Seattle Tacoma domestic airport has great options for food, the same cannot be said true for the International Airport. Once you cross over to the international gates, the options become lesser, & lesser. I found Kobo to be a decent option try & likes their Thai Sweet Chilli Combo, which comes with Rice, some sweet chilli sauce, veggies, choice of protein & a spring roll. Decent food at a decent price, especially when you have limited options.

    Udon with shrimps

This review is based on the Udon. First I was disappointed that the shrimps are small shrimps. But they do put a lot of them. The noodle itself is not bad. Big portion for 7.50. The broth is pleasant. This dish does its job to fill you up when there's nothing better around.

Salmon roll ($6.99) and fruit & cheese pack ($5.25)

Airport sushi. There, that just about sums up this entire place in two words, but of course I can't get away with being so terse in a Yelp review. I could add a third word: overpriced. And also kind of not worth it. This restaurant happened to be on my way from the arriving airplane gates to the baggage claim, though. I had to stop to buy some food even though my travel was at the front of my mind at the time. Sorry if that's stating the obvious because pretty much everybody visits airports for reasons other than eating. I have to comment on my experience at this restaurant, though, so here goes. First of all, why is it $6.99 for eight salmon rolls? I can understand if they were served fresh on a plate, but these were prepared well in advance and are sitting in plastic trays. And is that cream cheese with the salmon? Ick. I also got a fruit and cheese pack for $5.25. Grapes, sliced apple, and cubes of cheese plus crackers. That is totally not worth the cost, but I couldn't afford to dawdle at the airport and had to hurry with my purchase. Just get your food from somewhere else if you can.

Chicken and shrimp udon (combo udon)

Review for lunch: - ordered chicken and shrimp udon - as in other reviews, taste was bland. Definitely take the chili flakes to add some flavor! - however, it was a big filling bowl - $7.50 was with it (if you compare it to SFO airport prices) No other food vendor in the Seattle S Gates looked interesting. At least we saved some money by eating here instead of the sit down restaurant. Next time If we're in the S Gate Terminal: Eat at the places at the other terminal gates! Looked like there was more variety out there!

Most disgusting eggs I have ever had in my entire life. Tried one bite and literally had to spit it out. They are like goo.
    Jennifer W.

Disgusting. The eggs are gooey, biscuit hard as a rock and potatoes cold. Complete waste of $6. I should have just taken the train to Starbucks in A.

By far the worst Sushi I have ever had. The rolls were nasty and the rice was rubber. They were at least two days old. I'll eat Taco Bell before I go here again.

The way they worded this really rubbed me the wrong way. First, I've never been give a time limit at a restaurant that was not all-you-can-eat. Second, the amount of time I spend in your restaurant heavily depends on the speed of your service (spoiler alert: it was not fast). They then sat us at the most uncomfortable table I have ever had the displeasure of dining at. The table was low and the seats were so deep that I could not rest my back on them while eating. Definitely brought the mood down further. Food was a hit or a miss, no in between. Hit: Garlic short ribs (my partner said these were tender and a good portion for happy hour), Poke sushi roll (good fish quality and taste) Misses: First Ave Roll (sauce was just walloped on top, weak flavors), veggie and shrimp tempura (heavy and soggy batter), pink lychee cooler (artificially sweet with no strong lychee flavor), green tea tiramisu (photo speaks for itself). For all the rave reviews, I was pretty let down. Thankfully, we went during happy hour so we didn't pay full price. I would not visit here again.

Momiji was one of those and it was extremely close to the movie theater we were walking out of. Sushi sounded great so we strolled over to get some. The sushi didn't disappoint... not in the slightest! We got some specialty rolls off of that portion of the menu and they were so very good! Fresh and extremely flavorful! Moonraker was one of the rolls we got. I highly recommend it! In addition to that we got an order of the Spicy Tofu... again delicious and made an excellent side with our sushi! I got a hard alcohol I wasn't used to getting. It was fun and it was quite good! It was Shochu which is a distilled beverage and involves sweet potato. If memory serves I got the one with sweet potato and pear. Very different but very good. It had a nice dryness to it. To wrap it all up we got some deep fried mochi ice cream. It held up nicely to being a great finish to a very high quality meal. We are definitely coming back!

I am rating this as a 4 but likely would have given 3.5 if half stars were an option. We made our reservations a few weeks in advance being sat in the dining room. The three of us ordered the omakase and the food was delicious. Each piece was delectable and glorious. For food alone I'd given it a 5. Ambiance was nothing spectacular nor would set it apart from other sushi restaurants. It looked and felt like most sushi restaurants that offer omakase in the area. The service is where our dining experience, surprisingly, fell the most flat. Our waitress was a timid young woman who seemed very overwhelmed, speaking very quietly and quickly which caused us to ask her to repeat herself a few times. She had a script and if she stuck to the script she was fine but if we asked any question she wasn't prepared for, like asking about sake, she locked up. She also didn't appear to be receiving much support either. Questions regarding the sake were funneled through her to someone else who would relay the questions through her. The back and forth was enough I questioned why this person didn't come with our waitress to assist her. The explanations on the omakase dishes were given quietly or not given at all. It was just a bit atypical for omakase style restaurants in the area.

In the end, I only ordered three handroll: two salmon and one yellowtail. Their fish is tasty and their handrolls are crunchy and fresh. The yellowtail had some citrus on it, but it was not too overwhelming. Their salmon's was perfect and topped off with sesame seeds. The service was okay and the place itself was a bit vacant. It's understandable since they just finished their happy hour. I would say it's not too bad for a place located next to a touristy spot.

I walked into a casual, interactive space where the focus is on convenience and variety rather than a traditional sit-down sushi experience. The setup makes it easy to grab a plate and build your own sushi selection based on exactly what you want, which works well for anyone who enjoys trying a little bit of everything without committing to a full roll or set menu. The biggest highlight is the selection of sushi available. I appreciated the range of different rolls, nigiri, and specialty options, which made it easy to mix and match without limiting myself to just a few dishes. The sushi was constantly refreshed, so the experience felt more like picking from a fresh display rather than ordering from a menu. The variety is what makes FOB stand out, especially if you like trying different flavors in one visit and want to explore beyond the usual sushi staples. The pay-by-weight format also made the pricing feel flexible since I could control my portion size. It works especially well for groups because everyone can choose their own favorites and build a customized box. Beyond the convenience, the sushi itself was enjoyable with fresh flavors and creative combinations that made it more than just a quick grab-and-go option. The quality held up well across the different items I tried, and the presentation was clean and appealing. The main downside is that seating can be limited, especially during busier times, so it may be better suited for a casual meal rather than a long dining experience. The space leans more toward takeout or a quick stop, but the energy stays comfortable even when the line forms. FOB Sushi Bar is a fun option if you want variety, convenience, and the ability to explore different sushi options in one visit. It is a unique concept that makes sushi feel more approachable and customizable, offering a meal that feels both fresh and flexible.
