Unfortunately they forgot to pack my pasta and the store manager, Adalene (i think thats her name) called me immediately and asked how she can make it right. So I have been to this location about 4 times. I seriously don't know why I keep trying to give them a chance. This was my "4 cheese grilled cheese". There were two slices of unmelted cheese on tough toasted dry bread. The salad was both wet and drenched in dressing with burnt croutons. The desserts are the only good thing at this restaurant and they aren't even good enough to bump this rating up. When we voiced our concerns about the food (all of our food was wildly disappointing) we were told "Well that's just how we do it here". My husbands chicken Caesar salad was essentially boiled cold canned chicken on top of watery lettuce. I can't justify wasting my money here anymore. read more

We ordered two BOWLS of French onion soup...Got home only to discover that our bowls of soup were actually cups of soup filled only halfway. We paid for bowls of soup and were given much less in a cup...My husbands salad was a petite strawberry spinach salad (probably the smallest plastic container that I've ever seen... ) And the cheesecake that we ordered was missing its toppings. The coconut cream cake was soggy and just not good. Very disappointing. My wife and I ate at La Madeleine yesterday, and it was wonderful. We have been their long ago, and decided to go again. We were greeted by the individual up front at the bakery and coffee area. This is type of place where you wait in line to place your order and they bring it out to your table. My sandwich was very good, need some mayonnaise . The folks brought out our food and all were very gracious and kind. You do get a good size portions to fill you up. I really recommend the homemade cookies, they are so so good. KJ read more

I'm surprised by the low rating of La Madeleine and looking at the reviews it mostly feels to be service issues. Luckily, I had a home delivery and loved the food experience. Potato Galette: fresh, light, not very starchy. Would've loved a dip/sriracha pairing with it but loved the dish none the less. It's like a seriously upgraded hash brown. Provenal Vegetable & Goat Cheese: fresh vegetables, nice subtle marinate and a very unique citrusy/vinegary flavour. Pesto pasta side: I'm glad I got this as a side. Very very mild flavour to the pasta. Great side pairing. I would not have enjoyed a full portion of this. Creme brulee: heavenly! Might be a tad sweeter than expected but I loved it! must try! If a company is going to promote a BOGO, they should have plenty of inventory of that product. Went to La Madeleine 2/29 for their BOGO cookie. Arrived around 2:30. Waited about 15 minutes while the young gentleman working the bakery /to go counter worked at filling a customer order. When I finally got up to the counter, I was told they only had one cookie left. It would be 30 minutes before they had more cookies. I was shocked, very disappointed and quite pissed. What a waste of my time and gas! The Indian man at the counter was incredibly RUDE to us because we parked upfront in a " To go spot" because all of the handicap spots were taken, he proceeded to argue with my husband ( who is recovering from knee surgery) that he couldn't park there, even with a handicap placard. Not sure why this lovely place has such bad reviews! I'd say la Madeleine is perfect for a quick lunch. I ordered three times for delivery and was impressed by timeliness and quality of food. I've ordered the Jambon-Beurre and the Chicken Swiss pesto sandwiches. The baguette is really good and came warm every time. I also think the side caesar salad is oddly addicting. This is maybe the fifth le Madeline I have visited and this is by far the worst. They skimp on everything and can't be bothered to even fullfill your order correctly. We had to go back three times and ask for things they left off and we had to correct the order twice. After that I could hear the "manager" making jokes about customers to another employee. The whole experience was horrible. If you are a vegetarian do not come here unless you like a rogue piece of mystery meat in your salad. Our whole family used to text each other on Saturday mornings with, "Breakfast at La Mad's"? Those of us who could make it would meet there and have a wonderful start to our weekend and the day. Then a new manager was assigned and that was a disaster. (We waited 1.5 hours on our food; our order was made, they couldn't find us (in the dining room) and they threw out our food, not attempting to replace it.) Then COVID hit. Now everything is different. Food changed, Manager basically changed the restaurant, service changed, pricing changed, free bread and jelly changed. Now we don't go there at all. MAJOR HEALTH CONCERNS I don't think I've ever been this disappointed in an establishment before. Let me start off by saying, I love this location and I have never had an issue with any of my orders. Today was the change for that. I placed an order at 12:06 PM, which was then canceled and refunded because of an "issue with Grubhub". So the food never came for lunch, but that was okay because I'd try placing another order for dinner. I then placed another order at 4:09 PM which went through fine. My first suspicion should've been when the General Manager of the Brodie location called me and was confused as to why I had placed 2 orders within the same day for the same meal. I didn't really think anything of it because it was a completely separate order from the one from hours earlier. Also, I would still assume that even if a customer did make an error like that, you would make a FRESH PLATE for each order that comes in regardless of when it was placed or if it was a duplicate/mistake. When my order was delivered to me, to my surprise the bag said "Promise Time: 12:35 PM. The top and bottom receipts were both from hours prior and there was no proof of the order I had placed at 4:09 PM. Not only did I never revive the second order I placed, I received the first order I placed 5 hours late. I opened the bag to be greeted by hours old, cold and nasty food. I ended up throwing everything I had bought away because it wasn't worth the risk of food poisoning due to the meal containing dairy products and products that will spoil if left out for an extended period of time. I've worked in food service and to-go service for years, and there is no excuse ever to give a customer old food and risk someone's health. It makes me wonder if there are multiple orders being sent out with old food at the Brodie location. I'm truly disgusted and disappointed. read more

They gave me a slice of bread and when I asked for the Baguette that it usually comes with, they looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about and said they don't have that. The manager at this location is simply rude. I ordered a 15oz jar of Tomato Soup through Uber Eats. The driver gets there and says that they're telling him they don't have that size of the soup. So I asked to have them cancel the item on their end or just pour some soup to go as a replacement. The manager told the Uber driver that I had to cancel the order or the driver needs to. I called the store to see if maybe there was a communication issue. There was not. The manager insisted that they have zero control over anything related to any Uber Eats orders and that they, "Haven't made that size of soup in three years." (Which is incorrect considering I bought it in store last winter) Any time I proposed any sort of solution or asked a question I was cut off and told, "No. We don't do that." He was incredibly rude and unwilling to offer any resolution, just kept talking faster and raising his voice and saying, "No! I don't do that. We don't do that."
