Loved it! Staff was super friendly and since it was black friday they gave us free desserts, will definetly come back! Great service, thank you!

Sizable half sandwich with a side and beverage for $8.99 but why not go whole sandwich for $10.99.

I'm very pleased with this location of La Madeleine. Good food and certainly good value. Today I had a delicious ham and Swiss cheese on baguette with an included side of Caesar salad. I treated myself to butter instead of Mayo which was indulgent after a light toasting with dripping butter brought to my table. Last time I had the crepe with egg and mushroom sauce which, again, was good food and good value. My wife favors the napoleon dessert while I treasure the crème brûlée. The croissant is also good. Service is friendly, parking is easy. Convenient too when shopping in Sunset Valley.

I stopped here with a friend to do some work on our laptop right after lunch and my initial idea was to get a coffee and a pastry. But honestly I couldn't resist to try the Café Sampler. I got the Chicken Friand (chicken, Swiss, mushroom and onion in a housemade stuffed puff pastry topped with creamy mushroom sauce), Country Potato Soupe (with cheese and bacon bits) and Fresh Fruit Petite Salade. The Chicken Friand was exquisite. I was a little worried cause I normally don't like Swiss cheese, but it wasn't too strong since it was mixed with other ingredients. I give it a 9.5 out of 10, just because there was too much garlic in my opinion. The Country Potato Soupe was excellent. I loved the bacon bits in it and the cheese was a really nice touch! I loved that I could feel the little bits of potatoes as well! Definitely a 10. The Fresh Fruit Petite Salade could've been better, but it was a nice option to finish the meal with. The fruit was not that Fresh.. I like that they have a white sauce that you can pour over your fruit. I don't remember the name unfortunately but it was sweet and complemented the fruit perfectly. The location is really pretty, I personally love that it had different rooms, and not just a huge one. The walls give that extra privacy, which could be great if you have a party and you'd like to be separated from the rest of the crowd. One more thing that I personally loved - if you go to the restroom, you'll hear French lessons and there are cute little French drawings on the tiles.

Perfect place to order for a lunch meeting for your office. Quick and semi healthy. I chose the chicken salad croissant. So delicious! Cesar salad with their original Cesar dressing that is perfection. Pasta salad had good flavor as well. The only complaint I have is that the bread they serve on the side is very hard. I will skip on that next time. For dessert their chocolate brownie is decadent and rich. My go to if you love chocolate.

It was my first time coming to this location. Portions are small compared to the price (I don't remember La madeleine prices...it's been a long time). Mediocre food. I like the coconut cake! The lemon tart's crust is a bit hard.

Barren Chocolate Croissant. What little chocolate was present = tasty.

August 2024 Ordered delivery. Was excited when the treats arrived. Unfortunately, no amount of excitement could have prepared me for the disappointment I experienced. It's not awful, but it tastes like the chefs have gotten bored or complacent. Overall, this was an underwhelming experience and I will likely seek out other options before ever considering La Madeleine again. Blackberry Macaron: Overcooked pastry - very crumbly. Could taste the sugar more than the hint of blackberry. Definitely on the lower/cheaper end as far as macarons go. Wouldn't order this again or recommend it. Mini Lemon Tart: Overpriced. I kept looking for the "lemon" flavor but never found it. But as a "custard" tart, it's good. The unsweetened topping helps balance the richness of the filling. I'd recommend it if it's on sale or available as a sample. If you want a lemony treat - like I did - don't get this because your itch will remain unscratched. Chocolate Croissant: Uh...it was empty. Check the photo. The presentation is nice, but there is so little chocolate in this thing, Wonka would cry. Plus, the croissant is a bit doughier than I normally prefer. Overall, nothing special here. Nutella Croissant Muffin: This was the best item out of my selection because of the Nutella - something store bought and not unique to La Madeleine. The added sugar on top adds a nice crunchy texture but sacrifices balance by adding unwelcome sweetness. The croissant muffin was moist and doughy. Overall, nothing special and I feel like I could make the same thing at home without much effort.

Pleasantly surprised by this little chain restaurant and bakery. We stopped by for a quick lunch and the employees were quick to help. We split a French dip and slice of coconut cream cake. The cake was so good I ate it before I remembered to take a picture. The sandwich was filling and came with a side salad and the dip was tasty. Would recommend for an easy, comforting lunch with a French flare or to stop by for dessert.

I did all three. I started out with a Franzbrötchen, a German style cinnamon roll, and a cortado. Both were a great start while waiting for one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a while. The sandwich I chose comes with bacon, beer cheese, fluffy eggs, and Russian dressing on a beautifully toasted Bavarian croissant. I also had to try a side of their duck fat potatoes, fried golden brown with smoked duck fat, whipped confit garlic butter, and fresh thyme. This was an excellent meal with great service, and I would highly recommend checking them out if you're ever in the area.

The staff were all attentive and nice; the table decor was obviously DIY crafted but it was still cute and creative! The flavor was severely lacking in all of our entrees. The portions were also really small, like, almost Lunchables-sized. My friend ordered Kiki's cake and it was pretty dry. There was not a non-chocolate option, as someone who hates it, which was fine. I was going to give my friend the other dessert but they were able to sub it for a pastry from the counter. The drinks, however, were very well done. I would love to see those as regular staples on the menu. Even though the calcirita was incredibly smoky, like, "coal in your lungs"-type sensation, it was at least still on theme. I would suggest doing cocktail that can be temporarily lit on fire or it comes in a glass dome with a "smoke-like" effect instead if repeating the theme. I will consider coming back one more time for their regular menu but I don't know that it was worth driving down again soon.

Golden Hour is a cute spot that serves as a coffee shop serving light breakfast and by night, transforms into a cozy spot to unwind with a glass of wine and canapés. Fair warning--if it's your first visit, finding it can be a little confusing. It's tucked inside an apartment complex and shares the outdoor courtyard with the residents. With that being said, since it's creative in its location, it gives a relaxed, neighborhood vibe where you'll find young mothers yapping, corporate employees working and girlies catching up. Unfortunately, if you fall into the corporate employee category like myself, the coveted corner table is the hottest seat in the house since it's the only unique seating with multiple outlets. Otherwise, you'll find sneaky floor outlets at the community table and another a few tables away from the corner seating area. I had the Miso Panela Latte and their signature Breakfast Burrito. While the burrito isn't as "hearty" as other places in size, I thought it was filling enough to share with my partner for a light breakfast. The Miso Panela was delicious and so unique compared to other basic offerings in Austin. NOTE: Happy Hour is offered daily from 4-6 PM where you'll get $2 off wines by the glass, draught beer, and cocktails. In addition, Focaccia by the slice will run at $4.

Underwhelmed by the size in comparison to its advertised photos and when looking at other reviews seems like the burrito size is inconsistent. Parking was easy on a Sunday afternoon.
