So Babylon is doing this thing on Tuesdays where some restaurants participate in prixe fixe menus. We came to La Famiglia thinking that this was one of the restaurants on the list. Spoiler, it's not. But we stayed and happy we did. The food was spectacular. I mean give me a bowl of penne ala vodka and I'm a happy girl, but this sauce had actual bits of prosciutto, which stole my heart. We also had the chicken Parm and a side of ceaser salad because healthy. What made this experience extra special was the service. We had at least 3 servers come up to us to make sure we were well taken care of. I especially like the homey feel of the restaurant itself. I felt like I was in my dining room having a wonderful dinner with family. Definitely give this place a try! But I do recommend going with family or group of friends as the portions are big. One of my favorite family style restaurants. It's always a pleasure going to La Famiglia. Wait staff is fantastic. They are friendly and patient as we choose between the many family style dishes they offer. We struggle to decide what we want because we know what we like but we also like trying new dishes. We ordered a bottle of red wine as we deliberated on what we were going to eat. We had 6 people in our party and we picked two appetizers and four different dishes. We had the Fried Calamari and Prosciutto wrapped Figs with Tomatoes and Mozzarella appetizers. For dinner, we split the Rigatoni La Familgia, Shrimp Oreganata, Chicken Parmagiana and one of the specials of the day, Pork Osso Bucco over potato gnocchi in a brown sauce. Everything was great! It was so good and even with all that food, we left with a very small amount of leftovers. We were wayyy too full to have dessert even though it all looked so good. The food is delicious but I would never recommend having a party here. I just had my daughters baby shower here this past weekend and I am disgusted by the way we were treated. I was torn between this restaurant and the Irish Coffee Pub. The owner convinced me that he would give the best party here. I was told since I did not have more than 50 guests I would be seated in the restaurant but since few if any people come in for lunch on a Sunday we would have more than enough room and privacy. Even the waiter there agreed and said no one ever comes in on Sunday for lunch and if they do they would seat them around the corner from us to give us privacy. The day of the shower I came into the restaurant to find that they had booked another party with another large party right next to us. Also, my table size was reduced. I was mortified and the other side of the family had 12 people crowded around a table for 8. The noise level was insane. Yes the food is very good but the atmosphere ruined the party. BTW they were the most expensive out of all the places I considered. I should have gone to the Irish Coffee House. To make matters worse, at the end of the party I was overcharged. Of course at this point everyone had left and I couldn't prove it but later I believed that I was charged for 2 children as adults and then again for the same 2 at a children's charge of half price. read more

I've have been wanting to try this place out for dinner. I've heard so many good things about it but haven't gotten around to it. I had a bridal shower to attend yesterday and got to experience it a little bit! Inside is beautiful and very clean. It has a big bar when you first walk in. I did come early to help set up and everyone seemed to be helpful in doing so. They made sure the champagne and punch was refilled and plenty of glasses were out. The food was very good. They had bruschetta and salad to start. The salad had plenty in it. Mushrooms chick peas onions and dressing. They took your order at the table which was easier. At least 5 options to choose from. Food had a lot of flavor and was super hot. We had two people at our table with a food allergy and they were highly accommodating. I loved that they offered a few coffee//tea options. I had the cappuccino which was great. We had a nice time and everything seemed pretty organized. Only downside was no paper towels in the bathroom the last half hour or so. But the bathroom was clean which is most important! For a bridal shower/event I would recommend and hopefully will get to try it out for dinner soon ! read more

Okay, let me start by saying that the food is great, so is the service. I went with my mom and we shared a salad which was great. The pasta dish we ordered was wonderful. The only issue was we ordered a small portion to share. When the check came, I was charged for a large portion and brought it to the servers attention. He went to the owner or manager in charge. When he told the manager of the issue. The man turned around and looked at us like we were trying to get one over on him. He also said something under his breath. Then proceeded to go around the wall and stare at us while the server brought the check. Very uncomfortable feeling for my mom and I. I am a business owner. If this happened to any of my customers, I would fix it. We also spoke with the server and asked him if a small pasta would be enough to share. So he is the one who made the mistake. I like this place. But, it's not quite love. The past two times I've ordered take-out it's been just okay. I was craving tortellini soup and eggplant parm recently (I happen to crave these particular items more often than not, truth be told) and placed an order for pick up. I shared it with my son. He liked the soup, but threw the eggplant off his tray. I guess he's a tougher critic than I. In the past this place has been very good, but then the last few orders haven't been up to par. Maybe I just happened to call in on a couple of off nights. I'll definitely give it another go, and they did give me a ton of bread. Yummmm, Italian bread! It is a bit more expensive than other Italian places in the area. $26 for a half-order of eggplant parm and a tortellini brodo. They do give you a quart which is a decent amount of soup, but still, almost $30 for these two items seems a bit steep. I do really love their sauce, and there have been times when their eggplant is amazing. Although more pricey, you are getting larger portions and I was able to get a second mini meal out of the soup and eggplant. I'd order again, this is my once-in-awhile spot that I enjoy for the occasional splurge. read more

Had Easter dinner with my family here. Unfortunately one of my family members picked this place and doesnt know good food or the red flags to look for... First will start with the waiter telling the table we have to order EVERYTHING right away. Appetizers, salads , pastas and entrees... why would u do this? Number 1 to get all the food in before people realizes it's horrible and number two so you dont fill up on food and decide to not get such a big entree later which would cost the restaurant money. Second we ordered samplers stuffed mushrooms were spit out , calamari was like chewing rubber, shrimp tasted like they were thawed out and tossed in the plate. Over all the seafood didnt taste fresh at all. Third the broccoli garlic and oil I had tasted like the penne wasnt fully cooked, broccoli crowns were tossed in , no seasoning or effort put into the broccoli, the liquid tasted like onion sauce. Fourth I got the shrimp wrapped in bacon, the waiter tried telling me that the small feeds 2 people , I asked how many pieces were in it he said 5 , I laughed in his face, took me 5 bites that was gone it was 18 bucks for 5 standalone shrimp on a plate , not over pasta , not combo with chicken very disappointing. Fifth the peanut butter cheesecake was banging, but became less enjoyable when we split up the bill amongst the family at 82 bucks a head , the cheesecake wasnt worth 82 bucks In closing when you look at the menu and based on the waiter telling me that a small feed 2 and large feeds 4 people per dish. Given the fact that a good average on the large dish's is 25 bucks , divide that by 4 people that it feeds and u get 6.25 a person being fed , what kind of quality do you expect to get for that price lol, wish I knew these little details before eating here couldve spent my money alot better for quality. read more

Gonna cut to the chase: the food was some of the best family style Italian I've ever had. But more importantly, the service was top notch. We were a very big party, gathering there recently for an important family function. Lots of hungry folk, of all ages. The kind of party where shit can go off the rails quickly, especially considering it was Saturday, the busiest night in the biz. Here's where the 5 stars come into play. The waitstaff, from the main guys on down, rocked. Really. They were so pleasant and accommodating and just on their game the entire time. Had to change something last minute (parents' prerogative when dealing with finicky, but starving, little eaters) and it was less than no problem. None of this, "where the hell is my kid's food?" or trying to maneuver around messy plates because they don't bus the tables enough. None of that. And like I said, the food was superb. I had heard wonderful things about La Famiglia and since my mother is visiting from Florida, I wanted to take her and her friend to a nice Italian Restaurant near where my mother's friend lives. The service is absolutely top notch and Tyler took superb care of us. We shared the hot antipasto and it was all great: mussels, stuffed mushrooms, fried calamari, eggplant rollatini, baked clams, and shrimp scampi. All was excellent except the shrimp because it tasted like it wood fire grilled and burnt; that was disappointing. For our entrees we shared chicken Parmesan and a special of fettuccini Alfredo with pastrami. The chicken was absolutely wonderful, it was so tender and flavorful and truly is the epitome of what I envision chicken Parmesan being. The special fettuccine though was a little bland and the pastrami was cut into cubes which left it grizzly and very hard to chew and should have been sliced instead of cubed in my opinion. I'd definitely go back and get the chicken again and ask for Tyler; he served us with such attentiveness. read more

Went here with "family" early on a Sunday. The place was less than half filled, but the waiters (numerous) kept coming by to take our order like we were a little league team at Applebee's. The food was less than compelling. There was an older man who was the manager or owner dressed in a soccer team / rugby type shirt. He appeared less than thrilled to be there, or that we were there, or even polite. The food was clearly below par, with my veal being rubbery and oily. The agita was almost immediate. But being out with cousins we had not seen in some time, it was more about the company than the food. The bill comes and that is when the real trouble starts. My wife and I were lucky enough to be treated, so the bill was on them. They paid with cash and from what I could see there was over $220 left in the holder on what I learned was a $185 bill. She counted it out numerous times. The waiter came by, looked inside, and said thank you very much. As we wrapped up at the table that same waiter comes back over 5 minutes later and asks how much was left. They told him they left $240, to which the waiter said I thought I saw more, but now there was only $180 in there, ultimately having us shorting the bill. We looked at one another and back at him and told him how much was left. He said that is what he thought, but now this money was missing and he wanted to double-check with us. He said asking us was the "path of least resistance". Meanwhile, there are cameras everywhere monitored from the host stand where Mr Rugby Shirt was parked. We told him to check the tape. He begrudgingly said he didn't think it was us. Oh thanks for not accusing 4 adults in their 50's for pulling a scam on them for the tip money. No apology. No "can I buy you a drink". No business card for better treatment on a future visit. No worries because there won't be another. I found the entire exchange in poor taste leaving a bad taste literally and figuratively on our experience there. This was my first time there since Covid and it is clear things have changed. Don't waste your time going to this place. Fully disappointing on multiple levels. read more

Had a party there during the weekend and would never consider this restaurant again. Upon walking in to set up, which was before any customers arrived, I noticed the rug was completely disgusting. Not only was it stained everywhere, it was ripped up in various places. Also there was debris under the tables clearly from the day before (crumbs, food, crumpled sugar packets). Gross. Once the party started, the waiters were all dead from the neck up. We had to ask for everything, as no one took initiative and acted like actual waiters who were WORKING. I know good help is hard to find, but my guess is that their boss has his interests elsewhere aside from supervising to ensure cleanliness and service to guests. Food was okay in my opinion, nothing fabulous. Then the servers brought out the cake and we literally waited another 15 minutes for coffee. Ridiculous. Too many negatives that outweighed the mediocre food that I can get better from the 100s of Italian restaurants in the area. Never again. read more

We had decided to go here for my mother's birthday recently. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the waitress even humored me with my minimal Italian. The food is all family style and comes out to feed 2-3 people a dish. Each dish is roughly $20, so if you come in with four people with the same tastes, it won't be expensive at all! We had ordered the white clam sauce, the garden salad, the eggplant rollatini , bruschetta, and a stuffed artichoke appetizer. The clam sauce was excellent and didn't have the overly oily taste some other restaurants do, the rest of the food was great, but the bruschetta topped everyone's list. It was amazing, and probably the best we've ever had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to fans of Italian food, and it's great for a group! read more

3.7 I set up a funeral luncheon here which we held on the second floor. If you have ever dealt with setting up an bereavement meal then you know there a lot of flexibility needed as you don't have a definite number of people nor time when booking. They were somewhat flexible, but I have had an easier time at other places for similar situations. I also needed to provide a large deposit, which I have never encountered before. With all that said, everything worked out fine.The upstairs room is a nice size with it's own bar and bathrooms. There are only stairs leading upstairs, so that that into account if that is an issue for any of your guests. The pre-fix options offered bruschetta, salad, pasta, choice of entree and cannoli along with soda, coffee and tea for $33++/person. The food was very good. The salad was delicious, it included chick peas, tomatoes olives, it was kind of like a chop salad. Entrees were a pre-selected option of fish, chicken, veal and eggplant. The chicken francese was good, however had a light curry note which was kind of odd, but still enjoyable. The fish was sole oreganata and served as a lovely filet. Even the eggplant parmagiana was delicious. The cannoli were filled to order and were scrumptious. All in all it was a nice place to have a group lunch. read more

Bring your Family to La Famiglia. We had the whole second floor reserved for my cousin's birthday party. The wine and beer were freely flowing. I was expecting beer on tap and house wine but they surprisingly served bottled beers and drinkable wine. At 45 bucks per head plus 10 for open bar, it was a decent price. The bread was hot and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The appetizers were delicious and plentiful. I was almost full at the end of the appetizer course. Best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. Nicely done baked clams, just wish I had some more. The thinly sliced fried zucchini tasted much better than your average french fry. The entrees/proteins were all OK but the fish stood out. The lightly spread bread crumbs on the fish provided just the right amount of saltiness that the fish needed. The wait staff were attentive and polite. Complimentary Coffee, an essential staple for an appropriate ending of a hearty Italian meal. Not sure if I'd come here on my own but a great place to have a family celebration like the establishment's namesake suggests. read more

I don't like to talk badly about a restaurant because I am a waitress myself but the food was really bad. This was our 1st time here. We decided to eat here because we saw the good reviews and were hungry from waiting for my sister to go up for surgery all day. 1st the shrimp scampi was really salty the shrimp didn't taste fresh at all tasted like it was frozen. The baked ziti noodles didn't taste like it was fully cooked And the rest of the food Tasted bland. we tried to talk to this one bald guy about how badly the food tasted but he gave us a bit of an attitude and said because the shrimp was eaten which was only 4 pieces he's not going to do anything and if we don't want to come back here that's fine. As he walked away he mumbled something under his breath. Lucky to make the day a bit better I talked to Tyler the server who was really nice and understanding I told him I'm not mad especially at him because it's not his fault but he was really nice and understanding. Our waiter was strange, I ordered the calamari and he got us the large (30$) order even though it was just two of us? Little confusing considering it's family style why the hell would we want a large. Maybe it's my fault for not being specific enough but I figured common sense was still a thing. Both pasta dishes we got had zero flavor, I mean none...which sucks because the pasta itself was cooked perfectly. Aside from the waiter being a cocky douche and serving us Olive Garden quality Italian food, he insisted we sat at the bar... eventually we got seated upstairs but who wants to go spend 30$ on a pasta dish to sit at a bar watching an old transformers movie? PERFECT classic Italian! This place does not disappoint. Tonight was our 4th time there. The owner Rosario greets us like he's known us forever. The waiters that we know so far-Giuseppe, Michaela and Taylor are so friendly and knowledgeable! Isaiah the busboy is great also! The baked clams are to die for. Always fresh. Chicken sorrentino shrimp Parmesan pasta with garlic and oil- perfect! Not overpowering and perfectly al dente. We have not had dessert yet because we are always too full.
