I will never go to this dealership again. I had a recall on my vehicle and made an appointment to have it fixed. When I made the appointment, I mentioned that I would need a loaner if it were to take longer than a few hours. When I arrived at the dealership, I was told they would be finished in 30 minutes. Two and a half hours later, I check on it and it hasn't even entered the shop yet. After they finally put it in the shop, the recall literally took 5 minutes. Therefore, I have made an appointment to wait 3 hours for the dealership to do 5 minutes worth of work. read more

I met Thomas Logan 6 months before I purchased my Hyundai Tucson while I was in Key Hyundai for service on my Sonata. I wanted information on the lane assist and automatic braking system. Because I was impressed with Thomas, I asked for him when I went back to buy my Tucson. The trade in and purchase experience was the easiest I have ever experienced (I bought my first car in 1969). Had the worst experience ever buying a car at the used car sales department there, not sure how Jeff Willis is a sales manager there, he has no manner, bad service. Bought a damaged car there which they hide all of the problems from the paper, drove a week and the car doesn't work at all but they refusing to refund. I had the most amazing experience when I purchased my car here the rep (HI RICHARD)was absolutely amazing he listened to everything thing I said ,and I'm not talking about a sales rep trying to push what they want off on me like most dealerships But not here Richard worked with me every step of the way I had a car selected I changed my mind for a different one and Richard was so understanding and patient most salesmen would push me towards the first car but I loved the second one we had to change the paperwork and everything but he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I brought my truck in for service Friday Jun 2nd at 7:15am. Service manager Dennis called at 11:15am with the diagnoses of the trouble with my truck. He then told me it won't be fixed until Monday. I asked why not the same day or Saturday. He stated the mechanic was backed up fixing other vehicles. I didn't get my truck back until Tuesday Jun 6th. This incident has happened to me twice at Key Buick. Support is terrible. I will not bring my vehicle back to this dealership again. read more

But, recently I came in with a mechanical problem and Eddie in the service center made the entire process a breeze. I received a rental and was on my way within 15 minutes of getting there. I received a phone call that night and the following day with updates on my car and two days later I was back in action! read more

A service issue I asked to investigated in December was deemed to be "nothing", but turned out to be something. It may have been covered under warranty then-I"m not sure-but it definitely is not now. At this visit, I was told a complete front axle needed to be replaced, but when I contacted the warranty company I was told that the mechanic said only the left front axle was busted. I walked away from this visit feeling uneasy and definitely like Key was attempting to dig more money from me. I didn't even let them do the repair and don't think I will go back for any service needs in the future. read more

Key Buick GMC installed a beat up bumper on my GMC Sierra. I thought I had bought a new genuine GM bumper. That's what they said, but it was beat up. I have been waiting for a new bumper for days. Funny thing, before I paid them, they said they could overnight a new bumper. After I paid them, it's been days since I have heard from them. I will cancel/challenge the credit card payment. Always pay with a credit card for your own protection in case you do not get what you paid for. read more

I have been dealing with Key for about a year. I started shortly after I bought 3 cars and traded 2 in. One would think a business would appreciate all customers but especially someone who gave them substantial business. WRONG!!!!! I have been into their service department a least six times and never have I had the service advisor that was assigned. Why do they even bother. Worse though is the time to check in to get the service. They do manage to beat the lousy check in with the most unbelievable return of one's vehicle. Just this last Saturday, I waited for close to 25 minutes while first one person went to get the car and then a second went to find both the car and the first person. It is like a comedy routine and a bad one at that. The first was never found. The second person came back without the car. They have no system that makes sense. The two people looking for cars were the cashiers. They have no staff to get you your vehicle. They have no clue where the cars are. If you say something the answer is well I am trying to help. What help, your cant find my car plus I am the customer that is helping to pay the bills. I have complained about this to the service manager and my salesman. They apologize and say they will look into it. They say it should not happen and for sure not the next time. Guess what? It has happened each and every time. I finally had enough and went into the showroom to complain to the sales manager. I got another apology. What is a customer to do with an apology when it definitely is not a one time thing? When I said I did not want his apology he got huffy. I was already frustrated. I said since they obviously only give lip service to customers regarding service and I come 40 some minutes out of my way I might as well take my business elsewhere. He was not really concerned. He said go ahead if that is how I felt. You can count on the fact that not only will I take my service business elsewhere but my purchasing of cars will also go elsewhere. Given that my experience with buying and trading the cars was more than reasonable this entire experience is disconcerting. I would have recommended them for buying cars but no more. Now all that will listen, I will tell don't walk but run from this dealership. They don't really care one bit about service or their customers. read more

The customer service at Key Buick GMC on Southside/Gate Parkway was outstanding. The minute I walked up, I received a warm welcome and a polite "how can we help you". Josh Brown helped me out and was not pushy about choosing a car and made sure that what I left with was right for me. I narrowed their large selection of vehicles down to three and as soon as I drove the Buick Encore, I was sold! When I test drove it, Josh was so knowledgeable about the vehicle. While I sat for a bit as we completed the paperwork, we had four employees, including the sales manager Nick, come up and chat with us briefly, asking if we needed anything. They were extremely accommodating, efficient with getting my paperwork completed, and even made sure the car was newly detailed with a full tank of gas. Always a pleasure to work with Sales Rep Richard Rood at Key Buick, also this time with Steve Barranco, the Sales Manager. Richard is unfailingly polite, never pushy, listens to what I want and finds it for me. My greatest pet peeve is high pressure sales tactics, and I never get any of that from Richard. I just traded a Mazda CX-5 lease for a new lease on Buick Encore (which is a dream to drive compared to the Mazda), and both guys helped make it possible by working out a deal to cover my last 6 mos on the Mazda. This was my second time buying at Key & with Richard, and I can't see any reason to go anywhere else. My prior experience in the service dept was excellent as well. Honest, caring, doesn't oversell and makes sure you are getting the best vehicle at the best price to fit YOU, not them. How often is it you go in for your final signing of the papers and find out they lowered your payment even further than you expected? What a nice surprise. On Saturday 22, 2011 I noticed a 2001 Honda EX for sale on their internet site with a very attractive price. We emailed for a 1PM appointment and we went there at 1PM that Saturday to see the car. The lady at the info desk said she knew nothing about an appointment and gave us to salesman, John Tomazinis. He showed us the auto and went for a short drive with us. My partner and I told him we wanted the car, but he told us that we could not finance it and would have to charge it to a credit card or pay cash. Having neither at the time we were there, he told us that he would be at the dealership on Sunday and we could come back if we could get the funds and also gave us his personal cell phone number to reach him. On Saturday evening, we got together the total funds they wanted in cash. Early Sunday morning I telephoned him and left a message on his cell that we had the funds now and asked when he would be at the dealership. As well, I told him that my brother was very interested in another car they had and would come with us. A very few minutes later he called me back and said he had bad news - the car had been sold about 15 minutes after we were there on Saturday-to the Sales Managers' daughter. I was very upset and told him so. He neither had the courtesy to call me what had happened and I feel it was "insider trading" that took place. It is more than a little odd that the sales manager was so interested in the car just as soon as we had left and had it sold to hisown daughter knowing we were attempting to get funds for Sunday. I truly do not feel we were treated fairly and I feel if you go there, keep my story in mind. The salesman was very nice but did not follow through. Here we go again!!!!! We have had the worst experience with the Service Dept. Having our regular maintenance done here has been a nightmare, every time. I dread going in for my oil change and maintenance because now I just stress out over the experience. They always promote "making appointments" to expedite your service. I have made an appointment EVERY singe visit. This has never expedited anything. This time around, I arrived at my appt time 11:00 (Oil change ) was told by "Jim" that there were three cars ahead of me. Ok, I wonder if they had appts. (as this has always been my past experience that non-appt customers (walk-ins) were taken ahead of me, well after I arrived.) Anyway, I tried to stay optimistic, as Jim told me it should be anywhere from 1-1 1/2 hr wait time. I waited and after about an hour decided to go get a quick lunch with my husband. I thought I would be courteous and let "Jim" know what I was doing just in case he came looking for me if my car was ready before I got back. ( Fat chance) but nevertheless I tried to tell him and he was on the phone, looked at me and turned his back on me, I politely waited ( in the freezing cold breezeway) for him to get off the phone, he never got off. After about 5 min waiting I just left, my husband picked my up on his lunch break, we got back about 45 min later. I was sure my car would be ready since at this point we were at the 2 1/2 hr mark of wait time. I went back out to breezeway to ask "Jim" if my car was ready. To my surprise he was on the phone, again!!! I waited, again, and he never paused or got off the phone to ask me what I needed. I was so frustrated, at this point, but all I could do was just wait for him to get off that phone. Before that happened "Butch" happened to be walking by and asked if I needed anything. I said "YES" I was trying to find out if my car was ready and "Jim" is not available for questions!!! Butch went into bay area and as I watched him go in, I noticed my car was on top of the lift. Curiously enough as Butch was inside the shop he talked to someone and then I noticed my car coming down the lift. HMMMMMMM , did it just take someone going in there to ask them to get my car down?????? SO , my car was ready but they had just left it on the lift?????????? Dang!!!!! Butch came back out and said , "no charge for you today for having to wait so long". While I appreciate the offer, it wasnt enough to make me think that this will be the reason we don't purchase here again. The frustration didn't end there, there was a confusion with getting my keys , the cashier kept telling me , "we have to get your keys" and I told her 2 times, "Butch said they are in my car." She totally ignored me and called another service tech to go find my keys. This just kept me there even longer. I walked over to my car and confirmed the keys were in the ignition, but the service man was still looking all over for them. I got in my car and started the engine and he hollered back at me, "oh, you have your keys?" I hung my head out of the window and said "yes, thats what I have been telling you all for the last 5 minutes!!!!!!" There is so much dissaray at this service department. I'm just can't take it anymore. read more
