We ate here again as we do like the place and the feel of it. Just wishing they can get their act a little more together. Service was extremely slow, ( we ate early and the place wasn't that busy). We ordered cocktails and then we find out (one at a time), they couldn't make mine (I'm not really sure why), then the other cocktail from there cocktail list -they ran out of ingredients....like really?? My appetizer was ok, was hoping for it to be a little better (the shrimp & polenta). We also had olives and the baked Brie. Entrees 2 pork chops, mine was a little thinner than our guest. He really enjoyed it; I did as well as I got closer to the bone it was better. The first couple of bites seemed to be dry. We also had the lamb shank and a burger to go with our Black Stallion Cabernet. We will be back again supporting local independent restaurants. I do wish they had 1/2 stars, I would then give it 3.5.

We were greeted by the hostess, who was very sweet and seated us immediately. The Brie and bread appetizer platter was incredible. The crab and cheese dip was also great 9/10. I ordered the 4oz medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. For dessert the carrot cake was phenomenal. I definitely recommend for a quality family dinner or dinner date. I definitely can't wait to return:)

Came here on our last night in Lewes. Was really looking forward to this as I enjoyed Half Full two nights ago. We were seated shortly after waiting, at a table close to the kitchen. We weren't super hungry so we just got entrees. We were given bread while we waited, which we were told was just Texas toast because they were out of their regular bread. So it was just basically cut up pieces of white bread. Probably better off to not serve any bread at all. We got our entrees, the veggie pasta and the flounder. Pasta was pretty good but the flounder was unremarkable. The broccolini was super good though and it was the redeeming part of the dish. The cooked tomatoes were good too! The garlic crusted flounder was okay but was a bit bland and the rice was oddly sweet and borderline disgusting. I couldn't eat it, which is unlike me, as I hate wasting food but it just tasted so icky. The worst part about this place was that the waitress just wasn't really friendly and seemed disengaged and rushed. But it really wasn't that busy. Most people working there were frowning all night. The manager came to check on us and was friendly enough but also seemed like a formality and an empty gesture. Everyone else was just very uninterested, it seemed. I'm really not one who needs a lot but it was noticeable. Overall, the place was just not for us. Maybe good for some, but not us.

We have never tried this restaraunt before. We were pleasantly surprised! The service was good. The filet sandwich was cooked perfectly. The chicken soup was fantastic- so flavorful! The fig hazelnut salad was delicious and dressed perfectly. The baked Brie app was simple, yet delicious! We will definitely be returning!! So glad we finally tried this place!!

omg we had the loveliest dinner here. We were so hungry looking for a restaurant and just went in Kindle because it was the closest restaurant to us, and it was such a pleasant surprise. Warm ambient atmosphere, super attentive staff, and great food and drinks. I remeber we got a despacho and it was good but not suited to our taste, and the amazing server saw us not finishing it, and just took it off our bill. WTH. it was just so nice of them the rest of the meal we wolfed down, it was amazing. I'f highly recommend eating here. Good for dates, groups, families. Free parking on the streets around (night time).

The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food. The guacamole? Absolutely next-level -- fresh, creamy, perfectly seasoned, and served with crispy chips that were just the right amount of salty. We couldn't stop dipping! But the real star of the show was the coconut, pineapple, jalapeño chicken. Sweet, spicy, tangy, and full of bold flavor in every bite. It's one of those dishes you think about long after you leave. The wings were another knockout -- crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and tossed in sauces that hit every flavor note you could want. And nothing goes better with all of that than an ice-cold beer, which they have plenty of on tap. Great selection and served frosty -- just the way it should be. We came in with the whole family and everyone had an amazing time. Lively but not too loud, upbeat without being overwhelming -- it's a place where you can relax, laugh, eat great food, and feel totally comfortable. Highly recommend -- we'll definitely be back!

Steak and Cake Special with a Canal View…read more Tried Harbor in Lewes, Delaware, located right along the canal in the downtown district, and it definitely leans toward the upscale side of dining in town. As soon as you walk in, you can feel that polished, higher end atmosphere, and the canal views make for a really nice setting. I went during the off season in early March and caught their Wednesday night Steak and Cake special. For $36 you get a six ounce filet mignon, a crab cake, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a Caesar salad. For a restaurant of this caliber, that's a pretty solid deal. The Caesar salad came out fresh and crisp, and for the first time ever I noticed something you rarely see anymore -- two small sardine strips on top, which is actually the traditional way to serve a true Caesar. The entree was nicely plated. The filet was ordered medium. Parts of it were cooked perfectly and very tender, though a couple bites were a little chewy. The crab cake was the highlight. Very meaty with minimal filler, which is exactly what you want this close to the Delaware coast. Mashed potatoes had that homemade style with a few lumps. Some people love that rustic feel, though I personally prefer them a little smoother. The green beans were simply steamed but had great flavor. Service was excellent. My waitress Kim was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept, including the restrooms. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with great flavor across the board. I'd definitely come back and would be curious to see what the atmosphere is like here during the busy summer season.

For dinner, we had a wonderful seat in the corner with a waterfront view. This is a lovely restaurant. Service was excellent as well. The mussel appetizer was delicious - white sauce with the crusty bread was so good. Crab dip was ok. The lamb shank special was also delicious - meat was braised fork-tender. The mahi mahi special was good, maybe a little dry, but I really enjoyed the bed of wild rice that it was served with, a little chew and lots of rich flavor. The disappointment of the night was the brisket - I suppose after having brisket from Texas, you're forever spoiled and can't help but judge everything to that standard. It was dry and a little tough, not a lot of flavor. Overall highly recommend, this remind one of my favorite Lewes restaurants.

They focus on "whimsical dining" here and it just really shows as a through line through the whole dining experience. We started dinner with two cocktails, they made my extra dirty gin martini beautifully! And it was ice ice cold. My fiancé had their Hoagie-hattan and he really enjoyed it! We had the cheese platter and escargot for our appetizers, the escargot was definitely the star here. So garlicky and warm. Absolutely delicious. I had the lobster ravioli and he had the short ribs. I have never had escargot served this way. The chef is supposedly from nice. I had the hangar steak. And frites. It was good to excellent and $45. A little pricey for a hangar steak but it was copious and I took it home. So I guess that gets a good to excellent but expensive. My two colleagues both hotter short ribs. They were moist and small and surrounded by celeriac purée. The wine was expensive at $16 a glass. So $48 for three large glasses. All in all an ok meal but it cost over $200. I say go get a steak at rare or 1776 or harvest tides. Service was excellent. Ambiance was charming.

As far as dress is concerned, patrons come in jeans and sneakers to business casual and everything in-between. It has a limited menu, but the choices are good. We decided to try the Seafood Quesadilla as an appetizer and to be honest, we both enjoyed it so much, we wish we had ordered it for the main course. The Mrs. had the salmon with rice and veggies of the day. I had the Fish and Chips. Our server, Ashley, was pleasant and attentive. Overall, a nice casual experience.
