I'm very surprised that I have yet to review Kirimachi, considering I visit this establishment 1-2 times a week with my colleagues. A true Japanese gem in the Financial District. Location: directly at Embarcadero 3, where FedEx is, and semi-outskirt close to the park. The interior is quite simple with floor to ceiling windows and picnic bench seating in the center with dual seaters by the windows. We normally try to come early to beat the crowds, and to our surprise - this eatery gets crazy busy. The Food: where do I start? I've been coming here for over a year now and only on a weekly basis. As the name suggests, this is a Japanese eatery, primarily ramen and rice bowls. What do we order? As said in the previous paragraph, we often visit this eatery, primarily for lunch. To an extent, the owner remembers our individual orders along with Mexican coca-cola and an order of gyoza. My usuals are; if I feel like having soup, their Vegan Ramen is sublime - the broth is full of umami, paired with pickled toppings, and the best part, a handsome amount of fresh made ramen noodles. I always leave full from the noodles alone. Their Gyudon is a must try, perfectly beefy with sweet and savory seasoning on a bed of hot Japanese rice; yum! My colleagues will almost always ask for their Shoyu Ramen, which comes with a delicious topping of cha-shui and marinated soy egg. I've had this ramen too, and it's delectable as well. An order of gyoza, is 6 dumplings; it's usually classic pork and on rare occasions we'd be served a chicken version - both are delicious. This is not by any means a fancy or white globe service restaurant, but that the food does teleport your taste sensations to Japan. I've eaten at Mensho and Ippudo, which are on a franchise spectrum in addition to extremely popular Marufuku, but that I would very much rather get ramen from Kirimachi. You won't regret eating here.
Came in here on a rainy day and I suggest you do the same. I ordered the Ramyun which included pork, vegetables, half an egg, noodles, miso, and spicy broth. Spice level is what I consider as 5/10. Very manageable and delicious. The pork was tender and fatty, the egg was cooked perfect and the homemade noodles were immaculate. The woman who helped us, I assumed to be one of the owners, was extremely kind and helpful. She greeted us, sat us down, took our order, and checked on us. The space is cozy and inviting. Very cool wall art and large tables for bigger groups. Parking could be difficult if trying to do street parking but embarcardo center does have parking garages.
Originally I wanted to come here to try their Unagi Don, but they were sold out by 5 PM :( Instead, I tried their Chuuka Men, which had a pleasant citrus flavor. The yuzu wasn't too strong and elevated the broth a lot. I was expecting it to be pretty heavy, but it had more of an oil base. It would coat the mouth, but didn't make me feel greasy. They specialize in chicken broth, so it is much lighter than the typical Tonkotsu I go for. The noodles were cooked really well and they were generous with their chashu and green onions. The jammy soft-boiled egg was especially impressive! Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here... but it was a nice meal to have with a friend :) Customer service was very kind and quick. Lots of seating inside.
This was such a great start to my time in SF. Me and a coworker decided to stop in here for lunch after our flight. It was just a short walk from our hotel. We went in right after it opened, and we were the only ones there. We were seated immediately and ordered right away. I had ramen with porkbelly and it was delicious. The bowl was so filling, I couldn't finish all of it, but I wished I could! By the time we left and went to another store, and came back to pass the restaurant, it was packed, so we came in and ate at the right time! I hope to travel back to SF to try this place again.
This is an interesting ramen place that only serves chicken broth ramen with pork on top, which I don't think I've had before. I got the Tori Paitan, the chicken broth equivalent of Tonkotsu ramen. The broth was delicious and the noodles were nicely al dente, but the pork meat was a bit hard and dry. The service was excellent--our waitress described the different dishes to help us order, and she came by multiple times to ask how the food was and whether we needed anything. Overall, I would come here again to try their Duck Truffle ramen (they were sold out), and see if the meat quality improves on my second visit.
Had been walking around in the cold and was craving some warmth. Found this ramen shop and was overall very happy ! I can be pretty picky about my ramen noodles. These had a little less chew than I like and a little more cooked but they held up in the hot broth well and I would order again. The Shio broth had perfect balance of flavor. I wish the meat was a little more tender but overall good- I think it's just sliced pork (maybe like tenderloin) not your fatty Chāshū meat or pork belly like I normally enjoy. My boyfriend got the chukamen which had a almost teriyaki - soy- dashi flavor. It was good as well but I liked mine better. They add yuzu to it which is a fun brightening note ! Also got the karrage - not the typical breading (not Panko) but it was cooked really well and tender. Overall I would go back if I was in the area
Heard of this place from a friend. Decided to check it out a while back. Now I find myself eating here very often! All ramens are great. The special menu varies. For example, uni ramen, though not available anymore, was awesome! You get a few big pieces of uni and a large chunk of crab meat topped on tender noodle and miso soup. I initially thought the portion looked small but when I finished, it was just right. The flavor could have been a little bit stronger for some disges, but I have always been satisfied with the quality of the meals overall. At noon, one often needs to add themselves on the waiting list. But, the restaurant was relatively empty at late lunch time. I love the ambiance and a short walk from public transport. Sad it's not open during weekend!
In town for a work trip on a rainy night. I dreaded finding a reasonable place for dinner since I was staying at the Hyatt Regency. I figured between the Financial district and the tourist traps my options would be limited. Was delighted to find Kirimachi on Yelp and it did not disappoint. I got the Tori Paiten which is a thick chicken broth. It was recommended when I said I like thick broths such as tonkotsu and Tsukemen. The broth was a thick flavorful broth, el dente noodles and all the usual sides. It was the best bowl of ramen I've had in a while! And we have plenty of competition in LA!!
Found this great Ramen restaurant while visiting SF for a conference. Enjoyed a wonderful meal in a classy yet casual indoor dining with great efficient service at a lunch hour. Located in Embarcardero and parking is limited on the street with meters or basement ticket parking structure. Upon arrival, was seated in good time. I appreciated the vegetarian options. The salad was bright and fresh. The ramen had a flavorful comforting broth. Loved all the veggies. Definitely a place to dine for Ramen!
I got a bit lost trying to find this place! Kirimachi Ramen is located at the 3 Embarcadero Center and you can enter from Clay street or follow the signs while you're in the center to find the other entrance (which is what I did). It was my first time here and was honestly a bit confused but you order and pay at the counter first, find a seat, and your food will be delivered to your table (instead of getting seated first and then ordering). They do accept Apple Pay! I ordered the Tori Paitan Ramen ($15) and Gyoza ($7). I was told it'd take about 15+ minutes but I definitely think I got it under 10 minutes! I thought the food was okay. Both the ramen and gyoza tasted pretty plain even after adding more chili pepper to my broth and dipping the gyoza in the sauce. The only thing that I felt like had flavor was the chasu. I'm not sure how many people are working in the kitchen but it seems like there is only one person who does everything out in front. She takes orders, clean tables, and delivers the food. She was super nice and welcoming though! I can only imagine what it's like for her to be working the lunch rush hours! Overall had great service but decent food. Will probably come back during one of my lunches when I'm craving comfort food, especially during the rainy season!
This is becoming a once or twice a month lunch spot for me. Located at Embarcadero three, it's a convenient spot for coworker lunches in FiDi. I've ordered their chicken teriyaki bowl each time I've been and it is very consistent and delicious. The folks I've been here with have had ramen and have also been very satisfied and happy. Their tea is very good as well. Pros: Consistent delicious ramen and rice bowls. Cons: Can be busy during lunch and not a lot of room for a waiting area. Bottom line: Good and convenient ramen option in FiDi. read more

Handmade noodles. Ramen. What else could one ask for??? Came here for dinner one evening and met up with my partner to try Kirimachi. I got the iidako karaage, which is a baby octopus fried- not too greasy, pretty tasty. It came with spicy mayo as well. YUM. I went with the ebi shio tonkotsu. I was a bit hesitant because I'm a big fan of pork based broths and ebi was shrimp. I also added the spicy miso, which was a good addition for spice seekers, but I enjoyed the broth before mixing it in as well. We also got the tsukemmen, which is a dipping ramen. The broth is served along side the noodles, chashu, and egg. Definitely meant for dipping as the broth was super flavorful (and it clung to the noodles!). This is only available during dinner. As far as the noodles go, I enjoyed it. I thought the ratio of noodles to broth was awesome, and I would definitely return if I am in the area and craving ramen! read more

Mediocre ramen place. I liked that their portion wasn't too big so i didn't stuff myself like i usually do They had kimchi on the menu but not in real life. I was kinda annoyed they came and took our dishes away literally the second we put down our chopsticks. It was pretty empty so i don't know why they did that haha read more

I live in japantown, and kirimachi is better than all of the ramen in my neighborhood. Very high quality noodles and duck meat. I got the duck truffle ramen which includes both duck and pork. Light broth, not too salty but very flavorful. Gyoza was 10/10 as well, very delicious lunch read more

It was a Tuesday lunch when I came here close to noon with no wait, but they won't seat you until your entire party is here. I voted to come here because I saw that they serve Duck Truffle Ramen ($18), but unfortunately they weren't serving that today :( So here's what I had instead: No. 1 RAMEN - $14 Soy based gyokai tonktosy, pork meat, bamboo shoots, mushroom, marinated soft boiled egg, scallion. I thought this was a decent bowl with good flavors and tender pork. The soft boiled egg is exactly how I like it--salty enough and SOFT. I thought $14 was a tad pricey for the bowl but looking at the locations, I thought it was fair. I didn't finish my bowl and was pleased I can pack my leftovers home. Service was good. Next time I'll call beforehand to see if they have the duck truffle ramen, hehe. read more
When I used to take morning walks, I often passed this place (across the street) before cutting through the park and heading back up the hill. Made a mental note to try this place for lunch one of these days. This was a potential pre event dining spot for the Lucky Feast event at the Bently Reserve, but my friend opted for another place down the street. That evening, the restaurant was about half full and the dining room looked pretty relaxed and diners were eating at a leisure pace. Fast forward two weeks when I decided to walk down a little before 1 pm. The restaurant was packed with names on a signup list by the cashier area and eight or nine people sitting or standing on the side. Figuring that the beauty of ramen shops was the convenience and pace (quick in, quick out), and dining alone, I figured the wait wouldn't be very long. About twenty minutes later, my name was called along with another single diner on the list to share a communal table. No problem. I wished the spicy element was ingrained in the soup instead of a paste on top. The corn gave the bowl a sweet element that I enjoyed. As mentioned, the portions are not very large so do remember to consider sharing an appetizer or two if you are hungrrry. Flavors were good and no complaints about the food, service, or atmosphere. It was just that nothing really stood out. I did notice that the dinner menu does offer tsukemen so I hope to give that a try and hopefully bump this up a star. read more

In pre-COVID-19 days and working from home, my coworkers and I would come here probably at least once a month. They would usually order the ramen and I would prefer to get the Japanese beef curry with potato croquette. If we went there around noon, the wait for a table could be a while. It was a good lunch place for FiDi that served good ramen and other Japanese dishes. Since returning to the office sporadically, I've only gone to Kirimachi twice. The menu has shrunken quite a bit with so few people working in the surrounding offices. The Japanese curry I loved is no longer available and it looks like the restaurant is changing to a sushi/chirashi concept as of January 2022, so it's sad to see. I hope the new concept will keep them afloat and let them bring back the ramen and other dishes they had before if/when the people can return to the office. read more
Holy sodium! Do not go to this place unless your idea of fun after ramen is downing water all day. My husband and I ordered different ramen and both were equally over salted. We tried the chicken kara-age which was also over salted and served on its own (no sauce or anything) which seemed very weird because I've never seen it done this way. The only condiments on the table were more salt bearing ones, such as soy.. so the only option was to try and choke down the chicken with the soup. We both left half of our meal, because the salt was overwhelming and the flavor underwhelming. Service was mediocre and we felt rushed. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for good ramen.. but if you are craving salt.. have at it. read more
Well what an unexpected pleasant find! A little Gem with good foods. So when you think of financial districts in SF you don't think of good tasty foods unless it drains your pockets with each visit. Well, we stumbled upon Kirimachi ramen one evening while parking to attend the Punchline Comedy show in SF near Battery and Embarcadero. To our surprise we found this little ramen next to FedEx a pleasant delight! The adorable friendly kind hostess was truly an added bonus. We decided to taste a couple of items on their menu and also explained we have a show to catch. Not only did they kindly expedited our order but everything was delicious. I'm a tofu and chasu gohan ramen person so everything I love is here on a cold rainy cloudy SF winter evening. The broth has flavor but not overpowering or decadent. The noodles are even made onsite and had an Al dente which is my preference. Tofu salad has a nice kick to it so I'm ready to eat it all the second it was set down. The chasu gohan comes in small large or small side part of ramen order for a nominal fee. Flavor was spot on and left me wishing I ordered more to go for the next day. We were in and out quickly and let's just say will be back to try more items on the menu! Heard that this place draws a big crowd during lunch during since the location. So what I recommend is doing what we did dinner or during the morning before lunch madness. 11:00 is not busy from what the host less says but once 11:30-12 hits they are slammed!! How have I worked in fidi for years and never realized that this was here? I thought that the only ramen spots close-ish to my office were Ramen Underground on Kearny and Ramen Bar on California, but lo and behold, there is yet another ramen spot nearby! Once I discovered this place, I quickly made plans to come here with a fellow ramen loving friend who works nearby. We both got the No. 1 Ramen ($14), which is their soy base gyokai tonkotsu broth,with pork meat, bamboo shoots, mushroom, marinate soft boiled egg, and scallions. Let's be real, it's pricy for what it is. But when your only competition is the even pricier Ramen Bar nearby which isn't nearly as good, there's not much you have to worry about. The broth itself was a little heavy for my taste and the chashu was a bit overcooked, but overall it was a decent bowl of ramen. I'll probably come again sometime when it's cold and windy outside and I want something hot and soupy. We came around 11:45 am and it was still wasn't full around 12:30 when we left. I was afraid there would be a wait but seems like the hype might have died down for this place. read more
Stopped by before the Giants game. The service was quick and our server was really nice. We ordered the kimchi Ramen and the gyoza. Both were so tasty! The gyoza was crunchy but soft in all the right places. The ramen had the perfect little kick to warm up our bodies on a windy day. Looking forward to the next giants home game so we can come back to Kirimachi and eat more ramen! read more

I had the OMG under Noodles (it's not technically ramen) + Gyoza and yuuuum! So great. I could definitely tell the noodles and dumpling (gyoza) was fresh and homemade! Service was fast and efficient for lunch. When we arrived before noon it was not packed but soon after several people walked in. We did dine indoors and it was lovely. We're fans, we'll definitely return. read more

I had a 24 hour layover here in San Francisco and decided to search for some ramen places in the area, near and far. Kirimachi had good reviews and was close. I was not disappointed at all. The waitress was the only one working during the lunch rush and she knew what she was doing, acknowledged everyone while bussing tables and serving dishes. I wasn't even bothered by the slight wait. It was SO WORTH IT. I asked her for a good spicy ramen and she informed me it wasn't on the menu, it was a Korean spice ramen. Not as hot as one would expect but definitely had a good kick to it. Already spread the word to my friends coming soon. Also tried the gyoza and they were just as good! read more
I came here with some friends after work to do a small meetup and catch up on what was going on in each others' lives The shop it decently sized with maybe 10 or 15 tables, and the front is staffed by a really nice lady. I got the Shoyu Ramen, which has a soy sauce-based chicken broth for the base sauce. I didn't get any additional add-ons, so the ramen came with pork chashu, arugula, menma, soy-marinated soft-boiled egg, and scallion. Here is what I thought about the ramen: - The broth was quite nice, wasn't too heavy, and yet pretty flavorful. - The egg had a great consistency, and although I did wish that they gave more than just half an egg, just the perfect runny-ness gave me great satisfaction. - The chashu was very tender, almost fall-apart tender, and although it wasn't the most flavorful, the texture was really nice - The noodles were probably my least favorite part of the ramen, in that they weren't quite as chewy as I wanted it to be - The menma gave the overall dish a small little crunch Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the my experience here. Beyond the decent-tasting ramen, the server was also very friendly and had a great sense of humor. Definitely need to come back again to try more off their menu in the future. read more

Solid ramen shop! I had the tonkotsu bowl with seafood based broth and it was delicious. The noodles were the right texture, chashu tasted nice and the egg was soft boiled. The flavor of the broth was the highlight for me. Would definitely have to come back here for another bowl. Was somewhat disappointed in the serving size - wish it was larger (to my eye it was smaller than average), but I did enjoy the flavors. The vibe at shop was nice and quiet when I came in (3pm weekday) and the shopkeeper was super sweet. Wishing this shop all the best! read more
If you work in the FiDi, you've probably come across Kirimachi! It's delicious, convenient, affordable, and very popular! sometimes too popular. they're not amazing at communicating wait times or anything like that, so you can sometimes feel left in the dark waiting for a table, but they also tend to get you seated pretty fast. once seated, and ordered, youre food will be out in a matter of minutes... but dont let that fool you. this food is incredible. the menu is also great because if you dont find anything you love, you have the option to build your own ramen! lastly, they usually have lunch specials, so its a nice surprise to see every week. read more
A solid lunch spot if you're craving ramen during the work day. I've been here about 5 times now, and I will continue going back (for convenience, mostly). At around 11-11:30, there is usually no wait; after 12, expect to wait a little bit (but I've never had to wait too long). Very quick service. FOOD I've only gotten the shoyu ramen, which is pretty good. It's not bad, not great - just adequately satisfies my ramen craving. VIBE Fidi quick lunch vibe~ SERVICE Very fast! And nice. Next up - Kirimachi Ramen! I am on an adventure to try each restaurant that validates parking at the Embarcadero Center. After finding the location tucked away in the corner I entered and was immediately greeted by a very friendly women. She said I could sit anywhere, so I sat near the window to people watch. I had some questions about the menu as I was new to this spot and she was very kind in her explanation between the difference between the tsukemen and traditional ramens. I ordered the Miso Ramen. The ramen was surprisingly good!! I was expecting the both to be more miso like, but it didn't separate like miso usually does, that being said, it was very flavorful and I enjoyed it! The ramen was packed with noodles, corn, arugula, 3 pieces of meat, and a soft boiled egg. Service, food, and prices were great! Validated parking makes parking at the Embarcadero Center more affordable especially in the evening ($2.00 for up to 4 hours after 5pm) read more
I don't go to ramen restaurants often, but glad I stopped by here for lunch today while working in the city. Ordered the OMG and it was delicious! The broth was creamy and mildly spicy. The wide noodles had the right amount of chewiness. I heard that this location will be closing for a month, but looking forward to when they reopen. read more

TL;DR: Long wait, expensive small bowl, still hungry, not coming back. Ever since Pho Hoa closed, I have been just dying for this place to open so I can try it. Today, I finally got the chance to try this place out. I arrived at around 1pm, thinking there would be less people. To my dismay, there were actually a LOT of people there. Since I was in a large party, it is usual that we have to wait a while. The wait was about 25 minutes. When we sat down and ordered, it was about another 30 minute wait for food. Now, after all this waiting, you would expect the food to be spectacular. I got the Shoyu Ramen ($12.95) and it was a small bowl. Good things come in small packages? Not even. The broth was bland. I understand "lighter broth" but I didn't expect it to be this light. The ramen tasted like packaged ramen. As a small eater, I was able to finish the bowl and still not be full... For the price, portion, and taste, not worth it. I think we're all better off at Ramen Bar... read more
Sister invited me to this spot because she works downtown. I went sans parents this time. I had the shoyu ramen which came with like duck slices and some bamboo shoots, egg, and noodles. I am not that into ramen noodles like this. But it's trendy to have some ramen, so I think this is a good spot and it isn't terribly overpriced. It's modern and service is attentive. I'm very happy I stumbled across Kirimachi wandering around Embarcadero Center 3 on my 15 minute break yesterday afternoon. At a little after 3 I followed the signs hanging from the ceiling to a tiny corner tucked away in an odd spot in the center, and found this very cute little restaurant, sitting pretty empty but with a couple of people having a late lunch. I took a menu with me so I could peruse it at the office, and the very nice hostess seemed really grateful I even walked in just to get a menu. The pricing is pretty much the same as The Ramen Bar, but it is slightly more expensive (just slightly). There are a few different ramens to choose from, rice bowls, appetizers, a couple of desserts, and specialty items like natto tacos or uni risotto. You can also get a bowl of ramen during their happy hour from 2:30-5 for $9.95. The menu reveals a humility I've never experienced at any restaurant, with a short couple of paragraphs on the back saying that they know they won't be able to please everyone but that they try, and that once they are able to settle in they'll be able to make their noodles in-house with a noodle machine, and thanking their patrons for their support. Undeterred by the seemingly endless nitpicky, or sometimes downright eye-roll-inducing reviews, I made the short walk over for dinner, and found it pretty empty for a Thursday night at 7:15. I was greeted and seated right away, and since I had already looked at the menu I placed my order for the miso ramen ($12.95) instantly. The same hostess from the afternoon was the lady who seated me, and a very nice older man took my order; the service is so friendly here, with both people constantly thanking and bowing, and my ramen came incredibly fast. Compared to other restaurants, like The Ramen Bar, this ramen feels homemade in a good way, like you went to someone's house and their parents made you some really, really tasty ramen. It's simple, with a few small pieces of chasu, some arugula, half a boiled egg, corn, green onion, and a fair amount of noodles in a cloudy, not clear, miso broth. It was very hot and fresh when it came out and smelled delicious, and I found myself inhaling it. I loved it. In retrospect I'd probably have to order extra noodles for $1, because I will agree with other reviewers that the serving of noodles could be bigger. I didn't leave hungry, and I was far from unsatisfied, but with ramen and noodles/pasta in general I can eat a lot, and given how good this was I wanted more, especially for the price. The chasu pieces were also small, bite-sized cuts compared to the large medallions of meat other ramen shops give. With a tip, my total came out to $16 and some change, with no drink, just water. That is pricey given my criticisms, but I'd be willing to walk here and pay essentially what I pay at The Ramen Bar, for very friendly, faster service, and a much quieter but equally as modern and attractive restaurant. read more
Ramen is perfect for the rainy weather and I am always on the hunt to keep my tummy warm! We entered Kirimachi around 5pm but just missed the happy hour $10 ramen, darn! But that didn't stop us from trying out the other dishes! Today I had the Ramen #1. It came in a decent lunch sized portion. It consisted of a tonkotsu base, pork, half a boiled egg, and veggies. I like that the soup base is MSG free and that they use high quality ingredients for their noodles. I felt like the noodles had a medium to hard texture. It was flavorless on its own but good when spooned with the soup. The pork was sliced very thinly and a tad dry. The soup itself was very oily but flavorful. After finishing the dish, we watched as our soup turned into a transparent solid. I enjoyed the modern ambiance and how spacious it was. I didn't feel like I was being crowded or that I was being rushed out. Kirimachi is at a prime location and the service was very attentive. Maybe today was an off day, but I would definitely give Kirimachi a second try! read more
So disappointed. I loved the ramen shop they used to have on Broadway except for super slow service. In the new spot, the bowl is 30% smaller and the prices about 25% more. You only get half of a boiled egg now. Ugh. The taste is okay, at least not too salty. The no1 ramen is way too oily now. Had to switch to shoyu ramen. Adding arugula to the soup is an odd choice. It almost got too fancy for itself. Maybe it will do okay as ramen seem to be the latest food fad, but unfortunately I won't be back. Bill came out to be $17 including tax and tip for just ramen with no add on. Wow. What a rip off. read more

Japanese ramen houses are quaint, simple and is all about their ramen. To a ramen house, everything else is just accompaniment to the large bowl of noodle soup. It's cheap, simple and to many a comfort food. Trust me, I want to love the bowl of soup that I ordered. It has all the bells and whistle of a fine bowl of ramen. The broth is full, very rich and complete with dimensions. The noodles were pretty good as well, doesn't matter if it's fresh or not. You gotta know how to cook it, and they've got that covered. Somehow the arugula is just not a perfect mix or addition to the bowl. It totally doesn't tie into anything. It sorta breaks the dish, not make it. The packaged soft boil eggs can be overlooked, but the tastebuds doesn't appreciate the arugula. I love it on my salad, but I don't think it works on a bowl of ramen. Ramen is tough to review. Once you have had a "perfect" bowl in Japan (or NYC), everything else will be a letdown. Unfortunately, San Francisco has a lot of mediocre-to-crappy ramen. So solid ramen is actually pretty good on a relative basis. And that's how I feel about this place. It holds its own for San Francisco, though not quite on the world stage. No. 1 Ramen w/ Kura: A tonkotsu broth, which is full of porky goodness, though not as rich as I've had at places in Tokyo and NYC. The pork is tasty, nicely marinated and roasted, but it was cold. Had to dunk it in the broth to warm up; would have preferred it to come out warm. The noodles were decent, chewy and crinkly, but not earth shattering. I saw the kura (black garlic) upgrade drizzled on, but didn't really notice it when I tasted the broth. Would have been nice to bring it out as something I could pour in myself and taste the difference. Gyoza: Smaller than regular dumplings. They did have a decent sear at the bottom, though it wasn't overly crispy. Liked the dipping sauce. read more
