This is my first time we do delivery from the restaurant I usually go there but this time they made me very confused. Restaurant said the price on the website and inside the restaurant are two different price. I asking why but they couldn't give me the right answer and told me to call the company who did their order on the website. Which I did and they apologized and didn't do anything. we ordered three dishes without sugar but still the food tasted very sweet specially Tom yam soup. We ordered doordash. Doordash said they would be available in 30 minutes. It took over an hour and 20 minutes to deliver our order. We have kids that need to eat no later than 8:00 so that they are in bed by 9:30, and as of the time I write this they delivered right now at 8:45 when doordash said it would be here by 7:30. read more

So impressed with this place. I ordered a veggie Khao soi curry noodle and it was AMAZING, one of the best I have tried. Why??!!!!! I keep giving you chances to redeem yourself Khao Soi but it's safe to say you have officially lost it. Wait times extremely long now, food is rushed, and the quality has gone downhill. My fried rice looked and tasted like plain white rice with a small amount of sauce poured on top. No bueno. I will not be wasting my money here again. It was a good run though. I'm so torn about how many stars. Khao Soi use to be my second favorite Thai spot in LA (after Luv2Eat). And I would pick up food either 3 or 4 times a month because of the flavor, service and cleanliness. However, something has changed recently. The last 3 times I've ordered, my food has either been incorrect, not fresh or just not well prepared. Strike 1: I ordered crab fried rice and the crab was definitely bad. Plus they added egg even though I requested no egg. So literally 90% of my meal went in the trash. Strike 2: I order Shrimp friend rice and the shrimp were not deveined. Yuck! To make matters even more disgusting, my 5 year old are the majority of the shrimp before I realized it. So that was a scary night, hoping she didn't get sick. Strike 3: refraining from ordering anything with meat in it, I order Khao Soi Soup and drunken noodles and each dish had the incorrect level of spice on them. Both were ridiculous spicy so neither of my children could eat them. I will say that the Khao Soi has always come out onpojnt, except the spice level of the last time. My family and I have been going to Khao Soi Thai for a couple of years now. The food is great, and the best thai food we can recommend. The owner and the workers are wonderful! The food comes out hot, flavorful, and always beyond good. They are quick on refills and are so great even with our larger orders! One of my family members have frequent stomach problems and this food doesn't bother her stomach even with the array of spices! Highly recommend this place for all times of the year BUT love it during the cold, rainy, and winter nights. Yellow curry and the Gyoza are a must! Amazing job! read more

As close to a Thai home cook meal as you can get. Restaurant is closed between 3:30pm to 4:30pm to give their employees a break before dinner service but we got there just right before they closed so we were able to order fast and get served quickly. The restaurant was empty so nice to eat when it is not so busy. We got the fried chicken, Pad Thai and the eggplant but we opted to add more vegetables. Food was delicious and bursting with flavors. There is something special when it is a family owned business with "mom" in charge of the place. It was so good that I went again with another friend the next week to get the fried fish special and some pineapple fried rice. The dishes were consistently amazing. Went to this place to get roasted duck - they said they no longer offer it. I had the crab fried rice. It was mostly rice and some egg. They said they mixed the crab in with the rice, but I get so much more in OC for that price. It seems everything in Studio City is overpriced. Also, don't go off the Yelp photos for menu. The price on it went up. It was cold and about to rain, and I was too tired to look for another parking spot, so I just stayed there and ate, but it was not satisfying. Problem: the delivery guy couldn't figure out how to work the intercom, nor did he speak English, had to go downstairs to get the food which was not hot. Had to reheat after waiting over 1 hr 25 minutes for delivery. This was a weekday order-around 6:35pm, was delivered around 8pm, we asked for a receipt which the delivery guy didn't have. When we called back to express our issues, they couldn't understand us, we didn't even bother telling them everything was cold. What a waste of money on cold noodles, rice & eggrolls. The other thing that wasn't cool is the man who took our order,"Tom," asked for a tip for the driver, which should've been added after the food was delivered. My favorite meal in my trip to Southeast Asia was the khao soi in Chiang Mai. After that, I was on a mission to find great khao soi in LA. Khao Soi Thai takes the cake (I mean, it's even in its name). At $12 a bowl, the serving is generous, the broth is packed with flavor with a nice kick, and the pickled veggies add the perfect crunch. You know what's perfect for this rainy week in LA?! The khao soi from @khaosoithai in Studio City! This coconut curry soup has so much flavor and depth! You choose the level of spice& what protein to add... I went with a level 4 & the crispy pork belly because I may or may not have a slight obsession with pork! It has been a long time coming for me to review Khao Soi Thai and so here it is! It is hard to say where the best Thai restaurant is, but in Studio City, this one is either the best or one of the best in my opinion. Thai is one of my favorite types of food. They hit it on so many levels in terms of spice, flavor and quality ingredients. This most recent time I discovered their Chow Mein, which I know is traditionally a Chinese dish, but wow possibly the best Chow Mein I've ever had. I usually get the duck over rice, which is yummy if you love duck and I consider it one of their best dishes. My only criticism is that there is so much rice not enough duck, but duck is expensive so I understand. Even though I think there could be more duck it is more than enough food especially if you get appetizers. I also love their Drunken Noodles and their Chicken Wings. By the way they will ask 1 to 10 spice level and honestly if you go spicy, you will get spicy which I think is fantastic. My friend got Pad Thai which she said was good too and had so much food leftover that she took the other half for next day lunch. Honestly, I have had around 10 dishes there and I haven't been disappointed by any of them. I also love their Thai Iced Teas! The place is really cute, small and simple. Parking might be a pain, but I always walk there so I have no idea. Their delivery has always been fast. I have been coming here and ordering delivery from here since it opened and their customer service has always been friendly and accommodating to order tweaks. It's a great place! read more

This review is based on food alone. Service was good. We ordered chicken pad thai and pineapple shrimp fried rice. The pad thai noodles were horrible, you couldn't chew them or bite into them... the best you could do was just swallow them. There were more bean spouts then noodles. The chicken was odd and I just dont know how to explain them. As for the fried rice... it was ehh ok.. the shrimp had zero flavor. We will not come back here... please do yourself and your taste buds a favor and go to Gala Thai in North Hollywood.
