Upon recieving the vehicle I looked in the truck bed to find undercarriage parts in the bed of the truck, and nobody seemed to explain why other than the they were not the technician. Service department does not honor advertise price online. I made an appointment online to service my Buick Encore. When I arrived at the service sept the service employee tells me that the service ot was going to cost about $500. I show him the reservation where it says the price and the service that they were supposed to provide. He called his manager and she check online and got the same price I was telling them. Still the manager told me that they were not going to Honor that price. So if you are in the Jacksonville area use another Buick dealership. In 2022 I only received one key for my 2022 Elantra and was told I would receive another. I never did. Fast forward to Dec 2024 I tried to get another key because of an issue with my current key. I was told I would have to pay for another key by Sales manager Josh Seivers nice guy who sold me my car. I was told I would only have to pay half the cost (which still seemed unfair) of $250.00. This was on a Monday, and I was told the key would be ready on Friday. Friday, I did as I was told, and had the car towed to the dealership. I called as soon as the car arrived to confirm that they had the vehicle, and they stated they did. Hours later no call. I called and asked if it would be ready before they closed, I was told YES. When it was close to them closing, I called and asked for an update and was told we can't locate your vehicle and once we do that, we can program the key so this would probably be MONDAY. Of course, I let them know that was NOT acceptable and made NO sense, so I was coming up there. A few minutes later I got a call saying we located the vehicle and will be programing it soon. I got a notification from Bluelink showing the car was unlocked and it was locked again in about 20 minutes. I received a call at 5:08 saying you have until 5:45 to get here to pick up the car. By grace of God, I made it there through traffic and was given a key fab and the price was $315.00 when I told them what I was told they dismissed me, and I asked for Josh's number they gave me a disconnected number (I will be going back up there) but what's even worse is they gave me a key fob with NO hard key attached and no option to add a keychain to the fob. Pictures attached. They are nice when they sell you the car but after that the Customer service or shall I say lack thereof is HORRIBLE. Find another dealer to go to. I took my G80 there for tire rotation and service. $600 later, my car was dirtier than when I brought it in. The front rims had this black paste-like substance on them that you couldn't get off without rubbing the crap out of it. Over the course of several months it got easier to rub off. You would think you would at least get a car wash after spending $600! Another thing, there was no direct line to service dept. I left a message with someone, two days later, still no return call. I contacted the GM via email and he had a bunch of excuses. Sad. read more

I felt they were dishonest with my car purchase; therefore, I requested a copy of all the paperwork signed on that date to find out that a representative had forged my signature on the inspection report. I don't recall signing this document at the dealer nor acknowledging or inspecting the vehicle as the report stated. The car had several issues and broken parts that later had to be fixed by the dealership. GMC's good reputation has been ruined for life. This was the worst car-buying experience I have ever had. Why I encourage you NOT to do business with Key Buick/Hyundai!! Took my Hyundai to Key because the A/C quit working. Key stated that all the freon was gone and they would charge $219.00 "diagnostic fee" to determine why. Despite taking my car in for two separate appointments, Key was unable to diagnose why it kept losing freon. I took it to another mechanic who immediately spotted a cracked and leaking hose and replaced it, fixing the problem. The General Manager at Key refuses to refund the diagnostic fee, admitting that his shop was unable to diagnose the problem. He wrote: "This is not a reimbursable charge even if we fail to identify a cause for the concern". WOW! They charge for a service (diagnostics), fail to provide it, then refuse to refund the charges when another mechanic was easily able to diagnose and repair the problem. I'm recommending that my neighbors stay away from Key Buick/Hyundai. There are lots of other dealers and/or brands out there. And FYI, Hyundai Corp. informs me that they do not have authority to override their dealers' decisions, regardless of how egregious they may be. read more

Visited around May 15th, Friendly staff, but they weren't willing to deal on a new 2019 GMC Yukon Denali. Their selection is not very good compared to Nimnicht GMC. I never received the $25 gift card that they advertise. I called and asked about it & was told that it would be sent in the US Mail. My friend didn't receive his gift card when shopping at Key Buick last August. Not sure if it is a scam, but definitely false advertising. I shopped at Coggin Ford & received their $25 gift card in about 4 days. After emailing Jack Wilson GMC, They were able to beat Key's deal in writing by email. When we went there for a test drive, they were able to beat the Key deal by about $4000 out the door & they gave us free Premium all weather mats. Jack Wilson GMC didn't offer a $25 gift card, but we saved a lot of money & are driving a new GMC Yukon Denali. read more

This is worse than a doctors office. Why set an appointment for 9a - I showed up at 8:45 - when the car won't get in the bay until 1:00? Do you know what I could have accomplished on my day off in 4 hours? Instead I waited for 4 hours for my car to even get in then another 3 hours for it to be fixed. This is simple logistics - example 25 mechanics and bays - each car has a diagnosis and the time it should take to complete the service - they know this because they can give you an estimate. Quit "selling" and just set proper expectations. How about - thanks for checking in, you're in line now. Can you bring your car back at noon so you're not sitting here accomplishing absolutely nothing in our waiting room? Oh, and to make this even better they called me during the week to try and "upgrade my ride." I told them I would be in at 9a on Friday and I'd talk to someone. 3 hours later, nothing. Then someone called me while I was IN THE SHOWROOM. I told them I was IN THE SHOWROOM and they said someone would find me. Another 3 hours and I'm leaving now - nada. Hilarious. I will say this - I LOVE my Genesis. I also just bought my son a new Elantra 2 months ago (different dealership) The cars are great but I'm not a big fan of this dealership. read more

Trash. Trash is a great adjective to describe this dealerships service department. I've had my truck in the shop a couple times for some repairs, all covered under warranty. I only needed to cover the deductible. One example is my wheel bearing. Now my other side wheel bearing is going bad as well and I'd like to have it taken care of. Key requires diagnostic fee of 160$ or something to just tell me what's wrong with my vehicle. In my opinion, it's a horrible way to get new customers. Yes, I want you fix my truck but no, I don't want to pay 160$ for you to tell me what I already know is wrong. Plus, if you charge me 160$ to then come back and tell me my brakes are worn instead of my wheel bearing, I would consider that thievery. Just not how I'd handle my service department. Also, no loaner vehicles which was the last straw. read more

Service department is super shady - they charged me outrageously and I had a full coverage warranty - went to another dealership and had no issues getting the warranty to pay for the exact same issues key Buick charged me for. I also paid out of pocket for a "software upgrade" and they didn't even perform the service is what the other dealership I took it to said and upon my own research I found out further evidence that they did not perform the service I paid for. The customer service was heinous, and I even asked for the service manager who was red in the face and spoke to me briefly then disappeared when I turned away to speak to my rep. Also 2 days of my rental wasn't covered because they let it sit in the drive up area for 2 days because, as they even admitted, are slow. It's apparent their service representatives are incompetent dealing with interpreting policies and the service laborers themselves are slow, and it's all ran by a red in the face service manager. I was held up for 2 hours just because the cashier didn't know how to fill out the paperwork and had to have 3 people help her. Everyone I dealt with at Key Buick was unfriendly, unprofessional, and incompetent and I highly discourage anyone from going here. read more

Ok, Here what happened, one month ago I took my car in, two days later I received a email, stating that it would cost 3,458 dollars, but that there were four parts on back order and they were nowhere to be found in America, no one had them. i was told they checked all the GM dealers and these parts were not to be found anywhere in the country. I was then told they did not do loaner cars, had none they claimed, But i know that was another lie, I think it was just another racist jab at me, because I know they had loaners for some customer. they told me I had to rent a car and gave me enterprise. I have spent 1,350 dollars to date on rentals. here's my problem with this. I finally got fed up and demanded, the parts list after I was told that I could drive my car out, even though I drove it in. I then went on line and within 1 minuet after googling the parts numbers, I found one hundred and thirty two different GM dealers some as close as twenty minuets away who had as few as two parts and as many as all four parts. these people, who told me they had the best parts man in the area, simple did not do their due diligence, and I had to get the parts myself. they lied, and caused me great harm. If they had did what other dealers do they would have at least called dealers in our town to find the parts, causing me to spend funds I could not afford. to add insult to injury, i now have to have my car towed out to another dealer to be fixed costing me more funds, and they over charged me more then stated for the diagnosis. They cost me fund that I should not have to bear the cost by myself, because of their incompetence, so this letter is to see if GM could hold one of your dealers responsible for the way they treat some customers. Checking on line I have more complaints then good comments, check the complaints site your self and see what I mean. These folks hurt me and I plan to follow up vigorously. Terrible service department!! They will absolutely lie to your face about the work being done on your vehicle. Make sure you do a complete walk around of your vehicle when they bring it to you. My Buick had oil all over the driver seat and armrest. They also put a 4 inch scratch on the front fender. I understand that accidents happen but the attitude I received when this was brought to their attention was uncalled for. I WILL NEVER step foot in Key Buick ever again!! For starters, my boyfriend has been having a problem with one of the service managers John. We constantly have to call up here to find a status out on our vehicle in which no one should have to go to to three days without knowing what is going on with their vehicle. The fact that they give you the run around and have been doing so for weeks really shows what kind of people work here and they do not care about their customers. I will rather take the drive to orange park than return to this piece of sh*t establishment. The mechanics can't even read a dip stick let alone fix your car, they are lazy looking for the quickest way out instead of investigating the problem, save yourself the headache and go to orange park. They recently sold a car to an elderly relative diagnosed with dementia. They actually picked this person up at their house and sold them a brand new car. This relative had previously caused a car accident. They are now refusing to refund anything, just 2 days later. Despicable. Update: After escalating to general manager, the car was refunded and taken back. According to family, the general manager delievered good service and was easy to work with. My initial encounter on the phone with Key Buick was poor, but I am glad to see this resolved. I hope that Key Buick learns from this scenario and keeps tabs on seniors who have obvious memory issues. read more

Asked for just an oil change and they doubled the cost of the oil change by purchasing parts that I did not give the authority to change. Also got my air bags replaced because of a recall and it looks like a wild animal got into my car and scratched up the dashboard. It fits the aesthetic of my car but it may not be your cup of tea. read more

I had an appointment at 9:45 am for service. I had to call at 1:30 pm for an update. I was told my truck will be looked at in an hour. Why did I make an appointment? I'd like to think they were having a bad/busy day but unfortunately I don't think that's the case, a few months earlier I came in for a simple oil change and the same thing happened. I chose not to write a review then because I don't like writing negative things about businesses. But I am writing this now because there seems to be trend. Poor service, very poor service. The service advisors are nice enough and apologize for the inconvenience and say they understand how I feel. I don't need you to tell me you understand, I need you to do the service I'm paying you to do and do it at the appointment time that you told me to come in at. read more

My air conditioner stopped blowing cold air in my 2018 Chevy Equinox LT 2.0. Key Buick had installed leather when my car was almost new so I took it there thinking it was still covered but GM said even though the car was purchased several months into 2018 that the warranty expired January. Got to have AC so I said I need it fixed how much to give me an estimate. and also I pointed out what looked like a leak in an aluminum manifold. Mary Jane said it would be 145. for the AC and 145 for the other what ever it was just to put it on the machine and find out what the problem is. What testing machine do you use on an ac system that tells you everything? and what testing machine tells you everything about a leak in your coolant system? she says that's what they do that there is a computer machine test for the ac and another for the coolant system. I just happen to have a complete set of the service manuals for this car. It does not describe any computer test system a-z for the AC or for the coolant system. There are many trouble shooting pages depending on the symptoms. Non of the trouble shooting described hooking up a computer to the car to see why the AC has High pressure on the low side and not blowing cold air. I would have paid $300.00 for some rip-off bs then also paid the hourly rate to trouble shoot the real problem and fix it. do not take your car to Key Buik read more

This dealership is ran by a sales manager that would be better fit for organized crime. This store is ran like a shoddy high pressure low end used car dealership. They want an outrageous $927 in dealer fees, practically no discount on year end models, and wonder why showroom traffic is slow. They have the gonads to class $589 as Customer Services (yes, they certainly service you on pricing) and $336 as Dealer Prep & Handling. I guess driving off the truck and dusting the car off is an expensive proposition. They will steal your time while taking near an hour - and I know the business and sat on them for the hour - an average customer would be worn out, which is their tactic. After an hour they came with a deal that was thousands over what it should have been. Gee, they must have no idea how to price the car when a customer walks in and have to reinvent the price wheel every time...... Here's the deal - go out of town if you want a Buick, a small down dealer will give you invoice pricing with little or no adds. Better yet - go next door over and buy a Cadillac for a lot less than a Key Buick. Oh - and the Caddy store has no dealer adds (hidden or elsewhere) read more

Though the staff is nice they do not care about the customers or the vehicles. The service center appears to be commissioned driven and only care about money. If you need your car serviced this is not the place to go. I've gotten my oil changed and notice that my fluids weren't topped off nor are put in my tire. But was annotated on a safety report that all of the above was done. It got so bad to the point where I will have to check the vehicle before I left the dealership. On Monday, Key Buick GMC on Southside Blvd., sold an elderly family member with severe short term memory loss, a car. This relative had previously been in an accident. This was done without the family's knowledge. Family who have been strongly stating relative should not be driving. The sales agent picked up and drove relative to the dealership, Key Buick GMC Southside, to purchase a car. Anyone who has been around this family member for less than an hour, can tell there are memory issues and confusion. Relative found the car too complicated to drive and asked to return it for an older model. Unfortunately, the 3-day cooling off period is not a law, and care dealers do not have to offer it. Key Buick GMC Southside Blvd., will not refund his money, but will apply it to a different car of his choosing. His son will be going with him to return the car. Technically, Key Buick GMC did nothing wrong. But to disregard human safety (the relative's and others) is appalling. Wouldn't the publicity of protecting the Elderly (with obvious memory and confusion issues) be in their best interest? I would have posted a much different status update, singing their praises. Please share this with your friends and family who have elderly relatives suffering with any form of memory loss and confusion. Do not count on the kindness and integrity of others. read more

They missed the mark on my visit. Despite my revealing up front that my purpose was to obtain info and test drive, a primitive archaic selling approach was attempted which is a big, big, big turn off for me! Listening and adjusting to the customer should be 1st priority & it wasn't on this visit. It started off well, as I was greeted almost as soon as I exited my vehicle. The salesman sat down with me and I detailed my purpose which was to check out & test drive a Terrain 1st and also get info on a Denali model as well as an Encore. I told him I had already been online and identified a specific vehicle. He came back after over 20+ minutes. He located a vehicle which happened to be the 1 I saw online and was interested in seeing & test driving. His overview, knowledge and showing were excellent and the test drive went well. Upon completion of the test drive it all went down hill. The salesman said he wanted to provide me some info but turned into a pressured sell attempt despite me saying: 1) I was not there to buy today. 2) I had other vehicles to check out/assess 3) The test driven vehicle did not have a sunroof which was an absolute. He kept trying to haggle about a trade-in that I told him I wasn't keen on trading in the first place. The sales manager also focused on that. I told him the focus was off track...plus what they offered was an insult to my intelligence and prior research...it was so low I'd be giving them an excellent condition Lexus GS400 to help them sell me a Terrain. Uhh not only NO but #3[[$ NO!! What was meant to be a 45 min to an hour visit ended up over 2 hrs. I told them I had to return to work more than once. I should have just left earlier when we completed the test drive. After all this, they gave me nothing in writing to review and said they would e-mail me the sale offer and lease info. 3 days later and nothing received. For the cherry on top, the salesman called yesterday (after I told him not to call me but use e-mail to communicate)..& had the nerve to ask in his message was there any 1 thing they could have done differently to complete the sale. Was told that they had a light day so would have me in and out for my 2013 gmc that had a failed key fob that needed to be replaced (take that note as you wish as well). So I decided to pay the difference in coverage and have my car towed to that location rather than the other dealership I normally have scheduled maintenance done. Day and a half later and told multiple times the incorrect information about what is being serviced I wait at the cashier for 45 minutes while they find my car. read more

The service representative didn't know where the battery was located and rather than attempting to charge the battery, advised me I had to buy a battery prior to attempting to diagnose the car. I just bought a new GMC from Bryan Brown at Key Auto Company. He had us look and drive about 4 versions of the Acadia before we found the one we took home. My family and I have bought 8 cars from Bryan Brown at at Key Buick/GMC/Hyundai sense 2001. Bryan has always listened to our needs and found the right vehicle to fit. Unlike a lot of dealers who go through sales representatives every few months, I have dealt with quite a few of the same Key Auto Company representatives over the years. It is not only the sales team that keeps me coming back, the service and parts departments are just as outstanding. I used to be a mechanic and have seen more than my share of shoddy work.
