I was very disappointed to see a credit card surcharge on my bill when I used a debit card. There was no sign saying that i would be charged and I was not informed of this random charge. The tip amount I put was on top of that charge as well- which is very frustrating when you're being nice placing a to go order and giving the person a tip but then you're charged extra because of the charge ! The food was delicious as always but I would not order the lobster again, it was very chewy and actually over cooked. You can tell it was probably frozen for a while and might've even had some freezer burn. This time the sausage was not spicy which was good because last time it was wayyyy too spicy for some reason, and we ordered the garlic sauce. We won't be back here unless I have cash which I don't have very often and that's disappointing. I will be disputing the charge because it is actually illegal to put that kind of charge on a receipt without notifying the customer and without having any signs. read more

Y'all I am a good cook. I say this with no false modesty. I have a successful food blog (twosleevers.com) and I've written 7 best selling cookbooks. I usuually go to the McKinney, TX location. This location just opened near my house. So I am here waiting for my order. I ordered: Krabz and shrimp platter. The platter comes with 1 corn 1 sausage 2 snow krab claws, 1 egg and 17 shrimp served on a bed of potatoes for $34. Not bad. I asked for no egg so the lady asked if I wanted to substitute to it for an extra corn or sausage!!? I also ordered three catfish strips with a side for $9.99. This Mississippi girl could not resist not trying the catfish. On Thursday they have a special for all you can eat crab legs for $39.98 comes with potatoes. Came here based on a recommendation from one of our family members while in town and it was really good here. We came right when it opened and honestly it was really really solid crab seafood. I think this is a franchise because there is one in austin where the service was terrible but this place was fantastic. Food was great though, crab was cooked perfectly not over done. Flavor was great too. Price point is a bit on the more expensive side though, i think crab station similar flavor but a bit cheaper, and crab station has more variety on sides. Overall very solid though and we would come back if we are in the area looking for crab legs. Sausage was a bit on the salty side so I would probably pass on that. read more

I've been a big fan of Krab Kingz since their food truck first pulled up in Ft.Worth! So, I'm even more excited that they have a brick and mortar and it's in N. Ft. Worth too!! There are several new crab places to pop up on on the north side, but none of them compare to Krab Kingz. The butter flavors that Krab Kings offer are in no comparison to the other crab places. Three butter flavors are cajun, lemon pepper, mild, honey garlic and spicy. The honey garlic and lemon pepper are my favorite. The cajun has a medium spice, of you want something with a little bite. The prices are average for this type of eatery and the portions are quite fillings. All the entrees include sausage, potato, corn and a hard boiled egg. The egg is delicious and is something else that makes this place unique. There are other items on the menu under the appetizers (fried items), but I've yet to try them! I am so glad that we tried Krab Kingz because our experience was top notch. The owner greeted us at the door and he was super friendly. The restaurant isn't a huge space, but there were enough open tables to pick where we wanted to sit. We ordered the Snow Crab and Shrimp platter with the Cajun seasoning. I cannot put into words how good the food was and what a fun experience it was. The crab was cooked and seasoned really well along with everything else that came on the platter. It comes with LOTS of shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and an egg in addition to the crab clusters. The portions are SOLID and the food was GREAT! Snow crab legs were small and meat was difficult to get out of the legs in one piece. Meat was stuck to the shell and falling apart. They serve the food in styrofoam containers and cheap plastic forks and don't give you any tools for claw cracking. The Cajun pasta was good and a large portion but again - was difficult to even eat with the weak plastic fork and something that saucy needs a better container than styrofoam lined with foil. Either the food is really good or I was starving . I got #2 special, which comes with 3 clusters of crabs , 17 shrimp, sausage , potato , egg and corn. The crab legs and shrimp were good , however they were the smaller kind. The potatoes were amazingly tender and SEASONED. I never eat potatoes at other seafood places because they are always hard and have no flavor. All the sauces supposedly have garlic in it , but it not garlic forward as I expected . I like garlic especially with seafood, I think garlic butter is used but adding extra garlic cloves in may enhance the flavor. The vibe is cool to me, it's like a carry out that you can hang eat and chill. You can eat, chill , dance , karaoke , and they have a patio. It's a lot going on lol, but it really depends on how social you are. If you're an uptight person it might not be the place for you. But to each it's own . The service is ok. It would have been excellent if my food was hot, warm even! The snow crab legs were ice cold. They show you your food before they bag it. You may want to touch it too to see if it's an appropriate temperature for consumption. I eat Krab Kingz all around the metro, DeSoto and McKinney are consistently good! It's a shame because I live in Fort Worth. I just want to know one question to the heavy set man in the back that packed my order, when you eat the crab legs, and shrimp and corn and potatoes on your break is your food cold or hot? Well extremely disappointed with this place. I love seafood and gave this restaurant a try. Ordered the seafood platter for Togo which supposed to have a lobster tail in it. They didn't give me the lobster tail with my order which was pretty expensive. I've reached out to the restaurants a couple of times and no response. Never coming back.
