjoyed this. The tonkatsu, however, was tough. It was not as good as the chicken in my opinion. Unfortunately, there was no option to choose how spicy you want your curry like many other curry places but they do have pepper powder at each table for you to use. My friend and I drowned our curry in pepper powder since we like it spicy. The curry was OK -- it ran on the sweeter side and doesn't carry as much depth as some places. There was a ton of rice with each plate. The omurice is just egg on top of white rice -- it's not really omurice. The rice had a good texture though, it was fluffy and plump. But since there was so much rice, there wasn't enough curry. By the time I was halfway through my meal, I barely had any curry left for the rest of my giant mountain of rice. Overall, it was decent. I don't think KARE would be our first choice if we want Japanese curry though.

Stopped by this place earlier this year. I said I would come back and I have! The service was good. I was immediately seated and given time to look at the menu. I ordered a chicken katsu curry bento box. This box comes with gyoza, salted edamame, miso, omurice, curry and then you get to pick your protein. The miso was nice and light and very quickly came after I placed my order. The gyoza was crispy on the edges and juicy. The katsu was crispy, tender and the cutlet was thick. The omurice was a little firmer than I'm used to but still silky. The curry has great flavor and there was a good amount. Honestly, so good and I had leftovers to take home. I was definitely satisfied!

Came in expecting a decent meal, left wondering why this place isn't packed like a BTS concert. First off, the host? 10/10 -- super friendly, didn't judge me for being overly excited about curry. Respect. Now the food: that katsu was crispier than my Wi-Fi at 3am. The curry sauce? Smooth, rich, and lowkey made me emotional. The omelette? So fluffy it could be a pillow -- but like, one you wanna eat. Only weird part? The place was empty. I was mentally prepared to elbow my way through a crowd, but nope -- just me, my meal, and some peaceful curry enlightenment. Go here before everyone else finds out.

Katsu curry spot in shanghai plaza that offers assorted katsu options such as pork and tempura with egg and curry! The servers are attentive and kind, and their shop is clen. For the katsu, sometimes the texture is a bit chewy. And the unagi is good but sometimes it's a bit mush. Overall, the flavors are nice.

This is a cute, quaint, little eatery located in Shanghai Plaza. Parking as a whole in this complex is gonna be rough whenever you go on a Friday night or the weekend... And we went on a Saturday night! Haha But onto the food rating. It's 5 Stars. Stop reading. You're done. Get here. No but seriously, if you're into curry flavors and fried proteins served over a bed of rice, this is the spot. Yes, we went when there was a grand opening special pricing for the curry plates, but I'd absolutely return to pay full retail ($5 more).

One of the better curry spots in town! The inside was cutely decorated and very calm music was playing - definitely very comfy vibes. The staff were super attentive and kept checking in from time to time. The curry was very flavorful and the katsu was super crispy! I think the curry to rice ratio could be a little better though. Our whole table had so much rice left over on their plates with no more curry. The unagi don was in a nice little bento and was worth getting. It was so juicy and the sauce over the rice just hits really good.

There are few meals more comforting than Japanese Curry. And man, did this place have a good ass curry. Like the restaurant itself; the menu is small. However, that doesn't mean that this place doesn't have anything to offer. For picky kids, there are still items like fries and chicken karaage on the menu. For curry lovers, though, you're in for a treat. You can select a protein, and the meal comes with a full plate of curry and a lovely egg atop a bed of rice. My partner was so into this curry that he'd take a bite, say "god damn," and then go in for his next bite. He LOVED this curry. I liked the variation of flavors and textures in each part of the dish, coalescing into a satisfying meal. The restaurant was very small, and despite it being moderately full at dinner time, it was never too loud. The servers were attentive and ensured our waters were kept nice and full. The price was decent too, practically ensuring a repeat visit. I'm certain i'll be returning.

It was my first time trying sweet curry rather than spicy and it's now one of my favorite foods. The food is simple, but delicious. Like others said it's never busy in there and I like how quiet and fast it is.

Had my eye on this for a while, been seeing their sign of their grand opening deal and decided to try it. It's a very quiet ambiance, I found myself whispering to talk to my table most of the time. It wasn't too busy when my group and I went to try this place, even when it was weekend dinner time. So we were seated pretty quickly. The service I think could be better, my group and I were waiting quite a while for our waiter to return back to our table so that we could order. There was another table that came in later than us and the waiter attended to that table for their order before us. For the food, it wasn't the best if I'm being honest. And I wasn't too happy with how the plate was presented. From the picture, this is how they served the plate to me, it's messy. Their katsu seems like it was pre-made and frozen, it didn't seem fresh. I'm glad I chose not to get the shrimp tempura because it seems like they use the pre-made frozen shrimp tempura and it doesn't look anything like the pictures that are on the menu. I don't have a problem with watery curry, but I didn't expect them to have two spice levels (which is mild and hot spicy, which they only had mild on this day). I got the mild curry and it was just very bland. The egg omelette was ok, nothing special about it. Overall, I think this place was ok. I don't think this would be the top of my reccommendations for Japanese curry places in Vegas but atleast I tried it.

We came at 1:30PM on Friday, not busy at all. The parking lot is always busy though lol. We both got the C1, came with curry, rice, omurice. The rice was fluffy. The curry was slightly thinner than what you would expect at Curryzen. The egg was nicely cooked. For the both of us, price came out to $32, including taxes and convenience fee ($1.22). Price doesn't include tip. Overall I enjoyed the food 5/5. Service 4.5/5 (didn't ask for mild or spicy until I got my order).

Japanese curry is one of those dishes I could eat everyday and not get tired of it. This place does it right! Simple menu, but they nailed what I look for in curry and what dishes surround them. I came here with friends and almost all of us ordered the chicken katsu curry omurice, with the exception of myself (I ordered the beef stew curry omurice). For about $15 a plate, it's great value and quality. Our table also ordered the corn milk soup and curry fries, both of which were quite nice as well. Service- on point, seated right away (no wait at the time), and attentive throughout. The space is quite small, so if you're planning to dine in I recommend checking in to see seating availability. Overall- 9/10 Will definitely come back. Just note curry is mostly served mild. Spicy option wasn't available when we visited.

I was really excited about going here after seeing so many good reviews on TikTok & Facebook. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed after my experience. As soon as we walked in, they didn't even greet us and just looked at us like we weren't supposed to be there. It took them 5 minutes to seat us even though there was an open table in front of us. Then took another 10 minutes to take our order, the waitress didn't even greet us or gave any pleasantries. I asked for a Calpico and I even heard her repeat it...never got it just our water. Food took forever and the "add-on" they literally just set it to the side (Curry Zen would never!), the cheese was cold and didn't melt even after adding it on our curry & the corn was cold as well like straight out of a can cold. Overall, the food was decent but the service honestly ruined my experience. I have a feeling they will be one of many businesses that has come and go at Shanghai Plaza. read more

This place is really good, but I have to take off 2 stars because they claim to be open until 9 pm, yet last call is at 8:30 pm--even when the place is completely empty. The owner just sits there clearly not wanting more business. If you close at 8:30, just post that as your actual hours. Very misleading and honestly pretty weird. I came here on a Saturday night and was surprised to see that it wasn't too packed! There was only one other couple in there when we got seated. We didn't really get greeted but when we sat down our server was nice, seemed very shy though, but he took our order and refilled our waters when needed. The music was lovely and everyone had their subtle conversations. The decor is beautiful with bright colors with wall art as well. My boyfriend got the beef stew curry udon and liked it a lot. I got the chicken curry and I loved this! I grew up a fan of curry zen, but I like this curry just as much. I just wish there was an extra spice option. 02/12 Knocking a star down. I ordered fried rice and waited 20 minutes. Another person came in 5 minutes later to order fried rice and we both got it at the same time. I think , instead of giving my dish on time, they decided to complete both dishes in one prep and make me wait longer. Food's still great. Not optimistic about their service recovery I usually don't care about waiting an extra 10 minutes while my friends finish their meal, but they still charged us a convenience fee after I waited extra long. Felt like I was done dirty and I regret giving a decent tip. read more

My wife and I absolutely love this place! The food is consistently presented beautifully--just look at that creamy, fluffy omelet, golden katsu, and crispy fried bites. Everything we've tried has been incredibly delicious and full of flavor. We've dined here before, the service and the experience is always elevated by the cozy ambience and great background music. Had the Chicken Katsu omu rice. My chicken was not fully cooked. Gummy texture led me to examine the meat and sure enough was pink and slightly translucent. Thought it mightve just been my plate only but my wifes ended up undercooked as well. Waitress was nice, good service and understanding. read more

After seeing some TikTok's we had to check it out. The restaurant was clean and spacious and we were seated quickly. We ordered the spam katsu curry, beef stew curry, takoyaki and curry fries which were all delicious. Regarding customer service, I would say it's the bare minimum. Didn't get that welcoming experience but more "eat and leave" kind of feeling. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try as their food is delicious. read more

I went to try a new place for curry, but I was very disappointed. They served a thin layer of curry, which felt ridiculous given the small portion size. The taste was below average, and I feel sorry for the server because, honestly, I don't think this business will survive. Chicken katsu was $14, best part of it was the chicken itself but everything else was super simple. So if you don't like a lot in your curry I guess you might like this spot. Curry isn't very customizable, you can't get spicy at all and the curry is a little bit salty. Service was fast, he came to us as soon as we sat down. The restaurant is very cute and cozy there's cute cat pictures placed around. Lots of seating. ok this place is great, usually our go-to would be curry-ya at cheongdam but THIS is a bit better. all i gotta say is the place is cute, it's very comfy and the bathrooms are clean as well. their water isn't tap LUCKILY so i really like that. we went around 1:20ish PM and it wasn't busy (which i recommend when going obviously lol) so i really enjoyed my first-experience here! (FYI: went when they still had their grand opening deal which is $10 for their curry omu but OG price is 14-15 but to be completely honest i'm not sure i'd spend that much unless i'm feeling fancy) read more

Super small and quiet Place. Upon arrival it took forever to even get noticed so my friend and I took a seat. That is when the waitress came out and looked at us with a grim expression. She then took maybe even 10 minutes to take our order and kept pacing back-and-forth by our table without acknowledging us . Once we made eye contact, she finally came to our table and she kept it very short. As someone that's been in the industry for 5+ years I understand if the restaurant is slammed with orders (which it wasn't btw), it's hard to be all bubbly. But I felt like we were bothering her, even trying to place an order. Once we got our food, she completely ignored us until I finally asked for the check. I did notice she did not treat the other tables around us like that. We felt super out of place. Such a bummer because the food was pretty good. I was looking for a more spicy curry, but it was flavorful and I enjoyed the omurice. If you come here, I recommend sitting by the wall because the tables are pretty close together . I'm not sure if their AC is not working, but it felt kind of warm inside. I love curry, but I don't think I would come back here based on how awkward the service was. read more

If you want good curry don't come here. Curry had the consistency of water and was bland. When asked if it had spice they said they didn't offer any and they could bring siracha. Japanese curry with siracha. Enough said. The rice was well cooked and the katsu chicken was nicely cooked. Takoyaki was decent. Do yourself a favor and go to curry zen 2 min up the street. Or get some soup dumplings next door and enjoy the mouth explosion. read more

I ordered the unagi (grilled eel) with rice and the pork katsu with omelette and white rice, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. Tamas had the Black Pepper Chicken, and I went for the extra spicy Indian Mee Goreng We started with Chicken Satay--tender, flavorful, and perfect with peanut sauce. For drinks, I had a Lychee drink and Tamas enjoyed Thai Tea. Everything was delicious! The Mee Goreng reminded me of Penang hawker-style noodles, full of bold flavor and spice. The Black Pepper Chicken was savory and satisfying. We also had a nice chat with Jay, who was very friendly. The restaurant was clean, the menu had great variety, and overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely be back to try more. Highly recommended!

The chicken and mango was good but the rice needs a lot of work. Rice was tough to eat..some are crunchy like under cooled or it was cheap rice. Service was tad slow but tolerable.
