After a long day of driving I stopped in to pick up food to take back to my hotel room. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and while I was waiting for my order I walked next door to the gas station mini mart to get a beer to enjoy with my food. I ordered the tortellini and added pesto sauce. When I opened it up it looked lovely but for an $18+ meal I expected just a bit more ($16 for the pasta and sauce plus tip). 12 tortellinis. However I had enough sauce left over that it could have covered two or three more orders. It did come with one tiny slice of garlic bread. On the positive side, the pasta and pesto was pretty darn good. I'm not a garlic bread fan so I skipped that. The bowls of pasta I saw customers eating in the restaurant seemed pretty generous so if I were to go back I guess I'd eat in instead of taking out. read more

While recently passing through Willits, we realized we were hungry and thought pizza sounded nice. Based on Yelp reviews, we decided to give La Siciliana a try. And boy- are we sure glad we did! We ordered the #9 Rancher, which has pepperoni, salami, and fennel sausage. The cheese was ample and delicious, and the crust was excellent. Most important for us is that it was a handmade pizza- not just some factory output that one finds at large chain restaurants. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The freshness of the Caprese salad with the house Italian dressing was the perfect start to dinner that just got better. We had the tortellini with garlic and herb sauce, and chicken; as well as the penne with Alfredo sauce and sausage. Such a great atmosphere. Our waiter was extremely friendly, and had some really good suggestions. We loved everything. we ordered a large pizza, half S&M and half Kapila Phoenix. It was so good. We also ordered pasta. I had pesto ravioli, and my partner ordered the gnocchi with a rosa sauce. The breadsticks were perfect for dipping in our pasta sauce. Portions are very generous. My husband and I stopped here on our trip from Fort Bragg back home to Grass Valley. We ordered the bread with 4 dips and the fireman's furry pizza. The bread was good, it was fresh, it comes with olive oil, vinegar, a spicy red sauce, and a home made pesto. Our favorite was the spicy red sauce. The pizza was delicious! It was quite spicy but we enjoy our spicy food :) our server Russel was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome. This is a cozy restaurant that is deceiving in how tasty their food is. We were driving back from the Eureka area and were starving. We ordered two salads caprese salad and the house salad. Both were tasty. And the balsamic vinaigrette over the caprese salad was yummy. We also ordered two pizzas. Redwood logger and another one I can't remember. The crust was nice. Not too crunchy but not too soft either. I hate when crusts cut the roof of your mouth. We found the pizza place on google maps. The guys serving us were nice and refilled our drinks as well. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! On a family road trip and found this restaurant by chance. The waiter was kind and let us know that if we wanted the pasta there would be a wait because the machine was broken. Being gluten free, I got the (gf) gnocchi and was not disappointed! The rose sauce that I got with it was divine and wish I could have bottled it up to take home. My daughter loved the meatballs and the pizza and Caesar were devoured. We had a lovely conversation with others at the restaurant and the waiter and just added to the friendly atmosphere. Man I went up recycling me and my son wanted something different to eat and we're from Ukiah, Seen this on Yelp, handled our recycle business, stopped by and look at the menu and voila!!!! I'm 54 years old raising Willis and Ukiah and this is the best absolutely hands-down the best Italian food I've ever tasted! Wow! What a place to have discovered in Willits. The reviews don't lie. I had the Penne pasta with the Carbonara sauce with shredded chicken. Pasta was cooked perfectly, and plenty of sauce with out being too much. Great flavor. My husband had the pesto cream sauce with meatballs. To me, his was good, but I liked mine better. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and making sure we were happy with everything. This is a must on your way through Willits. We stopped for lunch on our way to Fort Bragg. The service was friendly and very prompt. We had the appetizer kabobs and they're very nice and fresh. We also order the Sicilian salad, prepared with the chef's mother's recipe and it was really nice. As a main course we had the Margherita pizza and it was super tasty. It's obvious that they use fresh and quality ingredients. The chef even came to the table and asked if everything was to our liking. We're very happy with our visit. Good food, sour service This is strictly a pizza and pasta place, there are no meat or seafood dishes. We shared a Sicilian salad and it was very good. A large serving for 2 with lettuce, pecans, dried currants, olives and crumbled Gorgonzola. Flatbread comes with the meal, according to the menu but the waitress didn't bring any. We were almost finished with the salad and I finally asked her for bread. The waitress acted like it was an imposition, dropped off the cold, dry bread quickly and went back to the reception counter like she was so busy. There were only 4 tables mostly couples and she spent most of the time at the counter talking with the other staff. The bread was dry, cold and flavorless. I finally got up from our table and asked the waitress for some olive oil or butter. Again, she seemed like it was an unusual request but asked if I preferred butter or olive oil. I said, well I prefer olive oil. She replied with a huff, I've got to order it from the kitchen. Mind you this is an Italian restaurant but olive oil for bread is a tall order. I said never mind, I thought you might have little shaker bottles of olive oil, butter is okay. She went to the fridge and abruptly dropped off 4 pats of hard, cold butter. We had nearly finished our one glass of wine before the meal arrived and she did not ask if we wanted another. Too busy talking with the bus lady at reception counter and you can hear every word including talking about the other customers. Okay, it gets better thank goodness. The food finally came and it was good. The gnocchi was delicate and rose sauce (tomato/cream) was very good. My husband ordered raviolis in carbonara sauce and it was flavorful but too salty and the sauce which is usually thick was runny like soup. But it tasted pretty good, I like salt... Almost finished with our meals and wine glasses were still empty. The atmosphere wasn't exactly cozy so we decided to go home and not ask for more wine. I only ate half of my meal and it sat on the edge of the table for a while. No follow up from the waitress. She didn't ask if we wanted more to drink, didn't take away my half eaten meal or ask if I wanted to take it home. Didn't ask if we wanted desert. I finally told her I'd like to take my meal to go. She said "do you want a box?" Really? Sorry but I was exasperated and replied "I'd like something" Other than that remark I was pleasant and polite considering poor service, but I had had it. She ran off back to reception desk to get the box and complained to the other staff about me. I was only 10 feet away in a very small room and you hear every word. We won't be returning. read more
