[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cozy place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner is really nice and accommodating. We ordered baked green mussels and cucumber salad to start. For our mains we got the philly roll, lobster roll, and scallop roll. Green Mussels- The mussels were fresh and baked in a mayo sauce, finished with eel sauce. Savory with a slightly sweet finish. Cucumber Salad- This dish makes a lovely palate cleanser. It is zesty, with a light crunch to the cucumbers that give it a layer of texture. Philly Roll- The fish was fresh and meaty. The cream cheese filling and avocado gives each bite a lovely creaminess. Lobster Roll- Crawfish pieces were fried until crisp but slightly chewy inside. The sauce is rich with a slightly sweet finish. Scallop Roll- Scallops are nice and tender. You get it mixed with a generous amount of crab and topped over california rolls. Great experience overall!

Highly recommend checking out Koco sushi! Their extensive selection of creative rolls is amazing. We kept ordering more and more because everything was so great and hit the spot. Highly recommend trying out the playboy roll and seared salmon! I believe the owner and her son served us and they were both super sweet and attentive. Shoutout to the owners, they're very welcoming and friendly. It was sooo hard finding a sushi party platter in Orange county until I saw this place on yelp! The quality and quantity is reasonable for a party platter I got the tray d which come combine with tray c for $130 i believe. It was good and fresh. The service was so nice and friendly. The street over has meter. Def going to order again from here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice hole in the wall place to stop by from Disneyland on the way to the SNA airport.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It seems to be a Korean+Japanese fusion menu. Enjoyed the hot night roll, tteokbokki, and Jun roll. Street parking on the side of the building and would definitely go back for a quick sushi fix. Quick service with friendly staff members. Didn't have to ask for refill in water or wait long for the food.

The Fresh assorted sushi, tasty crunchy roll, tiger rolls, teriyaki chicken, chicken karaage & salads are beautifully prepared with flowers and entertained all of our office staff! They're ready for another sushi lunch for another event. Great food!

The food is always extremely tasty, there are never any leftovers when we come to this restaurant. The service is quick and ambiance is always pleasant. You can tell that the store owners have been running this place for a while as they're a well oiled machine. My fav item is usually the standard spicy ramen + a sushi side combo, which is just an awesome deal. Would always be willing to come back, great vibes, tasty food and reasonably priced!

This place is so consistent and delicious. They have a wide variety of rolls and sushi options and options for people who don't like fish or raw seafood. I personally love the Santa Ana roll and the unagi have also ordered the salmon skin roll and salad both are delicious as well the albacore roll is awesome too. The service here is the best sense of friendly place easy parking my new favorite sushi spot.

This place was amazing! I can't tell you if I've ever left a yelp review, but I spent 2 weeks in Japan this summer and this is the best sushi I've had since. I ordered a baked lobster roll and a 3 item bento for takeout at lunchtime, and it was very fast and convenient! Ordering online is very easy and the pickup times are accurate. I personally enjoyed the baked roll a lot although it's quite heavy. As for the bento, the items were quite standard but I found the pork katsu to be quite dry and difficult to chew. I think it still is a good place to get a bite to eat for a decent price, especially if you're looking for some sushi rolls. The quality is good and still can satisfy your cravings. There may be other locations where you can get better sushi for comparable prices, but I definitely want to try out some of the other items as the location is convenient and they even have a loyalty stamp card to get free drinks or appetizers! read more

Very delicious food. Lots of care is put into the foods presentation. Really neat art and decor within. They pay special attention to making the experience feel distinctly Japanese (J-Pop or Japanese League Baseball on the flat panel). The proprietor remembered my fiancé and I and we'd only been here for dinner once before about half a year ago, very impressive. I will say if you're used to larger rolls maybe order one extra for good measure if you're hungry, by no means are portions meager though. read more

I was with my son and we had excellent food and outstanding service! The eel nigiri (unagi) and a sashimi selection was sooooo good!! Very small spot. Only like 3 to 5 tables. Best to do takeout. Lady at the front was really nice. Food was good. Had a couple of no rice rolls. I always judge a place by their spicy scallop rolls. The ones here were on point, nice and soft, not tough at all. They have boba and your standard Japanese teriyaki and udon for those who don't eat raw fish. It's a little gem very close to OCSA. read more

I ordered Koco Sushi through Postmates. It came in on time and the food was absolutely delicious. i've been hearing all about the crispy rice and so I ordered that. It was super delicious. I also got the godzilla roll and california roll (for free on the postmates app). I also ordered the bento box combo for lunch, it came with chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura and salmon roll. I was craving sushi so I decided to try Koco Sushi because of how close it was to my house. I was expecting fast food sushi, based on the interior and price on the menu but I was so completely blown away at the quality of the sushi and eel! I've tried many cheaper and expensive sushi restaurants, and I would say this place is better than some of the pricier sushi places I've gone to. We ended up ordering Crispy Rice, Seared Tuna, Seared Albacore, Seared Tuna, Mackerel, and the star of the show - the freshwater eel. It ended up feeling like an omakase experience. On top of that, the owners of the restaurant were very sweet and attentive. They ended up giving us two free masks as a gift. I'll definitely be back to try their rolls next time. Can't go wrong with great sushi at a great price. read more

Also, received a stamped loyalty card that earns a free drink at the fourth purchase (looking forward to trying a milk tea) and a free appetizer at ninth purchase. I've already recommended them to others that think they're excellent as well! Could've used a side of ginger for the roll, but that's ok. Now I know to ask. Wonderful experience. The sushi was incredibly fresh and well put together, presentation is pleasing to the eye and the taste more than speaks for itself. Love sushi, love boba, and this spot does both. Was interested in the concept so stopped by. Ended up getting so much food that I forgot to order boba but everything was great! Ordered Ahi Tuna Tacos, the Jun roll, poke cupbap, and another roll I can't remember. Ahi tacos was definitely unique, not sure what the tuna was on but it was so thin and crispy- a step up from poke nachos. All around super solid place and definite bonus for the strong AC. read more

All of the items on the menu looked and sounded so delicious! We finally settled on the chirasi cupbap, salmon teriyaki cupbap, tofu salad, the mackerel sushi, the eel roll and the salmon special combo. They did not disappoint! I frequent Locos once a week because I love the Udon here. The broth has a strong beef flavor and meal itself is hearty. I love bringing friends here and ordering various sushi items. Meter parking can be found on 8th Street. Parking is free on Sundays and holidays, FYI. They have punch cards for boba drinks and meals. Happy eating :] read more

I've sat at the bar every time so I can't say as how noisy it would be sitting at a table. Making a reservation is highly encouraged but drop ins are welcome. Just understand it's a small place and a small crew!

The biggest issue wasn't even the prices, it was that our waiter never mentioned any of these upcharges when we ordered. If you're going to charge premium prices for simple additions, customers deserve to be told beforehand. We've eaten at countless sushi restaurants over the years, and we've never been charged these kinds of fees for basic add-ons, especially without any warning. It felt deceptive and left a terrible impression. Restaurants don't lose customers over a few dollars. They lose them when customers feel misled. Transparent pricing builds trust. Hidden charges destroy it. We won't be coming back, and unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an honest dining experience.

The rolls were packed with ingredients instead of mostly rice, and every bite was well-balanced and flavorful. If you're a uni lover, I highly recommend trying theirs. I saw some people coming in wanting to order a la carte, but the waitress said they weren't able to do that at the moment. I know this might be a rough transition to a new system so I hope people will give them a chance to figure it out. Overall, the food is still great and I'm happy I can try some of their sides I've been wanting to try, but now it comes with all the rolls that I can double and triple order! I went on a Sunday around 5 PM and the line was short. The menu is expansive and prices are average. You are not going to get taco stand prices here as it is a brick and mortar. Service was fast. The food came out in a few minutes. They maybe have 4-5 tables outside for seating. There are no indoor tables. There is a salsa and toppings bar. I got a cabeza taco and Tripa taco. Excellent! The tacos did not disappoint and well worth the $3.50 each. Bandito Taqueria in Santa Ana, who also does Tijuana style tacos, has competition. Instantly Angel's becomes one of the best tacos in OC.

Came here for the first time the other day for dinner with my boss and coworkers. We were looking for some sushi spots in the area and saw this was a new business and thought "why not, let's try it out". And gotta say it was quite the good choice! We actually ordered a lot more and we were so hungry, that we forgot to take photos of everything. BUT everything we ordered was so good. Although, I cannot remember everything we ordered, glad I took some photos of the orders to share. And everything is fairly reasonably priced that you'll leave with a satisfied stomach! We started off with a salad appetizer to share and honestly that was pretty good start. The sauce had some sort of sweet dressing, def an asian dressing and everything inside was very fresh. If you like asian salads, you'll enjoy this. As for the fish, everything was really fresh tasting. If you like nice and simple sushi eating like me, you'll definitely appreciate the nigiris. Tuna, Salmon, Eel, Shrimp, Yellowtail, and Albacore were all really good in quality! They also throw in some Korean pickled dishes for some orders but definitely ask for that if you get a chance, as it goes quite well with the sushi! Lastly, to wash everything down, we ordered a tempura udon at the end and that was a nice finishing touch to our meal. Recommend if you still got some room for more food haha Overall, my boss and coworkers were all glad I chose this spot to eat. The place is small with not much dining tables as it appears they are more focused on To-Go orders. So if i ever come back, I will most likely call in advance to place an order and just take back the food to eat at home! BUT if you do decide to eat inside, there is available street parking on the side of the restaurant. Be sure to carry some quarters as it's meter parking. Unsure if there are other public parking spots nearby, if there are I probably missed them LOL Regardless, friendly workers and chef, great service, delicious food, and good small spot I found! read more

Koco is right by my school, and I often have to be in the area for long days due to extra classes and rehearsals. Me and my friends come here often for 'linner' on our break between school and extra practices/extracurriculars. The staff is amazing! They are so kind to us students, and all of their 'locals'! When we came back to campus for this recent semester from summer, they hugged us and welcomed us back when they saw us, which I thought was so thoughtful! As for the food, the sushi is amazing! When I'm looking to get something fast an lower-priced, I typically go with the basic rolls & hand rolls, like the California rolls and Philadelphia rolls. However, when I want something else, I like to do the playboy rolls and the Angel rolls. Their chicken is great too! Typically whatever I am feeling that day, they have an option to match! That said, the ambiance leans more fast-food joint than date night. As for the food, it was mid. The scallops had a bit of a fishy taste (not ideal), but the salmon and yellowtail sushi were decent. The crunchy roll was solid--big and tasty--but the beef teriyaki was a major miss. It tasted like it came straight from a bottle, super processed and lacking flavor. This sushi spot is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about the food and their customers. The fish quality is excellent, especially for the price. Everything tasted super fresh, they have perfectly seasoned rice, and beautifully presented rolls. The spicy garlic edamame is a must order. Perfectly cooked, tossed in a garlicky, spicy sauce that's totally addictive and the best I've ever had at a sushi spot. Overall, this place has great food, great prices, and great vibes.
