There aren't many southern / NOLA-style fried chicken options in the area, and my roommates and I get the hankering some times... Their potato wedges are just average, by the time you get to eat it at the office, they're soft and soggy so meh! Their biscuits are really tasty though. It's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside (that's what you really want anyway). Their fried shrimp is average, I think it's the frozen kind and they just fry it up for you. It was only a matter of time before I had try the infamous fried chicken from a gas station in the Mission. There is something satisfying about bypassing pricey vegan fine dining and chomping on some gas station fried chicken at a nearby parklet while drinking blue soda. It was reasonably priced and decent tasting, but I feel like it could have been so much better if it just came out of the fryer (instead of sitting under a heating lamp for an unknown interval of time). 8-piece Fried Chicken: Better than Safeway fried chicken, but can't hold a torch to Popeye's. The spices were nice, but the chicken didn't seem that fresh. The meat wasn't terribly juicy and the skin was only moderately crunchy. I imagine that since it comes from a place primarily visited to buy gas, it doesn't have a high turnover rate. I'd really like to taste to fresh out of the fryer to understand how it really compares to other fried chicken fast food. Biscuit: Wasn't a fan.
