Ordering was easy, plenty of chicken, my wife wanted shrimp so they had to fry it on the spot. Short wait but the area at night is sketchy. There are a lot of employees refilling and stocking up that time of night, but the sketchiness of the customers makes it a little dicey. Chicken was big and juicy, wife liked the shrimp.

Gas station fried chicken is underrated. Great spot to grab chicken though the area is a bit sketchy at night if you go alone. Juicy and crunchy. You can also add on sauces like honey mustard too. Picked up a box of fried chicken on a Tuesday for lunch and it stayed warm and crunchy on the walk home. The fragrant smell wafted through the box. The skin is so crispy and I love how flavorful the meat is too. I like pairing this as a protein with a packaged salad for easy weekday lunches. Really quick line and checkout process. Order chicken at the cash register! They ask you how many pieces you want. You can also walk over to the side to see the menu and sides they have in stock. There are some Cajun sides like jambalaya that I want to try next time I stop by.

Make no mistake, this is literally gas station fried chicken. Think hole in the wall, and add a touch of carbon monoxide poisoning. But hey, I'm not going to judge a book by its cover. There aren't many southern / NOLA-style fried chicken options in the area, and my roommates and I get the hankering some times... I'd been recommended this place by some friends and seen some glowing reviews for this place specifically (out of 3 locations), so we were extremely keen on checking it out. We've gone twice now, and there can be some sketchy characters hanging around, but haven't had any problems going at night. Buddy up... It's open late night and that for sure is worth having around. No sit down, all the food is out under heat lamps, you pay at the counter and take it to go. That being said, I think you can get in and out in minutes, unless they're out of chicken and another batch is in the works. Trust me, that is a very good problem to have. The value of this place is truly mythical. The buckets come out to $1-2/piece which by any standard, most of all by SF's, is unicorn-status. Important logistics note: Flooring it on the 15min drive home, frantically rushing through the door, and getting everything out onto the table, still yields chicken that is indeed *krispy* Review of the dark meat: Skin: Delicate, not quite as flaky as peak Popeyes, but pretty freakin close. Flabor: You can tell there's some secret seasoning magic going on here. Again- not quite popeyes, but real close. My roommates and I all agree that the chicken tends to be quite salty, but not a dealbreaker. Meat: Super tender and the flavor penetration is real. A bite into it and you might see orange residuals (???) inside the chicken. Flavor injection? Must be. But I'm not gonna question it. Just take my money. I'll be back. Guiltily too soon.

A bartender recommended this place to us for the best fried chicken in town, so here we are. Who would've thought that a gas station will serve up some crispy and crunchy fried chicken? The two of us ordered an 8 piece dark meat fried chicken (thighs and legs) (~$9) and a honey butter biscuit (69cents) with two drinks. It was convenient to grab some other drinks, snacks, and essentials since it was a gas station. Everything came in a cute carton box that looked like a barn. We carried it over to Dolores Park to enjoy, which was pretty nice. The fried chicken was solid and tasty --definitely met the crispy and crunchy aspects. The muffin was different than I was expecting as it was more like a fried honey blueberry muffin, but quite delicious as well! The sweetness was a bit overwhelming, but paired nicely with the savory fried chicken. Note: I like that this place is open 24 hours!

On our way to another restaurant, my coworker friend decided to check out the fried chicken place (as she calls it). I've never been there or heard of it until she kept telling me there's a great fried chicken place inside the gas station. Wait, what? Gas Station Fried Chicken? Yep, I was pretty skeptical. And they were 24 hours..... We walked from work, it was a pretty long walk if you had to walk by yourself, but I was with my coworker friend so it wasn't too bad. About 6-7 blocks later, we arrive inside the gas station.. it's a pretty cramped space with lots of candies and things to buy. At the left of the register was a section of their fried chicken and a whole menu of things. Their fried chicken is not oily and it lives up to its named.. it's Crispy and Crunchy! Their potato wedges are just average, by the time you get to eat it at the office, they're soft and soggy so meh! Their biscuits are really tasty though. It's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside (that's what you really want anyway). Their fried shrimp is average, I think it's the frozen kind and they just fry it up for you. If you're ever in the area, get their chicken, it's GOOD.. I would say better than KFC, and on the same level as Popeyes!! YUMMMMM!! For those who like their spicy, it has a little mild kick to it. (I only like the chicken's dark meat.. ) I def would be back to get more chicken and their biscuits!

This place is located in a gas station, and they have their fried chicken sitting there under like a heat lamp. Sounds not so good right? Surprisingly, it was quite delicious and a fair price as well! The fried chicken had a nice flavorful batter and the chicken was cooked decently well (though I guess this would depend on timing, as it's probably better to come when its busy so there is always fresh chicken). And the chicken comes with a blueberry muffin biscuit which was delicious! It was so decadent and you could really taste the oil or butter or whatever it was along with all of the sweetness. Overall quite a surprise that ended up being rather delicious!

Bad service, great chicken! I ordered in advance for pick up, the cornbread tasted old, and it wasn't what we ordered. Thankfully it was ok.

The atmosphere really stands out, with a cool 50s theme that makes the whole experience feel unique and memorable. The burger was the highlight of the meal--juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. It's exactly what you'd hope for from a place like this. The fries were decent, but nothing special--good enough, just not as standout as the burger. The cheese sticks were tasty and cooked well, but at around $18, they felt a bit overpriced for what you get. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and kept things moving smoothly. Overall, it's a great place to visit for the experience, solid food, and fun atmosphere. Not perfect across the board, but definitely a spot I'd recommend checking out at least once if you're in San Francisco.

That's actually how you pick up your order ahead since they no longer use the shelf that's there and keep everything behind the counter. Overall, it's not too bad for picking up lunch, though the area isn't great so I wouldn't eat here in person.

I'm a regular at Chipotle, and this time I decided to order something different…read more I ordered a Steak Taco with a soft flour tortilla, fajita veggies, and cheese ($4.35). I also ordered another soft flour tortilla on the side ($0.50 extra) and added black beans, fresh tomato salsa, and roasted chili-corn salsa on the side, bringing the total to $4.85. I opened the extra soft flour tortilla and added the black beans, fresh tomato salsa, and roasted chili-corn salsa, then placed the steak taco with the fajita veggies and cheese on top. It ended up looking and eating more like a mini steak burrito, which was a very good value for the price. Unfortunately, the steak was too fatty, rubbery, and difficult to chew. I was expecting leaner pieces of steak. I also found the fajita veggies to be extremely salty. In fact, I had to drink three cups of water after finishing my meal because of the saltiness. I've eaten at multiple Chipotle locations, and I've noticed the fajita veggies are consistently very salty. I think Chipotle could easily cut the amount of salt in half without affecting the flavor. Next time, I won't order the steak again because of the fatty, tough meat. Overall, for $4.85, turning a taco into what felt like a mini burrito was still a very good value.

The wait itself was frustrating, but the real issue was the woman taking orders. She genuinely didn't care. I understand burnout - I worked in the food industry, so I get how exhausting customer facing jobs can be. But it was NOT busy. She was not overwhelmed with customers or orders. She was just standing there on her phone, completely disengaged. At one point she put her headphones in and was talking on them while people in the kitchen were making orders. There were at least 4 orders sitting on the counter behind her, and she never checked once. There were only 2 of us and one other customer standing there waiting, clearly confused, for over 30 minutes. She even started getting ready to leave as if it was totally normal that people were still standing there waiting for food. No communication. No checking. No sense of responsibility. You could tell the kitchen staff was annoyed too because she was doing absolutely nothing. When we finally asked for a refund, she offered a whole pizza instead. For what? To wait another 30+ minutes? With conference traffic from Moscone Center and movie nights this place could be making money, but somehow it takes over 30 min for a mini pizza with 0 customer awareness. Never again.
