    7/7/26 Pho with tendon only
    Jennifer W.

7/7/26 Been here previously with friends & decided to have pho today. Allen was our server again, friendly & pleasant, helpful. Only indoor seating available, good for large groups. Street parking & you may also park at Hawaii Market lot. Lots of to-go orders were being filled as we sat. I ordered pho, tendon only & Hubby ordered #222 Red rice with kalbi bbq ribs--amazing both were HUGE portions. The beef was tender & juicy. My pho was also pretty good but comparing it to my favorite place in Artesia-- it's not as rich or flavorful but pretty good. Will likely return as it's closer to our place. Good experience!

HIDDEN LOCAL GEM!! Love this place!! Got the King broken rice (com tam) 7 items. Amazing portions, had so much food to take home after. One plate is easily 2 meals and affordable pricing. Welcoming servers and they give you complimentary soup too. Lots of seating inside.

Glad I found this restaurant. It has all the dishes, maybe not all, but all the dishes that I love. Some of my favorite dishes they have are: Cơm Tấm Phở Bún Bò Huế Bánh Bèo Nem Nướng Cuốn Cơm Đỏ Gà Rôti Cháo Bánh Canh Bánh Hỏi Chè And more... We end up getting: - Bánh Bèo - Nem Nướng Cuốn - Cơm Tấm King Special Combo (10 Items) - Cơm Tấm Bò Nướng with Chả Giò Tôm - Passion Fruit Drink - Pennywort Drink The staffs here were friendly and welcoming. The place is kinda nice. Nothing too fancy. The dishes that we tried were good. And the drinks were refreshing. Glad we discovered this restaurant. Will definitely come back to try my other favorite dishes.

I found my go to place for com tam! The food was good and flavorful. The food came out quick. I was happy with my Banh Hoi and Korean bbq. My wife has a good plate of thit nuong. All in all a solid 5 for com tam! Parking is hard but you can always park on the opposite side of the street!

This was across the hotel I was at. It had good ratings so I gave it a try. Lots of tables inside. It wasn't full, but lots of customers dining in and picking up. I ordered egg rolls and the Pho Dac Biet. The egg rolls came out first. Fresh from the fryer with lettuce, herbs and the nuoc mam/fish sauce. I ended up fishing that on my own (first meal of the day haha). I was wondering where my pho was. I flagged down the server and he seemingly forgot. He rushed to the kitchen to get that going and it came out within a few minutes. Broth check first. It was light and had flavor. Didn't need to add hot sauce or hoisin sauce. Dressed up the pho with the herbs and went at it. Finished that as well. Pretty extensive menu. Fresh food. Overall, a nice place to grab some Vietnamese food.

This place reminds one of my favorite com tam restaurants. I have tried so many different com tam places in the area and this place gives me bang for a buck. Large portion and the food is also great. Service was also good. They have plenty of tables and clean interior. Highly recommended their special combo.

Still as good as I remember. This is a spot I'd stick with for the dry dishes like rice and noodles. We got it to-go this time and I really enjoyed what we ordered. Bun Cha Hanoi - Always good, and the portions were great (tons of noodles). (5/5) Red Rice Grilled Beef - The rice was flavorful, and the beef had a nice smoky grilled taste. (4.5/5) I'll keep coming back here, it's always good.

This place was suggested by a friend and I am so glad we tried it. I am certain I will be returning again. All the items we ordered were great. The food was tasty with good flavors. The staff was friendly and courteous. The dining space was clean.

I was really craving com tam the other night and decided to come here. I've never actually dined in, but this has been one of my go to spots for good com tam. I always order the King Special which lets you pick your meats. I usually go with the pork chop since it feels the most classic. The plate is huge and pretty much comes with every com tam item they offer, and I like all of them so it works out perfectly. It also comes with soup and honestly the portion is big enough to be 2 to 3 meals for me. I usually call my order in and it's ready by the time I get there which I appreciate. Solid spot for com tam and I know I'll be back again.

Really good food with subpar service you'd expect to find in the 626. The deliciousness of the food outweigh the service by far. They didn't refill our water once and basically ignored us lol The free soup at the beginning is a nice touch and the meat is big. The com tam king deluxe special is seriously so good and huuge in portions. This can be easily shared with two people. Parking is slightly annoying and ended up parking at the Hawaii supermarket lot

Was driving on Valley Blvd the other day and noticed King Com Tam. It's located right next Hawaii Supermarket and if you know you know. The parking lot feels like you're fighting with everyone and it's notorious for getting random dents on your car. I steered clear of this and was able to find street parking along Valley. I had called maybe 20 minutes before coming in to pick up my order and just read their menu numbers back to them to prevent any miscommunications. I ordered the Banh Hoi Bo, Tau Hu Ky which is thin vermicelli paties with grilled beef, bean curd skin with shrimp. There was a good amount of vermicelli patties with my order, I think more than what other places put. The grilled beef was tender and matched perfectly with their fish sauce. I really enjoyed the bean curd skin with shrimp. There was a crunchy piece (not sure what it was) with every bite which added a nice texture. My family ordered eggrolls as an appetizer and the skin had a nice crunch and the filling was delicious. They pack their vegetables and fish sauce on the side. I did sneak a bite of their rice and it was what you would expect com tam to be like. My parents were able to share their King Special Combo with a side of red rice and it was definitely enough food to share between them. They let you pick between their different protein of pork, beef, and chicken.

King Com Tam is a decent com tam spot in the SGV area. I came here with my parents on the weekend. We ate there at around noon and it was definitely busy. However, we were able to grab a table quickly. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. For parking, street parking is usually difficult to grab off of valley. I did park at the Hawaii Supermarket and walked over. My mom, dad, and I all got our own com tam orders. We all enjoy our dishes! This was surprising since my mom tends to think a lot of restaurant orders are on the saltier side. Portions were very generous and we had to even grab a takeout box. I also ordered the Ca Phe Sua Da as well; it was a bit more on the bitter side. There was also a small included and it was okay. Prices came out to be roughly $21.00 per dish. They do not accept American Express. VISA cards were accepted.

Back in October, my friends and I spent a month vacation in Vietnam and we were introduced to Com Tam. We wanted to see if King Com Tam Vietnamese Restaurant is as authentic as we had in Vietnam. Com tam - Vietnamese broken rice is rice that was broken during the milling process. If you're unfamiliar, broken rice has a couscous-like texture. The broken rice plate options might seem extensive, but it's just rice with various combinations of pork chop, beef, pork, fried bean curd with shrimp paste, egg roll, sausage, shredded pork and skin, and steamed egg loaf. All served with veggies, a small bowl of broth, and fish dipping sauce. The plates run from $12.99 to $20.99 for the 10-item plate. If you don't see exactly the plate combination you're looking for, you can just tell the waiter which items you want and they'll charge accordingly. Just ask if you can swap items. Not Vietnam authentic, but then again I am no expert but definitely satisfied our cravings and brought back memories of our month long trip. We loved it so much that a month ago during the rainy weather that we went back so we can try the noodle soup/pho. The portions were generous for around $13.99 a bowl. I was craving Bun bo Hue, Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup and my friends ordered beef pho and hu tieu, a Vietnamese Phnom Penh-style seafood noodle soup with pork and shrimp. It was good but I've had better. Service was good. The ambiance and presentation is spot on.

Obviously you can order in English, but be prepared as it is not a super streamlined experience catering to non-Vietnamese guests. Immerse yourself and prepare for great food. Their eggrolls are made of rice paper which makes for a lighter and airy-er crisp. They are my absolute favorite. I enjoy them in the bun thit nuong cha gio. I absolutely NEED to eat this every time I visit the area. The portions here are enormous so feel free to share. Other stand out items are the banh beo and the com tam/broken rice dish with everything on it. The com tam is to order, so you can feel free to pick out whatever individual elements you like and just order it as com tam with item1 item2 item3 so on. The best imo are the suon nuong/grilled pork chop, bi or shredded pork, and the cha or crispy meatloaf. Each com tam dish comes with of course a mountain of broken rice, pickled veggies, fatty green onions, and a fish sauce based dipping sauce. They also have pandan waffles at the counter which I love. They are not quite as chewy and bouncy as other places, but that's my preference as I like a more traditional waffle texture. Plenty of coconut shavings and coconut flavor.

The broth is perfectly seasoned and really ties the whole bowl together. I always ask to skip the blood cubes and opt for extra pig's feet instead, which they handle perfectly. That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. HOWEVER, neighborhood parking is plentiful and just around the corner past the Sheridan Hotel and Starbucks. Round the corner and you'll find plenty of parking throughout the day.

New Location, Same Curiosity!…read more Decided to give this newer location a try since our first visit to Golden Delight was years ago. I wanted to try their rice noodle soup with a mix of egg noodles and rice noodles, and let me just say... the picture speaks a thousand words. What arrived looked quite different from what was advertised on the menu. Although most of the ingredients were there, it definitely wasn't as pretty or as generously presented as the photos. Rice Noodle Soup (Egg Noodles + Rice Noodles Mixed) Rating: 6.8/10 The soup itself actually wasn't bad! The broth was light, clean, and nicely seasoned without being too heavy. While I enjoyed trying something different, it isn't a dish I'd order again on my next visit. Now let me warn you about their sauté sauce... It is PACKED with flavor but also seriously spicy! I made the mistake of adding a little too much to my noodle soup, and let's just say my taste buds definitely woke up. A little goes a long way, so add it slowly! The restaurant itself is very modern, clean, and has a trendy fusion vibe that makes for a nice dining experience. As much as I appreciate the updated atmosphere, I always find myself gravitating back toward the more traditional, authentic-style Vietnamese restaurants when I'm craving comfort food. Service Unfortunately, the service on our Sunday visit was probably the biggest downside. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't seem interested in explaining the menu when we had a few questions. Instead, she came across as if she was in a rush the entire time, and her overall attitude felt a bit off-putting. It honestly made us feel like we were inconveniencing her just by asking questions. Great service can really elevate a meal, and unfortunately, this experience did the opposite. Between that and the food, it's another reason I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return to this location. Overall, it was a nice spot to try once, but next time I'll probably explore a different dish--and maybe a different location. Happy eats!
