This was our second time in Kirby's in the space of the month where the service was horrible and we walked out! This used to be one of my favorite places to go. We waited ten minutes for a waitress to acknowledge us and take our drink order. 15 minutes after that still no drinks so we took our business elsewhere. read more

I'm just going to say it: I've never had better service in my life. This is probably the 6th or 7th time we've been here and every single time the food is delicious and the service is amazing. Tonight, Jordan M. was our server. She was fantastic. Made great recommendations on beer and food. Made my kids smile (even in their grumpy moments) and made tonight a lot of fun. I had a spinach artichoke chicken, because I just can't quit it. Delish as usual. Hubby had the mushroom Swiss chicken and it was great as well (although he didn't offer me a bite!) Kirby's is a great neighborhood restaurant/bar with a menu that exceeds expectations. Their fish and chips or fish platter is top notch, burgers excellent, and if you have never had Sky Galley Chicken you are truly missing an excellent dish. Literally my only complaint (and I've had the experience 3 times) is when you are sitting at the bar service can be slow. It's almost like some of the bartenders can be distracted with sometimes 10 mins between ordering a drink and delivery. Went in and sat at the bar. There were 3 or 4 other people at the bar also.Sat down and waited for the barmaid. Wanted to order something to eat and a draft beer. She walked by me 3 times and didn't even look at me to where i could get her attention. I sat for a few more minutes and watched her drink bottled beer with her friends at the other end of the bar. I got up and left. I've been there several times and it's almost always hard getting service at the bar. I really don't like leaving a bad review, but i felt as though i should let them know and the patrons thinking about going there. read more

We've been here a few times. The good news is the staff is very nice and friendly. It is a nice environment and conveniently located right off of the Loveland Bike Trail. The bad news is I think the food sucks my wife nor myself have never really enjoyed what we have gotten. I think it's a little overpriced for the quality. And the cocktails are very poor. I really hate to give bad reviews to businesses but I'm trying to be honest but also constructive for the business if they read these posts. Staff was very accommodating, even for our party of 11 with short notice! Food was delicious and it wasn't too loud so it was easy to have a conversation. Decor is unique and comfortable. Kids enjoyed their meals and the pretzels sticks. Overall very nice experience, we will return! read more

Love the atmosphere, the service and the food. Friday before Christmas, packed to the gills and food and service were excellent. I had the Cajun grouper on rye - grouper was delicious. Accompanied by tater tots - who doesn't love tots! Others at our table had the salmon, spaghetti and meat balls, grouper fingers, and the Kirby burger. Clean plates all around. The food was okay for bar food but the service was incredibly slow even though there were plenty of open tables. We waited for food for about 35 minutes and our server was MIA the entire time. Our water glasses sat empty. When the server finally appeared, he told us the kitchen was slow but immediately returned with our food. I have been here many times and really don't know why i waited until now to review it. Very good food with a better than average beer selection. Pretzels are awesome! Chicken and Fish Tender baskets are made just the way they should be made, light crispy breading that it done in house. Simple food made right! The salads are fresh and nice sized. Anything and everything is good here. The owner is around regularly and is very nice. Johanna (the server) is our favorite person there. She is always so nice to us and is so happy to see us (as we are her). I recommend anything on the menu. So much better than the creepy place there before. read more

I don't believe in having children in a bar and there were a lot of families with children. We had the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks which were good. The loaded fries had burnt bacon and very little flavor. I had the Chicken Tenders and tator tots. The menu states " No one does them better period!" I beg to differ! The breading was not seasoned and it was very greasy! The Tenders were very small and all I could taste was the grease! read more

We love Kirbys food and I've never had poor service until last night by Jordann. We were eager to share the Loveland staple with our parents, they had never been. I was so embarrassed by the behavior of the bartender/server she nearly ruined our entire time. She slammed our drinks and plates in front of us every time she came to the table. Her impatience was relentless. I asked her what beers were on tap and her reply was " we have 25" I said " ok, I guess I'll have a Stella since that's the only handle I can see" guess what, I bartend as well! And when MY customer need help making a decision I try to ask the right questions if I " don't feel like" listing the 25 beers on draft. BUT I think the worst part of it all was when she took the order from the next table and took down her mask and WIPED HER NOSE WITH HER HAND! I was so disgusting I couldn't believe it. And just so we are all clear I'm not just being a Karen, I had a conversation with another customer that was also appalled by Jordann and we were trying to wait for the blonde girl to take care of us. The customer actually closed her tab with Jordann to go with the blonde. I didn't get much service from the blonde but she was so awesome and up beat. She was running all over, super busy but was polite the entire time. I tipped her separately cuz without her it would have been worse. read more

First time ever in a Kerby and it was delicious. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with tater tots. I couldn't eat all the sandwich because it was so big, loved it. There are some definite pros and cons to this restaurant. Walking in, we were greeted warmly by the hostess and showed to a table by the windows overlooking Bridge Road. The table seating was not comfortable enough for a leisurely dinner - hard metal chairs and wooden topped tables. The music was extremely loud and as such, diners at other tables had to shout to each other. The table behind us (party of 2) mentioned it to their waitress, who offered to turn it down but it never happened. The food was very tasty - I recommend the grouper basket and the side order of broccoli was fresh and delicious, not overcooked and bland like in other restaurants. The kid's menu was okay, my daughter preferred the applesauce to her pasta but that may just be the 3 year old in her. My husband had a nice looking burger but the lettuce and tomato looked like it had seen better days. Our waitress did not tell us the specials, etc. like the other waitresses around us but she was nice, kept our beverages filled, and brought us extra napkins without being asked. Parking lot is a bit difficult to navigate so if you have a big car, get there early or park on the street. read more

Good bar food. Can't go wrong with grouper or burgers. This is my grandma's favorite little joint but she's hard to get out of the house so we often get takeout. It always holds up well and service is good for dine in and take out. Also, LOL-ing at those saying it's overpriced. It's like 11 bucks for nearly any sandwich, wrap or burger. I'm really not sure why there's only one review that's 5 stars. My husband & I moved to loveland at the end of October and Kirby's was one of the first local places we visited. Our first visit my husband had the blackened chicken wrap which he loved (I have tried it as well...so good!) and I went safe trying the chicken fingers. Safe turned out to be amazing. These were the best chicken fingers I've ever had. The breading is light not greasy at all. So far everything we have tried there has been wonderful. In fact I took my friends there for dinner when they came to visit us after we moved down here. They all loved it! It seems the other reviewers may have had a bad experience and chose not to give the place another chance which is unfortunate. I've worked in food service for 7 years and speaking from experience, sometimes you just have a bad day. It happens...not just in the restaurant industry either. You can't please everyone unfortunately. As I said, my husband & I have visited Kirby's many times in the last few months and we plan on enjoying it more once the weather gets nicer. Yes, they're prices are a bit higher compared to say, McDonald's - if that's what you're used to. However I don't feel like they're much higher than going to a place like Chili's...except the quality of the food & portions are much better. read more

My wife and I were disappointed with the rubbery Chicken Creole - not fully cooked no flavor at all, then I asked for the chicken salad sandwich as a replacement and it had no flavor - not good, not to mention that they were late on getting us water and also small salad as well.
