This location is inside the University Market & Taqueria. Krispy Krunchy has it's own small booth inside on the right hand side of the store. I came on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait and very empty. It was sad as there was not many chicken pieces available. Im not sure if they are not cooking as fast or if the demand for chicken is not available at this location. Chicken was ok. The breast was tender and juicy. The tenders were dry and rough. Typical fast food similar to KFC and Popeyes. But due to the out of way location and the non existent customers, would prefer to go to Popeyes or El pollo Loco which are fresh and slammed all the time. read more

This Krispy Krunchy Chicken is located inside the University Market & Taqueria and has a fairly clean bathroom customers can use. Unfortunately, the chicken and wedges were extremely dry and lacking in flavor. It's possible the chicken was sitting under the lights for far too long even though we arrived in the early afternoon. Also, the wedges were ridiculously large so we threw them away, it was literally like eating a whole boiled potato. We asked for condiments (which may have helped make the dry food more edible) and we were told they had no ketchup or condiments available. My husband suggested maybe looking through the market for bottles of condiments to purchase but that seemed pretty ridiculous to me....maybe I should have listened... The tenders were good but based on our overall experience, lacking customer service, price and poor quality of food, I would never come back to this location. read more

The chicken skin was crispy and crunchy, and had good flavor too. The biscuit was ok, more sweet than I would like. I like kfc's biscuit the best. The original sauce tasted like thousand island dressing, so I didn't use any. Honestly the chicken is so good on its own, no sauce needed. Service was exceptional and very friendly. The HUGE WEDGED FRIES WERE INEDIBLE THEY WERE HARD UNDERCOOKED TO BEGIN WITH they TASTE LIKE THEY reheated them MICROWAVED THEM FOR LATER USE. I've cooked hundred of pounds of fries over my years of adolescence and these were definitely not FRESH. Insides were yellow brown color inside hense not fresh. Love this place since we first discovered Krispy Krunchy Chicken in Oakland. It's the best ever! It is exactly what it says - Crispy and Crunchy and delicious with just a touch of spiciness. I was stuck at a hotel and so ordered delivery. It took almost 2 hours, even though the estimated delivery time was 30-40 minutes. I ordered a chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes and gravy. The sandwich was completely dry, just chicken and bread. The photos show pickles and when you order they ask if you want extra sauce, which implies that there is SOME kind of sauce.
