Besides the frustrating parking situation, it's a cool little place. They have "hard to find" trinkets from your younger days. There are some unique gifts to shop for. As far as the food goes, I had the Roasted Corn pizza (really good but burnt on the edges, hard to chew) and the chopped pizzeria salad. My favorite brunch spot. I get the croque Madame and iced tea. Love sitting outside when the weather is nice- picnic tables in the shade. Dog friendly, popular place after a hike up Camelback or a run along the canal. Parking situation greatly improved when the LGO management office opened a block north of the restaurant-parking in their business lot is encouraged for restaurant guests. The Caesar was perfect, crispy croutons and a creamy and delicious dressing with awesome cheese. The wings have a great smoky flavor and just enough heat and are paired with an amazing blue cheese, pretty pungent but delish! The pizza has a nice pull to it and the meats, cheese, and sauce have the best flavors! The valet parking makes it easy and the service is top notch. I came in a couple of weeks ago and ordered their specialty Honey Latte (iced) with a breakfast burrito. I was actually surprised by the burrito having egg whites - it was quite delicious, but what REALLY got me was the honey latte... omg! I ordered it with their Housemade Nut Milk -- THE BEST coffee ever. I'm not sure how much sugar is actually in it, and that kind of shys me away from getting it too often, but holy moly ... I have been coming to LGO for years. I love that I can easily get things out the grab and go, they have cute gifts and my mom loves the red velvet. I will say though that tonight as I was about to come in I witnessed something that made me very uncomfortable. It was something I've seen happen there before to a degree. I was getting ready to walk in and I saw this white man yelling at a black girl in curbside about her car lights and music. It was curbside and everyones car lights were on yet he and his date felt it appropriate to berate her. If experiences like this were isolated it would be different however, my mother and friends of mine have said that they have been ignored by staff AND felt unwelcome for lack of a better word by other guests. I recognize Arcadia is not the most diverse area but, I do think the overall lack of diversity amongst staff makes the situation with how guests treat people that don't look like them worse. I can't say for sure that I'm never coming back to LGO. I work in the area and have a lot of ties to the community however, I will say I will really need to reflect on going back and if it will be anytime soon. Watching as the only other black person around got yelled at by another guest for no reason was very unsettling and made me feel unwelcome by proxy. I watched the whole thing, she just pulled in and he and his girlfriend went off. To be honest I turned around and left without purchasing anything. I have had many positive experiences at LGO but it is getting to the point where the negative ones are out weighing the positive. And where I spend my money matters to me.The easiest way to put it; I only believe in spending my black earned money in businesses that care about my customer experience and where I feel safe and welcome. read more

BUrgers were small, were not Pink / Medium as requested , and fries were too saturated in oil and soggy .. in fairness to LGO , they offered to comp deserts , but we had already walked over and bought them. This is the place to be for coffee and to get lost in books they have for sale. I am completely shocked that not only is it a coffee shop but it's mixed in with a grocery, gelato, pizzeria and almost Urban Outfitters vibe all mixed into one. Only down side is that if you just want coffee you have to order in the main line which could get busy as well as parking is a headache mostly every time I've been. Otherwise I've had their mocha and their breakfast burrito substitute the tofu for bacon cause I'm a meat eater and both were AMAZING!!! Also love their candles! read more

I use to enjoy coming here, but it seems like the food has gone down hill slightly for the price. The english muffins are great if you don't have the time/patience to make them at home, good for a quick fix. The last time I stopped in the pastry was dried out and the coconut cupcake was partially frozen. Also the coffee wasn't hot and the bar girl had an attitude when I asked if she had any newly brewed. Nothing verbal just a snippy push of an airpot in my direction. They have tried to improve service, still some mistakes on take away, ie; wrong pastries. Parking is insane as it has been for several years. I think they should get rid of one of the retail displays and allow just a tad more room in front of the coffee bar. I thought a fight would erupt one day recently when the place was packed and there was a girl waiting to get coffee and her friend asked if she was ready, she replied that if she would be if people would stop hogging the coffee bar. I thought she was being funny and must know the guy in front of her, but by his look when he turned to look at her, I realized they weren't together. I waited for the verbal burst of profanity, but none came and I applaud his patience with the uppity little wannabee. I've had better, but I am here and there aren't too many other alternatives for counter service. One suggestion for LGO, please use biodegradable take-away containers. read more

I'm lucky cause LGO is in my neighborhood. This little spot has the best ready-made sushi rolls around and the atmosphere is unmatched -- great energy with a mish-mash of different kinds of people. LGO attracts everyone and for good reason -- they've got a great selection of sandwiches, pizzas, desserts, and beverages at reasonable prices coupled with a laid-back vibe that you just can't find just anywhere else in the city. read more

I went in here while waiting for my reservation at the pizzeria. I ended up buying 2 bottles of wine and a $40.00 dollar dog collar! The wine was less expensive! This is a very cute high end grocery and the desserts are so good I almost dropped dead! The peanut butter pie is to die! The parking sucks but you can valet if needed! Decided to eat here after realizing Bianco is closed on Sundays. I have eaten here many times before and it is always consistently great.This time we started with the sangria because it's so delicious and refreshing. The only complaint about that if I have to find one is the pitcher they serve it in is big and heavy and it's hard to pour. We ordered the ceviche and it was wonderfully fresh. I went here on a morning with my wife and kids. We left a large resort and were on our way out of town headed to the Grand Canyon. Perhaps the service leaves something to be desired because it is a grocery that has a kitchen, but the food is out of this world. My daughter was disappointed in the pancakes because they were more like crapes, but I loved them and my older kids loved it all. It did not matter since she ate half of my wife's egg white omelet. We all shared and I would go back every week if I could. Certainly all the locals seem to be doing that. read more

I have been to Postinos a million times, and live just down the road, so I was surprised I had never actually been here. Boy, was I missing out. Put simply: I love LGO. It's stellar! Came in for the first time about a month ago and have since returned at least 4 times. Needless to say, I am addicted now. I've tried all sorts of things here but things I come back for are their breakfast commuter sandwich with bacon (+ avocado, totally worth the extra charge), the croque madam, chicken salad, gelato, and yogurt/granola to go. They make their English muffins in house and they are perfectly delicious. They have to-go breakfast and lunch foods in a cold case for convenience. The bathrooms are clean. Service is always friendly; you can call ahead and they offer curbside pick-up. They have a small parking lot, so that's the only "drawback," but not enough to deduct a star. Next time I go I plan on trying the pizza. You can smell it wafting out the doors as you drive up in the late afternoon. Do yourself a favor when you're in Arcadia and eat at LGO! My wife and I usually go to LGO at about 4:00PM on weekdays, when most of the ridiculous "see and be seen" crowd is gone. The Commuter Sandwich is good, as is the Cubano. Luckily, we live close enough to walk...Parking here is tough, I would imagine. Although it is called a "Grocery", I think "gift shop" would be more appropriate. They do have a decent cheese display, although overpriced. Just don't arrive here thinking that you'll be able to buy actual ingredients for everyday cooking. La Grande Orange reminds me of Crepevine or Squat & Gobble (local SF spots). Gotta say that La Grande Orange is extremely better!!! The food is fresh, some ingredients are organic. The layout of the store is great, the food items all sounds amazing, and I like the valet parking. Unfortunately, everything I have ordered (the pizza salad and a tuna sandwich) have sounded better than they actually tasted, the service is also really slow even in the middle of the day and both times they have been out of my first selection. This place is great. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. My staple is the veggie sandwich - it's fabulous, and the pickles they serve on the side are divine! Only 2 negatives for me here - the noise factor (they play music really loud, plus lots of people), and the crowd/parking issue. This place is popular (for a reason!) and parking is always an issue. I usually just call ahead and do the car pick up for this reason, but I wish I could park easily and stay and linger. They have a really fun shop with pretty unique items, and I do enjoy browsing there and hanging out. But parking is so difficult that I just content myself with the food to go. read more
