We loved this little place in Willits. The service was excellent and the bread was refilled and served hot I love warm bread! The dips were delicious they were Basil pesto, Extra Virgin olive oil, their house made red sauce Sugo Sauce and balsamic vinegar. We were half way through the bread and dips before I took those pictures. We were getting into the second round of bread when our entrees came. My husband enjoyed the Spaghetti with Creamy Pesto! My mother-in-law loved the Penne with Creamy Pesto! The creamy pesto was different from others I've had more of a buttery pesto not a white sauce pesto it was very fresh and light not heavy!! I had the amazing Rosa Sauce, which is the Sugo sauce mixed with Alfredo loved love loved it on my fluffy creamy cheese ravioli which tasted homemade!! All Pasta was topped with Fresh Romano Cheese it was perfect and I didn't need to add anything more very balanced and flavorful!! Love that they also serve Frey Wine. The atmosphere is basic; plastic red and white checked tablecloths and giant tv. Could be upgraded for sure but go for the food!! Gluten Free options available like Gluten Free Gnocchi and Chickpea Pasta. Plenty for the meat eaters too. We made a point of getting the pasta selections this time because we don't have a sit down Italian restaurant in our town anymore. But tons of Pizza options. I'm a huge fan of sauces and pasta as you can see from other reviews. We're definitely going back for more soon!! It's a small restaurant so if you have a large party you might want to make a reservation.

We've been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant in our area for quite some time and this restaurant is really a little hidden gem . The owner/chef came out and talked with us and asked how we liked our dinners and my Sicilian husband raved about his delicious raviolis topped with freshly made Alfredo sauce. And I really enjoyed the cannoli dessert topped with savory cherry sauce. The waitress was so friendly and very attentive. We enjoyed the whole experience very much! We will definitely be back soon!!

We arrived on a Saturday night and the place was fairly busy. The host was very kind and respectful. I ordered a Caprese salad, which was ok. The tomatoes were fresh and the cheese tasked ok. I was a bit disappointed, but it wasn't a fancy dish to begin with The pene also tasted a bit unflavored. The bread that comes with Pene was good. Overall, it is an ok food and a good place to eat. Nothing to complain.

I was invited to try this place by a friend who heard great things, looking at it from the outside I was skeptical. This is a prime example of 'Don't judge a book by its cover'. There was ample seating with some interesting pictures and art. Our hostess Terri greeted us with her Long Island accent and I was instantly transported back to my youth. She was forthcoming, open, honest and knowledgeable about the menu. The meatballs were giant and hearty, full of flavor. The bread was perfect and came with great dipping sauces. The Sugo with extra artichoke heats was a big hit. I chose penne Puttanesca extra spicy and I cannot rave enough about it. The only thing I missed was the cannoli, which I will break my no sweets diet. I'll be back to try the pizza too, Terri said it was the closest to a New York pie you could get. Give this place a try.

This place was AMAZING! We went for pasta dinner before a half marathon at Avenue of the Giants. They brought us great free bread while we waited and the plates of pasta were huge and all delicious. We got puttanesca with meatballs, arrabbiata with sausage, and shrimp scampi. The puttanesca was especially good. Everything was made to order. Our waitress was phenomenal and very attentive and funny. After the meal the chef actually came out to talk to us and asked who had ordered what and if we had enjoyed it. We weren't going to get dessert but ended up splitting a slice of cheesecake which was also so delicious. So glad we stopped here! We had an awesome time! FYI there's a credit card surcharge so pay cash if you can!

The last slice 3 were taken home, 1 made it back...good stuff.

Could i get pasta con sarde at la siciliana? what about pasta with puttanesca sauce? sicilian food is better than that from any other part of italy. i guess my question is 'do you provide food with anchovies?' i've eaten there two or three times

Keep going and you'll find a sandwich counter on one side and a gift shop full of knickknacks on the other. Beyond that? An ice cream and dessert/pastry counter, plus shelf after shelf of edible gifts: uncooked pastas, sauces, jams, cheeses... the list goes on. I thought the bathrooms were all the way in the back... but then I discovered that there's an entire PIZZERIA AND PUB back there too! SAY WHAT?! Any way, I was really grateful for Granzella's because I found some excellent gifts there!

The restaurant was easy to find, and I loved the charming décor it felt like a genuine Italian restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of my favorite surprises was the Limoncello Spritz. After a day of wine tasting, it was the perfect light and refreshing drink to end the day. Great food, outstanding service, and a wonderful dining experience. I'll definitely be back!

She was so busy every single one of the bar seats was taken, and she did a fantastic job balancing all of it. Overall the food was an exceptional experience. For starters we got the truffle fries, and A Minestrone soup. The truffle fries were delicious, and had a bit if a kick to them so if you dont like spicy keep that in mind. The Soup was delicious and a great size for the small soup portion. I ordered the Lasagna with meat sauce and its light delicate layers were delicious, and perfectly balanced with the cheese. The server was helpful and informative and told my friend about the Mushroom cream sauce for her ravioli that if you love mushrooms you'll love it but if you don't then steer away. And we LOVE mushrooms and the ravioli paired perfectly with the heavy mushroom cream sauce. We also got the Steak and ordered it medium rare, when it came to us and it was closer to blue/rare the server/bartender didn't hesitate to apologize and in a flash take it back. The cooks remade it and it was perfectly medium rare with that nice browning on the outside and a small bit it pink in the center. We were very satisfied and it was such a lovely touch the manager did come out before the end of our meal to ensure we were satisfied and apologized for the discrepancy in the meal. The fact it was busy every single table full and the bar also being full and the manager still coming to ensure our satisfaction was what true hospitality is all about!! 100000% recommendations for this place and will be coming back!

We loved the atmosphere which they have live music playing! Our server was very kind and gave us recommendations. We were able to split and share a Cesar salad and they gave two plates to share which was kind instead of one big plate and we appreciated that. I give 4/5 stars for the quality of the food only because I felt the spaghetti noodles were a little salty along with the sauce being salty. I love love love spaghetti and this was the first time I've been to an Italian restaurant and felt something was salty because I'm never one to complain. It could have been an off day but from the time we ordered to the actual dinner entrees to come took more than 20 minutes and it wasn't too crowded. Also, we ordered cannolis and the shell didn't seem crunchy/fresh but the flavor was there and the texture of the ricotta was smooth! For a couple who ordered 2 appetizers , two main entrees, one bottle of red wine , and two cannolis to share, we spent about 200 which was a little bit pricier than we usual experience at a typical Italian restaurant so just a heads up. Otherwise, this is a good place for fine dining in the area with nice staff and good portion food

We were in the mood for pasta/italian. Okay....I wasn't…read moregoing to write a review this time because small towns and local restaurants need to survive so I didn't take any photos. I was just expecting decent. But I think what's unsettling is the price point so here is what we thought so you can make your own decision. I had a starter, the PAN SEARED DAY BOAT SCALLOPS. With this dish you get 3 scallops. I imagined typical-sized scallops but these were super small, about the size of a quarter (coin). The sauce and fennel salad tasted fine but for price I was imagining bigger. I think these were $24. The scallops were not that "fresh off the boat" taste, but edible. For price, I would say $18 at most. To be fair. The pasta with marinara was decent, but for boxed pasta and most likely canned sauce, $30 is a bit much to ask. We Asked for extra Parmesan cheese, instead of freshly shredded at the table, it came in a dish. That's more about being an Italian restaurant than cost. But to far, $20-$22, with fresh Parmesan! Not $30. We also ordered a mixed green salad, which was more like a side salad for 1. Again overpriced. The waiter said it was enough for 2 but it's not that big! Maybe 1 person eats and the 2nd person gets 2 bites. We did like the dressing. So in the end, the food was just okay (not fresh) but what made it all hard to swallow was the price point for quality ratio. Big city prices. $100, for 2. ;a plate of pasta, a starter, 1 salad, & 2 glasses of wine).
