The bread was microwaved to the point that it was hard and chewy in some parts :(. My chop steak was a huge burger and salty the potato soup was alright and so were the mashed potatoes that came with my meat. I was very disappointed because I asked for medium rare but it was not pink because it was not a steak! I will not eat here again. read more

I was in town so I stopped in on a recommendation I ordered a salad with grilled steak with thousand island dressing and a side order of calamari. my order came and it had ranch dressing on the side instead no big deal the waitress got my thousand dressing but the calamari didn't look like a traditional calamary you know the rings and technicals breaded and fried these were sticks like mozzarella stick shaped. I mentioned it to the waitress and she told me they were calamari. so I tried it it tasted okay because it was fried. I took off the breading to look inside and it looks like that pollack fish that is pressed into shape. I ran out of marinara sauce so I asked her for some more she brings me cocktail sauce instead so I tell her this is not marinara sauce it is cocktail sauce it seem to have annoyed her but she did bring me marinara sauce but it was cold. My husband and I came here the other night. I ordered the Delmonico with a baked potato and my husband ordered the Porterhouse with a sweet baked potato. Both of our steaks were cooked exactly the way that we wanted them and the new building is very gorgeous. Our service was perfect as always, and we left extremely happy. I contacted the corporate manager Heather Heath, after going to Kingman chophouse in Kingman Arizona to celebrate both my daughter and my brother's birthdays. My brother who generally eats meat for every meal, ordered a rib eye..... If you aren't familiar with meat cuts THEN I highly recommend Kingman chophouse for your next waste of your money dining out while in Kingman. What my brother received was NOT rib eye. We called the waitress she called the 'manager' stacy carillo, she didn't look at the steak she simply looked at us and said it's a rib eye and just continued to look at us. While she INSISTED it was a rib eye.... and offered nothing to make our experience a GOOD one then just walked away. All the wait staff and cooks, were hanging out at the bar while were were there. I have actually gone back for a second dose of awful, and couldn't finish my meal because the food was cold.... again there was everyone (staff) at the bar.... makes sense to me - they are supervised by a person who has more regard for her ringlets than her customers....... read more

I had a new york with an add-on of a lobster tail and a baked potato for dinner. The lobster tail smelled fishy as it came to the table. It was cooked right, but the flavor of the lobster tail was off. It tasted fishy and of saltwater, no mild sweetness whatsoever. When reported to the waitress, she gave me a blank look and explained she had no idea what it was supposed to taste like. She made no offer to remove it from my bill. The taste made it inedible for me. The steak was okay. It was barely seasoned. Again, cooked to order correctly, but overall it was blah. The potato was underdone and not fluffy at all. The food was excellent, the service lightning fast, and Stacey the waitress was very quick, completely accurate, and extremely pleasant and friendly. I being old had the senior chop steak with mushrooms. For a senior portion it was generous. The salad was fresh and crisp. The veggies perfectly prepared. My wife had the grilled chicken, couldn't finish it. Ambiance is genuine cowboy, don't expect a golden finger bowl. All the folks working were welcoming and pleasant. And, the prices quite reasonable. Give this place a try if you are driving I 40. read more

We ordered pasta with shrimp which was prepared with butter and garlic and also the baby back ribs. To start the pasta was flat like it had been cooked days ago, we asked the waitress if it was freshly cooked and she said it was made at noon and then reheated. Really can't make fresh pasta, who is asking for fast food.? You could also pour the butter and oil off the dish. Now to the ribs, just go to Chili's you'll have better ribs at half the price, they are not the fall of the bone ribs I love. read more

well i'am from kingman but had to move to California because my brother died and we use to go eat there and loved it well went to vist this july and I always ordered the chicken with the jack daniels baebaque sauce it was so yummy but went especially to get that dish it was so bad no longer had that barba que sause the chicken was so dry they had sweet ray's bar ba que sauce it was so horrible it was so sad i'll never return there again use to be my favorite place but very disappointed read more

we had gone to the old Kingman steakhouse many times and had their lunch salmon. soooo good. A nice sweet and sort of crusty jack daniels grilled, and no bones, ever. We went for my birthday last week and it was awful. salmon was hard, no taste, lots of little bones. never again. they sure lost something when they moved and changed the name. I did get a free slice of cheesecake when the waitress found out it was my birthday. but they lost a salmon customer for sure. sad read more

Save your money folks. Worse meal I have had in a long time. I ordered bacon wrapped filet with shrimp, it was as thin as a sirloin, over cooked, tough as leather, no flavor, and to make matters worse, thin cheap bacon. The jumbo shrimp were not no jumbo, also tough, and tasted fishy. To top it all off, the "fresh bread" was rubbery, and definitely microwaved. My husband had the ribeye delmonico, and that was also a thin mediocre piece of meat, better than the filet, but I can make a better ribeye and filet at home, for a lot cheaper. I've been to many steak houses, and don't mind paying for a great meal, but this one, I'll never go back to.. read more

I really wanted to like this place, since I travel through Kingman at least once or twice a month. But the service was terrible, the beer coming out of the tap was all foam and they had no clue how to fix it, and most importantly the ribeye wasn't. Never had a ribeye that was paper thin. Very rude service from the time we walked in. Male host with glasses was extremely rude noting my son is to lazy to look at his own menu to find his drink order. Waitress was told our food was cool when delivered and asked for drink refills which she ignored until finally the owner came over and found out about our terrible service. Well, once again we went there for breakfast and once again they weren't open when their sign said, 7am. This is the third time we have tried to eat breakfast there and they weren't open in the specified time. We even waited 20 minutes once. I wrote the manager/owner a letter and never got a reply. Heard wonderful things about this place and decided to give it a try. We arrived around 5:15 pm on a Sunday evening. There were only two other tables there on the other side of the restaurant and for some reason, our service was bad. It always irks me when a place is nearly empty and you get a server that basically only shows up to take your order and then deliver it. The bartender did a great job on mixed drinks. My family and I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip-the bread was great, could have used more dip for the price. We also had a chicken Caesar salad and the whiskey glazed salmon. The salad was ok, the dressing was a bit too salty and I suppose you don't come to a steak house and order salmon, right? It tasted like a frozen filet. My son had the mac and cheese which was the best part about our meal. Our entire order was one app, four mixed drinks, a chicken salad ($13.00), a seafood entree ($25.99 for my salmon), and a kid's mac and cheese. I do not mind paying for good food and excellent service. I felt the food was over-priced and just ok on top of terrible service. We were traveling through Kingman and stopped here for dinner with our family and everyone had an excellent meal. The bread served while you waited on your meal was fresh out of the oven. The potato skin appetizer was great--large potato halves and loaded with cheese. We ordered the NY Strip, filet mignon, Cajun chicken breast and grilled chicken breast and all were perfectly cooked. The chicken was still moist, not dried out as it can be when grilled. Our waitress, Brooke, was great--asked if everyone's meal was cooked as desired and actually waited to hear our answer. She specifically inquired if the chicken was still moist and not dried out. The chicken portion was huge--10 oz at least. The steaks had great flavor and were very tender. Service was very fast throughout the meal and Brooke was attentive throughout without being overly intrusive. Prices were very reasonable for portion sizes. We did not notice any loud CW music mentioned by the previous reviewer, so I assume they are trying to improve based on customer's comments. The service has always been bad here. Other then the bald gentleman, everyone else is very obvious to the customers. The only reason I continued to return is because the food was good. We went for breakfast three weeks ago, ordered steaks and waited for about 20 mins. After waiting, our waitress came out and told us that they had run out of steaks. She didn't offer us anything, and was actually pretty rude. I talked to the manager and was given a 25 dollar gift card. We returned last weekend. I ordered my sirloin medium and the lady ordered hers medium rare. Both steaks came out medium well. We obviously complain. Second round of steaks come out medium rare and very rare. Almost purple looking. We complain again, but just eat the food anyways. The waitress is not concerned with compensating us by any means. I saw something and she offers us a soda. I wish we had more options in Kingman, because if so, I would never return here again. read more

My friends and I decided we would try the new steak house in town. When we arrived, no one greeted us for quite a long time. Finally, a young man asked us how many in our party. We told him 3 and he said someone would seat us soon?? We waited at least another 10 minutes and finally were seated. No one came to our table for a good 10 minutes to take just our drink order. After another long period of time, our waitress came to get our order. One of my friends ordered a ribeye, the other, shrimp and I ordered Pasta primavera with alfredo. The waitress told my one friend, "We are out of shrimp." Disappointed, my friend ordered something else. My other friend that ordered the steak asked for a baked potato. The waitress replied "We are out of potatoes. Disappointment again. After the waitress left, no one filled up our water glasses or asked if we needed a refill. After about 20 minutes, the waitress came out and notified me "We are out of alfredo!" I was finished! I asked to speak to the manager, who came to our table apologizing and I stopped her. I told her that the service was terrible, the staff inattentive and asked "how do you run a restaurant when you are out of everything?" I told the manager that she didn't have enough staff to supply the patrons and the prices were very high considering the service. The manager told me that they did have enough wait staff but one of them had gotten married that night and most of the staff was at the reception. I then told her, as a manager, that was a scheduling issue on her part. She gave us a $30 gift card to try them again. My friends and I decided we would give it a shot and when on Sunday for the steak and eggs. Surprise, same poor service, inattentive staff and excuses. My friends and I will NOT be back. Hadn't been to the Chophouse since it was the Kingman Co. Steakhouse on Stockton Hill road so I thought I would try it and see if they improved. The answer is NO they haven't improved. Ordered a 14 oz New York medium rare with steak fries and a side of the vegetables. Meal came with a salad and basket of bread. Salad had fresh looking greens but was literally swimming in blue-cheese dressing which is a run of the mill shelf dressing. Bread looked good but was warmed in the microwave as it was nothing but a piece of rubber. Steak fries are obviously from frozen and were passable although they could have been hotter and crispier. The vegetables are likely from a frozen bag and consisted of carrots, broccoli, and zucchini. The carrots were overcooked to mush as was the zucchini which was slimy and dry at the same time. The broccoli was rubbery (i.e. microwaved) and the entire dish was bland and only luke-warm at best. You would think a place that specializes in steaks would know how to cook them perfectly every time; but, alas this is not the case. I ordered the steak medium rare and it came to the table very rare with a cool raw center. The overall consistency of the degree of doneness was poor as the steak was cooked far too long on one side versus the other. At a "good" steakhouse, the steak will be cooked evenly throughout and equally on both sides and this was NOT the case at the Chophouse. They claim to age their beef for 21 days which should impart a nice depth of flavor to the beef and this steak, while tender, lacked any such depth of flavor. I grew up in South Dakota eating quality raised and aged beef and fully know what a good aged steak should taste like and the Chophouse steak doesn't even come close. Service was average at best and although the new location and décor are an improvement; I don't understand why they brought the old "brickhard" booths from the old location. They really brought the "new" down several notches. New paint can't cover up the overall shoddiness of the food and the quality of food and level of service fail to match the prices they are asking. Save you money. Best steak I ever had in a Kingman restaurant was the New York from Mattea's. Won't ever be back to this one! read more
