Great Mexican food & Service. My husband had the Chori Pollo and said it was the best he's ever had. I had the Hot & Spicy Burrito, stuffed with shrimp, chicken, steak, grilled onions & mushrooms and topped with queso, jalapeño & avocado! It was great! The queso appetizer was great too. We were in town for a few days playing golf and saw all the good reviews so we wanted to give it a try. They were moderately busy as we are still in 'covid' mode they could only seat a limited # of patrons . We were greeted and sat promptly, then our drink order and food order was taken. All is well. But thats where it ended . 3 of our entrees came out and it was 20+ minutes until the last member of our party received their food . Then we had to wait another 5 minutes to ask for silverware and some refills. Was probably the worst service at a mexican restaurant we have received in a long long time ................. the food was average. It was hot and fresh but the guac was bland the rice was bland and the bad service just made it worse . Idk what all the hype is about but we wont be back . read more

I was in Georgetown at lunchtime on a Monday for an appointment and stopped in here for lunch based on it's Yelp rating. At the suggestion of the waitress, I got the lunch buffet. It was a nice change to see a Mexican restaurant with a buffet. The food was good, but not labeled, so it was hard to tell what you were eating. As a vegetarian, I struggled with knowing what contained meat and what didn't. Signs identifying the food would certainly help. But, the food I got (including the cheese dip, which I was shocked to find out is included with the buffet) was very good. The price was decent, at only $8.99. The service was very slow, though. I stood at the front door for almost 5 minutes waiting to be greeted (even though multiple staff members walked right by me). Then, when I was finally greeted, I was asked if I wanted a menu, which seemed odd (I didn't know at the time that they had a buffet, since it's in the back corner of the restaurant). Then, after I gave her a quizzical look, she said "or the buffet?" I explained it was my first time there then told her I wanted the buffet. I was then told to sit wherever I wanted and she walked away. So, I was not impressed with the service. I'm sure it's better at night, but if you're going to be open for lunch, the service should be just as good then. read more

The first time that I ate here they didn't offer the buffet but they had and still have $6.99 all you can eat burritos, tacos and enchiladas at lunch time. Yes, you can order any or all three over and over. I'm not sure if the buffet is only offered during lunch or not, but when I looked at it and the few items offered, it didn't appeal to me so I stuck with the all you can eat tacos that you order with the waiter. The service was very slow both times that I went there, I think the waiters share duties, or maybe another waiter felt bad for us and attended to a refill here and there. My daughter ordered the $7.99 lunch chicken fajitas. They looked wonderful to me but she said that there wasn't a lot of chicken and that the guacamole that came with it was "soupy". I ordered a chicken burrito, chicken soft taco and chicken hard taco. They all three came with the watery pulled chicken concoction and not the grilled chicken like in fajitas that I prefer.The burrito was smothered in red sauce and I should've asked to do without (note to self for next time). It comes with beans and rice too so I've never ordered a second round, since it is an all you can eat option and all... All in all, it's a pretty solid place, tucked inside an unexpected shopping center. My husband, who is in the area more often than I am, likes the other Mexican buffet close by... but that one is only offered Monday-Friday and here at La Antigua the buffet is offered on the weekends too. read more

Worst service we have had at almost any Mexican restaraunt and the food was horrible. We came in at a time where it was not busy at all with our son. There were two other parties of two people. Server brought our drinks and took appetizer orders. The server brought out the queso and put it literally right in front of our son. Of course being a kid, he was curious and put his fingers in the dip as soon as he put it down. Thank goodness it was not scorching hot but he was clearly uncomfortable when he felt it. The server just muttered an "oops" when this happened, which made me very livid. Who puts hot food right in front of a child?! When we got started on the food after he brought it that was the last time we saw the server. He did not even bring refills or check in after we had been finished eating for over 25 minutes. He must have forgotten about us completely, not to mention the food was so burnt it was like chewing on rubber. I ordered steak burritos that were burnt to a crisp and my husband ordered a taco salad which was almost inedible. After we were tired of waiting so long for the check we had to go up to the counter to ask for the check. The server finally shows up and has the gall to ask, "Couldn't wait any longer?" Needless to say, this will be the last time we come to this restaurant. read more

We were in town last weekend for Breyerfest and knew nothing about the area so relied heavily on yelp. Hotel employee suggested a different restaurant for Mexican food, boy am I glad I followed my gut to this wonderful establishment. My husband and I came in for the first time the other night due to a recommendation from a friend. It made our night! We felt bad for showing up 30 minutes till close, but the staff was welcoming and the service was quick. We were really in the mood for real authentic Mexican cuisine and that's exactly what we got. Enjoyed chips and salsa and margaritas while we waited which wasn't very long. Food came out hot and delicious. The staff didn't try to rush us off or give any kind of inclination they were upset with us being there so close to closing. We were out by 10:00 fully satisfied! When me and my husband moved to Georgetown last May we tried every Mexican restaurant and always left wanting something a little better until we stumbled across this little gem tucked away in the shopping center. Great food and great service! Everyone is always so friendly and working hard. My husband tried the lunch Buffett today (Sunday) for only $6.99 and looked at me and said every Sunday for lunch yum. The food is great here and the portions are huge. The queso and chips are great. Make sure you don't accidentally order a swimming pool of a margarita when you didn't mean to. This is a very nice place to eat. The food is wonderful. My wife ordered a bowl that contained large portion of pork, beef and shrimp. It was delicious. The dish was more more barbeque than Mexican. It was about $12.00 and came with fajita shells. It would feed two people easily. They have a nice selection of beers. Locals should forget about the previous restaurants at this location. This place has been remodeled and it is very nice. Ask the servers to recommend a dish. They are very helpful. read more

Ehh. I'm a huge fan of Mexican food, and Georgetown has about 5 Mexican restaurants. This once is my least favorite. I went right after it opened so things may have changed, but nothing will make me leave my beloved Mi Casita. I have to have both rice and beans with my meal or it's not Mexican food. La Antigua had you choose between the two, so I had to pay extra to get both. My food was okay, a bit bland and nothing exciting or comforting about it. read more
