Great spot! Original style crust, flavorful, the car ride home was maybe more difficult to not eat a slice. The step father sandwich is maybe the best sandwich I've ever had. The margarita style pizza was saucy and delicious. Mamba was just delicious and light but flavorful. All in all you can tell why this is rated one of the best pizzas in LA. I ordered take out from this "pizza" joint recently and it was the single worst pizza experience I have ever had in LA, & that's saying something because most of the pizza here is terrible. I ordered their "Sicilian" pizza, which is over-priced, salted to inedibility and also NOT A SICILIAN. A Sicilian pizza is a rectangle-shaped pizza with heavier/thicker dough, should be like a focaccia; LaSorted's plopped out a circle-shaped abomination that was buttery, salted like a casino buffet & weirdly hard. The Kirk's Signature pizza was also salted beyond reason, making it totally impossible to eat at all. If you wanna eat here, it's your money to waste & your stomach to horrifically upset, but I encourage you to literally go ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

Checked out this pizza spot a few weeks back. Actually thought it was affiliated with Tommy Lasorda but it's not. The story behind how they started is pretty interesting though. Well now let's talk about the food. I order the hot wings and a few boxes of pizza. The flavor was delicious just slightly burned on the bottom. I saw this place on social media. I'm always on the lookout for the perfect sandwich. Intentionally sourced bread. That's your starting point. If you chose bread that is "good enough" you've already lost me. So let's start there. The bread that La Sorted's selected is incredible. It has just enough softness to make it easy to chew, yet has a wonderful texture and flavor to accent the ingredients. Think Ringo Starr. The bread is playing to the specific sandwich. Now, let's get to the main ingredient, Mortadella with pistachios. In all reality, the meat and bread would be perfect alone. However, why not add Burrata and pistachio crème to make it epic! The simplicity of this sandwich is the beauty. Bread plus three ingredients. Case closed. These guys know what they are doing. No show off unnecessary ingredients. My next visit will be for pizza. Highly recommend ordering online so you just pick up when you get there! Parking can be packed but it is WORTH IT. I've tried 5 different pizzas with different styles of bread they make and it's all delicious. Their sandwiches and fried zucchini is also game changing. The few seats outside were taken, so I had to drive home (less than 15 minutes) to eat. Turkey tenders were very, very good. I can see why it's such a popular item. The fries were okay. A lot more greasy than I'd like and not very crispy. Could be due to having to drive home, but I doubt it. They look better than they taste, so it was a let down. Pizza isn't bad. Just got regular cheese. It's also pretty greasy. read more

The food here is good. I get why there's hype now about this place. It's pretty good. I would say that you should definitely try it if you're experimenting with Italian and you're in Los Angeles. Haven't had their pizzas yet (full disclosure). I've only had sandwiches, but they were so brilliant and they were exactly what I was looking for. The service was really kind. It's run by really nice people. There's absolutely nowhere inside to sit. There's a couple seats outside but you'll be in the sun and you'll be in a parking lot. That's on the busiest part of Sunset. So definitely plan to get your food and take it to a local park or something. You can go eat it at the silverlake reservoir nearby. If you're new to LA and don't know where to go. read more

"Unique, Californian vineyard vibe brick oven pizza". This place definitely has some unique flavor pizza and sandwiches. I tried the Sausage & Peppers pizza, Kale & Sausage Pizza, and mortadella sandwich. Sandwich was my favorite, followed by Sausage Pepper over the Kale pizza. All 3 items were a bit on the sweet side, with the pizza having sour notes (maybe from the sour dough but the toppings, perhaps the chili oil also had sour notes). The sandwich's focaccia bread was crispy (made crispy via soaking in oil first it seems), and was a generous size and flavorful. The Sausage & Peppers pizza was delightfully more tomato based tasting (perhaps it's the red pepper paste) than I expected (per the menu description). The sausages on both pizzas are more small/grinded up than large chunks. The dough is a bit on the crispy/harder/thicker side being sourdough, (the bottom was burnt from the oven, maybe 1 time thing), large/wide crust, but still not unpleasant. There's slightly less cheese (less cheese pull but it's probably a healthier amount) and pizzas only come in 1 size. The actual size is sufficiently large relative to its price, comparable to competitors. Overall, the pizzas and food make me think of homemade, gourmet style pizza/food you're enjoying while sipping California wine at a friend's/private California vineyard on a refreshing spring day (lol). It's not the usual fatty/oily "American" typical pizza style, nor is it traditional Italian pizza, It's definitely a custom twist from the owners who grew up in Los Angeles. I can't give it 5 stars as personally, wasn't exactly what I was looking for nor was it a taste that really stood out to me per my own preferences, but I would definitely try more from this place and recommend it to others. Lastly, delivery was fast, quickly fulfilled. Next day update: the Kale sausage pizza in the airfryer for 2 mins at 350F is phenomenal. Like a crispy, light flatbread. Very yummy! I came here a couple times. I don't know that I think it's so great. I think the first thing I don't love about it is usually when you walk up to the window there's never anybody there which I think there probably should be somebody there. Service and the experience in general isn't great. A lot of flavors they don't really sell in a slice. I bought a slice of the burrata. I didn't even finish it because it was so bland. There is no flavor from the sauce. It feels like you're eating a pizza slice from the 1980s which I think is what some people love about it. It feels very nostalgic. But to be honest, it's not good pizza imo. It feels like you're paying six dollars for $1.50 slice. read more

My friend and I had La Sorted's 'Spicy But Oh So Sweet Boy Pizza' and I was impressed. It had a thin crust and tons of pepperoni on top, plus hit 100 reviews salami, a spicy spread AND spicy honey. Even though I've said the word spicy like a million times, I swear it wasn't bad. Just a bit of heat and what I didn't mention was the fresh mozarella. There were a few chunks of the cheese on top which evened out the spice nicely. Great flavor and even better boxes. Love a place that pays attention to the details and created an instagrammable moment for me. I haven't yet been in the restaurant proper so would love to go and try some of their other pizzas fresh out of the oven! And the sandwiches look divine, as well. read more

I wanted to like it but the pizza was super greasy (too high a heat applied to even the best cheese will break it) and the price of that disappointment was unpalatable. This place gets a big heck yah for their pizza and sandwiches. My daughter n hubby found it and doordashed it a few weeks ago. When I asked my vegetarian kid what kind of pizza she wanted she said can we get this place again? The mortadella sandwich is mouth watering. A little too much butter and wish it had another flavor in there to cut it up, but still so delicious. Classic, fresh pepperoni pizza with some honey on top. Wow! Artichoke pesto - I wanted to just try another. Although the employee warned me it may be a little one note, I got it. It was good! My wife and I just recently learned about La Sorted's. Really good pizza. The sauce is amazing and the dough is so freaking good I could probably eat it on its own everyday. In the past week, they've been cooking up meals for emergency personnel responding to the recent wildfires and to people who have been affected by them. My wife and I delivered one of these orders to a fire station in West Hills and it just doesn't get any better than that. Delicious food made by a local business that is actually being a part of the community they live in, supporting those in need at a time when it counts the most, and trying to keep that positive energy going when it's so easy to feel like there's no hope. First of all, great bread: if the bread is good a sandwich is 80% successful. I think the flavor profile is not very balanced: the first bit was amazing but by the end it got too salty. One easy solution is a drizzle of honey/hot honey. I purchased a side of hot honey and I put it on half of my sandwich, I think it for sure made it better, so I would suggest the restaurant to consider adding it to the recipe, just a drizzle and it would do the trick. read more
