This La Michoacana Plus is a Colorful Ice Cream shop that 's located in the Tropicana Plaza on King and Story. We were happened to be in this Area on a Beautiful Warm day and Cold yummy Ice Creams sounded great so we stopped by here for the First time. Definitely A Vibrant and Cool Settings they got going on in here! Lively, Pleasant, and Laid Back Atmospheres. A Great place for Any Groups Gathering. Good for Families and Kids. My Sister and I were Truly Happy like Two kids at A Candy Store!!! They offered all kinds of Different Flavors! I got the Kiwis, Mangoes and Passion Fruits. The Pistachios were actually one of our Favorites. Theirs Populars included: Mangonadas, Michedaladas, Watermelon , Fresh Fruits Cups, Ice Pops, Fresca Con Cremas, plenty of Cones, Shakes, and Plenty more Authentic Flavors!!!! I will definitely be back to try other items here!

    Mangonada with watermelon sorbet

Went early on Saturday. Not busy yet, and it was my first time. I was not quite sure how or what to order. I ended up getting a Mangonazo with watermelon sorbet. It was delicious! My mouth is watering right now as I write . Has chunks of mango, chamoy & tajin. Medium was huge and cost around $8. Also got some paletas for like $2.50 each. Did not get a chance to try much else yet. Can't wait to go back!

They have a unique and delicious cucumber ice cream. It's a delightful water-based treat, making it a great vegan-friendly option. The ice cream itself is good, and I love the idea of the place being a fun spot to sit down and enjoy your treat. However, it could really benefit from replacing the decorative lights to revive its look and bring out the vibrant, colorful ambiance it's meant to have. Despite this, it's still a good place to snap some fun photos. A few tweaks could easily elevate the entire experience.

Pretty decent First off, I loveeee the selection of popsicles!! So many flavors from watermelon to soursop to walnut and horchata BUT it's over priced and not that good. *** We got: Popsicles: - Soursop: I forgot this was soursop because there were no distinct scents. I only realized after seeing the seeds and the help from the bf - Watermelon: had real watermelon chunks and different colors were different flavors. So red tasted like watermelon, white was yogurty, and green was lime. Good one, I would get this one - Guava: pretty good - Elote bowl: not that good. Corn didn't taste good Made a better batch at home xD - Walnut Water: SO SO SWEET! Was recommended this but was not worth it at all!! We threw it away after two sips I would come back but not really..

interior - decorator did an amazing job! comic like theme

Late review, but my yompz partner and I visited this place when it had just opened for a while. Interior - my initial reaction was WHAT THE!!! i was BLOWWWWN away. it's just so colorful, everything pops out at you & it could probably be overstimulating for some, but my inner child was loooving it. the chairs, tables, the wallpaper & comic theme was very intricate and cute. makes for a cute little desert date! Food/snacks - so many options & pretty affordable. me and my yompz partner just shared a mangonada but it was realllllly good & we absolutely demolished it in like 5 minutes LOL. the menu has a lot of variety & it was hard to compromise on one thing cuz we lwk broke ;(( Location - Easy to spot in this plaza! There's a whole parking lot for the plaza so it's easy to find a parking space and walk a bit to the store. Service - We actually met a woman who happened to be the manager & asked her a few questions about the store because it was new. She was super nice and outgoing & very friendly! Made the experience 100x better while waiting for our mangonada. We brought our puppy and she was like OMG HES SO CUTE BRING HIM BACKK hahaha that was funny. ANYWHO - definitelyyyyy come here for some desert or if you want some SHNACKS. it's rly good here & so cute to hang out at :)

We've recently just discovered this ice cream shop down the street after living in the area for the last 10 years. The mangonada is arguably one of the best I've had in the area. The consistency of the ice creams are always on point! I usually get the fresa, limon, and mangonada flavors in a medium cup. They top it with diced mangoes and little candy bits. Lily was the one that helped us and she was super friendly. She introduced us to chongos and queso flavored ice cream. The ice cream shop is very colorful and decorative inside. There are huge murals in the walls.

Not only does it get really busy after work hours, many parking spots are reserved for other businesses. It's also usually crowded inside, making snagging a seat a bit hard. It's a popular spot, and I can see why--the menu features many different bingsoo options alongside other desserts, and they're all very beautiful and cute. There's also free WiFi and bathroom access. I will note that they don't seem particularly diligent about cleaning up between customers. You pick your own seats, and when I finally found a table, there was food residue visible on the tabletop. Their prices are a little higher than some other spots in SJ (ranging from ~$13 to $19 pre-tax), and I don't think the quality of the bingsoo is noticeably better to justify the price. I tried a pricier one (the premium strawberry), and found it to be quite good, but not $20 good. Plus, some aspects seem designed more for pictures than for eating. The little cheesecake slice is a bit hard because it's cold and difficult to eat with the shaved ice. That said, their bingsoo does taste good! The fruit tasted fresh and sweet, and the portion was enough for me to share with my partner. I wish the condensed milk was provided on the side instead of already poured on top, but I didn't mind the amount they gave. I may not be back immediately in the future, but I wouldn't mind visiting again. I would probably stick to the lower-priced options myself, though. If you visit, do keep in mind that it's usually really busy--your order probably will take a minute, and whether that's worth it or not is up to you.

My first experience was pretty mid because the ceremonial matcha latte was VERY strong and bitter. I couldn't finish it and it made me super jittery. After coming back a few more times though, I found a couple things I really liked. The Crème Brûlée Matcha was delicious. I finished the entire drink. You can't change the sweetness level, which is unfortunate, but their recommended sweetness actually balanced the stronger matcha really well. The ice cream is probably the best thing here. Super creamy, perfectly sweet and really well blended. I would honestly come back just for the ice cream. The strawberry matcha latte was pretty unmemorable to me, and the hojicha was also extremely bitter. Service was good. The barista was kind and helpful, which I appreciated. You order through a kiosk, so there isn't a ton of interaction overall. When I first came around their opening, there was basically no line. After they started getting more hype, the lines became longer and longer. I think it's worth trying, but personally I wouldn't wait in a huge line for it. Overall, the matcha itself tastes authentic and is prepared well, but some drinks are just too bitter for my preference. My recommendations: the ice cream or Crème Brûlée Matcha. Those were easily the standouts for me.
