I appreciated the handout, but for me the terms were tossed out with assumed knowledge on the part of the student, making it impossible to follow along at many points. I believe the classes are taught by actual, practicing, specialists. I am not sure, but they may even volunteer. And, as an educator who had to learn how to teach I think the educators here would benefit from providing more structured introductions to the material, including terms and definitions, even examples, before using the term. In some cases, the examples were provided, which helped, but more of that for all terms. If it is a beginner class, assume the student knows nothing because they probably do know nothing!

Customer service was excellent, you can tell these folks care about what they do and want to see your project succeed. They're honest about the realities of natural stone (like staining and etching) so you can make the right choice. They use a $-$$$$ system to communicate approximate price levels. When choosing natural stone, you really have to see the entire slab - and for many of these stones, people have an emotional reaction. So it makes sense that this facility is a pleasure to visit. It's almost guaranteed you will leave inspired.

We were in yesterday, and he moved some slabs with the forklift, to get one I wanted to see. He brought it out into a space near the door, so that we could see it in natural light. After paying for a beautiful, expensive door, I still had to pay to have it stained and installed. And, after three tries, Western Pacific was unable to deliver the correct size interior trim. Now, three years later, the "stiles are separating from the curved top rail" (their diagnosis). The door is coming apart and no longer swings freely. They have told me that the door is out of warranty and there's nothing that they can do. I need to find another company and pay that company to fix THEIR poor quality product. I find it extremely poor business to sell a product that they refuse to stand behind. As for "customer service", I had to initiate contact throughout the entire process. Their response was never timely or proactive.
