La Granja means Farm the in English is located near the airport in Miami, new a few hotels, with making it perfect if you are looking for authentic Latina food, a Peruvian with a touch of Ecuadorian and Dominican, a restaurant that has a few option of homemade plates. In this occasion, I order #2 from the menu that is 1/2 Chicken with rice, Maduro's & beans, for me no habichuela porfavor (no beans please), so I had the option to add more rice or Maduro, I added more Maduro's. This is one of the best chicken coal I had eaten in the USA, I must mention that I grew up in the Dominican Republic is hard to find a nice and homemade roast chicken. The chicken is roasted with a delicious and glazed skin. The white and dark meat are both extremely tender and delicious, the side that I had was rice and Maduro's, the portion of rice was plenty and had a homemade, like one of my aunts or my mom cook it. The Maduro's were on point, Maduro's is when the sweet plantains (yellow plantains) are fried only once, Maduro's in Spanish means "ripe". This can be served as a side dish or apps. Servers are very nice, the place is going to the counter making a order, pay and wait until they yell your number, where you pick up your food. read more

This place was walking distance from my hotel for the night and it came highly recommended from our airport shuttle driver! After some google searches, we found that it's Peruvian food which is a combination African, Asian, and European. The flavors are amazing and definitely a melting pot of cultures. My cousin and it were in Miami for the night and staying very close by so we decided to give this place a shot based off the hotel receptionist recommendation. When we first walked in we weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised by our meals. I ordered the 1/2 chicken meal and I got some garlic sauce on the side, my chicken was so tender I couldn't believe it.. the plantains weren't as sweet as I would have liked but they were still good. Rice and beans were on point... my cousin ordered steak fajitas and she devoured them.. We were pleasantly surprised by the food here. Based on the exterior, I was pleasantly surprised. We got the 1/2 chicken with rice, beans, plantains and a drink. We also got an empanada and an arepa. The food was piping hot. This was plenty of food for two adults and two kids (5 and 8). The empanada may have been my favorite. It has ground beef inside that resembles the meat in a Jack in the Box taco...don't judge...I love those tacos! My husband doesn't like the tacos, but he loves the empanada. This is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in Miami! I loved their menu. I'm a carnivore, so my husband and I ordered the whole chicken. It came with a huge bowl of rice and another bowl of black beans. It would have seriously served a family of 4. Since I only eat meat, my husband barely put a dent in the rice and beans. We took a small container back to our hotel to enjoy later. We are staying at the Marriott near the airport. I'm thrilled to find out that this restaurant is also in Orlando, since we are there a few times We are definitely going!! read more

In town for business, I was told by the hotel staff, his is the place to eat, and they weren't wrong!! For the time being, take out only... There are a few tables outside for dining, maybe 3 or 4 .. Anyway, I ordered the seafood soup, shrimp platter and empenada . There was 5 or 6 orders ahead of mine.. food was ready in about 8mins, took it back to hotel... Everything was incredible! Portion was huge, properly prepared , the ladies working the counter were very friendly.. the seafood soup is out of this world! Soup was great, but when I ask if they put rice on it, they told me a little. I was going to exchange it and ask for one without rice, but I change my mind and kept eating just the soup and seafood. My mistake. It was not so little rice after all, half of the plate was rice. As I was to leave another customer who speaks Spanish ask them to put very little rice. I was a bit hesitant to go inside at first. The outside does not sell the place it's location is a bit strange and it looks a bit run down. BUT at lunch time the parking outside was packed and overflowing into the gas station next door. It's a cafeteria style restaurant. Food is good with a wide selection to choose from. And yes rice and beans. Clean, very good food, good prices and a happy atmosphere . A great lunch spot. Yes the speak both English and Spanish . read more

I had the seafood rice (i could mash it and make a paste) ... yuk ...but polite service The young man was patient and courteous. The order was fulfilled very quickly by the cook but the rice was mushy like it sat all day cooking and like it had been cooking all day plus what seemed to be scalloped was tough and very rubbery like it had been through a cookie cutter of a rubbery fish of some sort definitely not scallops but the 5 little shrimps where ok. That's all I could eat of this dish and this is what I'm throwing away. I had also the potatoes and tre leches which was very good. read more

When you walk in the restaurant the first and only thing you will smell the whole time you are there will be fish! I understand that sea food is one of the main things they sell but the smell wasn't pleasant. The food was ok but nothing really stood out or tasted good enough to visit again. Close to the hotel and delicious! Was an easy walk from our hotel. Walk up and order casual restaurant. The food is a little pricey bust scrumptious! Well seasoned and cooked to order fresh. I went for a late lunch. It was difficult to figure out who would take my order because no one seemed to be paying attention to me as I was wondering how ordering went and when I just started talking to the person at the cash register he took my order but he was rather inattentive, looking away, not engaging in dialogue, etc. They use a number system, and a person or party 12 numbers ahead of me got their food well before I did, and I was eating alone. I ordered my food with uber eat half of the order was delivered, I call, the woman that answered told me to wait 5 minutes I wait and call back several times with no answer, this is the worse service a restaurant can have, having waiting a customer on the phone and don't pick up I will cancel my whole food and getting my money back, don't waste your time trying to order online food with this people. My husband and I always go to La Granja in Orlando FL And Hialeah and our experience was great. We came to La Granja in Leyunne rd and we had paid $14.99 for a plate full of octopus which I did not eat my husband told the lady if he paid $14.00 for an small plate of octopus and they offer to improve the the plate which it was return to me with more octopus there was 3 piece of fish which we counted and two small and refríed shrim everything on the plate was octopus. I will start by saying if you really want authentic Peruvian chicken please go else where. This place is really nice and clean inside and the service was fast. I ordered the chicken and was expecting something totally different from what I am accustomed to. Thier chicken was lacking all the great flavors that original Peruvian cusine is gloabaly known for. Don't get me wrong it does not taste bad it just didn't meet all my expectations. If you are looking for decent food at great price give them a try. The fish variety is good, although not great. If you're looking for strictly local fish, you'll probably find what you want. Several varieties of snapper and the fish looked wonderful and fresh. Some of my favorites like hogfish and grouper. You can buy the whole fish and they'll fillet it for you or you can buy fillets if they have them of the fish that you want. But the part I missed is having them cook it for me. Now that is something I would like to try next time The downside is they strictly local fish. You won't find any flatfish and I was surprised that they did not have any U4 or U6 shrimp which I like to use to make paella. In addition, I did not see fresh scallops. They did have some nice lobster tails although I did not see other shellfish. Some people have said the prices are reasonable; I found them about 20 to 30% higher than other fish markets I visit. The people here are really nice in the market is attractive. I will be back as I said to get a meal cooked for me in part because it is closer than the fish markets I usually visit and also my curiosity after reading other reviews. (The amount of salad is about the same as the amount of French fries, but second graders eat more French fries than they do salad.) I had about six weeks of food there. For a minute, I thought I was in Havana Harry's. The side dishes were all pleasant enough but basic for what they were. With one exception. Caesar salads in Colombia have flat squares of a salty slightly bitter cheese and an alternative version of a Thousand Island dressing. The alt dressing and the alt cheese go together just fine. I have a newborn and have replaced oat milk whenever I use 'milk' because my supply has been very low and oats are said to aid in lactation support. I'm pumping breastmilk in the car every time I drive and nursing throughout the day. I'm doing everything in my power to consume as many lactation supporting foods as I can. I PAID FOR IT. I paid nearly $13 for two beverages, I didn't ask for anything free or try to do anything inappropriate. Yet I was treated with such odd hostility from the barista. She even made some comment about it being "a lot of cups", except it was just the two cups of milk where I poured the espresso into. She very simply could have poured the espresso into the cup of milk and ice, but apparently that was not something she was willing to do. So it seems the two little paper espresso cups going to 'waste' are because of her method of preparation and service. I didn't ask for special treatment or any exceptions to be made for me, I ordered off the menu. I paid for the milk and I paid for the espresso. The semantics of what I do with what I pay for is not of the barista's concern. I would encourage some supplemental training or remove oat milk from the menu if customers are going to be spoken to disrespectfully for buying it.
