We had a large party, so I called and they were able to reserve a large table on the patio. The patio is super charming and inviting and has some heaters as well if necessary. They have quite a lot to choose from on the menu from your classic breakfast items to more French cuisine like crepes and croquettes. I ordered the fried chicken biscuit and it was HUGE! I mean HUGE!!!! It also came with a side of potatoes and a tiny side salad which was different, but good. We ordered a carafe of mimosas and a few bloody Mary's which received raving reviews! Made reservations on Open Table for a group of 8 for 11am on a Sunday. Our group grew and Open Table wouldn't let me update my group size without also changing our time, so I called the restaurant. They were able to accommodate our now group of 10 without issues. Half of our group arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were greeted and seated immediately. La Belle Vie is a new French restaurant located in the Suwanee Jubilee Neighborhood Shoppes. The space is gorgeous! It's open and naturally bright with modern chic decor. Although the space isn't huge, it can seat 100 or so people comfortably. Plenty of parking. Once seated, our server introduced herself and gave us time to wait for the rest of the group. Once all the members of our party arrived, we ordered. I tried the following: Coffee White Chocolate Mocha (with almond milk) Honey Croissants $5 Brioche French Toast $13 Oxtail Toast $16 A couple of us asked our server if they offered milk substitutes for the coffee. After checking, she returned and apologized that they only offer regular milk. I decided to order regular coffee. However, 10-15 minutes later, I noticed a staff member walk in with a carton of almond milk. Our server came back to our table and informed us that they had sent someone to the store to get us almond milk. How nice! My SIL and I quickly changed our drink orders to white chocolate mocha with almond milk and no whip. The honey croissants came with four small, soft and heavenly croissants! Our server had jokingly said that we each needed our own basket and she was right. I could have easily devoured all 4 within minutes, but decided to share instead. The brioche french toast was topped with berry compote, candied walnuts, powdered sugar, and applewood bacon. Yummy! Satisfied my huge sweet tooth. I couldn't finish it all, so I took half to go. I also got a few bites of my SIL's oxtail toast and that was fantastic! So many flavors in one bite! We ordered 3 omelettes, 2 coffees and small croissants. Price was expensive $80 including tip. Omelettes were ok. The salad that came with it was miniature. Coffee was served with no real cream. Potatoes were a farce: roasted and served with ketchup. There was icing on the croissants; why? I could not find regular espresso on the menu; just some blend with artificial flavor. After they served us the omelettes we had to ask for utensils. They simply forgot it. Good service is part of french culture. I'm a fan! Already thinking about my next meal/visit to La Belle Vie. We dined here for a dear girlfriend's birthday. Decor is on point! Very well set up inside. Food was delicious from start to end. Enjoyed our appetizers- Brie and calamari. Generous portions and came out nice and fresh. I also enjoyed their complimentary bread which I heard it's H&F bread which I'm a fan of. Our entrees were all generous potions and very tasty. A girlfriend and I ordered two entrees and wanted to share. They were nice thoughtful to appoint both entrees for us. I really enjoyed the lobster and scallops risotto. The scallops and lobster was cooked perfectly and the scallops were huge! I really appreciated that. David the bartender was our server and he was good. Serving us in betweenhandling the bar which didn'tprovide us the level of service for the menu price. The water there is truly "tap" water and you can tell by the taste. Another server stopped and asked if everything was ok. I explained that The filet had a good flavor, but was tough to cut and chew. He offered to remake the filet, but I explained they would be using the same quality of meat and that would not change anything. The server stated he would let the manager and cook know my concerns. If he did let them know they never came out to address my concerns and see the amount of meat I left on my plate. The shrimp meal was good. Risotto had a good flavor. Worst meal in a long time! Nothing we ate was any good: I could prepare a better meal myself. The beats and burrata salad was a bed of mixed underdressed arugula with about 10 small cubes of undercooked beats and a cold piece of burrata from a jar from Costco (what it tasted like). This used to be a favorite spot. We went last for New Year's Eve. The server was inexperienced, which would be fine if everything else was good. Service was slow and drinks were slow. And it was not very busy. The food though is not like it used to be. One in our party ordered steak au poivre. He said it was fine, but definitely not steak au poivre. My husband's food was tasteless and he sent it back. It was supposed to be spicy and just wasn't at all. I had the lamb chops and they were overdone. Cocktails also were not very good. This had been a favorite spot for special occasions and a nice brunch. Not sure if ownership has changed or what. Visited on Saturday and something is very different here from past visits. Bartender had zero training and the other women that came to help was totally clueless of how to make a proper drink. They didn't know how to make a Manhattan, vodka martini or anything at all. French onion soup was so salty I couldn't eat it. Pasta was stuck together as if they don't know how to properly cook it. Appetizer was good- calamari and mussels. In all the servings need temperature control. Food was cold. I like to eat food at the recommended temperature to be served. Flavor great for both items. My duck confit was little dry and not much flavor. Drippings from the fat glazed with the meat would have been sufficient. It was served with very dark gravy that didn't render added flavor to the not much flavor of the duck meat. Entree served with salad which drew me to order the dish but found it uninviting as it was soaked with dressing, again with not much flavor. Maybe serve with it on the side. Even on the most packed days I have recent excellent customer service and delicious meals. La Belle Vie is my go to brunch spot. It's best to reserve a table in advance as they do get extremely busy and may not have available seating. Whether you order a cappuccino, a latte or my personal favorite- a mimosa- they have a really fun drink menu. I've tried a few different brunch items- omelets are ok/good, medallion and eggs are excellent... those cinnamon roll bun things are always good! I've never been for dinner so I can't say what it's like at night. It's a fun date choice or a brunch spot with girlfriends! I've read the reviews, which is why we picked this restaurant for brunch today. We were a party of 4. The restaurant was about half full and we got there about 11:30. They must have had an off day. Starting with service. The server was hard to find many times, from getting coffee to getting refills to getting the check. The atmosphere: piped in music was loud, so loud the server couldn't hear us order. The food: pancakes and strawberry and cream french toast were dry and rubbery. My wife loved her meal, which was the shrimp & spinach crepe. Except my wife never got the roasted potatoes and side salad, but since we could not find the server, this went unresolved. I went on a Thursday morning. Absolutely loved the menu options. The service was quick from the start. The baked mini croissants were fresh/drizzled with what I think was honey and condensed milk. It went so well with my hot vanilla latte. The carbonara was very creamy and savory. Lastly, the creme brulee was delicious. The inside wasn't watery like other restaurants . It was the perfect semi thick consistency of a creme brulee topped with fresh fruits and a layer of caramelized sugar. La Belle Vie is one of my favorite brunch spots in Georgia. Impressive brunch spot in Suwanee - Outdoor seating highly recommended! Decor - 5 - modern chic inside and the courtyard outside is quaint, it feels like you're a world away. Service - 5 - the hostess and waiters were all attentive. Especially quick on the drink refills! (Big plus in my book, nothing says brunch with a constant stream of hot coffee and mimosas). Croque Madame - 5 - the buttery flaky croissant makes this. A classic brunch sandwich, what can I say? I'm a sucker for runny gooey egg goodness that I can mop up with the croissant! Soft Shell Crab Benedict - 4 - the etouffee sauce was a bit pungent and overpowered the egg. However when eaten all together with the crab it was well balanced. We have been so excited to try La Belle Vie and it did not disappoint! We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday. I was able to get a reservation the same day about 2 hours in advance. Upon arrival, we were sat right away. The place was packed and tables were turned over consistently during our visit. It was so nice to see a restaurant busy. Our experiences as of late have been in empty restaurants, even in times we imagined there would be others. So this was such a nice change and I totally know why everyone swarms here! If La Belle Vie is on your list definitely pay them a visit you will not regret it. We ordered: (2) Regular Coffees $5.90 Mini Croissant Basket $5.00 Oxtail Grit Bowl $18 Pork Belly BLT $15.00 The service was wonderful. We never felt rushed even though we could see there was a need for our table. We were offered condiments and our coffees and waters were always refilled without needing to ask. The mini croissant basket was a lovely addition to our coffee - which was also delicious. Restaurant coffee can sometimes be lacking - but the coffee here was piping hot and so delicious. The croissants were crispy and flaky in all the ways a croissant should be. There was a sweet glaze and a sprinkling of salt. They were perfect. The Oxtail Grit Bowl was phenomenal. I am usually an eggs benedict girl myself, but there were so many yummy options I decided to try something else. I recommend adding hot sauce to the grit bowl. The oxtail was so tender and flavorful. Egg was yummy. Grits were creamy. It was awesome. Hubby got the Pork Belly BLT and really enjoyed it. The fries were really good and I admittedly stole a few to dip in my egg yolk. I took a bite of the BLT and it was pure bliss. The sweet from the onion jam is a really nice contrast to the saltiness of the pork. The arugula provides a nice bite, too. Bread was buttered and toasted to perfection. My only critique is the sandwich seemed like it was screaming for some acidity. I think tossing the arugula in some lemon juice - or something - really would have taken this to the next level. Either way, it is both salty and sweet, provides lovely different textures, and is all around a really great sandwich. One thing I will say regarding covid precautions is that there was no mask mandate while walking through the restaurant. There were several parties that came in without masks and were walked through the restaurant to be sat. We enjoyed the playlist for the most part - but I will say Cardi B's WAP played and I almost spat out my coffee. I kept looking around to see if anyone noticed but we seemed to be the only ones giggling. Seemed to clash with the vibe they were going for but at least it was the "clean version." Admittedly, we're brunch snobs. My wife and I have always loved getting out for a Sunday Brunch and while the pandemic curtailed our adventures of late, I made the executive decision to select, coordinate, and execute a return to normalcy for this Mother's Day (2021). To be honest, we've tried a few spots for brunch in the area and while they've had their ups and downs, I haven't had my wife comment about any restaurant being a brunch home run (near our home) until she got in the car after yesterday's experience at La Belle Vie Kitchen in Suwanee. I can say the experience was easy form reserving on Open Table a few weeks back to arriving at the restaurant yesterday and getting seated. We opted for a table on the patio over the high top option in the dining room. While the sun most likely burned my head a bit (I managed to have shade for about half of our meal until the earth rotated just enough to cast the shadow from the awning off to the side, I will say it was worth the experience. My wife ordered a French 75, my daughter a blackberry cocktail, and I had the customary Bloody Mary. The salt rimmed pint glass with the perfectly spiced mix were the perfect accompaniment to sharing cards and opening presents for Mother's Day. You MUST MUST MUST order the mini croissants with the honey drizzle as a starter. When our meal came, the choices did not disappoint. Whenever I have the change to get a Hash and Eggs option, that's immediately where I go and the perfectly executed sunny side egg over a fork tender short rib with potatoes, onions, and peppers were world class. My daughter ordered the Confit & Brie Burger which I was able to sink my teeth into before she finished it. The burger is on their dinner menu too, so I may have that on an upcoming date night (we'll be back, sans kids). As for my wife's meal, she declared it the best meal of the three, a Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, and I have to think I agree with her after snagging a bite of that as well. The eggs were once again perfectly timed with the warm cakes, dripping yolk goodness from beneath an exemplary hollandaise sauce. I passed on dessert, save for an Irish coffee, but my daughter is a sucker for anything Creme Brûlée and while I didn't manage to get a sample of that (I was stuffed), my wife had one spoonful which was the proverbial icing on the cake. Came here for brunch. The prices are quite high and the food was very disappointing. We had the avocado croissant benedict and the crème brûlée French toast. The croissant was not fresh and dry. The accompanying potatoes were not freshly prepared and the salad was soaked in dressing. The entire dish was pile high with arugula for some reason. Overall awful. We used to LOVE this place. We went on opening night as well as the first day they served brunch. We went almost weekly for dinner - it was so nice to have something local that felt special, had delicious food, and was always reliable. Sadly, since it changed owners it is just not the same experience. We have gone 3-4 times under the new ownership since we thought (hoped) it might just be growing pains... but I think this is just the new "standard". The menu seems to have some of the same items, yet how they are made is NO WHERE near the same level of flavor and quality. I doubt the chef has any experience with French cooking. A favorite "stand by" was the Margarita pizza (we had been so happy that they had opted to keep the pizza oven from the prior restaurant). As simple as such a pizza seems, there is a trick to it - the right amount of sauce/tomatoes so the center doesn't get soggy, and also taking enough time to cook it so the cheese melts and the edges get the perfect scorched taste. The pizza (which I tried on 2 occasions) came out soggy and undercooked, and the fresh mozzarella (a plus) sat in unmelted globs. Besides the food, the service has also gone WAY down. Everyone seems nice, but with no concept on what it means to keep an eye on a table and to make sure that everything is right when they sit, when the meal is delivered, etc. We didn't get silverware when we were seated, and then had to wait for several minutes after our meals arrived to be able to eat (unless we wanted to dig in with our hands). Also, some sides were missing and took a while to arrive. The bread service used to be quick and fresh - but now comes late (after several requests) and the bread seems stale. In addition, the dipping oil has changed to something that is VERY spicy. I would have loved a 2nd glass of wine with dinner, but could never catch the attention of the server and then it just wasn't worth it. It actually makes me sad to write all this... such a great spot that is barely a shadow of it's former self. I'm assuming the new owners bought La Belle Vie because it was very successful. So why mess with the formula that brought success? I can see making some menu changes, but they should be kept in the same overall style/cuisine - otherwise there is lack of focus in the kitchen and it shows! If you want to be something entirely different, then change the name, change the format, and be transparent. They serve free breads with butter... the buns were soft but the baguette slices were quite stale. I ordered their sea bass, while it was not the best sea bass I ever had, it was still very tasty. It was soft and very flavorful. It also came with shrimps and mussels, which tasted fresh. I also got the escargot, i remembered it tasting a bit sour and the bread it came with was also stale. Lastly, their lamb lollipops came in a nice wine glaze, it did not taste gamey at all, it wasn't too tender or tough. Loved the side salad and dressing it came with. First time having brunch here. Ambiance is sophisticated and I love that there are a lot of families who have come to this spot to enjoy their Sunday brunch. I arrived right at opening and within 15 - 20 minutes, the seats were filled. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The meal was very good. The Canadian bacon is thick and the eggs were cooked as I requested. The hollandaise sauce seems to soak into the English muffin so I just ordered a side of sauce. Personally, I prefer a touch more of lemon flavor in my hollandaise sauce but the sauce was good. La Belle Vie doesn't look like much from the outside, especially inside the mall it's located within, but definitely worth checking out. If you're having to commute longer than 30minutes to get here, I would take this review with a grain of salt. Weekends tend to be a bit busy, I highly encourage you to make reservations if you plan on coming for a weekend brunch. They don't take reservations for Sundays but if you call in, they'll happily put you down on the wait list and ping you when you're table is ready. The restaurant is very quaint but has its own charm. It may be because of the younger crowds that occupy the restaurant on weekends, but it can get a little noisy. If the weather permits, they do have an outdoor seating area that tends to be a bit quieter. I've only been here for brunch a handful times so I can't speak on behalf of their dinner menu, but everything I've tried so far on their brunch menu has been solid. First time eating here...came for brunch. Best decision, hands down!!! Very cute decor and warm welcome upon entry. My hazelnut latte served HOT...thank God. Went perfectly with the mini croissants. Husband and I both had the lobster omelette with a side of french toast...phenomenal!!! Everything was flavorful and fresh. We definitely found our new brunch spot in Gwinnett!! read more

Cute brunch spot. We had a good time except we sat for too long before being attended. We had to ask who and where our server was. I had the vegan platter. My only complaint is that it's not worth $21. It was missing a vegan protein (beans, Beyond or Impossible sausage, vegan egg etc.). My friend had the salmon and loved it. Waffles were good. I had an Irish coffee and it was well made. If I go back, I'll prob only get the waffles. read more
