We came here on a weeknight and were pretty impressed by the couple running the place, who at the peak of the night was serving about 20 people in pretty good time. The food here is pretty decent. We waited about 15 minutes to get the food. We loved the all you can eat Korean sides. That was delicious. The food was also pretty good. We enjoyed the kimchi fried rice, the sweet noodles, the bbq galbi, and the soup. However, the kimchi fried rice was a little wet and a little too hot, since their kimchi is on the spicier side. The black bean noodles also didn't have much flavor. But overall, we thought that the food was pretty good and it's a nice restaurant that's fast casual. Still super impressed by the couple running the place -- getting the orders out timely for their bare operations.

Sides: kimchi, cucumber, soy bean, radish, and fish cake . So good!

The food is amazing! Everything taste so fresh and is piping hot. My favorite so far has been the kimchi stew and the glass noodle stir fry. All the side are amazing... i went twice and the first time they packaged pickled radish but when i went back a few weeks later they had their homemade pickled radish out and it was perfection. Highly recommend trying it. Both bulgogis were goood but I preferred the spicy version. It had the perfect amount of heat and more of a spice flavor. Service is great. Love that they play Kpop music. 10/10

This restaurant & market is definitely the most underrated restaurant in fresno if you ask me. The owners are the most kind and generous people who also make the best korean food offered in a fresno restaurant ! My grandmother and i frequent this restaurant every time I'm in town, and it is phenomenal every single time. Each meal comes with a variety of side and im an absolute fiend for the potatos and the peanuts ! The owner knows this about me and keeps them coming which i will forever appreciate her for ! Im a big fan of the mackeral and bulgogi dishes as entrees, and my grandmother loves their jajangmyeon and whole fish dish. You cant go wrong with anything you order here, they make their food filled with love and packed with flavor. Also they have ice creams in the market which we grab after every meal haha ! Overall, this a definitely a must try and im sure they'll keep you coming back for

Really close off the 41 freeway and plenty of parking. I ordered the kalbi beef with steamed rice and side dishes. It took over 30 minutes as there are 3-4 people working. As I waited, I browsed the grocery store. Lots of dry ramen options, sauces, rice paper, cookies and ice cream. The food that came out looked delicious and smelled so good. It is worth the wait! The kalbi beef was perfectly flavored and grilled. There are fatty parts, which is normal and no big deal. The kimchee and pickled radish were delicious and not spicy. I ate everything - so delicious! Will definitely return and absolutely recommend! They also accept credit cards.

The food tasted pretty authentic. The Pork Back Bone Stew (#19) was my husband's favorite. The Spicy Beef Soup (#11) has a unique taste of fern so if you're not familiar with it you might not like it that much. The Combination (#6) BBQ plate was good, you'll like it if you like sweet and salty meat, but I kind of think it's overpriced for its' portion. The place is a little run down and old. When my husband and I went in it took awhile for them to give us a menu. You get your own sides, which is unlimited if you dine in. They also took awhile to ring us up.

I've eaten here two separate times & both times I left with a full belly but still had leftovers. I went while it was slightly busy, but I didn't have to wait too long and the owners seemed very friendly. * Bulgogi (favorite) - very flavorful and tender * Fried dumpling - good for the amount and price, would get again * Spicy rice cakes - very filling, wish they had an option to add cheese but also good by itself!

The family and I went to check this place out last weekend and we loved it ! The market itself is small but has great little items from fresh kimchi, nori, and ramen packs. This place is what we would call a whole in the wall and those can be some of the best places. Fresno lacks Korean food for sure and we were so excited to try their food.Cause this place is also a little restaurant, half market and half restaurant. They have just a few tables and it's a husband and wife that work their. Food isn't super fast to come out but I was totally ok with that. I was excited to try the banchan offerings and they were yummy, not disappointed at all. We decided to try the spicy rice cakes $10.99, 5/5we really enjoyed these! I felt the spice was good and it had some sweetness but not too much. Had to try the kimchi fried rice $12.99, 4/5, it can be a little oily but it was good and I gave it a 4 cause I think it would have been great if the egg on top had a runny yolk but unfortunately it was a little over cooked. We also got the black bean sauce noodles $12.99, 4/5 . This was good and the kids really enjoyed it! Can't wait to come back for more!! Totally a hidden little gem in Fresno

First time at Fresno, I came across this place after searching for places to eat and I'm happy I decided to come here! The initial pictures that I assume were from the business owners, I knew this place was going to be a mom and dad restaurant and sure enough it is! I LOVE mom and dad restaurants, and everything they serve they made themselves. From their sides to their main dishes. I'd like to add their side dishes are self serve all you can eat for dine in! The service was very quick. There's pictures on the wall of the dishes they serve. If I wasn't on a budget I would definitely gotten more food. I actually live in the Bay Area and if I'm ever back in town. I would come back for sure! I got their black bean noodle dish and it was amazing :)

The soup was AMAZING and I was surprised that I liked it so much because I usually don't like tofu. So, when we went this time to dine-in together, I decided to get that soup and my husband got the Oxtail soup (or something like that). As before, the beef tofu soup was DELICIOUS, but I will say that the soups come out piping hot which the server did warn us about. My favorites from the banchan were the kimchi, cucumber and sauce, and the noodles. As for my husband's oxtail soup, we both wished that it had some more salt or umami flavor because it was a little bland. Other than that, the food was still really good and we look forward to coming back, especially during the cold season. The restaurant is smaller than expected but it is very clean and kept up. We had a male server who was very attentive and polite.

Dishes are $15-$20 compared to $20-$30 at most other korean places in town and the banchan is really good. Like really good. The kimchi is saucey, spicy and a little sweet. I can't confirm it's made in house but considering how yummy it is and that they used to sell their own kimchi when they still had the market I will assume it is. They've been around foreverr and I respect the pricing and Im rooting for them But with that said... I ordered the bibimbap and the flavor was good but the rice was soggy, creating a terrible texture that didnt crisp at the bottom of the bowl despite it coming out sizzling. I couldn't finish the rice. I don't believe this is a regular issue so I won't hold it against them. This is where it will turn into a bit of a blog post. If you haven't been here then this part will offer no value. It feels like as time goes on I am more and more disappointed. Like, 15+ years ago they were a market-restaurant hybrid. Eventually they eliminated the market and were just a restaurant. Bummer. Previous to this last visit, they had a self-serve banchan station. So good. So many options. SSS best in town and the reason I came back. They've swapped it out for a self serve malatang. I'm devastated! So, now it's one serving of three banchan and one of them is literally salted peanuts. That and the soggy rice really ruined the experience but I don't want my review to be clouded because I miss the good times. They're doing what they need to do and I highly value the commitment to reasonable pricing without letting the quality of the food completely deteriorate.

The resturant is owned by two of the sweetest couples, and you can genuinely feel the warmth and care the moment you walk in. The pop is the chef and the ma is the waitress. The wait time could be a bit longer than other places. Even though the shop is small and not always crowded, the food speaks for itself! It's absolutely amazing! SIDE DISHES :: They serve a selected menu of authentic Korean dishes, and every single seasoning feels perfectly balanced. You can tell everything is made with care and experience. Even the side dishes stood out to me. The fermentation and seasoning are on point! Fresh, flavorful, and not overly vinegary or sour like store bought one. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and comforting. The side dishes comes with fermented kimchi, fermented bean sprout, fish cakes, and sweet fermented potatoes. All of their side dishes are really good! RATE : 5/5 SHRIMP FRIED RICE ($15.99) :: This plate is so simple yet so comforting too. It's not blasted full of flavors but it's perfectly and lightly seasoned. I can taste the light MSG seasoning on this dish. I love it how this plate is not supper oily like any other chinese fried rice. Besides that, there's nothing something special on this dish. If you have young kids and need a quick fix, this plate is not bad. It's not that fatty or oily. RATE : 5/5 SPICY RICE CAKE ($11.99) :: You have to ge this dish! I love their sauce! It's perfectly seasoned! Sweet, salty and spicy. The sauce is thick like they puree pears in it. I'm not sure what is made out of but the text feels like puree pears/apples/potato. The rice cake are perfect cooked! It's soft amd chewy. Very spongy. It goes so well with the sauce. On a note though, the spice level creeps up and could be a bit too spicy. RATE : 5/5 BLACK BEAN SAUCE NOODLE ($13.99) : I originally was looking for Paiks Black Bean Noodles but they closed it down. Im glad that this location have it. The sauce is amazing but i think the noodles are a bit too wet. They couldn't grip onto the noodle much. The whole experience on this dish is a bit disappointing because there not enough sauce and the noodle couldn't grip the sauce so the noodle taste like wet starchy sweet noodles. Besides that, i love the black bean sauce! RATE : 4/5 INTERIOR :: Is a bit out dated with plenty of seatings. Chairs are clean. Tables are well kept but still sticky and smells musty old towels. The bathroom location is located back in the hallway. It's a bit dark and creepy. They do have a few claw machine for activities. RATE : 2/5 SERVICE :: What a sweet couple but be aware that they might miss you. My group and i walked in and seated our self. There's no greeting. We have to flagged someone out from the kitchen. Samething when paying too. That's the difficult part. Their service is horrible but these two couples are really sweet. RATE : 2/5 OVERALL :: There's something really special about finding a quiet little spot like this. It may not be the busiest restaurant in town, but the quality, authenticity, and heart behind the food make it such a memorable place to visit. Definetly one of those hidden gems worth supporting!

You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

We got the house special broth mild and it was already spicy medium tends to be too much for us. Good company great food and service and ambiance. Veggie Fried rice with eggs slapped definitely a must to eat with the veggies and meat. We normally get a veggie combo tofu combo and meat combo. We ended up taking both broths home and enough meat and veggies to make two separate giant bowls at home.

Love love love this place! I tried a new pot, the Tokyo Pot today. It was delicious! Our server Joy…read morewas fantastic! There was a table near us who had a large group with kids. I overheard them talk about how they were going to a movie so Joy offered to help pack their food to go, write their names on it and leave it in the back so they can come back for their food after the movie. I just felt that was super thoughtful and above and beyond. Outside of that, she also took care of me and my friend. She was one of the only waitresses who ever mentioned the rewards program to us and let us scan our QR codes only to find out we each had about $6 off our meals. Fantastic service and great food like always!

I decided to go with the Seoul Pot and my friend had the Hai De Pot. The food came out quickly and we asked our server to turn off the burners since the food was boiling. The one thing I wasnt crazy about was that my pot was filled to the brim where I couldnt add the noodles. I had to pull items out that seemed like "filler" items that wern't that tasty, seaweed knot and some kind of compacted rice ball. I would of preferred a little more broth could of done without those extra things. The broth btw was very good! I felt my broth and bowl was a better tasting option than the Hai De Pot my friend ordered. Our server was great and checked in often. More people entered for lunch but it was still a quiet atmosphere, which was nice. All in all we liked this place and I recommend it. The service is good, prices are fair and food is pretty tasty.
