I went to Kickback Jacks in their Claremont and Rancho locations. Both were great experiences and their food was great. Huge portions and at decent prices. Overall, a great place to get breakfast. The recent visit was at their Rancho Cucamonga location. Their store hours was adjusted due to COVID and instead of opening at 7a they opened at 8a. A family was their bright early and got their at 7a. They waited for the full hour to have breakfast. The food must be worth it right? Well when we finally got service. The staff walked outside with tables and set the front patio for dining service. The tables are limited and at the time they didn't have a fan so if you're coming later into the day it may be uncomfortable with the heat. The breakfast item I got was the dirty country chicken w biscuit. Get the 1/2 size! The full portion is huge and I couldn't finish it. The food was good and I didn't expect the cheese sauce over the chicken. Overall a very hearty meal. I took half it home and did enjoy later. If you're looking to enjoy breakfast in the area especially with limited restaurants offering outdoor dining know Kick Back Jacks is open! Jus the sure to get there early. read more

This place is super cute. Yes, maybe a little kitschy but that can be a part of the appeal right? We were seated right away at around 930AM on a Sunday morning. By the time we left there was a long wait outside so we made it just in time. Service was a bit slow. It took a bit too long for someone to come by after we had been sitting a while. Also, the hostess brought menus and forks and placemats and put everything down but the placemats. She brought those back with her. I didn't really care but I thought it was odd. When we finally did put in our orders, the food was slow to come and we didn't get checked on that often. Our server lost our bill and took a while to find it. Never did but she had the kitchen ticket so that worked out. I would have appreciated if I were told to pay up front but I made a guess and was correct. If I were basing this review solely on food it would get 4 stars. Really good flavors and a nice selection of items. I got the Dirty Jalapeno Pancakes with Chili. Holy moly! That was good. I think savory pancakes might be the way to go now. I liked it a lot. Maybe it was a little rich and salty but it was good. The one thing I didn't like here was the latte. As a patron of this restaurant for almost ten years, I am dismayed and highly disappointed with the owner's recent action. Since October of 3033 on the east side of the dining room there has been an issue with the footboards. The owner's solution was to lay down 10-12 overlapping black floor mats. Not only is it a tripping hazard for servers and guests, it makes the dining room look ghetto. It has been almost eight months now. Surely a safer and more aesthetic solution can be found. read more

Numerous different dishes were ordered, and all were fantastic, not to mention the service was fast and the portions were huge. My sister and I went to breakfast yesterday and we had the BEST server!!Crystal was so super friendly. I always ask for my eggs, bacon,potatoes AND toast to be well done. Many servers will fake a half smile, but I usually get a side of eye roll with that request. Not Crystal she said SURE and added "that's the way I like it too." I'm not sure if that's true or not but the point is she didn't make me feel like a jerk for asking. Going out these days customer service can be hit or miss. Today was a HIT! Also, the manager greeted us when we got there and came by to check on us part way through the meal. The meal was perfectly prepared and delicious so kudos to the cook as well! read more

Saturday, May 15, 2021. Ate here today for the first time. Food was pretty good. Not fabulous or great just okay. We tried two other places first (Cask & Cleaver and Steer 'n Stein) that we really wanted to go to for lunch today but unfortunately both of them were closed so we decided to try Kickback Jacks. Not impressed. Would we eat here again? Probably not. Nothing special about this place at all. It's kinda like a Denny's. We didn't realize that going in. Kickback Jacks is more of a family type of restaurant. We didn't know. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not what we were wanting. Best Cinnabons around! Muffins are huge! Breakfast and food is great! Pretty crowded but that is to be expected.

The Portions here are completely ludicrous. You definitely do not need to order any sides. My breakfast burrito was pretty solid and I like that it came with rice and beans. But I think it'd been sitting under a heat lamp for a bit and cheese sauce sort of congealed. The tortilla could have been griddled a bit too because it was pretty stiff. read more

We use to go to the Claremont location, but that one closed. We happen to run into this location since we moved out to San Bernardino. This place has a much more welcoming feeling with the open look & lots of natural lighting But the lady's restroom is in need of a much better care. The toilets don't seem to get clean or wipe continuously throughout the day. The sink looks nasty. The lady's restroom is in need of a makeover with a cleaner look. I've been to this restaurant twice in the last 3-4 months. Once during a mid-weekday and then today Saturday. ⁣ ⁣ Neither time was I impressed as the service sucks! ⁣ ⁣ Each time I've been here, they aren't busy and have many tables open. Yet the service sucks?! ⁣ ⁣ Today was the absolute worst. First off no one acknowledged us when we walked in but yet several employees walked past us without so much as a hello. Finally we were acknowledged and placed right by the kitchen which was loud and dishes constantly clattering. ⁣ ⁣ Our waitress passed our table 20 minutes into us waiting, and told us she'd be right with us. 10 more minutes before she finally comes back. 30 minutes to order food is 20 minutes too long. ⁣ ⁣ We order our food. Luckily it came out in a fairly timely manner except for the kids meal. It literally came out 5 minutes after our adult sandwiches arrived. Usually restaurants bring the kids out first. It was only a pancake & scrambled egg. luckily my kiddo had a new book that kept her busy during this time. ⁣ ⁣ Once our food was served, our waitress walked by our table a handful of times, but did not once stop to ask if we needed anything or how we were doing. ⁣Luckikt ⁣ We finished our meals and were waiting for her to show her face so we could get a few boxes and our tab. We never saw her. Finally the manager I believe she might have been stopped by to ask if she could take our empty plates. Of course we said yes and asked for 2 boxes which she brought back relatively quickly. ⁣ ⁣ After Approx 10ish minutes or so, The same woman cake back and asked if we needed anything. We told her we'd like our check. Literally 1 minute later the waitress shows up and hands us our check. My mom has her card in her hand and the waitress says would you like me to take that? My mom says yes that would be great thank you. do off she goes. ⁣ ⁣ Literally 8 minutes go by and there is nothing! I'm looking around trying to find the waiters and can't find any employee. 3 more minutes go by and I stop someone to see if they can inquire about our payment. 4 more minutes go by and the waitress asks if we need anything, we just tell her our card and bill. She acts surprised that no one brought it to us. What?!?!⁣ ⁣ I give this restaurant 3 stars because the food I've had is really good! Everything I've eaten and the people that accompany me love the food. ⁣ ⁣ The first time they were out of all muffins which sucked for a weekday, and that waitress was just as unhelpful as the trip today, but at least she brought our bill timely & refilled our waters without asking. ⁣ ⁣ But something needs to be fine about the quality of service here. During less busy times, there is no reason why I should be there for an hour or more! That's uncalled for. Two words: Big Food. We tried to have breakfast at a local sports bar, but when they tried to tell us that the game we wanted to see would be shown on the Home Shopping Network, we gave up and left. Kick Back Jack was nearby, and we were starving. It's a standard diner-style setup. Service was fast and friendly. The food is big. I mean really big. As in no way could two people finish one breakfast entree. It was tasty (nothing cutting edge, but solid breakfast fare) and the house made muffins were excellent. Heading to Apple Valley from the airport and starving after our zero dark thirty am flight. I found this place on Yelp (duh) and the pictures looked great so off we went. It's a pretty large restaurant. Kinda reminded of of a Black Bear Diner. Since it was a Thursday, the place wasn't to busy. We were greeted and seated at a window booth right away. The hostess was very friendly and our server Jess came shortly after to introduce herself and offered some coffee or water. The menu is really extensive and I honestly wanted to order everything. We settled on the daily specials menu items as they were "smaller" than some of the full size breakfasts. Well I don't know what their idea of "smaller" because these were still really large portions. My daughter got the pancakes, eggs and bacon. Pancakes to light and fluffy and HUGE. You get two of them alone with one scrambled egg and 2 pieces of bacon. I got the half size ham and cheese omelette with sourdough toast. I added some avocado to my omelette because ... why not?! I thought the portion size and flavor Was excellent. So yummy We also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. So good! Biscuits we light and fluffy and the gravy was not to think but not runny. Could have been spicier but that's me. Jess was a fantastic server and took great care of us. Wish this place was in San Jose because we'd be frequent visitors. Don't know what happened with the quality at this location but it was less than satisfactory when i came here this past Sunday morning. We were seated right away, so that was one good thing that came out of our visit. The waitress took a while to come take our order. One of the bus boys got our drink order and brought it out to us. I was actually quite surprised the place wasn't packed like usual on a weekend morning, so i kind of expected better service. My biggest issue with this place was the quality of food that was served. I get it's not five star dining or anything but i ordered the Ham & Cheese crossiant with a side of fruit as well as the cornbread muffin. Upon receiving my food the first thing i noticed was that the fruit looked like it had gone bad. The sliced strawberry on top had obviously seen better days and just looked plain sad and old. Various grapes in the dish were obviously already spoiled and i will say that there when i tried the fruit is honestly tasted like BODY ODOR! I don't know if the cooks messed with the fruit but it did not taste fresh and it really seemed as if someone just rubbed the fruit under their armpits. DISGUSTING! I didn't even eat it after i tasted that and just left it to finish rotting since it already started the process anyways. The cornbread muffin was burned on top. Looks like someone wasn't watching the timer when it was in the oven! That's ok though at least it didn't taste like B.O. So i ate that - definitely a alot to eat. It is quite large so that's a plus. The texture was good and it wasn't dry so props to them for doing that right! As for the Ham and Cheese crossiant, it was alright. Nothing special but then again i didn't expect a WOW factor from a basic item. The cheese wasn't all fully melted on the food but it's really nothing to complain about. Overall i'd say it did the job, the ham was piled high so they definitely weren't stingy with that! Maybe i just came on a bad day for them? Usually their food tastes alot better when i visit here. I'll just say it was an off day. But next time i will definitely NOT order the fruit. I'll just stick to pancakes or waffles. Something that can't really be messed up. Two stars just because I'm still willing to give them another try. Or else i'd straight up give one star. read more

This place is always one my Favorite go to spots, they never disappoint as far as service, food, hospitality and experience they bring you while dining in their establishment! I ordered Chilaquiles, scrambled eggs top notch with pancake on the side and My Wife ordered the Bahama Mama skillet, both big sized plates, with the Attitude they (Kickback Jack) brings A Go big or Go Home mentality with what they serve portion wise.
