Just came from Kristof's. Extremely disappointed. Will not be going back. Today is MLK day. I got there at 2:05 pm. Was only going to have a salad. Manager comes out and tells me the grill is closed down. I say, that's fine. I'm just having a salad. She says I'm sorry, we can't serve you. We're closed. (It was 2:05 pm). I told her I had just driven all the way from Hollywood. Nope. Meanwhile, they're still bringing lots of food out of the kitchen. Their normal hours are until 3 pm. They (she) have/has apparently gotten full of themselves, which is never a good sign for a restaurant. The same "manager" has produced attitude before and I've heard her talking shity to some of the employees. Bye. Never going back. The food isn't that good to put up with that kind of attitude and disrespect. Went to Tin Cup in Cooper City, instead. Had a nice salad and a bowl of stuffed pepper soup, which was excellent. Local diners for the win! Growing up my family went to brunch pretty often at local diners around me and I was so happy to find this place! I haven't found many other local breakfast spots in the area. We ordered a spinach and feta omelette, hashbrowns, and a white chocolate pumpkin waffle. Kristof's Kafe holds a very special place for me because I always thought of it as the best local breakfast cafe in Broward. I would argue that any day of the week. Maybe I am biased since I live 5 minutes away. The pictures don't do any justice until you see your food on a plate in front of you in person. This is a family owned establishment, very small and popular. There is always a wait, especially on the weekends so make sure you get there early. I've heard of people getting stuck in hour long waits. They offer many specialty items on the menu made fresh to order. I am a sweet and salty kind of guy so I always like to have a combination of items when I order. My personal favorite is the Banana Pecan French Toast. The texture of the french toast is so light and fluffy which pairs well with the bananas, cinnamon, pecans and syrup. This has to be one of my all time favorite breakfast items. For the savory item I like to get their homemade corned beef hash. I've had other items on their menu like the country fried steak and their chocolate chip pecan waffle which were spectacular. The spinach feta omelette is to die for. Once again, only been here for breakfast and hope to be there for lunch in the future. Moved into the area and was suggested to try Kristof's Kate. So my sister and I did. Seems lovely. It was busy for a Thursday but not so busy service and quality would need to suffer. Well, let me start with kindness. The place is clean and cosy. Service was fast but this is where it ends. The waiter was to the point. I ordered corn beef hash with eggs my sister ordered chicken salad sandwich with tots. She had stomach issues and asked for ranch rather than let ketchup. So she was charged an extra dollar. So if we are going to be petty lets be petty. So why didn't they credit her the cost of ketchup. When my food got to me my eggs are over cooked and the hash was dry. I said something and was reprimanded by The waiter, tells me that they make their food from scratch. Well that's great but everybody else serves Corn beef hash a certain way, and what I was presented with was not what I was expecting, and the eggs are over cooked. So he said we don't remove food from the bill. Ok I wasn't expecting to have bad over cooked food. I asked for the manager and she kept to the line we don't take food back. At this point we are upset and just paid for the check to be told they charge 3% for credit cards. I said I'm paying with my bank card still a extra charge. I get a response from the owner who never called me on yelp. Defending all of the bad service and saying I order the eggs that way! Wow! So NO I WONT BE GOING THERE EVER AGAIN AND I WANT YOU THE PUBLIC TO KNOW NOT to order the corn beef hash and be specific about your eggs and pray they have a cook who knows how to fry eggs not just burn them. You will usually do a line but this place has a loyal following from what I've been told and it certainly has something to do with the very good food and the great service. Got my hash browns just like I wanted them. Loved the toast, yes not everyone knows how to prepare toast believe it or not. Oh man, I'm going to have such a hard time with this review, but I feel I have to do it. Wife and I were running errands Saturday morning. We hardly make this far our west during the day, but this time we did. When we arrived, there were about 20 visible customers waiting outside waiting for a table, I went inside and I asked for the waiting time, which they said would be 20-40 min(what a weird range). So we were there and really wanted to try this place so we decided to stay. The wife went to get a haircut next door, came back and nothing. About an hour later we finally were called and directed to our table. Ok, so now we are siting, it's s past noon and we are ready to eat. Well we didn't have anyone come to ask for our drinks until 20 mins later, we didn't even had water or nothing. When the waitress finally came to take our order for drinks we were ready to order, so we did. Our food came out fairly quick which is good cause by then it had been almost two hours there. The food was definitely good, the wife ordered a Peach Bellini and stuffed Strawberry toast and I went for a Bloody Mary and Cornedbeef hash, like I said food was amazing and I wish I would go back... am I? I don't think so. I have to say they have 15 tables and four stools at the bar, there were 4 waitress and one food runner, so they were not understaff or whatsoever, the problem is poor management. As I type this up I am cravingggg their funnel cake fries! I would wait forty five minutes again just for some! We went on a Sunday morning and it was packed so get there early! There were many people waiting outside. I didn't mind waiting since I've been waiting forever to go. We ordered the corn beef hash, a croissant, a Bloody Mary, a side of biscuit and gravy and one of the egg specials that comes with a few sides. They were all tasty. I love a good, no frills breakfast place. I came here on probably their busiest rush of the week: Saturday morning. We tried to get there a little early (probably around 8:30/9) and had just a 10-15 minute wait. But as we dined the wait easily doubled/tripled for those who came after. My family and I used to come here almost every week to have breakfast. We loved the wait staff. They always greeted us like family. We moved and Covid-19 hit so it has been a while. I was in the mood for a good burger so I stopped by for a late lunch. I didn't see anyone from the old staff. She asked me if I wanted a cup of soup, I said sure, that's good enough. I only ordered water to drink. She asked if I wanted the soup first and I did. The cup of soup was brought out. It was good. Not great. A bit on the salty side. The burger came out with a basket of fries. It was brought out by someone else besides Jessica. She asked me if I needed anything else and I asked for tobacco sauce and more water. Both were brought to me. Again, no pleasantries or enjoy your meal. I felt like I was an imposition to these servers. The burger was well done, not medium as I had ordered so it was a bit dry. The fries were very good. Hot and crispy. I needed more water and Jessica did come by to see they I needed a refill and she did. She did ask me the obligatory "how's everything?" But without any sincerity. It was a very uncomfortable experience. After I had finished, she came by and asked if I needed a box for the fries. I said yes. But I felt like it was a lot of fries to come with a burger. When I got the check, I realized why. Instead of charging me $8.99 for a burger that comes with fries, she charged me $2.00 more to substitute the cup of French onion soup for the fries and charged me $3.99 for a basket of fries. I waited until Jessica came back out to the dining room. I was waiting for her by the bar area. I let her know that she charged me $10.99 for the cheeseburger and another $3.99 for a basket of fries. I said I ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a French onion soup. It should have been $8.99 and &3.99 for the soup which I would have gotten a bowl of, not a cup. I figured the cup was cheaper. But instead she was able to charge me more and getting less. Her answer was, "if you want me to change it, I will". I said yes because that's not right. She brought back a corrected check and just said "here you go". No apology or anything. I paid with cash and still left her $3.00 which was more than 20%. I was a server for many years and I would not have left her anything less. I felt like she didn't do the right thing and that the wait staff is not as kind, inviting or pleasant as they used to be. The food is nothing special and not cheap. So there are plenty of other restaurants that have better food and service. Such a shame. This used to be such a good place to come to. Their dining area slightly on the smaller side but there usually no crazy waits at the door. Service is superb and friendly, very attentive. So I was invited here by a coworker who had mentioned how good this place was for brunch and I love a good brunch. The restaurant is very simple on the inside and the staff seems friendly. I started with a glass of OJ which the server told me they get from a local farm and it tasted like it too. So a good start with the OJ. We got sweet potato waffle fries with marshmallow sauce as an appetizer, and they were delicious! I couldn't stop eating the things even after I got my main order. I order the french toast in brioche bread and stuffed with Nutella and strawberries and it was good as it came but a lot better with the syrup. I thought it was sweet enough, but in my opinion it needed the syrup to make it better. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to try a new brunch place. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the mood for some brunch. read more

Lots of choices for both breakfast and lunch. Hard to choose! I opted for lunch with a cup of tomato bisque and a Rueben sandwich. Both very good. The Ruben is in my top 3 for sure. This was our first time here. We were looking for an alternative to Denny's, IHOP, or a bakery when we saw this place with high ratings. It is a bit of a drive for us, but nothing like a fun adventure with food at the end of the trail. Upon arrival, we were seated and this place was already full with patrons. We were politely and promptly seated at a nicely cleaned table. Our wait staff was on-point with good knowledge of the menu, suggested items, and options available. I mentioned 'wait staff' because we had 3 different servers attending us. This is not the norm for 99% of the restaurants out there, but that's because other restaurants have assigned wait staff for specific tables & you may have to ask another server to get your server because they forgot to being you something so you can enjoy your meal while it's hot, or they just forgot about you. Well, NOT here. They work together as a team. As a result, we found out that they pool their tips. They double & triple the average service over other restaurants. I'm a believer that tips are just that - not a guarantee (Not going to debate about why I should be giving a 30% tip on my bill because someone is just doing their job, vs them going above the expected norm to deserve my hard earned $$. It is, after all, my hard earned $$.) This is a win for customers and the servers. Customers get, and wait staff ensures, there is attentive service. As a result the tip should be more (excellent service here). The wait staff team all have skin in the game and hold each other accountable for providing quality service, which they do. The business gets happy repeat customers and recommendations that draw new customers. Very smart. Glasses were promptly filled and any additional sweetener or cream for the delicious coffee, napkins, etc. were checked and quickly provided. Our breakfast choices were delicious! The sausage gravy was better than Cracker Barrel or other restaurants. The flavors of ham, bacon, & sausage were independent and not just visually different. The eggs were perfect and the potatoes were incredible. We will definitely return and tell others about Kristof's Kafe. read more

1st time eating here, food was very good and well priced. What I didn't like was the sitting arrangements. Too small of a place to have so many tiny 2 seater tables which are about 1 foot away from each other. It was my husband and I, we were sat between two families...super close and very awkward, we really couldn't have a normal conversation because we were pretty much squished between two tables. It's so awkward that even the servers can't get close enough to hand you the plate of food. They do have a few booths, I'm assuming you must get there early for those OR you must wait for an open one. If we decide to go again, we will probably make it a point to get there early for a booth. read more
