vegan penne - also delish!!

I'd never heard of this place until my siblisngs suggested it as a possible venue for an event. Apparently you locals love this place, and I ca n see why! It's been here for decades, and it seems rather non-descript from the front, but the interior - and more importantly - the food is fabulous. We arranged an event here to celebrate Mom's birthday, and relatives from near and far came. Parking was easy and the staff greeting everyone in a friendly and professional manner and directed to the back patio where our event was. The placesettings were meticulously laid, and the servers were extra attentive, even remembering everyone's drink orders. The food was delicious, and plenty of vegetarian options were available.

I attended a luncheon party held in a separate room, which was perfect, off the restaurant. The restaurant is nicely decorated and welcoming. Upon entering, I was pleasantly greeted by the hostess escorting us to the party room. The rolls/bread basket accompanied a fresh salad as an appetizer. Followed by a delicious eggplant parmigiana. Dessert consisted of a slice of birthday cake with a scoop of pistachio ice cream and coffee. The food was yummy and service was nice. The company of family & friends in such a nice venue was just lovely. If in the area, I'd go back again.

Skip dessert and got a cappuccino. Love this little detail printed on top. A great way to finish an excellent experience.

Great experience! Definitely going to come back a second time. Party of eight we had an early dinner. Service was attentive and thorough. The waiter recommended two appetizers which were easiest serve shared between a group our size. The calamari and the fried zucchini. 7.5out of 10 on both. Appreciated the recommendation. I had an old-fashioned with Rye whiskey. Could use a little work. 6.5 out of 10. The real crown in achievement was the main course. I asked the Waiter for his opinion between two dishes and he insisted on one of them. I then asked to follow up question regarding another dish that I had been looking at and he still insisted on his original recommendation. He mentioned that it might take a little bit longer because it required a reduction of the sauce. I decided to go with his recommendation of the chicken scarpariello. Before I tell you how delicious it is, to improvements that could be made. The chicken was a little tough. I would like to see what it could be like with chicken thigh instead of chicken breast. If that's an option, I would've chosen the chicken thigh. And the potatoes, I wish they were cut a little thicker. But I'm gonna give this a solid 9 out of 10. Great recommendation! I would recommend the dish to anyone. Delicious! Thank you to the waiter. He and the rest of the staff were very attentive and patient with us. We really enjoyed our time at the restaurant and are very grateful to have had such an opportunity to die in there. Can't wait to go back. Beautiful restaurant, phenomenal service, delicious food.

Burrata e Caponata

They had a line for valet so took a while to get in. Place was packed on a Saturday night. To start off we received complimentary bread. We ordered a bunch of apps but only took a few pics. Apps portion sizes were small so keep that in mind when sharing. We got the burrata which was really good. Shrimp cocktail was okay but that's usually how it is. Pieces of shrimp were big. The stuffed mushrooms were really good and flavorful. No pics because we ate them too fast. The pizza was good. Kids loved it. I got the bunless burger. It has no taste. No flavor. Not even salt. I took a bite of my husbands roasted chicken which was so so good. Very moist and flavorful. I would definitely get that next time. My friend had the chicken and sausage. Also very good and it was a big portion. For dessert I got the coffee, and it was so cute with the "me and you" message one it. It was a little pricey, $275 for the both of us but I feel like we got our moneys worth. Would go back.

The place has a good amount of seating area including high tops, low booths, bar table, and a private room. There is also two unisex restrooms. I came with my boyfriend before an event at Farmingdale State College and we were on a time crunch. I made a reservation on OpenTable but it was not busy at all. We got greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. Then, a server came with ice water for the both of us before our actual waiter came to introduce herself and ask if we were ready to order. Shortly after ordering, the waitress brought us a plate of complimentary bread that comes with garlic on top and olive oil dip on bottom. We got the fried calamari which was perfectly battered (not too little nor too thick) and fried perfectly (not too burnt nor too pale). The taste was great and went well with the marinara sauce. The Clams Oreganata were delicious too - very meaty and flavorful with a nice sauce and lemon to squeeze on top. The Clams Vespa is very unique and creamy. It reminds me of a white Alfredo sauce with baked clams. They had a huge variety of drinks and it was hard for me to choose, but the lady recommended me the Sicilian Kiss which is a strawberry flavored cocktail. It is supposed to be on the sweeter side but the alcohol was strong too. As for our main entree, we got the Papperdelle Bolognese which was a veal, pork, beef ragu on ribbon pasta. Very well cooked and the taste and texture went perfectly together. We were so full, but never skip on dessert! I'm personally not a fan of cheesecake, but they have creme brulee cheesecake and rainbow cookie cheesecake which I would have loved to try if it wasn't for the cheesecake. But I was happy to find out I could order the rainbow cookie gelato that usually comes with the cheesecake. That was yummy! The texture reminded me of the cake mix Ice-Cream from Carvel and the flavor is not too strong. Overall, great vibes and service. Will definitely be back to the the pizza and other pastas.

My last review was six years ago, and I'm happy to say Trento is still doing things right…read more We arrived around 6 PM on a Friday night and, as always, the huge parking lot is a big plus. On Long Island, easy parking can make or break a night out, and Trento definitely delivers there. We grabbed seats at the large, comfortable bar and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. We let our server pick for us, and both choices were excellent. For food, we split the fig, gorgonzola, and prosciutto salad. Beautifully presented and full of flavor. For our entrée, we shared a pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage--another solid dish. But the real standout might have been the focaccia bread. Honestly, some of the best I've ever had--fresh, light, and incredibly delicious. Great food, a comfortable atmosphere, and nice to see a place remain consistently good after all these years. Nice job, Trento.

Our waiter Kumar was excellent! On point with a great sense of humor. I thanked him for being so patient with us while we made up our minds on what to order and he said that's what he is. A WAIT er! Hahaha! Only Harold & I ordered apps. I got the steak tartare and Harold ordered the Kobe beef meatball which he shared with Pat. I tasted the meatball, it was so good. Huge but tender. But my steak tartare was the favorite dish of the night. I like the fact that the beef was finely cubed and the seasoning was different from others that I have had but quite delicious. The shredded truffle was a nice touch. The Stracciatella cheese was more abundant than expected but not overpowering. We all ordered different entrées, chicken Parm, a Seabass that was on special, the salmon dish and I got the veal chop All of us loved our dishes. I didn't taste the other entrées so I can't comment on them, but they all looked amazing but my Veal Chop was definitely worth coming back for! I love a good pounded veal chop, and the marsala sauce was delicious without being cloyingly sweet, which sometimes a marsala sauce can be. Also my Prickly Pear Margarita was delicious! Fruity & powerful! Sorry I haven't been here sooner. Thanks Harold! 2-27-2026

I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.
