The portions are good as is the presentation. The flavor lacks a certain umph. I would say the positive is by far the vibe. I would replace the buns on the burgers with something a little less dry. The colcannon had good presentation, but lacked any kick. I would come back, but it wouldn't be strictly for the food. read more

OMG!!! This place is all around awesome!!! I recommend making a reservation ahead of time so you don't have to wait. We enjoyed a couple of their cocktails, the beer cheese and pretzels. The Italian sausage was to die for!!! The decor and atmosphere here is so amazing!!! We went up to the patio after eating and enjoyed one last drink but it is not spacious because that's where everyone wants to be on a nice day! Cannot wait to come back to this place! Really awesome spot with a great vibe and cool rooftop seating. I was really excited when I saw the homeade sausage! Unfortunately the two I was most excited about, the Jagerwurst and the Lincolnshire, were both unavailable. Not sure if it was just a bust night or what (Monday night??) but regardless a bit disappointing. Instead I went for the Cuban, and man it was good! And massive. The waiter was really gentle and explained all the menu to us with accuracy, although he was only speaking to my girlfriend (but I don't think that's a good reason to downgrade to 3 stars...). Cute little place in the heart of OTR. They have a couple of tables that are indoor/outdoor, in the nice weather, that offer great people watching. The burgers were really good...I had the veggie burger. I'm not usually a veggie burger person but this was delicious and really tasted more like meat than most. It comes with an aioli that you're going to want to sneak home in your purse. Not that I did that. My husband had a burger with blue cheese and loved it...both were cooked well and good quality. I've been here several times and I never have a single complaint, the burgers are always so fresh and juicy. Everyone I go with always rave about their veggie burgers even the meat eaters I know order it instead of beef though I've yet to try it myself. The aoli with the fries is absolutely incredible. Came here on accident on date night when we actually meant to go to Bakersfield. Best mistake ever! Our server was so sweet and informative. I absolutely loved my veggie burger and can really say it was the best one I have ever had! It was a littler longer wait for all of the burgers to cook, but we had 6 people in our party. The burgers are large so be prepared, but I would definitely recommend getting a side of Fries to split with someone because it ended up being the perfect amount of food. If you love pesto, the veggie burger is for you with their unique pesto mayo. The fries already have salt and pepper on them, so if you aren't a fan of that ask for it off because the pepper was kind of strong. Okay place if you like meat and German sausage. But I don't recommend if you have any dietary restrictions. I asked for a salad because that was the only dish they had without meat or cheese and they provided plain kale without dressing or toppings and I was still charged $10, very disappointed. read more

My review is based on the service I got. I have been at this place many times before and I was told that the veggie burger was vegan friendly. Apparently the servers I had before needed more training since it's not vegan friendly (made with eggs). The only item that can be made vegan in there is french fries (yay). Mark (the server we had that day, went above and beyond to make sure I was getting something other than french fries and I ended up having a "veggie sandwich" which was pretty good. I really appreciate his honesty and all his efforts for helping me out. If you are looking for a nice and knowledgeable server ask for Mark! I really wish they would have a vegan option on their menu. read more

I live around the corner and have frequented this bar/restaurant ever since I moved to Cincy a little over a month ago. The beer selection is solid (They do pretty much exclusive craft cans as an homage to the original canners of beer, which they are named after) and they have a good variety of local brews. The food is pretty awesome. Great burgers and fries as well as some tasty beer cheese. Through my experiences I have had great service. I had a bartender named Alex once, a tall skinny brown haired fella another time whose name I can't recall but he was a server out on the upstairs patio. They both did a great job of recommending items on the menu and just generally being easy to talk to. You should check this place out in bustling OTR if you're thirsty or hungry! read more
