This has to be the most popular breakfast location in Franklin. They do a booming business. There can be a wait on weekends to get a table. But it is worth the wait. I tend to focus on the breakfast side of the menu, but they do offer more. They have all the standard combinations of eggs, pancakes, hash browns and sausage/bacon. They are well prepared and reasonably priced. They also do an excellent job with Eggs Benedict. It is my wife's favorite place for them. Another successful visit here, this place overtakes James Breakfast and Nicky's and even Cracker Barrel as the best breakfast in this area. There is a reason this place is so crowded and the food is hands down the best breakfast you will have in Eastern Mass. Any other review that says otherwise is incorrect. The hasbrowns, egg dishes and even the hash is unreal and the service is pleasant and fast and the crowds keep coming in but the service moves them in and out quickly. I always choose from the roasted veggie (big mix of garden veggies with goat cheese) or the sicilian (italian sausage, mozzarella, and marinara sauce). If you or your kids are into loaded-up pancakes and waffles, they have it all. Blueberry stuffed french toast is very tasty. Plenty of healthy options with fresh veggies available. Big servings. Came here this morning around 11:30. It was packed and there was a 25-30minute wait, which for a Sunday is to be expected and we didn't have an issue with that. As we waited patiently for our table, we observed the hostess be quite rude when new customers came in to put in their names or when waiting customers asking how much longer of a wait they had. When she was just standing she was seen talking to other staff saying some derogatory words about people whether it was about a worker or customer, we have no idea. As a cook in a busy breakfast restaurant and my fiancé being a server and FOH manager, we were appalled by that behavior as being a hostess, you are representing the establishment. We were finally seated and started looking over the menu. After a few minutes go by we were dropped silverware and napkins in a pile and told by our server he would be back in a minute. We set our own silverware and 2 minutes later our server took our drink order and then our food after our drinks were delivered. Food was served in a timely manner. No problem with that. My fiancé asked for wheat toast but was given raisin toast that she never ate. Had our server came back to check on us after we got our food, we would have gotten that issue fixed. We ate our food and once we were finished one of the managers came and cleared our plates for us. We waited yet 6 minutes after finishing our food to be noticed by our server that we were ready for our check. To which he had a conversation with the table behind us and another couple of people waiting before our check finally came to the table. The food overall was ok. Nothing impressive. I was pretty bummed that the corned beef hash was canned and not homemade. Which making homemade corned beef hash is quite simple, but I guess their focus is on other things beside cooking a corned beef and chopping it up. As for returning, it is a possibility. I would hope that some of the issues we experienced will be addressed and taken care of which by the looks of other reviews seems to be a trend. read more

I was honestly looking for a reason not to give it 5 stars because it takes a lot to WOW me. However, this place absolutely earned the stars. I was in a hurry to eat breakfast and needed a good meal that was super fast. I walked in and was immediately seated. As soon as I sat down, I order my drinks and since I'd already looked at the menu online, I ordered my food. In between the very short time I received my drinks and food, the server came by to check on my coffee. About 5 minutes after I ordered my food, it arrived. I ordered the Eggs Benedict wih Ham, hollandaise sauce, and home fries. Everything tasted delicious. I was a little skeptical that my food arrived so fast, but it was tasted fresh and hot. Great food and great service! I am out of town and came here for breakfast after a 7 mile run. I ordered the country omelet with home fries and an iced coffee. It was DELICIOUS!! My friend had their special cheese sauce and I ate it with my country fries. The omelet was amazing and consisted of sausage, mushrooms, peppers and cheese. My other friend had chocolate chip pancakes that looked like perfection on a plate. My iced coffee was perfect. Not too watery and not too strong and very smooth. The prices here are great for what you get... Which is A LOT of food! I had a huge 3 egg omelette, country fries and four pieces of toast for under $10. My iced coffee was 21oz and was only $2.99. Their breakfast menu is so consistently delicious that I'm never afraid to stray from my favorite. That'd be the Banana Split Waffle, it's awesome. Their homefries are always fully cooked and crispy. The place is open and clean. It attracts screaming children. So go early morning or late afternoon to avoid the kid corral that it tends to be. Waitstaff is fairly attentive, but there have been times that I waited for my coffee for far too long. Plenty of windows that leave you open to the outside temperature. So stay away from the window side if you're here in the winter. read more

The poached eggs were nice and runny, but the corned beef was straight out of a can. My husband has an omelet with baked beans; the beans were also from a can and the omelette probably made of fake eggs. It was good in a pinch for breakfast out, but I think this would be a last-ditch option next time we need a greasy meal. +Big enough that you don't have to wait if you're a late riser. -When you cross the threshold to the bathrooms, things get DIRTY. I'm sadly surprised at the lack of good diners in this general area. For shame. It was soo packed even on a weekday late morning that we had trouble finding parking in the fairly large lot. This place seems like it used to be a AAA office a long time ago- just a hunch but definitely doesn't look like a diner from first glance. Place is clean, seating is plentiful and the high ceiling is much more spacious than a little greasy spoon type of place, I'd say that was the most pleasant aspect of dining here. Even though it was busy , it wasn't out of control loud and seating was open enough where you aren't stacked on top of other people and hearing every word of their conversations. Staff is friendly and attentive. Coffee was so/so. They do seem to carry a large amount of special plates each day, and i had a veggie frittatta, he had his classic meat, eggs taters dealie. We split a waffle cause they looked good. Overall I'll say this - the food ingredients and preparation were both fresh and filled the void, but all of it lacked any real taste. Both of us covered our food in salt, pepper and hot sauce to add to it. We were in and out in less than an hour and on our way. This place has the best breakfast of all the places I have ever been, The portions are huge and very tasty. We had breakfast there yesterday and the omelets are good for 2 meals. It is not a fancy place but the service is very good and the prices are competitive. The one issue we have is that they use tiny coffe cups and you have to ask for lots of refills. We went here as people raved but arent we in a pandemic? If you visited this restaurant today, like we did, you would notice they weren't following the rules. We were seated and the service was good and our waitress was friendly. The food came fast, but after trying the pancakes, we were not impressed. This is a tough place to write about because there are so many factors that greatly affect the quality of this place. It's one of those places that if you don't have exceedingly high expectations you'll be pretty satisfied. First off, the breakfast is pretty damn good. They know how to do eggs, they're corned beef hash is great, and their portions are HUGE. You certainly get your money's worth with the food. However, I would only strongly recommend their breakfast. The lunch/dinner food is a bit greasy and either bland or just kind of messy. It isn't awful though, I personally just think they do a great job with their breakfast. The only issue is the service, which isn't terrible but isn't great either. If they're swamped, good luck. Table turnover is actually pretty quick and they seem to do a good job getting everyone seated fairly quickly, but it seems that the waiter will disappear for a long amount of time and it'll be left wondering whether or not your water is ever going to arrive. Everyone is really nice though. I honestly do not believe the reviews that say that the staff was rude to them, because they are not rude people at all. Now the only reason I'm harsh about the staff is because I know that they are super great when they actually try to be. I am not quite certain why this place gets raving reviews. I have been here twice now and both times I have walked in to sour faces standing behind the counter. The service is NOT friendly- I ordered water and got a perceptible sigh. Today it's 28 degrees outside and about 45 in here. I was ignored when I mentioned it was freezing, when the customers behind me mentioned it, they got a "oh, it's cold in here?". Funny as the servers are all wearing sweatshirts and rubbing their hands together to keep warm. Now for the food, my chicken salad last time was sour, will never order it again. Today I ordered the Portobello Benny, mushroom is good, eggs were hot when I got it, but the home fries are deep fried as I have little tiny fried things everywhere. There is a lot of food though, I will give them that. Hollandaise is ok, not home made, but good. I guess I may come back for breakfast if I am in a pinch- but definitely not a first choice! The poached eggs were over cooked so I didn't get that lovely egg yolk spilling down onto the hash and English muffin which was disappointing. I could have sent it back but was in a hurry and chose not to. The hash was good but I wasn't impressed with the hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were deep fried and had a spice blend that I really didn't care for. All I could taste was fried and spice. I've been here a couple of times and have enjoyed the food each time. Most recently, I was here on Christmas Eve with my family and the experience was pleasant enough. My asparagus/avocado/mushroom omelet was tasty, though not as flavorful as I had hoped. The home fries were FANTASTIC! I feel as though this should be their trademark. The server was polite, neither feigning exuberance - the place was very busy - nor showing signs of being frazzled. Quite professional.
