La Donut Truck set up for our party
    Shoshana H.

We had LA Donut Truck for my son's 3rd birthday this morning. Gabby was very easy to communicate with and did exactly what she said she would do. Not only are the donuts gorgeous but they are delicious. As good as I hoped they would be. I would highly recommend this truck for your event. We all loved it!

What can I say! They showed up to my work location so I was able to try out there famous churro doughnuts in which there were only 2 left when I got my chance to order. You can order doughnuts/ice cream separately if you want too, but I chose to do the sandwich where I had the churro doughnut with vanilla ice cream. I did not add toppings because I was afraid it would be to sweet, but you have the options to add toppings and drizzle chocolate or caramel, if you'd like. The doughnut was roughly a decent size and really good filled with churro flavor. The ice cream scoops were enormous! My friend just got ice cream and it was huge and only $3! Definitely worth it!

A friend's tasty treat. Not sure the flavor(s), but I KNOW it was amazing!

With such a last minute request, Gabby came through like a champ! Super flexible, easy-going - and just a sweetheart - I was very pleased with her service. The truck was an 'end of the night' surprise for my daughter's Sweet Sixteen birthday party. The kids (and adults) loved the donuts, ice cream, and beverages - especially the hot chocolate ('twas a cold, cold night!). Not an avid pastry person myself (although I do indulge from time to time), my chocolate glazed donut with Oreo crumbles (and mint ice cream) was delish!! Oh - and I 'sampled' some others and yes, they were just as tasty! ;-) The spread looked delightful in the display window (see pic) and service access was a breeze. Did I mention, Gabby was the sweetest?! Glad to have LA Donut Truck included in our festivities! We will certainly be keeping an eye out for you - and recommending you to all!! Continued success!

$25 preorder for a Dozen amazing Donuts and 2 coffees. So happy they came out to Central Park in Santa Clarita. Each donut had a unique flavor and tasted super fresh. Totally worth the 1 hour wait but I got thru some Netflix to pass the time. Definitely hitting them up again if they come to town or if I'm nearby their next spot. Thank you for all your hard work and appreciate all that you guys do!!!

Their donuts are amazing. I've gone the past 2 weekend to support their business. The fact that they donate a dozen for every dozen sold to a local hospital is great. If you get a chance to come out and support please do. If there is a wait, just know your waiting in your car and not in the sun on the sidewalk.

Amazing & delicious donuts! We found the $25 preorder for 1 dozen (6 fancy, 6 regular) donuts and 2 coffees on Facebook and sent the Venmo immediately. The line was worth the wait. Thank you for helping us shake things up during Safer and Home and enjoy a little treat. Also thank you for matching our purchase and donating 1 dozen to Henry Mayo Hospital. You and your employees were working so hard and my family appreciates you!

Completely upset and disillusioned by your company. Waited for an hour at the Santa Clarita Central Park to get a prepackaged set of donuts to be told that you only are taking preorders. That it was posted that way. Wrong. I am an extremely loyal supporter of homegrown and hometown businesses. This is one I will never try now.

After spending 5 hours at the DTLA Grand Park 4th of July party, I was very excited to try a donut sundae. I had been thinking about it during the entire festival, but could not go until we were leaving after the fireworks as to not leave my things unattended. Of the lineup of food trucks most had 1 maybe 2 people waiting, but the donut truck had about 6-8 people waiting. We got in line and started to make our order decisions. During the wait at least 10 other people got in line behind us. As we were getting closer to our turn on line the cashier said "that's my last customer" pointing to the gentleman in front of me. Then she waved over the police officers and had them throw over a dozen people off the line including my husband and myself. Now not only did I waste time on line, but I was cheated out of enjoying a desert ( which after coming off a 10 Day liquid fast was incredibly disappointing), I was also sort of chased away by police officers, which is kind of outrageous. I think it was incredibly odd that during what was potentially one of the busiest times, as thousands of people were leaving the main park and passing the food trucks to abruptly close, with no explanation. Throwing the dozen or so people off the line probably lost the business an extra $100 as sundaes are $8-$10 each and certainly there would have been dozens of more customers as the droves of people exiting the area seemed to have an interest in this truck over all the others.

They park near the corner of LaBrea and Sunset, setting up a few high top tables for anyone who needs immediate satiation to their hunger. I rolled up expecting young people to be serving but it was actually a very professional vibe. They were very friendly and welcoming, with the eats taking about 15 minutes to cook up. I hadn't had a Philly Cheesesteak in a minute and loved them from here. It made me feel better to find out there are from Philadelphia originally moving here in 2016 and they just missed their hometown creation. I get it...I am still seeking a good hometown Chicago hot dog out here. The Alumni Steak ($17) is their classic Cheesesteak with a bunch of fried onions on top - we liked this. I also tried their Mushrom Major Steak ($19) and loved that one. In all their cheeseteaks they use black angus beef and Amoroso rolls, but this one also includes a bunch of mushrooms sauteed in their secret sauce in the mix. Both were stuffed with protein and generously sized sandwiches! Great experience and delicious! My friends and I definitely plan on going by College Boy Cheesesteaks again soon.

These were truly the epitome of street tacos and absolutely nothing about the vibe, the service, and the FOOD, disappointed. Immediately upon arrival, I noticed the long line of people and said to myself, either this place is really good or really slow. It took me longer to decide what I wanted to try than what it took for the line to move and for it to be my turn to order. So yea, these folks are FAST and very courteous as well. They have real Al Pastor on the trompo (the spit) so of course I ordered pastor tacos and a pastor mulita. I also ordered a few SUADERO tacos which you don't find just anywhere. I am still raving about the amount of meat and flavor of the food here, it's insanely delicious. Once you get your food you make your way down to the end of the taco stand where you are met with an amazing array of fresh taco fixings and salsas. The pink creamy-habanero was the best and the green/red salsas followed right behind. I can't wait to go back to this place. It's mind blowing how a stand on the side of the road puts out better quality food than a brick/mortar taco shop..but these guys know exactly what they are doing and it was a pleasure to try their food. 20 out of 10 for this place.

I do like how they grill their meat though and they use the tortillas to scoop up the meat on the grill. Thought the al pastor was a bit salty and the cheese did not add much flavor to it, but that's probably a good thing considering the saltiness of the meat. Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats. Ambience is very casual and it's a stand while eating type of situation. Service was quick.

Although I'm guessing can be packed, busy and possible parking issues over there since it's heart of Hollywood so take that into account if driving. I will say from placing my order to delivery it was about an hour. If you do plan on going there, probably order ahead for pick up and time it. Or just do delivery because you can reheat it. So if you're in a time crunch probably not the fastest spot to order from but it's worth it either way. Hopefully the time means they're busy and great to see such a place thriving if so! Everything I had was absolutely delicious! So flavourful and I got a few things that I haven't had before from other Himalayan spots like the hakka noodles and jhol momo. My usual spot for Himalayan was always Himalayan House which is a decent but this truck is now my go-to for Himalayan food. Chicken chilly is one of my favourite dishes and this one was so balanced and spiced to perfection! Absolutely delicious and the chilly momo were just as great! The madras, butter chicken & jhol momo were sensational and the sauces were so comforting and silky. Everything had such different flavour and profile that it was great switching bites between them for the variety. The hakka noodles were great with a really lovely spice blend and just enough heat. I also love when a place has pani puri so I HAD to get that. One of my faves and oddly sometimes hard to find around LA. Overall, this was an excellent spot!! If you've got the time and willing to wait (or order ahead), it's absolutely delish and worth every second! Plus the reheat-ability for leftovers (if you even have them after first bite) is a major plus too. I really hope they do well and stick around because going to Hollywood to hangout with friends this will be a pre-hangout spot to eat in my rotation due to location/general area of service.

The truck offers a fusion of Mex-Cali style gourmet comfort food... can a food truck serve Kobe beef, let alone good filet mignon? Really?! The menu looks tempting but the prices are exorbitant to the portion. $25 for a Lobster Quesadilla... what!?! I can't image how much lobster you get for that price, even Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck's & Roll'n Lobster Food Truck's are half that. :-O It was late into lunch & I had a meeting so I ordered the KOBE PATTY MELT (kobe patty, sharp cheddar cheese, brioche toast). Ordering was fast & friendly, however, it was a bit of wait for delivery. My co-worker obviously received his loaded fries before me because he was ahead of me. There were 2 customers behind me that received their order before me. \(`0´)/WTH!?! When I finally got my sandwich, I was not impressed. It just looks like a regular burger patty. Kobe beef is a delicacy, known & valued for its fatty, well-marbled texture, flavor, & tenderness. Kobe beef is Wagyu beef from the Tajima strain of Japanese Black cattle, raised in Japan's Hyōgo Prefecture. If this is Kobe, which it isn't, then it's an injustice to the cow to be made as a patty melt; due to its scarcity, there are only 9 restaurants that serve Kobe beef as far as I'm aware of. It could be Wagyu, but it's not of quality like HiHo Cheeseburger, & my patty was overcooked... it might have tasted better at medium or medium-well. This patty melt didn't have any of the qualities of real Kobe beef, nor Wagyu beef, which I have had many times in different variations. The sharp cheddar provided a nice pungent flavor to the sandwich & the brioche toast held up well from start to finish, as it should since the meat was neither tender or juicy. It's a decent patty melt that needs to be renamed/named properly because calling this Kobe is a misnomer due to its scarcity. A touch of caramelized onions would also add some sweetness & texture to contrast the saltiness of the cheese. I felt the sandwich curbed my hunger pangs but didn't satisfy the foodie in me. With remarkably higher prices that most of the regular trucks, I do not find myself tempted to try their menu again. Recommended: Kobe Patty Melt that's not authentic Kobe.
